501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: AFCON Qualifiers 2023 on: December 11, 2023, 11:41:50 PM
  • Male Player of the Year - Victor Osimhen
Very well deserved, had they given another player, it would have been clear robbery. Now we have the best player in Africa, we should be able to win the AFCON next year.

And yes, your wish was granted, Morocco won the National Team of the Year(Men) awards.
Had to be them, they took the the world cup very seriously, it earned them world recognition, and also special recognition for their players who got better deals from bigger clubs that came for them.

Maybe in ten years we'd see the super eagles win the National Team of the year. We are not ready yet.
Sad thing is that we already have a very golden team with many talented players, Management has not exactly clicked, else we can win National team of the year.

Congratulations @smartvirus

Son masterclass today, I am sure some of those that were saying he can't play without Maddison are now a bit afraid for their ranks without him in the team.
I was just very unlucky with other players in my team, if they picked up some points, I would have scored more points because I was only lucky with Son who had a good game and was also my captain. Also lucky with Pickford, scored me 10pts.

503  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the absance of Bitcoin affect the crypto Industry? on: December 10, 2023, 07:23:59 PM
Cardano Founder right? He is going to say just anything to make sure that people pay some attention to what he has created. If something affects bitcoins, no one is trust any other cryptocurrency in the market.

They may look like they are going to survive, but will all crumble in no time.
504  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Sanction On Mixers Would Make This Forum Boring on: December 10, 2023, 06:40:43 PM
I just read the post by the admin stating that mixers will be banned on the forum from January 1. Considering that mixers and casinos seem to be the biggest advertisers here, I foresee a drop in revenue for the forum.
The forum does not depend on  advertisers. The forum will continue without mixers smoothly. Why is this even a topic? Do you think it was an easy decision for Theymos to take?

The way I see it, it implies that the government is still in charge of the direction Bitcoin moves. If they cannot control Bitcoin, they can move against the appurtenances of the cryptocurrency: mixers, exchanges, who knows... even this forum, etc.
There are other forums where mixers can be advertised, and some of them are already considering a move there.
505  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The worst slot provider ever? on: December 08, 2023, 11:41:59 PM
~
I will not be surprised if someone's choice is another person's best slot provider.

It is normal that what is good for the goose may not also good for the gander. What is another man's poison is another man's food. If a particular slot Provider is generally not good it will be out of business because nobody will patronise them because of their general bad service.
506  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I see many users talk about trading but does anyone here actually trading? on: December 08, 2023, 04:47:40 PM
I don't want to mention any names for many reasons I think everyone have good intentions but most of the posts and tips makes zero sense and when I read it I know that the person that posted that is not a good trader and probably never had trading at all himself/herself.
You will know a trader from the tenses used in their replies or post on the trading board. There are tenses that are used by traders, and to be a trader talking to other traders, there is no way you will be able to express yourself without using those tenses.

Legendary rank can be a newbie trader and a newbie rank can be a legendary trader.
Legendary in rank does not mean that the person has an idea on every subject. But it should mean that there should be the maturity to contribute on topics where you have an idea and ignore others and simply read where you do not have knowledge.
507  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling for newbies on: December 08, 2023, 03:53:04 PM
I'm new here, I'm looking for recommendations for a game to bet some money that I don't mind losing,
How long do you think you will be able to stay without minding if you loose the game or not? will you keep gambling when you keep loosing and it begins to threaten your finance? If you are looking for games to gamble on, check your interest and see which game you are attracted to more. How can you check your interest? Try out many of the games that will be recommended to you, or if no suitable is recommended, you can choose one of the reputed casino's and gambling platforms on the forum, and go check out the variety of games they offer. A choice will be much easier to make after.
508  Other / Meta / Re: Was the forum better before without Merit or is it better now with Merit? on: December 08, 2023, 03:45:39 PM
Members, reputable members. Was it better before back then when this forum was without merits or is it better or even much better now with merits? Please explain your answer so users like me can get an idea how it was and what you prefer. Smiley
What do you mean better? Has useful information stop being spread here? are there not still very many helpful topics created by still very quality writers? The forum is good, and it just strikes me that if the merit system was added to the forum when it was not a part of the original plan, then it means it was meant to make the forum better as an improvement. At this stage I the forum where things has remained like nice and running with the merit system, the forum will feel odd if the merit system is abolished.

509  Economy / Economics / Re: my experience of brick and mortar banking on: December 08, 2023, 03:04:38 PM
~
Well Brick and mortar banks have different customer services all around the world. Some of their services in some places were technology has not yet grown to the extent where majority have an understanding of doing things online, are still performed in the banks, The brick and Mortar banks and their services are not always terrible, it is likely just the one you experienced.

But generally, banks since they have a large customer base already and there is already the awareness about them that almost everyone needs a bank account can afford to act as they like now unlike before where people still kept their money at home in save boxes and through other means. The banks struggled for customers, and were even more friendly, not anymore where their services are poorer, and they can deduct money as they like from your account for silly reasons.
510  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Count down to Bitcoin halving. on: December 08, 2023, 02:23:30 PM
It would also be nice to keep track of the halving count down and activities...
A countdown runs to zero, it indicates an action is meant to take place after the countdown elapses. What is the countdown meant for? Keeping track of when the halving is meant to happen can help you maintain discipline and stay more committed to gathering more bitcoins for yourself since you know how limited the time is. But should the Halving be the target to hold bitcoins up to? NO!

There is a life after the halving, a life where bitcoins will still exist, we also have to plan on what action we will take during the halving to ensure we still have bitcoin after.
511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will you say within your limits to encourage responsible gambling? on: December 07, 2023, 11:35:27 PM
Walk away, Take your winnings, go!"
If you are caught on camera telling clients to walk away and take their winnings, you may loose your job as it may be seen as you chasing away the customers from the business, remembering that your win is the casino or gambling house's loss, and your loss is their win.

If you however say this
"It is very admirable to know when to stop"
It is very much better because it is more appropriate and shows customer concern. It will not easily be misinterpreted to mean that you are chasing the customers away.
512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [banned mixer] 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: December 07, 2023, 10:54:22 PM
Salah's really playing like a midfielder this season. He did get a lot of goals so far, but he's a lot more further from goal than I initially thought he'd be.

He was furious that he was replaced yesterday, but he did play a shitty game. Hopefully he improves, but he'll need to be transferred out soon anyway.
Salah is not as young as he was, At his age, some players were no longer able to even be of any effect on their teams. He was scoring at some point in the season, but now contributing more in games like a midfielder. He is fast approaching his end as a player for Liverpool because if things continue like this, he will consider a fresh challenge in Saudi Arabia where he is a hot target.

Bad week for many of my players who gave me good points last week.
513  Economy / Economics / Re: Do brands that take sides on divisive issues lose market share? on: December 07, 2023, 08:13:10 PM
would this have happened with smaller brands? Read what this article found out.
Small brands need the attention to trend and get more attention, so activism is a good way for them to achieve it. Activism for them only has the potential of increasing their audience from the attention they get from either good or bad comments and campaigns. As a brand or business gets bigger and it's customer base mature, care has to be taken on the stance taken on many divisive issues because by then you already have an audience and should want to guard them jealousy and not take actions that will result in loosing them.
514  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Looking to sell a computer to raise money to invest in Bitcoin. on: December 07, 2023, 07:34:08 PM
Is selling a computer the right decision?
It will either be the right decision or the wrong one depending on what the computer is currently been used for. If it is a computer that has an important use and is used to fetch you money, It is not a good decision to sell it off. Buying a new one always cost more. If it is a computer that is just laying around used for unimportant things like just watching movies, selling it off to raise money for bitcoin will be a right decision. Selling off your property should be the last way you should think off to use in raising money.
515  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID is dead, "long live the new COVID". World economy get ready? on: December 07, 2023, 12:00:16 AM
1. The world economy and population has not yet everywhere moved away from the covid and events of 2022, and ... a new global pandemic awaits us ?  Your opinion - what and how to prepare for ?
Another new pandemic will be very terrible, It will not only affect  how can we prepare for it?

Number one is to stay healthy because from observation of the last pandemic, the people who were healthy had an advantage over others who were more susceptible with respiratory diseases and others. If it is possible for you, you can start planning for a secluded settlement away from people and then buy and keep safe food items, health items, and some other survival supplies.
516  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casinos and gamblers are struggling with high tx fees.? on: December 06, 2023, 11:44:48 PM
do people still gamble with these high tx fees?
The high Tx fee may only be able to discourage gamblers who are not core gamblers, The core gamblers will always find a way around it so they can keep gambling. Some of them may not even consider the high tx fees because they cannot afford to not gamble. This can be a sign of secondary addiction, which is a kind of problem.

Asides the high Tx fee, they is also the fact that bitcoins value is increasing and many hodlers will remain unwilling to want to take risks with gambling with the bitcoins they have.
517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [banned mixer] 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: December 06, 2023, 11:18:51 PM
I have just enough money to do it, and also if Mbeumo rises tonight then I will also be able to upgrade him to Saka next week (I'm tired of losing points to everyone else for not having Saka).
I had Saka, big regrets whenever I see him play and remember that I do not have him. In games where he does not score, he usually will register an assist. It is only in few games that he blanks.

I got some points from Palmer from his very good goal. The former Manchester city reserve players talking about Sterling and Palmer are contributing a lot to Chelsea, and sometimes even more than their record signings.
518  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading advice for newbies on: December 05, 2023, 06:37:17 PM
Another trading advice?

1. Learn about the volatile market
2. Learn how to analyze chart
This two are the same to me. Trading involves a lot of learning from when you are new to when you become older in trading. When new it requires learning,  when old it requires a lot of unlearning and relearning. Learning never stops.

3. Take your time to practice demo trading before going into real trading.
Take your time, but not too much time. Trying to get everything right before starting to trade can take forever, you will never learn some things if you do not trade live on the market.

4. Do not be greedy, take profit when it’s best to do that, do not hope to get the whole world at a time.
Take profit, but not too early and not too late.
519  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $40k Price Target Achieved on: December 05, 2023, 04:16:22 PM
On 7th June, 2023 I posted on my TradingView and even here on Bitcointalk that Bitcoin is ready for the next move i.e. to reach $40k.
And it finally happened this week. Bitcoin price is clearly at $41k and it took 168 Days or 24 weeks for the target to be achieved.
There were many resistance to this price, that is why it took so long for the 40k mark to be breached. From the charts too, we look to be having an upward trend with many buyers than sellers. IMO, I expect the bullish trend to continue because of how much everyone is looking forward to next year for bitcoins. Even if there appears some kind of draw back in the price at some point like things bearish, ignore it. It is a general believe that everyone expects bitcoins to do well next year, so it is affecting people making them buy more bitcoins.
520  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Include Or Always Include Gambling In Your New Year's Resolution on: December 04, 2023, 04:22:15 PM
My question do you include gambling in your new resolution, and what's your New Year's resolution about gambling?
Resolutions require extra level of discipline to keep, It is like an agreement between you and the future, but you do not need to wait until the new year starts before you do away with habits you do not want next year. Today is a good time to start so by the new year when making the resolutions, it will be easier to keep.

Luckily for me, I am a very responsible gambler, so my resolution on gambling will be to try as much as I can to remain responsible gambling next year.
