I remember Spoetnik saying they would kill the scene. Anyway, I think the most effective way of hindering shit/scamcoins is to warn new people as early as possible, so they don't have to learn the hard way, and I think this thread has done some of that.
That is not really consistent with human nature. Warnings are generally ignored, or make the forbidden fruit even more appealing. The only way for people to really learn something is to get burned/scammed. So in that sense efforts like this thread are counterproductive, though I don't think in reality this thread has done a damn thing at all. This thread was created by a scammer, blackmailer, crytpsy shill who is responsible for many/most of the broken and abandoned coins currently trading at cryptsy (the garden of eden of shitcoins). Hi all. Plz pardon my kneejerk reaction to CryptoTV's dice game. After seeing this on the Greenbacks thread, its clear now that he is working on his own. Are you using a specific web software cuz that kind of bug would be system wide?
Yes, the devs are working on it. I have posted it to the script site and warned all the other owners that they are compromised and to move their coins to a safe place. There was at least one other person who also got hacked. |

There was at least one other person who also got hacked. Dude.. You are exactly like me about two months ago. I lost 120,000WDC.. About 4BTC at the time. The exact same exploit was in his dice site.. I am told this has happened over and over to other people trying to run the software for sometime. I wanted to give it a try again.. But wanted to bait the exploiter. So only left a small amount on the site.. and bam! I got a hacker within one hour of deploying the site. I didn't even announce the site! How did they know??!?! I was able to review the logs and find out what was going on. I do know one thing, every new release needs to be scrutinized to all hell. We have no idea if the exploit was put in by the software provider or truly a bug. Not saying it was, but I trust no one at this point. I wouldn't believe a single character typed by that guy. If you are seeing the "driver has stopped.. but recovered" message :
- use GPUz to confirm that the hardware /specs are being reported properly
- are the gpus are running the same bios version ?
- refresh the thermal paste and reseat the vrm pads/ heatsink
- downclock the gpu core to AMD's stock settings

All of MY deposits have gone throught just fine, that's weird. Well i've deposited only twice and like 600 coins together but after 2 confirms both of them were in. This must be a new issue because 2 days ago I sent 4-5 deposits totalling 2800 without a hitch. Too bad the losing streak that followed, didn't get stuck. |
