1481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC PUMP, But Every other Coin Dumping!! on: October 22, 2020, 07:51:40 PM

Just because it didn't started that way doesn't mean that it will continue that way neither, it is going to have a difference of movement speed, bitcoin could react a lot faster because it is the first one, but other altcoins could stay at their own place which makes them "look like" they gone down because they didn't increased like bitcoin but they will react later than bitcoin yet still will react anyway.

That's a fair point to be made aware of. BTC is actually climbing relatively fast and momentarily it looks like alts are doing bad when all there is to them is adjusting period.

I should add that as in the past when the same thing happened, BTC pumping meant that the whole market turned green after a while and by the looks of it BTC is on a much anticipated bull run which means that even alts will subsequently grow along with BTC but not at the same rate.
1482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 5 fastest crypto coins on: October 22, 2020, 03:23:49 PM
I can't say that I completely agree with all the coins listed as the fastest crypto coins, in particular DASH which doesn't seem to rise as fast as the others. Despite this, I do think these 5 coins if invested as long-term expected gratification these would do quite well.

In any way, even short-term gratification seems possible with Monero (XMR) which has been going pretty strong weeks prior to seeing the bTC bull-ish market trend, and doing rather well considering that most of the fiat is now being pushed and getting sucked by BTC's momentum.

1483  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin difficult to understand on: October 22, 2020, 12:44:39 PM
There are many other cryptoprojects out there that are much worse to understand than Bitcoin. Take the defi projects for instance, not to mention all the ethereum tokens to name a few. Compared to those Bitcoin is fairly easy and straight forward to understand.

It's all relative, i'd say Bitcoin is actually quite easy to understand all in all.

I agree. BTC in actual fact is probably the easiest crypto to understand and everything else after that is pretty much built on BTC. And in effect you need to get the pre-requisite which is BTC before you can even start talking about lightening network, altcoins and DEFi projects.

I find that people always find excuses not to learn because they believe it is hard to grasp the information but what's happening is that they're not interested and are not willing to learn as for them it is much easier to say I don't understand or I'll never understand. I think it is all down to attitude and mindset, as there are just so many different formats of resources to learn about cryptocurrency.

1485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC PUMP, But Every other Coin Dumping!! on: October 21, 2020, 07:53:04 PM
For last 2days bitcoin is continuing it's uptrend run. It's close to 12000$ now. But why all the alts are going down? Especially the top alt coins which had a good price before the dump.
For example BnB was 31$ when btc was 11300$ and ETH was on 380$ when BTC was 11400+$ . Now BnB at 28.7$ and ETH at 370$. Any reason for the dump?

This is the general trend. Once you spend more time in this market you'll come to realise that whenever BTC is pumping temporarily all alts may encounter downtrends and this makes absolute sense also. One way to think about this is BTC sucking up all the money from the market to propagate its bull run and once this stabilises more or less alts start adjusting also.

I hope this makes it a little more clear why some alts are down while BTC is well above 12.5k  Grin
1486  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin co-exist with the current financial system on: October 21, 2020, 06:22:09 PM
Bitcoin is the future. Does it solve the underlying problems of inequality providing utopia land? Possibly not. However, it solves the constant devaluation of currencies by governments all around the world. The world financial system is built to ensure a specific few groups of people get richer and more prosperous. That stops! Period!
bitcoin as a currency is not meant to do either one of these. it can't fix the "inequality" because it is not equipped to do so and the inflation issue that exists with fiat currencies doesn't exist in bitcoin just because of its controlled capped supply but that is only a very small thing compared to what bitcoin really offers.

bitcoin is meant to address the centralization issue with currencies. so it provides a censorship resistant global payment system that is also fast and secure.

I agree, BTC is a currency on its own that has not ties to 'inequality' (at least the type discussed above' whatsoever as in the end only the people who can afford BTC buy it, people who don't have the money don't buy into BTC. However, by this logic all else excluded this may lead to the putative dilemma of BTC and cryptocurrency in general widening the inequality gap even further.

This gap will consist initially of obstacles from inability to gain access, then move up in terms of finance (to be able to acquire it) and lastly at the level of technological understanding and innovation.
The division within sets/classes of people I can only envision it to be getting bigger and bigger.
1487  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a high roller? on: October 20, 2020, 10:44:47 PM
Once I was a high roller, and used to spend upto 0.1 btc per roll. Most of the time maximum roll value happens with martingale strategy. I encountered a massive loss out of gambling and the same has made me go low on rolls. Right now the maximum bet value doesn't exceed $10.
It only takes one bad luck consequence of which leads to massive losses and a completely changed attitude to gambling, and this is what happened to you. Perhaps, sometimes it is worth losing to realise the financial repercussions a non-risk adverse mindeset can often lead to.

Today read about a person winning from chips.gg having a bet value of $400, and a misclick getting him a winning amount of $19800 on Dice. Maybe some day I need to be such a high roller with high percentage of luck.
High rollers are sometimes born out of luck and in the case above the guy clearly got mad lucky. It would be interesting to know if this changed his attitude to gambling and his risk adversity or whether the guy walked out of gambling habits  Roll Eyes Hmmm, what would you have done? Roll Eyes

1489  Economy / Exchanges / Re: OKEX suspended withdrawals, why these exchanges do not offer insurance on: October 20, 2020, 08:01:16 PM
OKEX suspended withdrawals, why these exchanges do not offer insurance

OKEX suspended withdrawals, why these exchanges do not offer insurance of our assets while they have a registration trade mark from the governments? All governments must strictly apply these kinda regulations to these exchanges that they are responsible for their customers crypto assets otherwise that exchange will not be given a license for their operations. They should also keep the alternative assets like gold/diamond or bitcoin to the governments banks where they are registered and only offer the equal deposits of the amount they keep in governments banks so if in case there is any hack attempt or something wrong could happen with their system, they should be responsible to sell those assets to cover the loss of their customers. This must be done by binance and all other crypto exchanges otherwise governments should either not allow them to execute any operation in their region or should cancel their licenses.

This is true, and in fact since OKB, a native exchange token for OKEx, has lost nearly an additional 20% of its market value Saturday, "bringing its total drop to roughly 30% since the second-largest cryptocurrency derivatives exchange suspended withdrawals early Friday morning ”".

What's worse is that since the announcement of all withdrawals being halted "no further announcements and no timeline as to when assets will be released."
You can read more about the recent updates regarding this story here.

The situation is really bad, and it all looks like a joke, with nobody taking the responsibility to update all of the frustrated investors, no one seems to really know what's going on - and being in a limbo at a time like this must be infuriating for those whose assets are being locked up.

In case you need - Best bitcoin anonymous wallets.

There are a large number of exchanges which are and have not been that popular among traders. The fact that some of these are shutting down is not surprising to me because they have 'large shoes' to fill specially when Binance has been growing from strength to strength.
Many people are also skeptical when it comes to using new exchanges, and it is understandable when some people leave their money on exchanges.

In any way, looking at all of these listed exchanges I realise how uncommon they sound, and that's even with exclusion of the main dominators - I guess it just goes to show that there's so much competition...
1491  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are people giving up on Bitcoin too quickly? on: October 20, 2020, 09:49:30 AM
I wonder who are these people, I guess they are new to bitcoin and always want it to pump, they think crypto is a get rich quick scheme, so all they want is for it to rise to the ATH and they will sell immediately, humans always allow their emotions to get the best of them, whenever the price of bitcoin is going up, they will be happy, but when it's the other way round, they will start calling it a scam,i wish they could see bitcoin beyond that, for me I think the use case of bitcoin out weighs it's cost,it has really made life even much easier, and helped to eliminate the middle man(banks),imagine being your own bank, oh wait you're already  Cheesy, lol.

I agree, most of the people who would give up so easily on BTC are newbies. Recently, BTC has shown some green and hopefully it stays like this.
Too many people start entering the market hoping to get rich quickly and after a few weeks they just give up.

The issue is that people don't understand the long-term gratification scheme and this in turn may cause negative micro-domino effects.

I am not sure what is the right solution for this, but surely doing KYC customers for mixer is very stupid.

I agree and it is surprising that especially for a mixer many people still go for KYC. KYC is questionable even in gambling and pretty much everywhere involving crypto, so doing KYC for a mixer is not such a good idea.

Regulations are getting crazy, and what if they start to track and arrest not just owners but regular people and users?
It would not make any sense for the government representative bodies to try and go for the 'small fries' where in actual fact the issue lies with providers. There will be nothing in for them, and costs and resources won't be justifiable or at least this is what my thoughts are  Huh

1493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casinos with free withdrawal fees on: October 19, 2020, 08:16:31 PM
I'm trying to look for casinos that don't charge any withdrawal fees to their players for future reference so please help me build a list. Some casinos openly states in their ToS but others do not. There are sites that blocks my IP address too.

I've also looked for topics here but I only managed to collect a few from threads like https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5178798.0
I also used this awesome crypto casino review site https://www.btcgosu.com/

Here is what I gathered so far:

FREE for all withdrawals:

FREE but with certain conditions:

FREE but with insufficient community reviews

This list is pretty unique among places like this. Thanks for creating this thread. I'm sure many people appreciate your effort in putting something of value out here.

You mentioned that some places blocked your IP address, just try using VPN. I'd add more than just a mere suggestion but I figure I never really considered this topic or looked into it myself - didn't need to but it is something to keep in mind.
1494  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I'm very worried about my Crypto Trading. on: October 19, 2020, 03:39:46 PM
I'm very worried, Will I ever be able to make some income by trading crypto? Everything I buy is down. If I want to earn something from Crypto trading, then what do I have to do? What do I need to know?

I think the fact that you're asking on here what you need to know already indicates that little research was done before investing into these projects you are now having difficulty getting profit from. This is not good.

First, grasp which coins you want to buy, why do you think buying them will help you make profit either in the short-/long-term and also decide on which exchange out of many you want to use, which one is more attractive to you?

These are some of the initial questions you should do right away. As for how can you minimise the loss, you could always add a stop loss, or if you think the coins won't ever rise to the value you bought in maybe best to let go now, and repurpose the remainder into coins you do have some inclination/idea that will at some point go up.

Any updates from the OP? It looks like until now the issue on registering is not yet fixed I tried it again using a disposable email but it looks like I'm receiving the same email.

It seems that the site is not fully ready to launch but the owner force it to be launched.
I registered an account as well but the confirmation link is just a direct link to the site, so I believe no one is able to login till this time.
I also think that OP is not the owner of coincards, looking at some of his post history. He seems to be someone who used to be hired to make an announcement of crypto related project.
Unfortunately, he is offline after he created this ANN thread. Lets wait for him, hopefully he will comeback soon and clarify/confirm about what is wrong with the registration.

I agree, there seem to still be quite a few bugs the owner needs to clear before launching it properly. So far, a lot of complains have appeared about not being able to sign in, including me. There is not need to rush things, better to have them done properly then to get negative associations with this new project which could potentially be a hit  Tongue

I'm sure if the owner is keen enough and serious will get this sorted out  Smiley
1496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust Active telegram Groups? on: October 19, 2020, 08:11:02 AM
I think if you're looking to gather information or to keep up to date with what's happening across cryptocurrency in general Active Telegram groups are a good source.
Other than that, I wouldn't go trusting people on there about potential good projects. The best I'd do is look them up only if I think they're good I'll show interest not otherwise.

So, active telegram groups are great for disseminating information but my trust doesn't go any further than that.
1497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Trading Platform! on: October 18, 2020, 06:55:23 PM
Straight up with my hands down, I give Binance the credit. There's a good reason why this exchange is the one leading this industry.  This is a latest review discussion whether Binance is still the top exchange (source here). The conclusion from this so far is that it still is.

What I really like about Binance is how they integrated all the Earn options, that's the best thing and one important feature that I've seen missing or incomplete from other exchanges like KuCoin.
1498  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investment plan on: October 18, 2020, 03:32:43 PM
Along the same lines as stated before, the only two major crypto investments for long-term HODLing are BTC and ETH.

These are the top2 dominant coins on the crypto market right now and it is almost guaranteed (not 100% though) that these in the long run will lead to profit.

Even in the worst case scenario where the market will suffer a downtrend you can still get some form of return via compounding and or other forms of lending or even staking. BTC and ETH staking as well as the other options are available nearly on all major exchanges so you could still make some extra on the side until the market upturns into the growth phase again.

This is my opinion and this is what I'd do in your situation but feel free to pick and choose the bits that suit you best  Cheesy

Hourly Freerolls

You can now play a Freeroll every hour with no requirements.
Just totally free to join and play, $1 Freeroll at 45 past each hour.

https://play.roundercasino.com

Similar question to the one asked earlier about what would happen if you win with these Freerolls? To withdraw will you still need to go through the long procedure of providing KYC verification, and what happens if this person fails KYC does that mean they can never withdraw their earnings?

I think this is an interesting question, since many gamblers enjoy the experience and if they happen to win then they're faced with the situation where they have to do KYC and this can be uncomfortable for many to do? How does the team approach this, is there an alternative?
