1501  Other / Off-topic / Re: How Do You Think About UFO Catcher? on: August 18, 2022, 05:13:23 PM
I believe we all have played it during our childhood. Such kind of Claw machines are still found in big malls in almost all countries and their main consumers are children. I don't think it's harmful in any way till the time they are catching soft toys and chocolates with it. They do not form gambling habit due to such games. This is something we are overthinking.

Gambling is a serious business. When the kids are attracted to money, then it won't be a great thing and that's when the guardians need to get serious.
1502  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How often do you use Bitcoin? on: August 18, 2022, 12:44:21 PM
To be honest, I don't have any option to use bitcoin. So it's a form of investment to me. When I had purchased my first home back in 2017, I coverted a good amount from my holding to pay the token amount to take care of the registration cost and other government taxes. Since my bitcoin savings helped me to take care of such a huge expense, I don't usually sell off my bitcoins.

I see one person has responded as daily. I would like to know his/her experience.
1503  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT and what to buy now? on: August 17, 2022, 07:04:33 PM
hello everyone, I'm new to this site, but I have a strange feeling that bitcoin will not grow more than $ 26,000 anymore, I want to know your opinion, and where is it better to invest your bitcoins now? I heard that the NFT market is going up very well now, which NFT is better to invest in? or is it better to leave bitcoin, everyone who will help, and I will earn on this, I will throw in $ 10
my telegram https://t.me/muv_neo

Lol!!!!

If you have money in your pocket that you want to invest in cryptos, invest in Bitcoin and ETH only. You may add some privacy coins like Monero as well just for the future. But no NFT please!

But you like gambling,  then you can buy some NFTs for sure. But be ready to take the hit if the money goes to zero. That will never be the case for Bitcoin and ETH.
1504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Africa needs a single digital currency to prosper. on: August 17, 2022, 05:52:57 PM
Africa needs a transparent and western influence free administration to prosper. Nature has blessed Africa with rich natural resources. But due to the administration, the benefits are not reaching to common people. Also it needs to defeat the terrorist organizations operating out of Africa.

A single digital currency can surely help but this is not the most important thing for Africa to prosper. It's can be seen as a cost cutting initiative which can also bring transparency into their financial framework. Only having a digital currency can't help!
1505  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Hong Kong consider Bitcoin? on: August 17, 2022, 05:23:31 PM
Nope! I don't see it happening! Bitcoin isn't created to alleviate economical downturn. It is just a truatless currency. If Hong Kong is already struggling with their currency rate fluctuations, bitcoin will make it worse because it is an extremely dynamic currency system.

So no leader will choose that path for sure. Also China has a direct control over Hong Kong and the Chinese government is known for their hatred against cryptocurrency. That's another reason why Hongkong will not adopt cryptocurrency as a legal tender.
1506  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Btc crime on: August 17, 2022, 03:09:56 PM
Recently 3 suspects were arrested by Israel police for laundering money internationally through crypto. This money was stolen from France. This is a major international money-laundry.

Such kind of incidents are quite frequent nowadays. Also I don't foresee a reduction in this numbers of money laundering using cryptocurrency. The NFT market has given an entirely new route for such non sense. But can we blame the money itself for such things?

The answe is no! Money laundering has been happening since ages. Criminals will always keep on doing their thing but does that make the money dirty? Such crimes has nothing to do with bitcoin. It's just a acceptable medium of exchange. Take it that way!
1507  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it me or the private sector in the EU is dead ? on: August 16, 2022, 06:12:41 PM
High inflation is everywhere! But that does not mean that the businesses are dead. EU is a high cost region compared to Asian and African countries. So think rationally, if you are in need of a web developer, would you hire someone at 30 EUR hourly rate or 5 EUR hourly rate at the same experience with same output?

In difficult times, businesses look forward for opportunities to optimize their cost and increase profitability. That's why for information technology domain, jobs are going to Asian countries, especially to India. So business is here, but a cost optimization is ongoing.
1508  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: You moved to another nation/give up your citizenship, can the IRS still get you? on: August 16, 2022, 04:46:33 PM
It depends on couple of things,

1. Which country you are moving in and if that country is an ally of US or not.
2. If you have taken up dual citizenship or completely given away US citizenship. If dual citizenship is active, you still have to pay taxes based on the certain number of days you have stayed in US
3. If the country is not an US ally, do they any agreement for handing over criminals/frauds made in US. A lot of countries actually do have this in place
4. How much money you actually owe to IRS

It's best to consult with a criminal lawyer specialized in financial  crime.
1509  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CHINA is against the crypto But JAPAN is Supporting crypto echo system . on: August 16, 2022, 05:03:42 AM
China is against everything that is western. They have their own version of computer operating system, own set of softwares made by Chinese corporations, own communication system and what not! That is very clever because during a war, China would not be dependent on any outsider. The way Taiwan conflict is going now, a war seems to be imminent.

On the other hand, Japan is a progressive nation unlike China. Japanese people are known for their discipline and civic sense. We also know that Japan is the first country which accepted crypto with a huge tax.

But when it comes to world stage and impact on economy, crypto doesn't have a lot of power to influence such trillion dollar economies. So I don't think China will understand the importance of crypto and revisit their decisions anytime soonner or later.
1510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The future of privacy coin is not looking good on: August 15, 2022, 06:09:02 PM
I have few privacy coins in my wallet and the future regulation and the hatred from government on privacy coin making me feel like I've made the wrong choice, what do you think? Is this something to worry about? Or not

It's hard for the government authorities to bring down privacy coins. They can create n number of regulations but they will always stay around because a certain group of people will keep on using it. Privacy coins are meant for a niche users and they will keep on using it.

But yes, these coins will always have attacks from the regulatory authorities because they can't track the transactions made using these coins. But as an investment, these coins are not great because the utility is very specific.
1511  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The implications of cryptocurrency on the global economy on: August 15, 2022, 04:58:32 PM
The use of cryptocurrency is has increase over the years as many people now see crypto as an alternative to the fiat. My question is if the government legalize cryptocurrencies are means of payment, what will be the implications on the global economy?

Even if a government legalizes cryptocurrency, they will not promote it. They will only focus on their own fiat. Also they will most probably create a separate tax class for cryptos and then impose heavy taxes on it. Overall, a government will never encourage its citizens to use an alternative currency over their own currency. Exceptions are there but that will remain as an exception only.

So with such things and no government backing, bitcoin will never be able to become a favorite payment method. To be honest, bitcoin is a bad payment method. Better alternatives are available. So it will stay as a trader's asset or investment largely.
1512  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency = The mother or father of all scams and bubbles on: August 15, 2022, 05:46:41 AM
Since the inception of bitcoin, we have seen multiple attacks and detractors from known or little known personalities. I still remember when Jemie Dimon attacked bitcoin, how badly the market reacted. But now we are immune to such attacks and it doesn't matter anymore who says what about cryptocurrency and blockchain.

But such statement can only come from ignorance and lack of knowledge. Let people speak what they want while we will contine to enjoy a path braking innovation like bitcoin for our benefit.
1513  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: A private island in Bahamas is seeking to adopt BTC due to a lack of financial on: August 12, 2022, 06:50:52 PM
For a population of around 50 people, bitcoin using lightening network can definitely become a good and viable alternative than the mainstream financial system. Since no bank will be interested in setting up their operations for such a small population, there's no other way either.

Since this island solely depends on tourism, such kind of initiative may attract bitcoin population to their island. Slowly we are getting there!
1514  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How is that possible Wazirx is still Working even after Raids on Bank Accounts on: August 12, 2022, 02:25:41 PM
Nishchal is a rock solid guy so if you have funds in your Wazirx account, it should be all safe. Unless the Indian government decides to close their offices and arrest the directors (which they can), you should be good with your holdings.

Also they have got backing from Binance. Wazirx is a part of Binance. So CZ is very protective about the brand he had built. Unless Indian government decides to completely close down their business, you money should be safe.
1515  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best time to play Slot on: August 12, 2022, 06:23:52 AM
A complete non-sense! An avid gambler will gamble or play slots whenever he/she feels like unless and until that gambler is superstitious. So there's no set time for playing slots for anyone. It can be the time when a gambler get back from his/her day job and require some relaxation and adrenalin rush at the same time. There's really nothing fixed. Yes, during weekends you may see a little more footfall because people get more time during weekends so a gambler would want to spend time gambling during weekends. But I have never noticed a pattern where I have seen higher footfall during a particular time of the day. Probably a gambling website owner would be able to tell that!
1516  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If the Governments Planned to Keep the Limited 21 Millions BTC in Their Custody on: August 11, 2022, 05:46:54 PM
It's impossible in reality. Also if a particular government buys all 21 million supply from the market, then the price of the bitcoin will turn back to zero because there will be no seller in the market. So the market will be straight away crashed to zero. One basic parameter of bitcoin is its decentralization, once it's gone, the foundation of bitcoin will be destroyed. So no government would try to do such a highly costly adventure which will eventually turn back to zero.

Bitcoin's price is based on demand. So if there's no seller in the market, buyers will eventually move out of the market and will look for an alternative. So probably a new coin will rise to fame if bitcoin is purchased by government and kept under safe custody. Overall, it is an imaginary situation which will never ever happen. At least not in our lifetime!
1517  Economy / Economics / Re: Are CBDCs good for the economy? on: August 11, 2022, 03:41:57 PM
The stable digital currencies, also known as CBDCs have been gaining popularity in the last two years, especially after 2021 bull market.

Please get your understanding right! CBDC is a government released currency while stablecoins are cryptos. Both are structured in different ways.

CBDCs are definitely beneficial for the issuing government in multiple ways. But for citizens, it's an issue for their privacy. They will have convenience obviously, but the financial privacy will be gone forever. Only time will tell how much successful they will become.
1518  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Bitcoin Village in Nigeria - Creating Bitcoin Adoption Without The Government. on: August 11, 2022, 01:42:17 PM
If I am not wrong, I believe in the beginning of this year, Nigerian Central Bank has banned bitcoin from the country. If this is true and if an entrepreneur is building a village on Nigerian soil which will be solely powered by bitcoin, might create issues with administration.

It's like ignoring a national order completely and going on an financial adventure withoit thinking about the potential penalty it may bring.

While such initiatives are welcome, but I am afraid of the future repercussion.
1519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Good price for normal 1660 or not on: August 10, 2022, 05:38:40 PM
I sold my 1660 that gives 25MH for 230$ each, is this a good price for this card or I am throwing away money? I bought at 300$ and I have made half of the money already, I just feel like its the right time to start buying coins direct.

From price point it's fine. However, if you are investing money to mine ETH, I will request you to exercise caution. Because since a long time, ETH algorithm change to POS is ongoing. It has not been scrapped yet. So you can expect it to happen by the end of this year.

In that case, you will either have to move your hardware to mine aome other coin or you will have to join the group of people who are planning to fork away from ETH. So think before you spend.
1520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pi Coin | A decentralized economy or another form of MLM scheme? on: August 10, 2022, 03:55:31 PM
Pi coin is clearly a scam business without any future potential. Please understand one simple thing, you don't require any specialized hardwares for mining this coin, you can do it right from your phone. So it means this coin is available for free of cost, there is no production cost to it. Why do you think it will have a value?? People will just use their smartphones to mine!

Secondly, you need to be KYC compliant before you can withdraw this coin. This way the owners are gathering millions of KYC data from its miners. Who knows, these data will someday available in the black market!

Avoid this at all cost!
