1521  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis never ends on: June 16, 2015, 09:52:23 PM
So here is another field full of resistances - fighting for breakout.

If the breakout of log downtrend is confirmed, could it become one possible scenario that the price reach the upper weekly BB and back to weekly sma20 for a long silence period?

Weekly bands are tiny and flat enough for price to expand them (in either way). They are neither falling or rising - they are flat.

Falling upper band usually very strong resistance (or rising bottom band is support) for price and it bounces back to sma20. It was those days, but today's picture is different.

It doesn't mean band is not resistance at all. It is more ready to expand than earlier.

The undertones here sound bullish.
Indeed, the rumblings are indicating something quite special is in the mix. I don't know about you guys but I sure am set up quite nicely atm. Good times ahead for a change.
1522  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gemini going live next week on: June 16, 2015, 09:43:58 PM
Hello.
What is Gemini? What will it provide of new?
I think nothing. Its just gonna be another exchange but there is hype around it because its founders, WinkleDee and WinkleDumb are somebodys (apparently).
Good grief, the amount of new accounts this numb nut makes is simply astonishing. I've been talking bitcoin to this one older dude (that day trades oil and gold futures w/ some other guy from NYC) that I work w/ for over a year and he's been long awaiting for the Winks to get Gemini up and running. There are legions of traders that are waiting for this kind of regulated exchange to get up so they can trade in bitcoin in relative safety. Plus, there's an aura/buzz around what these Winks are up to.

Rand Paul criticizes federal government’s power during Lexington speech

Kentucky Senator Rand Paul focused on what he said is a too-powerful federal government during a campaign stop in Lexington on Monday.

The Republican spoke to more than 200 people gathered inside a Veterans of Foreign Wars post just south of town. It was Paul’s only stop in South Carolina this week, although his wife Kelley visited the Berkeley County GOP in Moncks Corner later in the day and will be in the Charleston region on Tuesday.

Paul continued hammering on his usual points Monday, criticizing the NSA’s collection of phone records. At one point he even compared it to unpopular tactics that British customs agents used in Colonial-era America. “(The NSA’s) argument is: Well we’re not looking at them, we’re just collecting them,” Paul said during his 27-minute speech. “That would sort of be like the British soldiers saying, ‘We’re coming into your house and taking your papers, we’re just not going to look at them.’ I think the same objection to our privacy is that act of collecting and taking our records.”

Rand Paul's Strategic Ambiguity

Rand Paul is campaigning for president as a different kind of Republican. Since entering the U.S. Senate in 2011, he has staked out unorthodox positions on foreign policy and civil liberties, rejecting what he and many of his fans see as recklessly interventionist militarism. The GOP brand, he wrote in his 2011 book The Tea Party Goes to Washington, has become "tainted by neoconservative ideology."

But in the run-up to the Kentucky senator's April 7 announcement that he was officially running for president, Paul engaged in a series of rhetorical and parliamentary maneuvers that left many anti-interventionists openly worried about a politically inspired foreign policy drift.

...

Once he was in direct competition with other Republicans on the campaign trail, however, candidate Paul again showed signs of anti-interventionist foreign policy gumption. At a New Hampshire GOP meeting later in April, the senator thundered about how "the other Republicans will criticize the president and Hillary Clinton for their foreign policy, but they would just have done the same thing-just 10 times over...There's a group of folks in our party who would have troops in six countries right now, maybe more."

In a late April fundraising letter, Paul tried to rally his own core supporters by complaining that "many in our party—including many announced and rumored Presidential candidates—would double down on the failures of the Obama-Clinton foreign policy of reckless engagement. Will you stand with me as I fight back against the irresponsible policy of wild foreign intervention?"

Many of Paul's once and future supporters would like to stand with Rand. But it still seems to be an open question exactly what kind of foreign policy, and what specific interventions, a President Paul might pursue. And that may well be exactly the way he and his campaign want it.

1525  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Hillary Clinton Trustworthy? on: June 16, 2015, 08:56:38 PM
As an independent, I don't have much use for Hillary, nor do many Democrats I know in our blue state. But she's more qualified than Warren, Sanders or O'Malley, at least in terms of how her stated views match with mine. And she's far better than any of the Republican candidates. I think that's all this poll shows, at this early point in time. Why is she better than the GOP candidates? No religious nonsense, for one. It belongs entirely out of government. She also supports a national health care system, expanded entitlements, modest reductions in defense spending, higher taxes on the wealthy, and in general a strong federal government with weak state governments. Those are my positions as well.
Dude, she orchestrated the over throw of Gaddafi and the arms dealing from Libya to ISIS hands in Syria. I see no reduction of military spending on the horizon w/ this broad. Not to mention, she's as corrupt as they come just like her hubby was during his regime. We need a weaker federal government freeing up more autonomy for the states. Liberty is more when government on a fed level is way less.

He had to walk back his comment about sending troops into Iraq like his bro did via hindsight and took plenty of deserved flack over it. Now, he's talking about some military drawdown and I have no idea what he's talking about other than subtly saying he would intervene abroad and make more cannon fodder out of young men and women, just like his brother. This guy just can't wait to be the one calling the shots overseas w/ a large military at his ready.

Damn, sold too soon yet made some on the peercoin pump or whatever it's supposed to be called. Something strange indeed is happening in cryptoworld. This summer/fall is likely to make many people wealthy if they have the right stuff in their bags.
1528  Economy / Speculation / Re: Best point in time to cash out the Bitcoins? on: June 16, 2015, 07:47:22 PM
Answer to OP now is the best time to sell for you. Seems to me every response you have given so far indicates you don't believe in your investment so why hold any longer?
This whole thread is part and parcel to numb nuts new trolling modus operandi. Trying to get people to sell before the moonshot comes as if there is a dump around the corner or worse. Keep an eye out for the rash of new threads by the same person, it's totally obvious.
1529  Economy / Speculation / Re: We are going to the moon! The reflection in the deep sea! on: June 16, 2015, 07:39:47 PM
No we aren't. Rising price but low volume. It's a typical pump and dump. Crash imminent. Act accordingly.

I guess you didn't realize that OP is actually a bear troll such as yourself.
Either that or the OP is your quoter trying something from a different angle which is most likely the case. Wouldn't be surprised that as things turn around that numb nuts is on a mission to get folks to sell before reaching the upper east side in price. It's the only thing left in their tool belt atm.

Donald Trump will declare $9 billion in assets as he reveals 2016 plans

Donald J. Trump, the billionaire real-estate mogul, on Tuesday will release a summary of assets that total about $9 billion as part of his likely entry into the race for the Republican presidential nomination, according to people familiar with his plans.

The two-page document — which will be published after he holds a political rally at Trump Tower in New York — will provide a valuation of his hotels and other properties. It will also show hundreds of millions in cash on hand and an outline of his debt, the people said.

The details he will reveal Tuesday will provide one of the first looks at the worth of the real estate and television empire that the colorful impresario has amassed — one whose value has been avidly debated.

Trump’s declared assets are more than double the estimate of his net worth by Forbes, which currently pegs his net holdings at $4.1 billion. And it would make him the wealthiest Republican contender.

Trump’s longtime financial advisers and Donald F. McGahn, a partner at Jones Day, have finalized the report about his finances in recent weeks as Trump has moved closer to jumping into the 2016 contest. Three people briefed on those discussions Monday requested anonymity in order to talk about the process.

Trump’s speech announcing his decision is likely to center on his career and fortune. He is expected to cast himself as an entrepreneur and outsider eager to tangle with the party establishment and U.S. economic rivals abroad, such as China.

The financial statement drafted by his office is aimed at demonstrating his success as a businessman, as well as proving to skeptical GOP leaders that he is serious about running.

Jeb Bush To Repackage His Brother's Compassion Conservatism Mantra

Jeb Bush will be announcing his presidential candidacy this afternoon, finally ending all the edge-of-your-seat mystery and speculation about whether he really is running. And from what we’ve learned in advance, Bush may be charting an interesting and somewhat risky path to get his party’s nomination.

Instead of doing what we might have expected from someone in Jeb’s position — bending over backward to convince base Republicans that he’s a true conservative — he seems to be going in the opposite direction. It’s almost as if he’s already running a general election campaign.

We won’t know all the details until he gives the speech, and I’m sure there will be a reasonable amount of massaging of the conservative pleasure centers on things like tax cuts and reducing regulation. But Jeb’s first notes as an official candidate sound a lot like his brother’s “compassionate conservatism.”

1535  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-06-15] Bitcoin Network Growth Metrics And The Next Mega Price Rally on: June 16, 2015, 04:35:28 AM
Network growth has been steadily growing larger and stronger over the last two years. While many people only look at the value of bitcoin, they are failing to see the adoption rate. The bitcoin price may have dipped slightly recently, and the record all-time high price of $1,124 USD of late November 2013 may now seem like a long way off.

The bitcoin network itself is continuing to grow larger than ever. While according to Metcalf’s Law, which states the value of a telecommunications network is proportional to the square of its users. There comes a point in this rate of growth where the tipping point is more easily discernable. This article aims to give alternative insight into the growth within bitcoin. We can safely assume that if the total rate of growth and adoption included the entire cryptocurrency space then the numbers would show an even greater adoption rate.

And we can see the exponential growth of the bitcoin network by looking at the following data. The number of transactions per day on a seven-day average excluding popular address recently peaked to a new all-time high. From around 21,000 per day on a seven-day average about two years ago. Up to recently nearly 114,000 transactions per day on a seven-day average.

---

All the appropriate metrics are looking on the upside plus all the positive news lately. This is all piling up like the boring phase prior to the moon rise back in the end of 2013. I almost firmly want to predict epic shit this fall before thinking back on how bitcoin messes with us and does its own thing when it wants.

Rand Paul's personality predicament\

Sen. Rand Paul articulated a real stunner in what appeared to be prepared remarks in the Senate. He said "Some of them [people in Washington], I think, secretly want there to be an attack on the United States so they can blame it on me.

Not doing himself any favors with statements like this. I can't possibly see how he thought that would be a good thing to say out loud.

That won me over because he is right. Elements within the US Government still need to be held accountable for Oklahoma, 9/11, Benghazi, Selling weapons to drug cartels, sicking IRS on Tea Party advocates, etc etc. He is the only one I see not tainted by evil.
I'm glad you are buying his selling point. Just thought I'd re-up a thread pertaining to what's up here - http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?476503-Rand-Paul-bitcoin-moneybomb-July-4th - moneybomb of Bitcoin for Rand on Independence day/July 4th. You are so right about your elements in the US gov comments, I wish we could start a new thread about each and every one of those points. TY for your contribution to the thread and I've always been impressed w/ your input.

I'd say that you should be a US citizen if you plan on helping out on that moneybomb so-called day.

Photographer:  Over the weekend I had the pleasure of photographing Rand Paul during his trip to California, I attended both the OC Flag Day Dinner and the SD Lincoln Reagan Dinner, as well as some other private events. More than 800 people were at each of Rand's big appearances, and it was great to see such an impressive showing. His appearance at San Diego GOP's Lincoln Reagan dinner was the biggest attendance record they ever had.

Rand Paul: Obamatrade Tax Hikes Mean Republicans Should Oppose Revival Efforts

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) is calling on Republicans in the House—and the grassroots nationwide—to oppose efforts by House Ways and Means Committee chairman Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) to revive Obamatrade via a tax increase hidden inside the Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) portion of the deal.

Paul said when asked to react to an article from Breitbart News from late Sunday evening exposing the tax increase in the deal:

Quote
You know typically to pass these kinds of things, the establishment will try to buy off Democrats by sprinkling money so they have some money in there. To get the money, under our budget rules, we have to pay for it—so they want to pay for it with a fine on small businesses. But I thought a point that was made in the article which was pretty good is this is similar to the fines they wanted to do in Obamacare with 1099s and there was such an outcry it’s the only part of Obamacare we ever repealed. So I think when people discover they’re sticking a tax increase in there I think people will be even more unhappy.
...

Paul said he expects the issue of Obamatrade to be a big deal on the 2016 campaign trail. It’s already separated the field as Paul, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, Donald Trump, Carly Fiorina, former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, former Texas Gov. Rick Perry and more oppose it. Sens. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) –and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush—among others support it.

“Everywhere I go, people come up to me and say ‘thank you for not giving the president more power’ ‘thank you for voting against TPA,’” Paul said. “So I think it does resonate with people, and we’ll see how these things shake out, but it fits my message, because I’ve been saying we gave the president too much power, and he’s tried to grab too much power on immigration, healthcare, war power and now really with trade. Part of the checks and balances is having equal amounts of power with each branch of government can jealously guard their power and I think it’s a mistake to give too much power to the president. That’s why their decision to make the treaty classified makes me suspicious—when people are not allowed to read it.”
