By the way, how do we remerge the coins for staking..? I finally gotten some cube from the exchange to stake.. Can anyone help me out step by step..? I'm new.. So please don't troll.. thank you!

Send them to yourself in one transaction

oo, so what about remerging the coins for staking? how is that done..?

Also, I only have like 700000 cubes.. its still not able to stake yet?

700k is fine until block 1m - Right now you only need about 190k CoinAge for 2000%

After block 1m, it will be 10x (so it WOULD be 1.9m instead of 190k)

I have tried ticket, chatbox, and Skype to find out why ccex wallet is down. No response on any of those. I give up with them

Would be really cool if exchanges would stop fucking around with a coin that has had no actual problems for nearly a year

well guys it looks like 1337 is having the same problem.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1319833.new#new

So can any one confirm if staking large amounts at the same time can cause the coin too fork and if so is this what happened last time?.

just seems strange that its the hi rate pos coins that seem to be in maintenance all the time on some exchanges.

Has absolutely nothing to do with it

For someone who whines about the length of debug.log, you're not very good at interpreting the results

i'm the best, u'll never get it  Grin

to hell the subject, better get the shit out of ccex, it's more than annoying already

Why is it so hard for CCEX to update their CUBE wallet is it because of the checkpoints ?

Nope. Apples and oranges

Looks like they had to empty the bottle for the picture so it didn't snap his arm

Your right Spots as usual sorry for doubting you please bring back the checkpoint server we clearly know that Bittrex was wrong.

speak for yourself
i prefer to see short local forks which is a problem of a few nodes,
than network-wide rollback which makes exchanges angry

Lol, still assuming I'm the one that fucked up. That's cute

doesn't matter who's fault it was, simply not crypto-style to rely on a server.
i saw it in my log, the same as trex and ccex logs: "REORGANIZE: Disconnect 1721 blocks; ...."
total recall  Grin
your server can be compromised, ddos'd, you may turn tired, aggressive, suicidal,.. female.
and there'll be big trouble again

Even if you put the checkpoint server back up to I need to import private key into a new wallet.dat and how to do that ?

You don't have to, but some coins may never confirm if you have something funny displaying

Old wallet.dat
Code:
dumpprivkey <address>

Save output

New wallet.dat
Code:
importprivkey <output from above>

Try importing private key into a fresh wallet.dat

You can also try clearing orphans by right clicking a line in the spreadsheet of the transaction tabs

I did warn you guys these could pop up without checkpoints. It's not a rollback, though, as implied earlier. Single nodes that have no checkpoint reference could momentarily fork. I did tell all of you this months ago when I was being accused of being responsible for the Bittrex listing

I can always bring back the checkpoint server, but if I host it again I don't want to hear any bitching that I'm doing it wrong, because I'm not

Dude, call me and let me whip you into shape. It'll only take like 3 months and it's not that hard. Any limitations can easily be worked around

I'm not kidding

I have no idea what is going on with them. It has been a long time, though, yes

ok cheers all.
That answers that for me back to making more cube good luck all.

You would have to ask each site if they're staking

I would assume all exchanges are using something like this in DigiCube.conf

reservebalance=999999999

Hi spots

i was just curios to what would happen if they did, and lost cube who would end up paying for it.

not quite sure if there wallet was the same as the one we used or if they had a modified version.

thanks for the reply and its nice to see your still working hard on cube cheers.

Whoever fucks up would be the one to pay for it, just like Bittrex covered their error. I would have paid for their loss out of my own pocket if it was my fault, which it was not

I would never fork for a loss, if that's what you're asking, when an exchange messes something up. They shouldn't be staking user funds at all anyway, especially if they are charging for trade/withdraw fees, as well, on a coin with no network fees

Yes, they would. I don't know if they are staking or not, though. I have no idea why their wallet would be down for over a week now, either
