I have a couple of 3x5970 full rigs that I might part with for the right price.  Pretty similar to mouse's setup. Would sell complete with BAMT usb sticks.

I think I am getting out of the gpu game.  Smiley

What is the right price for you?
1522  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] many HD 6990 cards (starting at $450 == 1.60 Mh/s/$) on: April 18, 2012, 03:07:29 PM
I want to sell a a bunch of HD 6990 cards. I will give preference to those buying in bulk. Price for each (USD or equivalent in Bitcoins):

$510 for qty 1
$490 for qty 2-3
$470 for qty 4-6
$450 for qty 7+

They have all been purchased after April 2011, and all have 1 or more years of remaining warranty time. I kept the sales receipts, and original packing & accessories:

Sapphire: 2-year warranty
PowerColor: 2-year warranty
MSI: 3-year warranty
Visiontek: lifetime warranty

I have used them for mining in a very clean datacenter-like environment (filtered air, cool temperature). I have a decent reputation (check signature). I can either ship from Los Angeles, or you can pick them up locally.

You having much luck selling these?  I am interested in purchasing a few....

I'm not saying I'm selling... but everything has a price.  What could you do for a 3x 5970 rig (2 of them in slots, the 3rd on a PCIe 1x extender, AX1200)?  It does a solid 2.2-2.3 GH/s @ 895-910W at stock clocks, and can dial back to around 1.69 GH/s @ 554W, or over 3 MH/j.  It could probably be even more efficient if I wasn't running a Phenom II x4 960T in it.

Mouse, you still there?!
1524  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] High density mining rig on: April 18, 2012, 03:05:09 PM
I can sell you a very nice rig, it will connect to 'cloud' system all over the globe and mine for you.
There is no need for expensive hardware, you just need internet connection and i will provide everything you need to control 'cloud' miners.

This rig is very profitable, it does not use much electricity compared to GPU rig. Only few thousand dollars for this one. PM me.

I appreciate the offer.....but I have a very specific niche for this rig, and I need the physical parts.

Thanks for posting!

Hey Yoch, Just curious... do you have power numbers for this thing coming from the wall?

I don't.....but I can certainly slap the kill-a-watt on it tonight and grab them.

Oh noes! That will remove the "brand new, never opened, still sealed (get the idea?!)" status these have!

Read up a few posts you dolt.  I bought 6 of them, am only selling 2.

There used to be another post on here asking about details on the card before Miner99r's post. The person seemed to think you were selling two normal 6870s.

What MrTeal said...

Hate it when that happens.

DOH!  thanks for explaining....i was quite puzzled.....
1529  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Radeon 6870X2 on: April 18, 2012, 03:56:24 AM
Terrible driver support for these. Not a bad price for a brand new 550-600mhash card. I am considering really. I am selling all my gpu's and was going to get a 7950 or 7970. Same hash rate about but less power used and less heat and less noise with better gaming. This would be a much cheaper alternative

I bought 6 of them originally.....they have been great thusfar.  The dual fan is nice and quiet.

Let me know if you want to make a deal.  I have about 10 7970's.....those babies are amazing, you will love them!  I chose to add some of these 6870x2's precisely for the reason you are interested: great price per MH.

Anyone else having problems getting logged in?

your point?
1532  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Does anyone still offer Mining Contracts? on: April 17, 2012, 03:27:02 PM

1,500 MHash/s for 8.35 BTC - This works out to 0.795 BTC per day per 1 GHash/s

3,000 MHash/s for 16 BTC - This works out to 0.762 BTC per day per 1 GHash/s

But with 1ghas u can generate  ~0.65 btc/day, why someone is going to pay 0.762 ?? I dont get it.

Ease of use, avoid electricity cost, etc.

The math is not as simple as:  $ cost of GPU/MH/s = cost per hash!

Ok with that.

But if i want 10 BTC, i will need 1 GHas/day for 15,4 days, so i had to pay u 15 x 0.762 = 11,72 BTC (about 58,26 USD). But i can buy it directly in MTgox for about 50 (and about %5 less if i buy with cash to a local BTC seller...) and without waiting more than 15 days...

Still dont get it...

The only thing I can think of is not wanting to wire funds into an exchange??

I do agree the whole issue is fuzzy.

1534  Economy / Services / Re: Safe Cold Storage? on: April 17, 2012, 01:38:23 PM
Is there is safe and well known service that offers a very safe and storage for btc? Like a vault?

Thanks.

- Buy a used laptop.
- Reformat the drive and install ubuntu.
- Install the bitcoin client and download the block chain.
- Create an address in the client and write it down.
- Send BTC to the address to test everything.
- Close the bitcoin client and shut down the computer.
- Take the computer to the bank and put it in a safety deposit box.

This is what I would consider very safe storage for btc in a vault.

This.

Maybe backup the hard-drive before you seal it in the vault as well.....

bump.  lowering to 70 BTC
1536  Economy / Services / Re: GPUMAX | The Bitcoin Mining Marketplace on: April 17, 2012, 04:34:08 AM
I think it would be nice if bitcoin payouts showed up in the "transactions" area. That could be an easy way to see the history of payments...

Yea, they will.  Don't you worry my friend. Smiley

Any movement on this?

I am looking to purchase a a couple high density (think 2 GH/s) mining rigs that are rock-solid stable.

I am not tied to any given configuration, and am not picky on specifics.  I just want it to work, and work a long time.  It must be nearly maintenence free as I will not be able to baby-sit.

SO, if someone is looking to get out of the mining game now that the warmer temps are here, lets talk!

1539  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] Radeon 6870X2 on: April 16, 2012, 04:20:26 PM
I have 2 brand new, never opened, still sealed (get the idea?!) Radeon 6870X2's.

These things are a great alternative to used 5970's in terms of hashing density.  Each core will get over 300 MH/s with the right tweaks, and the dual fan set-up is quieter and keeps the GPU's cooler than a 5970.

Looking for 70 BTC each, includes shipping.

I would post a picture, but I would just be posting pictures of the boxes.....
