781  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] - 57,000,000 coinlab loyalty points! on: December 03, 2012, 09:22:30 PM
I'll offer $1k.

no. thanks!
782  Economy / Goods / NM on: December 03, 2012, 08:46:17 PM
[/s]Hey all,

I have accumulated a SUBSTANTIAL amount of coinlab loyalty points, but I have no desire to cash them in yet.  I would however like to monetize them, and let someone else with higher costs extend the life of their farm.

I am not sure what an appropriate price is, but I am thinking maybe a 15% discount to their value of $0.00012427 PPS.

57,000,000*$0.00012427 PPS = $7,083.39

Let me know if anyone has interest in this.
783  Economy / Lending / Re: [FULFILLED!] 10,000 BTC loan - LONG TERM on: November 29, 2012, 10:25:34 PM
Figured I would update this thread again to keep everyone appraised.

Payments have been made for April, June, July, and August of 2013.  The next contractual payment is not due until September of 2013.

I still intend to aggressively pre-pay the loan to mitigate my exchange rate risk, which has thus far been BRUTAL.

It could get  more brutal.  Borrowing in a currency you don't have equivalent assets in, or similar revenue in, is in general a bad idea.  At the very least  a huge gamble.

And unlike the homeowners  thinking they were getting a great deal borrowing in CHF or JPY, you don't have manipulative central banks trying to rescue you.

I thought through all the pitfalls when I took the loan out, well aware of the risks.

Fortunately I earn in BTC through my 100 GH/s farm and also wrote a collar on the exchange rate into the loan contract.  My pain will be limited if the price increases 250% again......but I definitely don't want it to!
784  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] - BFL single with issues on: November 29, 2012, 08:48:04 PM
I have a BFL single that mines sporadically, but mostly craps out.

I would like to sell it for about 50 BTC, the approximate trade-in value.

I am sure someone with more technical know-how can easily fix any issues it may have.  I have read many cases where the heat-sink merely needs to be re-seated.

Thanks for looking!
785  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 25BTC reward but.. no drop in hash rate! on: November 29, 2012, 08:20:35 PM
Forum users are a small small minority of the hashing network it often seems, surprising as that may be.

I expect a delay of a week to a month for results to become truly apparent, as people either notice their bitcoin wallets slimming/their pool rewards not being what they once were or they get their next power bill and realize "hey this shit isn't paying itself off so well anymore".

I also expect that the "big boys" (> 100GHash/sec) had to be supremely efficient in the first place to even get that large, and are still making significant enough bucks after the halving that it is worth it to keep going (people with 4GHash/sec might think making just $1-$2 / day is annoying, but multiply that by 25+ and you're still a happy camper).

I was hoping to see some decrease instead of a huge increase in hashing power though, for a graceful decline in hashing power, rather than a big drop that might incite panic.

I can verify this from first hand knowledge.
786  Economy / Computer hardware / Defective BFL single on: November 29, 2012, 05:36:23 AM
Is there a market for defective BFL singles?

I would assume there is if they are acceptable for trade-in?

788  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: BFL - kind of fishy on: November 28, 2012, 07:05:05 PM
I think accusations like these need to be backed up by the actual e-mails, including the original order confirm, and other evidence.

Otherwise the credibility of hearsay is very weak.

Don't get me wrong, I am not saying you are making this up, it would simply have MUCH more credibility with evidence.  Anyone can make up allegations like this in 60 seconds to raise FUD.

Just my .02 bitcents.
789  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [ANN] CoinLab Protected Pool on: November 28, 2012, 06:49:52 PM
Now that the block reward has halved, is there any reason NOT to redeem loyalty points? It seems like the prudent thing to do.

Nope, it should now be in your financial interest to start redeeming points.

I am still significantly profitable without using the redeem pool.

Not all miners are equal......
790  Economy / Securities / Re: Now seeking investors for BitCorp Mining Company [Now pushing 40 GH/s!] on: November 27, 2012, 02:31:24 PM
Hey Yochdog:

Can we get a statement of October operating results and balance statement?  And any progress at all on being able to distribute dividends once again? There needs to be a secondary plan beyond "waiting to hear from Nefario", don't you agree?

I will be posting October results by week end.

In terms of a secondary plan, I am not sure there is any viable path.  If Nefario will not provide records of ownership, there is absolutely no way to verify claims.

If you have any suggestions or insight, please share.

Did these get posted, sorry if I missed it somewhere, anyway also November results due this weekend, it would be good to know what was owed per share for each month that hasn't been paid out as yet & hopefully it can all soon get resolved if you now have the lists or are about to get them.

You are on the wrong thread.  The results are posted in the other thread regarding BTCMC

Anyone else having problems with Stats?

My hash rate has not changed in an hour, despite adding new workers and connecting them

Also, the new workers show how many shares have been submitted, but no hash rate.

Thoughts?

gigavps received asset list  Shocked

To all Gigaminers:

Late yesterday I received an asset holder list from GLBSE. Per the email received, the list may grow some more so it may not be the final list.

This is good news as it means step one is near completion. I will be working with counsel later today and possibly into next week to finalize the next steps and to clarify what has to be done and why.

Best regards,
gigavps

yochdog, any news as yet re yours? Apparently he's releasing about 4 asset holders lists per day atm.

Still waiting.....i e-mailed again today to see if we are in line.

Users who submit at least 1,125,000 shares in one week will be paid at the increased rate of 97% PPS.  1,125,000 shares is equivalent to 100% uptime with 10GH/s for one week.  Double the hash rate will earn this many shares in half the time.  (Ex. If you have 15 GH/s, you will reach 1,125,000 shares 66% of the way through the week.) The new week begins each Monday.  Early on-request payouts will be credited at 95% PPS unless you have already earned 1,125,000 shares that week.

the proposal is canceled ?

I am wondering about this too.....I show 95% as well, and I FAR exceed the 1,125,000 shares per week.
798  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [ANN] CoinLab Protected Pool - Now with PPS Bonuses up to 200% on: November 15, 2012, 07:22:54 PM
ATM, 1GHash/s revenues 3.3 USD per day. If it ever goes lower than 2.5 USD, we start using loyalty points. So if BTC prices remain the same, when the reward halves to 25 BTC that will happen.
That's what i understood.

Yes, this is correct.....but what we are all looking for is details on how redemption will work.

It is kind of sketchy on details at the moment.
799  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: I am concerned on: November 14, 2012, 06:51:50 PM

I am just attempting to figure out if the foregone earnings now is worth the potential bonus later.

If you use cgminer, there will not be any 'foregone earnings', the shares will be at the other pools. or solo.

hmmmm, I do not see any shares bleeding over to the back-up pool.

Dammit this sucks.

Yoch.  Since your using cgminer.  you can easily test this.  create a new user for coinlab and restart cgminer with new user.  cgminer will track the number of accepted shares which can then be compared to the coinlab stats.
