704  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] - BFL single with issues on: February 07, 2013, 05:32:15 PM
Take off the heatsink.  (very easy, just those little white clips)

Clean off the thermal paste and apply some Arctic Silver.

Start with the slowest firmware and work your way up.  When it starts throttling back off to the nest lowest firmware.

I will give this a shot!

thanks!
705  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] Bitcorp Mining Company - BTCMC 60+ GH/s, clear ASIC upgrade path. on: February 04, 2013, 05:49:47 PM
All dividends owed have been paid this morning to verified shareholders.

An updated balance sheet will be presented soon.....we have to make some adjustments for depreciation on the GPU miners.
706  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 9 top of the line rigs, whole or parted out (now with pricing) on: February 02, 2013, 05:17:18 PM
Hey yochdog, did you ever get a tracking number for those rosewills lightnings?

I did not......if they are not there today let me know and I will track one down.

Another package shipped with yours showed up yesterday at the buyers.....so I hope it gets there today.

ok thanks. Bought a lot of stuff recently, so looking forward to getting stuff up and running.
Edit: nothing in the mail today
edit2: Still nothing for Jan 31
edit3: Still nothing on Feb 1, 2013. I'm starting to get worried/suspicious, since he didn't give me tracking number. :/

Hey buddy.....sent you the tracking info in a PM.  The assholes at the USPS gave me a delivery dat of Jan. 29th, and yet it is still in transit.

Complete BS.

Hello all,

Quick update:  I am out of the office, and will not be back until Monday (I thought I would return tomorrow).  Thus, I will not be in a position to send out dividends until Monday.  I have finalized the list of holders, and have all payment addresses ready to roll.

Payments will go out no later than 5:00 EST on Monday, Feb. 4th

I am also working on a balance sheet to present by the end of next week for review.

-cheers
708  Economy / Economics / Re: Will bitcoin become too expensive to spend? on: January 31, 2013, 03:18:47 PM
I know that idea doesn't make sense, but ifthe speculative value of Bitcoin outweighs the value of using it to purchase something are we not in danger in stunting the actual brick-and-mortar aspects of the BTC economy?

Of course we are only at $20, but if you imagine Bitcoin one day becoming a world currency, worth trillions, then you know that 21 million bitcoins still has a long way to go....

I have thought about that statement A LOT, and I think you are spot on.

It is a huge problem.
709  Economy / Long-term offers / Looking for constant dollar loan with payments in BTC on: January 30, 2013, 04:12:07 PM
Putting out feelers on the following:

-$25,000 loan with a 3 year amortization (36 monthly payments)
-interest at 10%
-loan funded in BTC at prevailing spot rate at the time of agreement
-loan payments made in BTC at the prevailing spot rate at time of payment
-no prepayment penalty

An example:

Loan funded today at current spot-rate of $19.50, thus lender sends 1,282.051 BTC ($25,000/19.50) to my address.  Re-payments begin 30 days from funding, and are due every 30 days thereafter, with payments of $806.68.

First 6 payments would be as follows, assuming the given hypothetical exchange rates:

Feb 28th,  $21.50:     806.68/21.50 = 37.52 BTC
Mar 30th,  $18.96:     806.68/19.96 = 40.41 BTC
April 30th, $16.56:     806.68/16.56 = 48.71 BTC
May 30th,  $22.45:     806.68/22.45 = 35.93 BTC
June 30th, $23.01:     806.68/23.01 = 35.05 BTC
July 30th,  $14.45:     806.68/14.45 = 55.82 BTC

Constructive feedback is appreciated, and serious counter-offers are welcome.

yochdog,

I've tried PM-ing and emailing you guys.  What is the process for getting my shares off of GLBSE and transferred over to you, I haven't received any communication regarding this, and it sounds like a list of shareholders from GLBSE is currently in the process of moving forward.

thanks.

Hey, sorry Bitsense.  I have received your info and all is well.

Just been swamped elsewhere and overlooked your PM.

I placed a 5 BTC bet on a whim......and 7 hours later I have received no response.

here is the transaction ID:  b9c3ee0b33459940b072479cd040ea4d9ee5fc2e5ddaade166ed2f9e6007a945

Anyone have this happen to them?  Is there a solution?
714  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 9 top of the line rigs, whole or parted out (now with pricing) on: January 22, 2013, 11:55:07 PM
I've now paid for the 2 rosewill lightning power supplies. Bitcoin deflation smiled upon him since I bought the bitcoins for them about a week ago; I paid $241.40 for 17 bitcoins; They're now worth $295.80. Transaction ID is c741c2e0da0dabfea1a4f1bba3f975f781aa3b8030f0262e4ecab3f3d7a7aa76

The exchange rate is insane.

I verify this.....Will be shipping out the PSU's tomorrow.

My pleasure buddy.

Glad it got there fast and in good shape!
717  Economy / Services / Re: Debt collector on: January 16, 2013, 09:33:08 PM
I too will offer a large percentage for Mr Shavers.

I purchased bad in a very large amount and would be very generous with any recovery.
718  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 9 top of the line rigs, whole or parted out (now with pricing) on: January 14, 2013, 10:34:08 PM
Payment sent for a 79790, just waiting on Yochdog to verify it.

Verified......will ship out tomorrow!
719  Economy / Speculation / Re: Impact of ASIC on price on: January 14, 2013, 05:47:49 AM
This is not a good assumption.

Look what happened when GPU mining ramped up after the price bubble in 2011.....everyone and their dog was selling every BTC not nailed down to recover investment.

The same thing will happen with ASIC, at least at first.
720  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 9 top of the line rigs, whole or parted out (now with pricing) on: January 13, 2013, 07:52:44 PM
Why are you not shipping internationaly?

Just dont want the hassle.  I will look into prices, but I doubt it will be worth it.
