Phil, it must be the miner app your using.

http://zpool.ca/?address=1PQcjXGVQ8ytrt1hBdWZ8yfzk9Cfobwj3i

started mining just fine.   Ill leave it there for a little while.  If I fall asleep, bigger bonus for you I guess.... lol

*edit*

REM out the neoscrypt line, and remove it from the password string... may be your issue.

Ive had issues running neoscrypt with profit switching.  at one point it just either crashes the video driver, or reduces P-state to 5 or 8.. (real bad)
1522  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Need some advice on building a home Mining setup on: May 30, 2017, 04:29:26 AM
Ill say this;  the 1070, and 1080 make a killing mining skein...

http://zpool.ca/?address=1kLsGT9egk3utSKZH46ydTbKj5oMnmBoN 6x1080, 1x1070 and 6x1080 (i think 6x is the last count);  idk if he returned one or not.

zpool is notorious for paying 30% less, you will make less than whattomine known coin, it's better to mine lbry or zcash with your card, also skein2 is bugged with the diff retarget that don't work in case you want to know

ok, you say this, based on what evidence?

The estimates given that are based off the market which has serious swings in coins (let's say an average of 10-30%?)  seem like just a coincidence?

Also;  zpool only uses only a few exchanges, so it doesn't have the error of other exchanges that could or couldn't get that sale, plus the human factor involved as well....

Just because your early-on "ESTIMATED EARNINGS" wasn't what you got paid in the end;  doesn't mean the pool is ripping you off man.  The pool will see its generated coins for whatever price it can get to pay its miners; which means fufilling buy orders at lower than market rate sometimes.

You have to think deeper into what you don't fully understand.....

I personally have yet to be shorted by zpool.  Any time a payout never made it or was delayed;  it was handled.... as long as it was a controllable aspect.  Obviously if you chose an altcoin for a payout and didn't tell the pool that in the password field... and the pool sends a payment to the BTC network instead because of this;  it's not the pools fault, nor can the TX be reversed.  That's just logic.

When I see dips in my earnings (such as a few days ago) you could clearly see that DGB and AUR lost nearly half their value in the matter of hours.   is the pool supposed to magically credit you for the losses in the exchange ESTIMATES?   That's silly to think that way.....

There's logical explanations if you do the legwork to find out why;  instead of just randomly speculating and pointing a finger at the closest person/thing.

it looks like they came back for me;  but then again, I just got back from SF and un-#@$!%$#'ed my internet from the settings I apply when I will be away for several days to negate any downtimes.... so it could have been me rebooting everything.

I have been thinking of adding an auto-reboot script to all my miners to happen every X hours.... not sure if it will help anything in the long run, but I do have one machine that likes to randomly freeze every once in awhile.... so I still might continue this idea.
1524  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Fourth alt coin thread last three got oversized. on: May 30, 2017, 04:12:07 AM
I was reading this thread (pretty sure it was this one) very late last night and thought I saw someone talking about getting the 1080 TI's to 1000MHs on Skein with a custom miner they had to compile, but today I cannot find that message. Does anyone know what I was reading about?

yeah  I do

you can approach 1000 for skein     975 to 1025  depends on your cards

JaredKaragen  can't remember  gave info on it.

some info on 1070 hash rate

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1925830.msg19148722#msg19148722

Yeah, I have given numbers for the other cards for the most part, but havent had a 1080ti myself to play with..... just yet....

The A/V production company I work for is going to invest heavily in TI's for machines to process videos for their productions, and the 99% of the rest of the time they are going to be mining... so I sit here patiently....

Greetings,
one of my miners mining skein keeps disappearing from the dashboard although it keeps happily mining without errors. Its also showing in #earnings dashboard, however.
I like to keep an eye on them, so is there a way to fix this disappearance problem?

Ive narrowed it down to (i think) when the pool shuts off services to issue payments....

crackfoo, maybe this will help narrow it down.
1526  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: System Hangs - Black Screen No Signal on: May 29, 2017, 02:09:30 AM
also, look at the capacitors on the mainboard for any signs of failure.
1527  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [DIY] auto-hard-reset mining rigs with Raspberry Pi on: May 28, 2017, 05:19:26 AM
arduino support please Smiley

I'll have to buy an Ethernet shield and try and port the code at some point....  idk if the OP will....  the network libraries will be the hard part to transpose possibly.
1528  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [DIY]Cheap way to control 2 PSU in a rig on: May 28, 2017, 02:58:07 AM
As far as I know is not recommended to use a relay directly connected to PSU, can damage motherboard or other components (voltage spike because of inductive load). At least use a flyback diode.

schottkey diode* Wink
1529  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [DIY]Cheap way to control 2 PSU in a rig on: May 27, 2017, 08:18:56 AM

+1 on the bold part, but shutting it down will be a problem though. To be honest with you I was not sure about the "crosstalk" so was the reason I went with this setup. Thanks for educating me. I really appreciate that.

only if you want that PSU to be controlled/shut off independent of the first... Otherwise sharing PS_ON they work in unison Wink

the PS_ON line gets pulled to ground by the motherboard when you tap the power button (in most cases) and will have a ~1.2k pullup resistor or something thereabouts.  Just enough to float the pin high always... same on the psu if im not mistaken.  this is where they can technically "share juice"... in a manner of speaking, but the high resistance pullup negates any bad things from happening... and on the MB this condition is also present  and you will probably be able to see the pullup voltage. (measurable via multimeter most likely)   The PSU, possibly not because I would see it being a voltage reference crossover, and being on the negative side, you have no reference + tap to test without opening the PSU Wink

Glad to have helped though =)  I just don't want to see you with more possible points of failure (relays can really suck ass sometimes).

DGB on yobit: -16%
AUR on yobit: +2.6%

Its down a tad;  plus another 20Gh just jumped on since last I checked yesterday....

There are some slumps;  but the good days are totally more than the bad...  You just see it faster because of the faster block times on this algo.

FYI: ZEC is -11.9%; so it seems all the whales are dumping alts to invest in BTC for the slump.... (guess)

Well... 9.6Gh of that yesterday was me and the new 1080ti's- and later tonight I'll be setting up another 4Gh at my girlfriends house ... hers are going to be only 1070's so maybe I'll point them to something else but I'm not sure yet.

Nemos miner I tried to just run the start bat but I get trouble connecting when it tries to switch algos, it sometimes searches for 5-10 minutes to finally catch a new algo which is kinda nuts.

Nemos batch or my batch?  My auto-batch swapps algos almost instantly;  as long as the PC can handle one instance of ccminer launching for each algo;  all at once....
1531  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [DIY]Cheap way to control 2 PSU in a rig on: May 26, 2017, 11:15:00 PM
Thats true, but at my place Internet goes down at random times and I have a Orange Pi shutting down the system when that happens so, control of the second PSU is needed in my case unfortunately.

Cant you just program the GPIO pins on the RPi to control the PSUs as well then?
Yeah, buts it's always smart to use a transistor as a gate when it comes to controlling TTL logic.  Be sure to include pullup/pulldown resistors, and add a cap if you need soft-off situations.

Did you get rid of the check box that expanded details on total coins earned?
^^^^   Check box does appear to be missing.....
1534  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [DIY]Cheap way to control 2 PSU in a rig on: May 26, 2017, 02:39:38 PM
I always like to keep the circuits isolated as much as possible(paranoid maybe) thats is one of the reason I went for this setup.
BLife

It's just a pull to ground;  no chance of any "crosstalk".

In fact, there are dual psu adaptors that specifically do what I mentioned and have been widely used for many years.

But the relay also works as well, I just see as jumper pin being the cheapest and simplest overall =)
1535  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NemosMiner-v1.7.3 multi algo profit switching NVIDIA miner for MPH & ZPOOL on: May 26, 2017, 03:30:42 AM
Hey thank you for this! Is there any miner monitoring software that is compatible with this?
I personally am presently unaware of any monitoring app that has the API support for all the different miner versions used in this package....

That's the thing;  each miner app has its own API format and its rather annoying.
1536  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Fourth alt coin thread last three got oversized. on: May 26, 2017, 03:26:07 AM
Isn't it all about establishing a cost basis?  Buying then selling BTC is a pretty cut and dry calculation. How do you derive a cost when mining? Does electricity and hardware costs come into play?  Can I deduct noise pollution?  My wife would want to Smiley

see if I buy hardware; lets say GPU's.  I know what they are worth, and they are in my hand.  Their value fluctuates on a very small variable...   "What model is next"

That being said;  buying a GPU and putting it to work, is very predictable and reliable;  comparatively.   IF the market tanks and BTC value drops to the point mining is not profitable;  Sell the hardware.

If you had to do that to the BTC u bought instead;  you are an automatic looser without looking into any more details at all.
1537  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Fourth alt coin thread last three got oversized. on: May 26, 2017, 03:16:21 AM
See that bold even if it tanks to 1500.

My sell point was 1200. for the first coin I sold to coin base. This month.😀

I will have to file a capital gains return next year. Since coin base will report my gains.

Yeah;  It's interesting how this will all play out on the government/tax side of things.

...how the government starts trying to tax a person to person BTC exchange, or some other type of trade service; will be an interesting thing to watch in the years to come.

Since they can't exactly levy or prove anything beyond what is exchanged for fiat at a "bank"....

I'm curious on where this will all lead the FED and the IRS to behave....

The IRS is already a criminal entity by action... (stealing your possessions and incarcerating you for not ***voluntarily*** paying them is a prime example)...  [yes, federal income tax compliance as defined in the tax code is: voluntary"
There is no federal law code or statute that requires you to pay an income tax.... there's a group that wrote their own code that forces you to do it....

"The tax code" is by no means "binding law" in the slightest....

I wonder when people will wake up to that notion...

anyways, i'm done ranting on that tangent.
Food for thought.
1538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Grafana Monitoring Dashboard (EWBF API) on: May 26, 2017, 02:37:48 AM
What we really need is an API standard.

I wonder if we can lock down all the miner app coders to make a unified library/standard for the API interface.

Would save a LOT of heartache for everyone in the future.
1539  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Fourth alt coin thread last three got oversized. on: May 26, 2017, 02:36:30 AM

Even if BTC tanks to > 1500;  I always pay outright for my hardware, and consider it "paid off" when bought, and Ill still be making plenty of profit, so the future looks bright indeed.

What happens when ETH goes POS;  I personally think It won't be as bad as i have imagined.

That is the same way I view hardware, too.  I buy hardware with "the house's money" at this point.  The resale value of any cards/rigs is just gravy.

When ETH goes POS, we go ETC  Wink

I hope that's what most do...

It will keep my multi-pool profits at a premium Wink
1540  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [DIY] auto-hard-reset mining rigs with Raspberry Pi on: May 26, 2017, 02:19:43 AM
Thanks for sharing!

Ill probably borrow a few code snippets to save me the stress when I start my Pi project.... if that's fine by you.  99% of what I do stays open source FYI.

I originally planned on making a generator monitoring system for my remote mining operations.  When power goes out, it will turn on a generator, swap over the power to the miners and boot everything back up;  then once power is found on the mains again, it will kill the generator and switch over...

The secondary function was going to be a "rig resetter" of sorts...

but Mine can't be dependent on an internet connection for auto-rebooting rigs, because there are unique conditions that add hiccups in my ability to remotely send reboot commands.

My secondary project was a open-source rig monitor/reset-er.  The functionality should be very easy, and all I would need to do is make the webpage on the PI to interface with the system scripts I have in mind.

Good work!
