I'm thinking, what if Ginebra will get eliminated early, I think the favorite to win the championship will be the SMB. Personally, I think Magnolia has a better shot than any other team, Fajardo is playing like his prime years but Magnolia can limit him while they continue their good defense.
For the games tomorrow, I got TNT and SMB winning.
Also thinking the same, Magnolia for me has the high percentage of beating San Miguel if ever they meet in the Finals because the Death Five of SMB doesn't exist anymore though Fajardo has his usual numbers back but he really needs the backup to complement his low-post play that i hope Jericho Cruz and CJ Perez would give. With the addition of Corpuz and Abueva, Magnolia is a scary team, Abueva just needs to be focused and disciplined all the time. Blackwater almost won the game against SMB on their last matchup but i don't think it will be a close game tomorrow, so my pick is SMB -8.5.They are already exposed, a young team that does not have enough experience in the playoffs will vow down to the king. Fajardo will have his best playoffs games coming, so this is a good start and I'm backing them to win and cover than high spread. And that's it, Blackwater vowed down to the tough SMB Beermen with a very convincing win last night. Blackwater is not just a young but also a team that don't want to win a championship ring in the PBA, I mean if they are serious in their campaign, they should have not traded their number 1 over-all picks to MVP teams so this is really expected. |

Well, this is rematch right? The previous fought were really one-sided and I doubt Ancajas will make a different result. What I think is Ancajas is angry due to his first lost and he let his emotional to fight against Martinez again.
Perhaps it was like what Kambosos felt when he lost to Haney that's why he immediately activated that rematch clause? But this is different though, Ancajas was the clear favorite and he was upset, and that's why maybe his emotions getting the better of himself or he knows that he was really not at his best that time and knows what to do and what to adjust in rematch. So he is at risk at really falling in the rankings if he lose this one again and might take sometime to revive his career again. Ancajas is a victim of a "replacement spell" lol. Kidding aside, I think his mindset going into the fight with Martinez was not too firm, I mean he was training for a fight against Ioka but suddenly he was replaced due to covid restrictions in Japan so that might contribute to his loss to Martinez. Though the announcement was a month before the fight but i think that was not enough to study Martinez. I have a feeling though that Ancajas would reclaim the belt he once held as Filipinos are all going to watch this fight, that will serve as his motivation to bring glory/belt to the nation who loved boxing and basketball. |

Is anyone here thinking of betting on Ginebra now?
They are down double digit and the odds are very attractive, what do you think?
I believe Ginebra is a strong team, they can come back even with a huge deficit and they are good in the 2nd half.
Have bet for Ginebra before the game started and as I have said in my post on our local board that this is a very risky bet as Meralco is a strong team and this is a conference where they don't have a Justine Brownlee that could score for them if they badly needed one, no go-to-guy. A lot of time remaining and hope they will recover and win the first game of the series. |

It was reported that Stevenson's next opponent will be Robson Conceicao and the fight will be held at Shakur's home town of Newark, N.J.
This would be a battle of former Olympic medalists, silver for Shakur while gold for Robson if I'm not mistaken. Just wonder why this fight is going to be held in New Jersey and not in Las Vegas where gamblers could see live the unified champion, Shakur Stevenson. Maybe Bob Arum has something to do with this as I read an article after Shakur won against Valdez that Arum is not too fond of Shakur being a defensive fighter and can't draw a massive crowd which I believe might be the reason why this fight is to be held in Shakur's hometown. |

Then again, as pointed out by YOSHIE above me, this particular match may not push through depending on Haney's decision. He's up for the big guns, and Kambosos may not fit the description for what Haney has been looking for these past few months.
I think this fight will push because of the rematch clause, it's not Haney's decision, it is Kambosos decision that triggered this rematch. As per report, there were no negotiations this time around as it is stipulated in the contract of the first fight. The only thing that they have to do right now is to finalize the date and venue of the fight. |

I don't know what Team Kambosos have in mind by IMO the result of this rematch will be the same as the first fight, it will still be a boxing clinic for Daven Haney, no offense to Kambosos fans here but his style is not made for the fighting style of Haney.
However, if Kambosos is fitted against a brawler like Lopez or Linares he will look good and his chance of winning is high so i wonder why he did not heed to Top Rank's call to fight another boxer and not this rematch.

I was thrilled watching the game as I was thinking that Ginebra will pull away and will cover the spread, turns out Phoenix were able to hit the handicap. 7 points win only by Ginebra, that means we got a winner here.  Thanks, i jumped on my seat there when Tyler Tio made the shot from the rainbow and they did not foul the Kings while they let the clock run out, what a thrilling game for me hehe. BTW, there might be changes in the positioning in the quarters depending of the result of today's game. Ginebra will stay at fourth place if ever Magnolia wins and if they loses then Ginebra will go up in the third place but considering that SMB has the top 1 spot, Magnolia for sure will try its best to win to avoid facing its sister team in the semis, so I think I will be good to bet on the Magnolia Hotshot for tonight's game. |

This trilogy was all GGG cared about because he's been itching to seek revenge and to settle the score, nonetheless, a trilogy will be uninterested to see if Canelo had dominated GGG the entire match but that wasn't the case because Canelo was clearly struggling to pin GGG and in fact they almost a draw in the 2nd fight too.
Agree, those two fights were controversial and neither fighter was dominated so that justifies the trilogy but IMO this should happen months after the rematch as father time is not on GGG's side but nonetheless this will happen this year so let's just hope that it is worth the wait and worth the money we want to bet on this fight. |
