Crucial FT in OT wow, both attempts missed something that might give you your terrific run placing bets with the underdog, I guess it's the experienced that gives him the pressure, even just one and push the game to another OT but luck is with the Gin kings fans, but not sure if many will bite the ML, and another sure deal is when you will place your bet with a handicap that can lead you to a lost since Ginebra only win the game by 1 point.

Congrats with your other pick. Good thing that you are actively watching and you still manage to add more bets before the game ends.

Just a break-even on last night's bet as TNT doesn't stand a chance against Converge, they were blown into pieces. Looking at the lineup of TNT who played last night, it was only Marcelo, Khobuntin, and Rosser whom I have known while the rest were practice players while on the Converge side, all of the players were playing if I'm not wrong so we better watch out whenever TNT plays next time.
663  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Jermall Charlo Super Middleweight (September 16) on: June 22, 2023, 06:45:24 AM
Damn Charlo need to increase his weight between 6-14 lbs because he was a light middleweight boxer, he skipped the middleweight division. Charlo never fought in other division too, so this will become his first time to fight in the other weight division. Canelo is really get a lot privilege, the venue might happen on Mexico. This is definitely cherry pick, Canelo will beat Charlo in easy.

Jermall Charlo is in for the money, no doubt about it, i think he feels that there is not much money fight for him in the 160lbs division so calling out Canelo is a very good strategy and for the latter it is also a good fight for him since both David Benavidez and Bivol are risky fights that he might end up nothing, no more belts in hand.

This is the typical Canelo we have here, cherry picking once again a fighter who has not fought in more than two years and i do hope that no "rehydration clause" that will be stipulated in the contract as Jermall is 6'1" and he could be bigger than Canelo come fight night.
664  Economy / Gambling discussion / [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Jermall Charlo Super Middleweight (September 16) on: June 21, 2023, 12:30:42 PM

ctto

Date: September 16
Venue: TBD

So, it's officially announced earlier that Jermall Charlo will move up in weight to challenge Canelo Alvarez which i think is the best fight for Canelo this year as a rematch with Bivol is too risky and yet he has nothing to gain if it will be in the SMW division.

What do you think of this fight guys, still cherry picking or Charlo will give Canelo a run for his money?

It seems that the underdog's run will come to an end soon. In the first game, we have Blackwater versus Ginebra, and Ginebra is already leading by double digits. Considering that Ginebra is a very dangerous team when they take an early lead, I don't believe Blackwater will be able to make a comeback.

Seven minutes into the fourth quarter and it is now a close game kabayan, 67-65, Ginebra hanging to that two-point lead and anytime from now, Blackwater might take the lead and win the game and the trend still continues.

edit:

Damn, is that Tyron Hill who missed his two free that could have given the Blackwater the win hehe. Anyways, still a little profit for me as my other bet of +3.5 won while during the live game, i noticed that all who played for Ginebra were bench players/relievers so i added a bet for "under 185.5 @1.78" as i think this would be a low scoring ball game and indeed it was hehe.
666  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: June 21, 2023, 07:42:26 AM
TNT Katropa is still winless in this tournament, that might be the reason of that odds while Converge is still fresh from that upset win over SMB the other day, morale booster for them but i'm betting for TNT +11.5 @.187 here. This is a very risky bet but hope the trend still continues this time around, might be Converge will win but not cover the spread.

If I remember correctly, you lost your bet on TNT when they played against Magnolia. Now, you are risking your money again on them. Well, that's really risky, but we never know the outcome. Perhaps they will play harder and break their cold streak. Are you also considering betting on the moneyline?

Yeah, i lost big time on that one but it is against Magnolia who at the moment sits at the top of the standings in this PBA on tour but against Converge who is 2-3 in standing i think and i hope that they will not be blown out of this game. I've said that i won't bet against Magnolia because for me they are treating every game seriously IMO.

I'm pushing the button for the ML odds for TNT but it's weird that its not process or maybe they don't want me to bet for that odds hehe.
667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: June 21, 2023, 07:20:03 AM
The first game is pretty obvious; Blackwater is the favorite, so it's easy to follow that assumption.

Same here, I do expect that but referring to the current odds provided by local bookies, Brgy. Ginebra is still listed as a Favorite despite Blackwater's good run this PBA on-tour. The Moneyline odds are distant too where it's like the supposed odds on the actual conference lol.

I don't know the basis though I tried to look for the current status of both teams' rosters but found nothing e.g injury list, unavailable players, etc.

Ginebra @ 1.63
BlackWater @ 2.14

It's just the name i think why they are listed as the favorite  Grin but i doubt if they will take this games seriously as it might cause them injury so with that i'll go with Blackwater ML @2.01 and +3.5 @1.83. Sadly, this local bookies of ours offers odds which a bit lower than that of crypto bookies and no boosters as well.

However, in the second game, TNT might be the slight favorite, but Converge is also a good team.
The first time I see TNT with the super underdog odds. Only on PBA On-Tour. Cheesy
Converge @ 1.16
TNT @ 4.65

TNT Katropa is still winless in this tournament, that might be the reason of that odds while Converge is still fresh from that upset win over SMB the other day, morale booster for them but i'm betting for TNT +11.5 @.187 here. This is a very risky bet but hope the trend still continues this time around, might be Converge will win but not cover the spread.
668  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Joshua Franco vs Kazuto Ioka WBA World Superfly (June 24) on: June 21, 2023, 05:07:46 AM
Since the fight will be held in Japan, I will be rooting for the Japanese fighter to win. Here are my reasons:

There may be a chance that the judges could be biased towards their fellow countryman.
Joshua Franco is not known for his knockout power, having only recorded 8 knockouts in his 18 wins.

Despite the advantages I mentioned above, the odds for Kazuto Ioka are quite attractive.

Ioka winning is a big possibility since the fight will be held in Japan and chances are that the fate of this fight will be in the hands of the judges since both boxers are not knockout artist.

Franco in an interview has said that he will do his best so that this fight will not go the distance and again be frustrated with the judges but i doubt he can do that as Ioka is one hell of fighter to crack like to what we have seen when he fight with Nietes.

But i'm more inclined to bet for Franco here because talent-wise, the latter is a little superior than Ioka and he is now 34 years old while Franco is just 27 years of age, that might be a factor also.
669  Economy / Gambling discussion / [Boxing] Joshua Franco vs Kazuto Ioka WBA World Superfly (June 24) on: June 20, 2023, 10:34:04 AM

ctto

Date: June 24, 2023
Venue: Ota-City General Gymnasium, Japan

This fight will happen on the weekend and what interest to make a thread about this is that their last fight ended in a majority draw which i think Franco could have won the fight but since it happens in Japan, judges might be a little bias of course as we all know that Japan is not friendly to outsiders when it comes to decision.

Below odds is almost even so this is an interesting fight to watch.

What's your thoughts about this fight guys?

670  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: June 20, 2023, 10:09:02 AM
There is a strong likelihood that Inoue will stay in the division for a while if he becomes a champion. As long as Casimero remains the top contender, there is a good chance that the fight between them could materialize. The key factors that may come into play are the negotiation process and Inoue's genuine willingness to face Casimero. A potential matchup between them would finally put an end to the speculations surrounding Casimero and Inoue. I am eagerly anticipating the Fulton vs Inoue fight, as its outcome, hopefully favoring Inoue, could potentially pave the way for Casimero to challenge him.

That's a high possibility that Inoue would stay in this weight category as he has yet to prove that he can bring his power to a higher division. If he wins (Inoue) then a unification fight with Tapales is the biggest for this division to happen thus far and a fight with Casimero will only materialize if the latter will keep on winning and become a mandatory challenger as calling out Inoue without a belt or something might not interest the Japanese Monster to fight him as he has nothing to gain in fighting Quadro Alas.
671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 19, 2023, 11:57:14 AM
Now, Canelo's camp is aiming for an easy task, a money making a fight with lesser risk instead of taking good competition
to bring more boost in his career.

So, Canelo will no longer pursue a rematch against Bivol? I thought he was willing to solidify his legacy by avenging his loss to Bivol. Perhaps he was just too emotional after losing the fight and wanted a rematch right away. However, he may have come to realize that, given Bivol's weight class, it would be difficult for him to secure a victory.

Talent-wise, Bivol is superior than Canelo for me. He has good defense that's hard to crack that even Canelo's lethal body shots won't have an effect to Bivol. A rematch at the Light heavy weight division would still yield the same result, a Canelo loss but if it is in the Super-middleweight division, there is a chance that Canelo would win but it would be very risky for him as he will defend all his belt on the guy that beats him already so i think it is unwise for them to fight Bivol for now at either LW or SMW division so best for them is to cherry pick once again hehe.

Wow, I didn't expect that! Congratulations to the bettors who placed their money on DYIP's moneyline. I doubted that they would win, but they proved me wrong. Two major upset wins by DYIP already, can they make it three? Smiley

Underdogs have been winning, and this gives an opportunity for bettors to make a decent profit by simply following the trend.

Congratulations, @bisdak40! You're on a roll!

Me neither but i just follow the experiment to see where this all ends. I will mostly bet on the underdogs but not all the time especially if it is against Magnolia who mercilessly blew out their opponent. The good thing about betting for the underdogs with an odds of 3.xx or 4.xx, if that bet wins then the addition to the capital is substantial that  even two losses in a row could not make a significant negative impact on your capital.

Next game will be on Wednesday but odds are not yet released.

Ginebra vs Blackwater
Converge vs TNT

7,321.00 current capital.  Cool

674  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: June 18, 2023, 11:41:03 AM
I already place a bet on Terrafirman  DYIP with a spread of +8.5 against Meralco Boltz.

Following the trend, that might work, but I doubt Terrafirman DYIP will be able to upset the favorite again, and bettors will win great odds on the moneyline. Maybe the handicap will be covered, but the chances of the DYIP winning are less likely. However, I also consider other people's opinions that this is a PBA on Tour, where games might not be too important. So, I would be happy to be proven wrong though.

Prepare to enjoy watching the game as it will start in less than an hour.

And the trend continues mate, DYIP once again won their game this time against Meralco. Betting on the underdogs is a very risky thing especially if you are focusing on the ML but to offset the risk or minimize it we must put some money on the odds with the handicap as this has a high chance of winning.

@Ziskinberg, congrats on your win mate.

My capital grows with that DYIP, hope Converge will also win today against SMB but if they lose, it's okay, it's a profitable day after all.
675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 18, 2023, 04:41:48 AM
As expected, Prograis won the fight against the late replacement Danielito Zorrilla, retain his WBC 140 lbs belt. However, it was just a split decision as one judge Craig Metcalfe give it to Zorrilla 114-113, Robert Tapper (118-109) and Josef Mason (117-110).

Although you can hear some boos from the fans though. I didn't watch the full fight as it didn't really interest me, just watching from time to time to see if Zorilla can pull an upset but nah, Prograis just having his time at his home town for this fight.

Just surprised that this ends in a split decision as Bookies predicted that it would be a knockout win by Prograis.

Before the fight, i browsed the odds and it's not really attractive to bet for Prograis either by ML or knockout but the "win via decision" is @4.xx, if I'm not mistaken, which is very juicy but I didn't bother to bet as I thought that this would not reach round 12 lol.

Congratulations on your win! However, I'm just curious about the betslip you shared. I'm not familiar with it. Would you mind sharing which sportsbook you are using? It displays in pesos, and I would love to try it as well.

Thank you mate.

For the bookies i used, i can consider this one as a local sportsbook. Here's how you can access this one.

Gcash>>GLife>>Play>>SportsPlus:Sportsbook, after this you can see just like below image, you need to deposit if want to bet but you can also browse to see if there are good odds. Please note that you have to be 21 years or older to use this feature.

677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: June 17, 2023, 11:44:32 AM

Only one game for today and the odds is almost even by i will still go for the slight underdog.

NorthPort ML @2.10 vs Ginebra
I like the pick; it's a mature pick. A typical gambler would automatically place a bet once they see that Ginebra is just a slight favorite. They may think that every time Ginebra played, they will win. Therefore, I believe that your pick has a good chance of winning.

Anyway, good luck with your experiment.

I hope to see your bankroll increase significantly, or at the very least, double. Smiley

Good pick indeed hehe. NorthPort won by just six points. I saw the box score and found out that in the second quarter, Ginebra only manage to score 9 points versus the 32 points of NorthPort, that's the turning point of the game.

Capital or bankroll (whatever they called it) is now at 5,505 Php, hope this will be doubled on the end of the PBA On tour. BTW, when will these tune-up games end, anybody had an idea?

678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Improve Your Sports Betting Skills and Win More Bets? on: June 17, 2023, 07:20:40 AM
Parlay will be the strategy for earning that xxx, xxx quickly but things could go the other way quickly also.

The odds are almost the same in every platform you have an account. The longer you are in sports betting you already are aware of just going to one platform because, after all, it's the same unless the other has a special promo. But turning $1k to $xxx, xxx, that's huge. I wouldn't really make someone hope for it to happen to them. If they are going to take that journey I think it will take time.  Hey, I get by just putting my money to the top dogs every time.

At the end of the day, it all boils down to discipline. No matter what strategy we are using  but if we don't have the discipline to stick to it then that $1k will go down south quickly instead of making it into a six digit.

Parlay, martingale and all other strategies will only be useful if games that you are betting will go on your side but if not, it would be a disaster. I have a gamble online and offline but for me i just can't find the right strategy to 1 into 1000.

Bottom line, discipline and luck would always go hand in hand so that you could make millions in this sports betting industry, just my two cents.
679  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: June 16, 2023, 11:54:35 PM
I did check the score after first half and got surprise Mags turned everything to their favor what a 2nd quarter run outscoring TNT, but for sure there are many changes as there are still 2 quarters and anything can still happen here, the handicap is huge Kabayan, looking to see that TNT will try to rally back and close the gap or possible to win it even they are listed as underdog here.

Good luck Kabayan!

Lost my bet on that game kabayan, almost a 30 point lead by the Magnolia Hotshots, seems they are very serious in all of their tune-up games hehe. They are now 5-0 so that means it is not good to bet against them in the future.

I'll start an experiment here to see where my Php5k goes until the end of this PBA-On-Tour tourny, my strategy would be betting on the underdogs ML and other half with handicap.

edit:

Only one game for today and the odds is almost even by i will still go for the slight underdog.

Tingin nyo guys.
