 Odds are already out and as expected, Mark Magsayo was listed as the huge underdog here which for me is a good thing because he is a very live underdog and could upset Figueroa come fight night. That was an easy one. Ginebra dominated the game and ended up winning by 26 points. It's a huge bounce back after losing previous games, but you know Blackwater is not really a downgrade. Closely monitoring the second game here between the Beermen and Katropa and it's a close one at the moment that i'm tempted to go for TNT with that 2,40 odds at halftime. At the same time this one is a low scoring ballgame with the import of both teams only scored 11 and 9 points respectively which i think would still be trend going into the second half so i'm betting now under 212.5 @1.96. Don't attempt to bet on TNT because Mikey Williams did not return due to an ankle sprain he sustained in the first half. It's very risky in my opinion. I suggest taking a bigger odds in favor of SMB, like SMB winning by 11+ points, which is at 9.25 now. I won't be betting anymore on this game, just monitoring now my under 212.5 bet that is in the risk of losing as shots from both teams were falling in the third quarter that they scored 63 points in that quarter alone. edit: Sorry about that, mate. It's okay mate, at least i won on my other bet on the under 212.5. I'm an SMB fan, just tempted to bet on the Katropa because of the close scores but when i knew that Williams and Pogoy were not there, i will not bet for them because too risky, they are just lucky that the breaks of the game fell into them. If Junemar was there, Oftana could have not gotten the offensive rebound and the putback. |

Yes, this fight is happening, I posted it here first, hehehe. Anyways, it's good to have a separate thread for this fight, this is for the bantamweight belt so it's deserves one. And as the majority of you guys see it, we are going to favor our very own Nonito Donaire and his chances are good to win another bantamweight reign. Santiago might be unknown to us, not enough in the top 5, but it doesn't mean that it will be easy for Donaire. Still very hard fight but at the end, the experience of Donaire will be in full display here, how he is going to set up that left hook, coverage of the ring and setting feint and traps to open Santiago and then give us his patented left hook to finish with a knockout. Yup, no such thing as an easy fight for Donaire now especially at this stage of his career but i could say that this one is very winnable. As usual, Donaire's height or we say, he is the bigger fighter here which could be the biggest advantage of the Filipino Flash. Santiago is 5'2 which i think will give him a hard time to hit Donaire and him vulnerable to that patented counter left hook which could end the fight quickly. |

Oh wow, this could be another Mike Tyson in the making. Don't know how the judiciary system works in the US but with the things I saw, Davis can face jail time after that May 5 sentencing. I think they should push through with their plan to fight Ryan Garcia on April 15 as jail time could really affect his career. Per report, contract finalization is imminent so we will just wait for it now. |

Magnolia is currently playing against NLEX.
It's a close game, just like the first game where ROS won by only 2 points. Honestly, I thought DYIP would beat ROS because they were playing without an import, but it looks like DYIP's import wasn't 100% in that game. Magnolia vs NLEX was a close game up until the end of the first half but things changed when the Hotshots stepped on that accelerator pedal in the third quarter and fourth as they are now leading by 20 big points with 3 minutes to go. Didn't know what happened here as i don't watch the game live because Smart Sports no longer stream PBA live games but just lucky to have bet for Magnolia Hotshots +2.5 @1.86 when they are down by 8 points somewhere in the third canto, usually i end up losing with this kind of betting style but i think i would win this one hehe. |

^^ Tank will have to go to a another court hearing if I'm not mistaken about another case on his, hit and run. And I think this is one issue that both sides have been looking ever since they want to have this fight because it's out of their control. We don't know what will be the judges decision.
The court hearing of that hit and run charges will be today, February 16, 2023, and his destiny fights with Ryan Garcia relies on the outcome of that hearing as he could face a jail term of up to seven years if proven guilty, that would ruin his boxing career not just the Ryan Garcia fight. Last time I've checked, the contract for this fight is not yet final so maybe next week we could see progress and a definite schedule once Tank Davis will be cleared on the court from these 14 charges of hit and run. |

TNT vs Blackwater is a high-scoring game with no defense on either team. They are just exchanging baskets, especially in the third quarter. However, TNT is still in control of the game, and I think it's hard for Blackwater to cover the spread with the way they are playing. Also, maybe this is the first time that the total scores combined will reach over 250.
Indeed, it was a high-scoring game, as the teams surpassed the 250-point mark. And it looks like we will have another high-scoring game, as SMB and Northport are currently shooting well. They have already scored a combined 76 points in the 1st quarter, and if this trend continues, they may reach another 250+ points. Right now, the over-under is set at 249.50. Should we follow the trend or go the other way? I did go the other way and lost my bet hehe. Bet under 249.50 at the end of the first half as I think that the trend will change in the second half because they will tighten their defense but i was wrong, the scores in the second half were even bigger than that of the first half. Looking at the stats, both teams were shooting at more than 50 percent accuracy with NorthPort at 56% in the 2P FG and 73% for SMB, seldom we can see high-scoring games like that in the PBA. With that, we should watch out or be aware that PBA is not a low-scoring game anymore, and if you can see an opportunity to bet at pre-game where the market at over/under is low, take the over hehe. |

I always have a dilemma when it comes to chasing losses in gambling. When I’m in the good mood, I preferred betting using the same amount multiple times until I hit a winning streak to recover my lose but when I’m in bad mood, I usually increase my bet size equals to my total lose so that I can recover quickly.

Can relate much on your situation mate. Chasing losses is a big problem for me as i intend to double my bet after a lose to recover quickly but turns out that most of the time losing more. I could say that "patience" really plays a big role in gambling so if we want to stay longer in this game we should be disciplined and patient enough and not hurry on recovering our losses. If I'm on a losing streak I usually take a break then bet again and if lose again then that's it for me on that day and come back tomorrow hoping that I would be lucky this time and recover my losses yesterday. |

yes , Donaire seems like limiting his fight with 1 fight a year , maybe extending the fighting will improve his ranking and also His dedication , because Even Manny Pacquiao in his prime are having 2 fights a year and yes he maintain his speed and his momentum.

I think he should do the opposite. Why would he limit his fights to once a year? He's already old, and the longer he stays in boxing, the higher the risk he will lose due to his age. I think he should have more fights so that he can accumulate more money once he retires At 40 years, Donaire has got a year or two in boxing so I think they will fight whatever is thrown on the table as long as it is manageable and that fight doesn't poses danger to his health. With regards to his ranking, that is not a problem for his promoter if they want him to fight as he is a popular boxer for now and they know that they will have decent sales whenever Donaire is on the card. Hope that they will announce soon enough who will fight for the WBC vacant bantamweight title. |

I mean TNT is performing very good with him as an import, but it has stated in the article that they need an import that can also play at the paint and bigger than him. Hudson is a scorer and his frame is a bit small compare to others, thus they needed to change their import.
I would say that it's a good move for TNT if they want to match up with the big guns of SMB teams like Fajardo. As we have seen with Hudson, though he is a good import but not that good compared to Brownlee that can score whenever he wants, he can score but can be defended/contained by a local player like Chris Ross and when that happened who can they go to if they want a point in a crucial period. I'm surprised on the Vargas - Foster match the shorter Foster uses the distance to connect and find the angles when it should be the tall Vargas doing this stuff if Magsayo wins against Figueroa, he'll have to watch the Foster - Vargas match he'll have insight and develop a good method to beat Vargas this time.
I'm pretty sure Magsayo will be motivated as he can now exact his revenge against Vargas but Figueroa is a tall order, he has two mountains to conquer to win the title again.
Motivated indeed as he has now some sort of a template on how to beat Vargas if the rematch would happen and not just rely on that one-punch knockout but first he should first concentrate on the Figueroa fight and not to be too confident on this upcoming fight as we all knew that Figueroa is also a hungry fighter for that title.
