I don't think government vwill ban cryptocurrencies completely. Even though it will be, not for long term. The truth is that everyone wants it to have faster development  and also increase the revenue.
There are few valid reasons why government doesn't like cryptocurrencies.
Since there are no regulations set up and thus no governance on cryptocurrencies trading, it is very difficult for government to keep track of investments from the country.
Every government wants some amount as per taxes applicable from the trading transactions which can increase overall revenue.
Due to not having regulations, government can not set up tax system on such transactions.
And the most important thing is due to not having any governance on trading of cryptocurrencies, there are mostly chances of money laundering, which is not in favor of any of the governments.

We always say that sky is the limit, but we never no that for limits there is something out there which is beyond the sky, Moon
When btc was 20k people and then started falling, people assume that 20k is the peak of it's price. But still more things to be evolved and developed.
It's time to buy and accumulate at dips so to grow our investment which in long run will definitely give very good and unbelievable returns.

We can always discuss on "current" market's situation. no one can predict what will be the direction. Yes, to some extent by doing technical analysis and other tools but can not guarantee.
Only thing we should do is to learn from the previous conditions and act accordingly to get good returns.
There was downward trend for around six months and now market is in flat condition. This means, market needs some solid news or I can say booster to shoot up and catch the bulls.
But no one can predict the nature of market. This can happen vice versa.
So, small investors (not traders) like me should wait and watch the situation. Let's hope for the best.

Trading is an excellent option to gain quickly within short duration.
But, to be a successful trader, we should have enough time to do market analysis on daily basis, keep watch on positive or negative news, which can drive the market up or down and most importantly enough funds to trade(to continue even if there are any losses).
On the other side, holding is nothing but keeping the investment for long term and don't need to keep an eye on  market continuously. Although it takes time to get good returns, gains are guaranteed most of the time.

 I think its time to accumulate more altcoins. At the moment market is not in good condition, overall. Most of the altcoins are now more than 50%- 80% down from their peak value. In my opinion bull run will start soon and this is the right time to average losses or to accumulate them with 50-60% of funds available to buy. Also keeping in mind in worst case scenario, if market goes further down, remaining amount can be used to accumulate further to ensure gains in long term.

Cryptocurrency hardware wallets are most secure electronic device designed to store private keys of your coins in an offline setting. The private keys and digital signatures needed to deposit and withdraw cryptos, are generated via these wallets.
Like the way you set up any wallet, you need to write down the seed word also known as recovery phrase on a piece of paper and store it in a safe place. Generally, we should prefer making 2-3 copies & distribute it to safeguard it.  And as your keys are offline, there is no possibility of getting hacked. This is why hardware wallets are tamper proof and most secured wallets for cryptocurrencies.
If you want to store Bitcoin & other Cryptocurrencies secure for a long-term, then you should definitely use a hardware wallet.

Very good explanation about all types of wallets. This information is really useful.
Since the topic is about cryptocurrencies wallets, I came across a project called Skelpy which provides privacy certificates to wallet providers. Market is still leading by cryptocurrency leader Bitcoin. Market's upward or downward trend is highly depends on bitcoin price. If we compare the situation of mid 2017 and 2018, we can clearly see how the Bitcoin price (I would mark it as market price) directly impacted the ICO projects.

I think this will be the best portfolio. As you mentioned about diversified investment, you are absolutely correct. In today's market volatility situations which lasts longer than expected, diversified portfolio can always safeguard your investment.
Bitcoin below $3000 and Etherium below $100 was or is the best opportunity to accumulate.
I don't know in details about all the altcoins you mentioned but seems most of them are in top 20 as per market capitalization.
Just a small suggestion, enhance or expand your portfolio with investing in new projects for example MultiVAC and Bankera.(your own research is recommended).
Surely, upcoming bull run will attract very good returns.

At the moment I see the fallen market as nothing but an opportunity to buy more. If you are a long term investor, there is nothing to be afraid of.
When the glass of water is half filled, we should see the opportunity to fill more half. Most of the altcoins are now available at more than 50-70% cheaper than their original value.
At the moment market is in flat condition and at any time due to some big news it can pickup upward or downward momentum. Further downtrend will again encourage me to buy more.

Key to small gains to your investment but without loss(very less chances) is diversification. I believe you should invest 20% of your money in Bitcoin, 30% in top 5 cryptocurrencies(as per the market capitalization) and  30% in new altcoins like BNK and MTV(MultiVAC) and other good researched projects.
As market is leading by Bitcoin, as soon as market moves upward direction, you will get good gains with bitcoin and other top 5 currencies. Rest of your investment you can parked for long term goal to have handsome returns.
You should use your remaining 20% money buying more when market is in deep or having sharp corrections.
