Cerebus the Aardwark by Dave Sim.
The trope Cerebus Syndrome is named after this mammoth series that dwarfs the colossal (6000+ to 1300+ pages) Bone comic series.

All CoD trailers are epic, but the graphics and gameplay has been the same since mw2.

Become a Nat Geo Photographer, explore the world, take photos to share it with others and still make a pretty penny (at least those who worked for Nat Geo said after selling to Nat and places like Gawker they had enough dosh to send their kids through private schooling) unfortunately they no longer contract photographers permanently and now buy sets/stories from freelance photojournalists.
1565  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can Cats sense Earthquakes and other disaters on: May 05, 2014, 09:13:34 AM
In an earthquake, there is a p-wave, which is the preliminary shake, and the s-wave, the secondary shaking. The p-wave in an earthquake isn't as strong generally as the s-wave, but can be more obviously felt. Especially by cats, who're vibration sensitive.
1566  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Forget China woes, there's potentially an even bigger player India!! on: May 05, 2014, 09:12:16 AM
India started the micro banking system and that system can be more efficient and helpful to the poor if cryptocurrency can implemented in it. India makes cheap tablets like Akash , which I think is like $12 that can run android apps. So there is lot of potential to grow. The only thing I am worried about is the corrupted politicians in India.
1567  Other / Off-topic / Re: I went fishing for basically the first time ever. on: May 05, 2014, 09:10:32 AM
Been fishing for 43 years now... Lakes, rivers, oceans... in the Pacific, Atlantic, Indian & Arctic Oceans... South China, Mediterranean Seas... Persian, Mexican, and Baja Gulfs.

BEST fish was a 50 pound Yellowfin Tuna off San Diego..
This is so ironic but I literally came to this sub today for the first time because I'm getting excited to cooking trout in two weeks (thats when fishing season opens in NJ) and this was the first post I see. Nice fish by the way, especially that second one. What'd you use as bait?
I usually give a live sardines and anchovies to hook the  tuna. Or an artificial bait. I've caught more tuna on sardines than any other bait.
1568  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your trick to transform your thoughts from negative to positive energy? on: May 05, 2014, 09:06:57 AM
I just remind myself that everything in the universe is exactly as it is mean to be, and that getting pissed off wont change that fact.
1569  Other / Off-topic / Re: Let's talk about how hot Asian girls are. on: May 01, 2014, 12:10:44 PM
They are pretty but any woman can be cute, race doesn't make you cute or attractive in general. Some people think I'm half asian lol but I'm actually half native american (tarahumara) but some of those native americans (they are from northern mexico) look very asian so that's why.
1570  Other / Off-topic / Re: Time Does Not Exist on: May 01, 2014, 11:31:37 AM
I have always thought time was an abstract idea constructed by the human mind, like many things. Time supposedly travels forwards yet it is always the present, future and past are just concepts. There is only the eternal now.
so you're saying that the record of time , in past and future is an illusion and there is only the moment, right? that the recollection of past and future is the illusion, an anticipation created by the human mind.
Basically I just believe the only thing that ever really exists is the present moment. The future and past are just concepts, we only ever experience the present moment. Yes things happened in the past etc but in the present moment they only exist in the mind. The time is always "right now", and it always has been. If anything things go in cycles, not linear. If you don’t know what I am saying its kinda like Buddhist/zen philosophy.
1571  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Raising children on: May 01, 2014, 11:21:53 AM
I don't think exposing young children to 'brutal' films at such a young age is a good idea. A good motto for raising kids is 'teach them how to think not what to think'.
This is the perfect advice you can give to parents for raising their kids!To many parents see in their kids the second chance in life ,and force them to do what they couldn't.A kid is an individual just as you ,is not a doll or a dog to train him!
1572  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Good luck banning Bitcoin/CC's! It's now or never! on: May 01, 2014, 11:10:15 AM
I think after things shake out, bitcoin will end up being a replacement for the international money transfer system. No more wire transfers, no more western union, no more going to the currency office to send your remittance back to your home country. Just tap your phone and your money is in your home country, feeding your family.
1573  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why Science Does Not Disprove God on: May 01, 2014, 10:56:33 AM
The idea that we have to even argue this religion versus science thing is why America is slipping in world power.  If you pit your religion against science you won't survive.  It's like arguing owning a car invalidates owning a house.  One has nothing to do with the other.  I personally believe that science exists because we are supposed to learn more and understand more.  Evolution, chemistry, and physics are all to me can only validate my beliefs.
1574  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is College Worth it? So many graduates In Debt/Underemployed on: May 01, 2014, 10:41:36 AM
Yes, it's possible to educate yourself..but good teachers make it easier
Yes, it's possible to get a good job without a degree..possible but increasingly difficult
Some professions like law or medicine require degrees, some like engineering or science are close to impossible without a degree
So yes, college is still necessary, but it is essentially a medieval organization that desperately needs to reinvent itself

1577  Other / Off-topic / Re: Ban fur farms in China on: April 30, 2014, 08:18:47 PM
They used to skin horses alive in southern Europe, the extreme cruelty there stopped largely to the efforts of a very few campaigners from Britain in the 19th C.
1578  Other / Off-topic / Re: Best book you ever had? on: April 30, 2014, 05:39:00 PM
As a kid I really liked Swiss Family Robinson, The old Man and the Sea – Hemingway ,Siddhartha – Hesse, but these days I'd say the RAMA series by Arthur C. Clarke, I read them every year or so.
1579  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can Kids Be Raised in a Gender-neutral Society? on: April 30, 2014, 05:29:19 PM
Our kids are gonna be screwed up, confused, weak, timid, thus the recent influx in school shootings, and gender confusion plaguing the schools along with the increase in teen suicides they dont have the capacity anymore to process adversity, nor do they have strength to endure conflict.

When I was a kid I got beat up, teased, called names, I grew up to be just fine and secure in who I am, today a kid goes through what I went through he makes a youtube video about it crying, and either offs himself or shoots up the playground.
