1561  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Reasons why the 95% of future traders lose all of their money on: January 02, 2023, 09:29:59 PM
The reason for losing money in trading is that most traders are new to the crypto market and expect to make more profits in a short period of time, in which case they face more losses. To determine risk tolerance, start trading with a virtual account and analyze the market well. If you have limited risk capacity and cannot handle large losses then it is better to close the trade.
People lose money in trading for different reasons,  some maybe  because of not having good understanding about trading but they force their self in trading just to make money. Some people come into trading having a mindset to become rich without making good research to know the essence of trading. Lack of knowledge is the reason why people lose all of their money in trading. If traders should consider learning and having patience their wont be to much lose of money.
Remember that losing is still a part of trading, so even if traders tend to be more knowledgeable and skilled, there are still unavoidable losses that are hard to resist. What makes more difference in trading is that traders should have the right mindset, why they are in trading and what will make them survive in trading despite of their imperfections as traders.
1562  Economy / Economics / Re: Every passing year seems progressively worse on: January 02, 2023, 08:58:46 PM
I don't know how to describe this emotion, but every year that passes seems progressively worse than the previous one in a variety of ways. The last few years seem to be going downhill, with something unpleasant occurring every single year. In 2020 and 2021, we suffered enough with Covid-19, in 2022, we thought that we'd possibly get a break, but nope, the war started on February, which was followed by excessive inflation and an economic recession.

We're now entering 2023, and things aren't looking any better. Inflation keeps worsening, energy and oil prices are extremely volatile, while in our case in Greece and Italy, despite MWH being the cheapest it has been since the invasion, we're holding the record for the most expensive energy prices.

On top of that, a few days before 2023, half of the U.S.A. is suffering a terrible blizzard, with temperatures even reaching as low as -50C. Climate change is real, and it's only going to get worse in the following years.

I'm not sure if everything has gone downhill in the past few years or if I'm overexaggerating and making it sound worse than it really is. Perhaps my sitting all alone in my bed on New Year's Eve isn't helping.

Anyway, happy new year to everyone and good luck on your bitcoin endeavors!
Obviously you are just in a state of negativity that’s why you end up over absorbing all the negative incidents that had happened in the whole world. And definitely, this will not bring any good for you, even to all of us. As a matter of fact, I don’t see everything going downhill, although there are some of those that we can’t do nothing but to leave them where they are right now. Just don’t dwell in negativity, otherwise you’ll be left behind because you were too busy thinking of them while others have already made great decisions that made them advanced and ahead of you.
1563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your opinion on the future of Decentralised exchanges on: January 02, 2023, 08:36:46 PM
Will decentralised exchanges get more attention now that FTX secrets is all out? Will people now trust decentralised exchanges more than centralised exchanges? Cos the only thing still standing tall right now is Binance, I believe this is the only CEX people still give full face 😂  but it seems like Uniswap and Pancake will take the lead in near future?
Most probably, smart investors will focus more on the security of their funds, and might also transfer their funds from centralized to decentralized exchanges. After the event with FTX, even those reputable exchanges that we trusted at the moment, have also higher chances to be hacked in the future, so we should be more careful by now on where to put our funds that can be well safeguarded. If there’s one good thing that this FTX incident can offer, I think people now have become mindful in all their investments and assure their security by trusting them on decentralized ones.
1564  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should I invest in cryptocurrency or start my business? on: January 02, 2023, 07:52:16 PM
I have been working as a freelancer for years, and I have saved some reasonable sum of money. now knowing the full potential that cryptocurrencies have, I am now confused on what to do if is to invest in cryptocurrencies or to establish a business while still working as a freelancer, I don't know the one I should do at moment, if to invest in cryptocurrencies or to establish my business.
You can actually do both if you have the sufficient funds and you think you are capable enough to manage them well and make them successful investments in the future. Besides, crypto investments won’t take the most of your time, and you can still make use of your free time managing another business that you think will surely create a demand to the customers around.
1565  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading With Borrowed Funds!!! on: January 02, 2023, 07:35:47 PM
Why not if you're willing to gamble and the loan amount is within your personal risk tolerance? The problem is that having yet to learn what to do with borrowed money is a prime example of ignorance and a surefire recipe for disaster.

But who knows? Maybe one day you'll also become a crazy rich person OR become someone who will post their losses on a forum like this.
I should say borrowing funds is not good to start especially in a risky activity like trading. However, if you are capable to pay for it provided that you also have multi sources of income aside from trading, then why not? I believe a lot of successful traders nowadays also started with loans, but because they are good and determined enough to make profits, they end up being successful traders. If taking loans can give you a good start and will bring usefulness for you, then it’s something that we should not afraid to take.
1566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Responsible gambling on: January 01, 2023, 09:24:01 PM
I can relate to this kind of experience because sometimes, when I am winning too much, I often increase my bet size which is out of my norm because normally I only play with minimal bet sized.

I have that kind of habit too when winning big since no pain, no gain lol.

In that particular situation, I'm setting up a limit depending on how much I win.

For example, if winning $200 on a big win, either via a bonus game, buy-in, or related features, I will risk $100 to lose after that. If the risked amount got busted, regardless of what my emotion is telling me to do so, I will try to follow my set limit as possible as I can.

I'm now used to doing that.

That’s normal for us gamblers to chase over winning bigger profits as there might be bigger and higher rewards waiting for us in the end. But if we find it that the casino is getting back our profits slowly, then it’s a reminder that if we pursue betting, we will end up losing everything. Good for you mate as you have self-control and able to manage your profits well, but for some gamblers who have difficulty in controlling their urge, it’s better to just leave gambling and call it a day once you are in profits already.
1567  Other / Off-topic / Re: What are your takes on revenge gambling? on: January 01, 2023, 08:50:53 PM
Just as the topic implies, What really are your thoughts on revenge gambling?
Revenge gambling can be seen as a situation where one chases after their loss after making huge loss which to me ends up a disaster.

One of the major reasons people chase after loss is
*using money they can't afford to loss to gamble
*Over expectations.
These two are the major reasons people indulge in revenge gambling and my questions are
~ What are your thoughts on revenge gambling?
~ what other reasons would make some indulge in revenge gambling?
~ What are the measures to help combat revenge gambling?

Please lets discuss

The term revenge alone implies negativity, so it would not be useful one’s pursued. Just like in revenge gambling, the only reason I’ve seen players resorting to this is that maybe they have been into huge losses and just want to recover them, or they have been seeing gambling as a source of income and make high expectations that they will eventually gain money from it in the long run. But most likely, the worst scenario will eventually takes place. Once we gamble more and chase over our losses, we end up losing even more. It’s good to gamble and set limits, but once uncontrolled, we all know it will never be fun and profitable anymore.
1568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: December 31, 2022, 01:56:19 AM
So, Errol Spence have now spoken about his future fight, although he's still not disclosing his current condition but it seems to me that he's already fine because his camp is now busy discussing about this matter. Anyway, the twist is that he will announce it soon who will he face this April 2023.

Newest update:
Quote
Errol Spence Jr has revealed on Twitter that he’ll be fighting in April against a still-to-be-determined opponent. The opponent is rumored to be former WBA/WBC welterweight champion Keith ‘One Time’ Thurman, who will be coming off a long 14-month layoff if he’s the one that faces IBF, WBA & WBC 147-lb champion Spence (28-0, 22 KOs).

If it’s not Thurman (30-1, 22 KOs), there’s an outside possibility that Spence will be defending against his IBF mandatory Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis.
https://www.boxingnews24.com/2022/12/errol-spence-fighting-in-april-against-tba/

What's your take about this guys? Should Spence secure the bout with Thurman or should he go directly to Ennis where there's a much higher risk because Boots is already regarded as one of the best boxers in the welterweight now and been touted as the upgraded version of Crawford.

1569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gervonta Davis vs Ryan Garcia on: December 31, 2022, 01:34:23 AM
And according to Ryan Garcia's trainer, the fame Joe Goossen, Ryan is the harder puncher of the two,

Quote
“The thing is, I think per square inch, Ryan possesses a much heavier punch [than Davis]. I believe that for a particular reason. With that said, neither one of these guys want to get hit with the other guy’s best shot.”

https://www.boxingscene.com/ryan-garcia-packs-heavier-punch-tank-davis-says-trainer-joe-goossen--171395

Obviously, he will praise Garcia and tell us what advantage he has against Tank not just in terms of power though.

And I do agree, either one doesn't want to get hit by the other one because for sure this is going to be a knock out. And the one that blinks in this fight, will wake up in the canvass after they get hit.

Of course he will Grin Joe could praise Ryan Garcia about his capabilities forever and talk about who's got more heavier punch between Ryan and Gervonta but Joe forgot that that's not the only thing that matters because somebody can throw a much heavier punch but there will be always that somebody too that can withstand those heavy punch that could lead to a KO. Talking about the ability to withstand, I bet Ryan Garcia doesn't have that.

We will only know the answer once they already throwing punches, right? for now, let's wait for the schedule to take place
all the speculation and opinions are accepted.

But to conclude who's heavier or who have that strong punches, and who ca withstand in between, that can be realized
when we witness them fighting.

Let see if those words are accurate for Ryan or it might be Davis that will earn the respect.

Nobody here have said or concluded about the outcome mate, what we're talking here are just mere speculations and who got the upper hand that will likely help either one of them in their campaign. Even if we say who are we rooting for, it won't still guarantee that they'll be the ones who will get favored. It's still gonna be a long night of fighting for the both stated boxers.
1570  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: December 30, 2022, 08:42:15 PM
Yup, If Ryan will take Tank down, he will climb to the next level of his career, but I doubt Tank will give him that easy access, Tank will do
everything not to give the young fella that chance.

But we know that inside this sport, upset is always possible. We will expect an entertaining exchange of punches from these two gentlemen,

I'm assuming to see a good KO finished whoever wins. Both deserve to earn the praise for each fan who will support this fight.

This fight if pushed through, will not go the full twelve rounds as either boxer will fall facing the canvass hehe.

Both have knockout power, Davis has the advantage experience-wise but Garcia also got the size advantage which will offset that experience of Davis if used properly.

Ryan Garcia is waiting in the wings for this fight and as a fight fan, i do hope that Davis will overcomes all the hurdle he has right now both inside and outside the ring for this fight to come to realization.

I'm already looking forward to see this fight somewhere in the 1st or 2nd quarter next year, and yes, I'm also thinking that they won't be needing the whole 12 rounds to settle their rivalry. Both boxers are a power puncher, so considering that, I'd give an 8 rounds for this fight to finish because both of them is just looking for that perfect phase to loose their knockout punch that will turn the tables on their favor.

Also, I hope Davis will be able to get out much earlier so that there will be no reasons that will arise once he will get defeated. We need him to prepare fully for this fight and to really see who's who between the two of them.
1571  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 30, 2022, 07:31:41 PM
It looks like Casimero needs to rank up in order for him to be noticed and become a mandatory challenger for the 122 lbs title and possibly have a match with Inoue.

He sure do need to go through the ranks before he can face any champions at 122 pounds and become a mandatory challenger because he doesn't have any perks that Naoya Inoue have. Aside from that, Casimero also don't have the likes of Bob Arum who do have strong ties to the governing bodies that will give him some favors. We don't need to prove that statement because it's already clear that political ties are far more important in this era.

Sadly yes, as much as we know that Casimero is a good fighter and I will say that his style bring fans to the seat to watch him because he is so flamboyant and brandish, he will have to go the old style of ranking up because meeting any of the champions at 122 pounds and maybe it can include Naoya Inoue that time. But we all know that he is not stranger to this kind of test, so for sure he will welcome it and then crush the competitions like what he did at bantamweight division before becoming a champion, the hard way, the better for him, not like Inoue who is given like a jumpstart and will fight the champion in his first move in the 122 pounds.

I agree, he's like McGregor of MMA who speaks nonsense words and tries to fight the enemies inside their head prior to the fight but when the fight commence, Casimero works his end and prove to everybody that he's not all talk. I'm just glad now that the result against Ryo Akaho has been corrected by the KBM and that the fight was indeed ended with a KO in Casimero's favor. Now, that's already one step ahead, he needs to fight more and hopefully he can do 2-3 fights next year so that his name will soon pop up to be one of the title challenger.
1572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 30, 2022, 06:43:24 PM
Yeah, perhaps the new coach has something to do with the current chemistry of the team. And it seems that the drama surrounding diva 1, Kyrie Irving has been settled and so it diva 2, Ben Simmons, comfortable on his position, sometimes he score more points and assists and then play good defense, and then games wherein he is not existent. But at least there are no more noises behind. However, they are winning so everything is good, but when they score losing again, for sure there will be finger pointing again. So we shouldn't sit with this one, the best test will come on the playoff and who will be their opponent. Still very far though, many things can happen.

Kevin Durant gets what he wanted and that might be one of the reasons why there's no more distraction on his mind and he's just playing basketball on his usual-self. Good to see those supposed headaches of the Nets are now working well together that seems nothing happened before.

Off-night performance though, if happened, is usual but what matters here is, the chemistry is really doing well.

Hopefully, the Nets will be able to keep up that good momentum for a long and more importantly, away from any injuries.

They will of course straighten up because they will end up tanking next season if Kevin Durant will force his way again to get traded. I know that without Durant, the team is still a threat to the league but somehow the other teams will find some loopholes how to crumble the Nets who got no Durant and of course an injury in the superstar will add them another headache.

In short, getting out at least one of the current players in the roster will give the team some struggles that they don't want. I'm glad seeing them at the top again next to the Celtics and their hardwork paid off this time.

So far, all of them is playing safely. Severe injuries might not be present this time because of that, just a minor sore or crumps only. Hopefully.
1573  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bear market likely over? on: December 30, 2022, 06:04:53 PM
In a bear market though, any positive news will not be felt, just like when we hear about Brazil's legalization, the price didn't move on the contrary, it just move sideways, meaning no effect at all and on the contrary, it just go down a bit as we speak.

But if this news happens in the bull market, for sure a minimum jump of 5% will happen as soon as this news was released.

Anyhow, bear market is not over, and it could stay for a the whole year, 2023.
Of course it can. Have you noticed that Bitcoin price rises to over $20k before? That was also the time where we saw some positive news. A negative news can have a negative effect as well because after those scams incident the price then drops again below $20k.

The presence of the bear market is still there and it has the biggest influence among all because if not because of it, then we can reach more than $20k right after some positive news came out. The announcement about Brazil to legalize crypto is sure a positive news but there are no actions yet that have been taken. That is also the reason on why the price hardly increase.

The last $20k was seen over a month ago, in the first week of November but after 48 hours the price fell steeply towards a little less $16k and up until now, the market has been going back and forth in the same price. After Brazil legalized the Bitcoin and passed a law about it, the market slightly increased towards $17k and just like other good news in the past, the market came back to $16k again in just few days after Brazil's legalization. So, who knows, bear season might stay with us until next year as there's still no sign that the bull is already approaching.
1574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: December 28, 2022, 08:19:53 PM

It really seems that the era of real-tough and hard boxing is almost over and these exhibition fights are taking over the scene. Don't take it wrong, I know that there are still few real boxers left who are prioritizing their legacy over than the money but the majority seems to be only chasing money rather than giving entertainment to the fans who are lifting them and there's this boxing politics too.

As for Pacquiao and his new found way in the industry, it's safe to say that he will be packed for the next few years to come as there will be a lot more fighters or boxers who will call him out to materialize an exhibition bout. DK Yoo and Pacquiao's bout with his former sparring partner is only the beginning. Surely there's more to come with these kind of fights.
I agree that it is really becoming the trend now which it do really sucks on seeing that they are really that prioritizing these exhibition fights rather into those official fights just like
on what other people that preferred into. Its true that they are aiming on having to make money and not really that legacy on which a true boxer should really be attaining into.
If we do compare out those numbers of huge real boxing official events and into those exhibition fights then we could say that it does have some considerable
amount of fights that had been set on this year alone.

I think Mayweather alone had 3 fruitful exhibition fights this year alone, I don't know why he's still a hotshot tho and still marketable for the most organizers as he's been going back-and-forth in Japan and Dubai. Anyway, as said, more and more exhibition fights are being held annually and some people are more inclined to see these type of bouts because it's their chance too to see their idols once again especially after Manny Pacquiao's return in the ring.

If your friend would tell you hey bud I have 10k in BTC lets try to make it 65k. You play on the casino for me.
How would you play? what would be your game pattren?

Id probably do 1 game of black (20k win) then one game of roullete with 10 numbers = $65k profit.

what would you do
They always say that we shouldn't involve gambling and money in friendship because it could easily ruin relationships. That will be a risky offer and your friend might only blame you if every you'll lose in gambling. Let him decide on his own and never get involved in it. As a friend, you can also advise him not to risk a huge amount of money in gambling if he aims to make a profit. Never decide for your friend's fortune in gambling.

I understand what you're trying to say but hear me out first.

Surely that said friend of yours won't come at you to play on his behalf worth 10k of bitcoins if he/she knows that you have no experience when it comes playing at the casino. I don't really think that your friend is that dumb to trust that huge coins if you don't have any experience at all or idea how casino works, but the thing is your friend came at you, so that means that he/she trusted you and that he/she knows that you have some experience when it comes to betting. Anyway, the OP's question depends really on our own perspective.

We don't need to prove that statement because it's already clear that political ties are far more important in this era.

The World Boxing Organization, which had Casimero as its previous bantamweight champion, is also not kind. According to its December top fifteen rating update, there is no Casimero. With his victory over Akaho and the fact that he has won titles in a variety of divisions, Casimero is still not listed in any major boxing organizations. If this man wanted to get a rating, he needs to keep fighting for the next months.  He can fight four times next year if becoming mandatory is the only way to get noticed by the champions. That will be impressive enough to compete against any champion the following year.

Even after the fact that Casimero had achieved titles in various divisions, the governing bodies are thinking that all of it was pointless because they are likely disappointed by what happened recently that led to the worse case scenario where Casimero had to be stripped by his belt. Now, he is back to zero where he have to make his name great again and climb throughout the ranks so that he will be given some points by the governing bodies to fight against the champion or to the mandatory challengers.
1578  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 28, 2022, 05:45:39 PM
Luka Doncic is magical! I don't think he is human.  Grin

A 9-point lead by the Knicks in regulation with 33 seconds left in the 4th quarter. Mavs trapped them every play, tied the game and they took it to overtime. That last shot by Luka was so unbelievable it will probably be in the best highlights forever. (including his reaction)
Overtime was mostly Mavs, they won it there.

Two weeks ago we saw Jokic join the legends with 40/27/10 and now here is Luka 60/21/10. A new record in NBA.

Good night Dallas.

It was an unbelievable game yet very impressive, after all it's Luka Magic.

The Dallas Mavericks intentionally let the New York Knicks dictate the game and own the whole 1st half while Luka and the others was just tailing closely and answering every shot that the other team made without taking the lead. It's like they are letting the Knicks thinking that they will own the whole game but the Mavs took the lead in the 2nd half up until the overtime.

Historical game. Can't really imagine that Luka is still a 23 years old.
1579  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco on: December 27, 2022, 08:13:49 PM
Well, the fight should take place on March 11 at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden arena in New York, but if it happened now. then I don't even know if Vasily would be able to resist Haney, first of all, of course, age plays against Lomachenco, and besides, Haney hasn't lost yet and I think the odds are 70/30 in his favor here.

While it's so good to agree on you mate, we still can't say that as we don't know what the future holds. I'm on Haney's side too because the kid gave a good impression on me ever since he surfaced from being an ordinary challenger to a champion and until he became the undisputed champion in the lightweight division, but that is not yet enough for me to speculate the same thing because Loma is still a veteran boxer who got a vast IQ inside the ring. But yes, in terms of upper hand, that goes to Haney.
1580  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: December 27, 2022, 07:27:01 PM
This is an embarassing exhibition fight for Manny in my opinion. Nevermind that he always show his A-Game everytimr he boxes, but the fact of the matter is that an elite boxer with so many titles and belts under his wing is so agreeing to fight an obscure YouTuber let alone someone who doesn't have boxing experience prior is what made the fans just throw a thumbs down on this one. At least with Jake and Mayweather we can accept that. The fact that Jake is a very successful star and influencer, with boxing experience to boot is what made the fight fun for the viewers. Manny vs. DK Yoo just looked like a one-sided after-school meet-me-behind-the-school battle.

Compare to Jake vs Mayweather, that's a pure exhibition match with no charity involved or something.

This exhibition fight between Pacquiao and DK Yoo does have a good purpose and you can search for where they will share part of their money.

As long as Manny will be involved in exhibition matches for a good reason and not just entertainment, should be no problem with that.

Manny Pacquiao on the other hand, he can always up his exhibition bouts in the future by fighting a much known boxer or fighter and I just don't get why he chose an unknown fighter on his 1st exhibition bout. That way, his purpose to donate in a charity will be maximized as the revenues that will be generated is far more greater than what they earned in their recent fight.

Maybe DK Yoo was the one who approach Manny on anyone from his camp and offer this exhibition fights. And we also think initially that Manny will not play into this whole exhibition matches and he will retire for good. But maybe he thinks of the positive thing that this kind of matches will bring, like the money raised for a good cause.

And now everyone is calling him, including Mundine and perhaps there will be more in the future including one of the Paul Brothers.

But let's wait because he has one already early next year in Saudi Arabia.
Exhibition fights do gradually becomes a trend specially into those legendary retired boxers we do have which we have seen on a couple or previous years like on Mike Tyson too where these fights income or results

is really that been donated into charities. Some do make out some questions or raised up some eyebrows whether these things are real or just simply an alibi just for them to make more money.

After this fight had been set out against Yoo and it was successful and put up some lots of interest then it wont be surprising that there would be already a next fight that it is already in line.
