Post amount and price, looking to buy a decent amount.
What is your exchange rate.

Whatever the average is of the exchanges, so in this case.. 0.00000095BTC per DVC.

It's just such a shame people do this, while it would've been so much fun if this was legit. Also, this ruins it for generous people like bit777, who actually helped him out, and I doubt he'd ever trust someone who does something like this again. It ruins peoples trust and ruins the fun. I hate it.
1570  Economy / Gambling / Re: PrimeDice.com | The New Way to Roll | Lowest House Edge (1%) | Instant Betting on: June 22, 2013, 08:56:04 PM
Just tried it, rolls vary from 5-10 seconds for me.
1571  Economy / Gambling / Re: PrimeDice.com | The New Way to Roll | Lowest House Edge (1%) | Instant Betting on: June 22, 2013, 07:11:44 PM
Gotta say after using your site im quite disappointed for many reasons

  • It takes nearly forever for a bet to happen
  • You have a maximum bid that doesn't work*
  • You cant go back and view older bets
  • You promise, Instant Deposits/Instant Withdrawals one of them is not instant. I dont care which you change but its quite clear having to wait for 4 confirmations to withdraw isnt instant. Yes I do understand this point because of people doublespending and all but dont claim its instant.
  • No API

Hey,

Thanks for your remarks, we're working on an overhaul of our back-end to fix most of these issues.

1. Rolls take about 2 seconds at this moment on my end, we're working on fixing the delay and making it consistent and 1 second or less.
2. It is a maximum payout not a maximum bet. At the moment the max pot/bet return is 10 BTC so you can bet 5 BTC on 2X odds at most currently. We're looking to raise this limit soon.
3. You can view older bets by clicking on your name on our inner page table and click "view all previous bets". Our developer was working on some fixes and messed this up temporarily this will be back very soon.
4. Withdrawals are instant on smaller transactions if you bet long enough for your deposit to reach 1 confirmation which happens most of the time, larger withdrawals take longer to prevent potential double-spends. We could potentially lower the # of confs though as I don't think 4 is necessary.
5. We have an API we just haven't made the page you can access all the information public yet, I'll get our dev on that as well.

Our developer is pretty back-logged on a lot of changes we need him to make which resulted in some of the things you mentioned. We're working on everything you mentioned and I'd like to thank you for your suggestions/comments.

My sincerest apologies if your experience was sub par, I'd like to hear more suggestions after we've finished the requested changes.

Best Regards,

Stunna

You didn't answer this however :

"*I was playing a 50/50 and simply doubling my bid everytime I won. Eventually I got to betting 8coins. So I pressed the button not thinking. I got a nice error saying its past the maximum bid and then it betting 4btc my previous bet anyways."

Is this a bug or do you simply have no limit for it?

1574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Devtome Advertising on: June 22, 2013, 10:25:05 AM
Is it possible to receive devcoins for translations into French, for example?
Not yet, primarily I think because there aren't enough people to be able to vet/edit any writings not in english. You can offer to translate from french to english, if anybody is interested in taking you up on it:  http://devtome.com/doku.php?id=devtome_translators

Also, internet advertising pays more for English articles, and we would have to set up sub wikis for each language.

..
There are plans to:
(1) incorporate a better validation system.
..

(2) build in revenue from page views and advertising. Done properly this should at least supplement (1) and perhaps as you say even supplant it further in the future, as well as giving an exchange bid to dvc.
..

We've been trying to get advertising for several months, but I've been told there is no good bitcoin advertising network. Adsense is good, but because the IRS is persecuting people:
http://www.mercatornet.com/sheila_liaugminas/view/12348

I prefer to have someone outside of the US get an adsense account.

Could someone out of the US please offer an adsense account for devtome? Whoever handles the adsense account would get 10% of the revenue. Right now devtome probably gets around half a million page views per month, so that would be a couple of hundred dollars a month of advertising.

Out of US here, Netherlands. I could do it if you want.

So, are we ever getting that free 0.0001 BTC thingy back?

Doubt it, bots pretty much ruined that.

Hahaha-ha-ha.. I have a funny story to tell ._.

It was a beautiful day, around the 6th of June, I was sitting in the kitchen with my brother, my laptop had just broken down, when I was planning to buy tickets. Having no wallet availible at that time, I was like "Hey, could you buy them for me real quick?" And he did. And there I was happily waiting, when I got the news I won later, I was happy, however in my new wallets, there was no money! In shock and panic I contaced all the people I knew about this, and no luck whatsoever. Puzzled and angered at the loss of 0.5BTC, I was clueless. Days later, after accepting my loss, my brother starts up his Electrum to see if anything happened, and suddenly he spoke the words "Hey, there's 0.53BTC in here!", And I responded, "Huh, that's stra- Oh. Shit." And as I explained, I sighed having to post this here. So there I was, happy as shit about finding the 0.53BTC, and now I am here, telling you a story to make it sound better, that, I, Boelens made quite the mistake. So, I received the money and all is good, and I apologize for any accusations.

*hopes this can be laughed off within one week*

Curious what is going to happen with...
