Tl;DR from me, i might be wrong

- Segwit 2X got canceled
- High fees issue got no solution due to (2X canceled, meaning no more 2MB block size upgrade from 1MB)
- Best alternatives for this High fees issue = BCH - 8MB Block size + No Segwit (There are people who are against segwit)
- Thus, BCH price got increased and meaning mining BCH become profitable too
- Mining BCH is now profitable which lead people to switch from Mining BTC to Mining BCH
- Hence, This turn out tons of transaction stuck in the Mem Pool of the BTC Network
- Transaction stuck, Slow transaction speed = Congested Network with very high fees payment to pass a transaction
- Not taking risk, switch to BCH

It started off from Bithumb so i expect koreans? + Massive shill of BCH after Segwit2X canceled because of the transaction fees.

BCH offers 8MB + No Segwit, so... one starts and everyone go

Since Segwit2x is canceled, we would not have our 2MB Block, which means transactions will remain expensive.

Thus, this makes people think that Bitcoin Hash which doesn't have "Segwit" activated and has 8MB Block size the solution to all these.

So what is the current ongoing development/plan for Bitcoin?

If you already have ETH, waves is always the choice that you should be getting.
To be honest, i have no idea why is Waves not $50 yet.

It has a constant developing team
It has a fix supply that is circulating in the network
It has a working platform and DEX
It has a good community and supporter
It has a lot of events and conferences

Airdrops is basically a way, that you are giving users free coins to promote/attract or create awareness for a new project.

It has recently be a good way to actually attracts users. Even airdropping 5-10% amount of the total coins, it is still able to attract a lot of people

I am not sure about the effect of cancellation on Segwit2x as the fees is an issue now.
However for parity, it does affect quite a number of people who uses the multi sig wallet.
Especially the largest holder within the locked funds - Polkadot.

IMO, i think the amount should be unlocked in the upcoming Hard Fork in January. These funds gotta be released because people who uses the wallet wanted their coins to be "safe", not just gone

Binance is a really huge one, they picked up kinda fast compare to other exchange.
