161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you invest 60 BTC? on: November 01, 2019, 04:54:32 PM
I will convert half of 60BTC to fiat, with this amount of money I will be able to support my lifestyle for several years since I'm not from a first-world country and I can even start a real-life business which is trend these days or invest some on stock markets then hold the remaining 30BTC for at least 5-10 years from now.
162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the difference between altcoin and bitcoin ?? on: November 01, 2019, 02:22:09 PM
No offense mate but what are you asking is a little bit broad. Did you even try first to make a research about it? I advice you to do it own your own first because some of the members here don't tolerate spoonfeeding Grin.

Anyway, let me give my own answer for your question. Bitcoin and altcoins both fall as cryptocurrency. Let's just say that btc is the pioneer and the rest is a copycat Grin (but some of them really got interesting features tho which btc don't have).

I think OP is not a newbie because the first 2 post he/she made is joining a bounty campaign which makes me think that OP has idea about Bitcoin and altcoin. Some people are too lazy to do a quick research about cryptocurrency but so eager to earn some bucks within this space, I hope this kind of habits will change.
163  Economy / Economics / Re: What should I convert my money into? on: November 01, 2019, 01:44:00 PM
Upon reviewing post history of OP, I think he/she is now determined to invest money on Bitcoin based on OP's previous thread about Buying $150 worth Bitcoin every week and currently looking for a long term partnership. Therefore I think OP might have the idea about the risk and reward in Bitcoin investment so the only advise I could give is don't let FUD's affect his/her belief about Bitcoin, have some patience, hold and trust the process.
164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will DEX's ever get the liquidity and volume of Centralized Exchanges today? on: November 01, 2019, 12:52:22 PM
dex is the future of exchange
and maybe in the future Dex will surpass the liquidity and volume on centralized exchange in this day, i believe that

Basically in terms of exchanges, Centralized are more secured that's why people keep on trusting it. In my opinion, DEX is also performing well, it is just in the matter of volume of trades that makes it different from centralized exchanges.

here are some known, and performing DEX in the market.
https://hackernoon.com/top-10-decentralized-crypto-exchanges-for-a-successful-proofofkeys-in-2019-478dc38cff7a

Centralized exchange have built trust form its users which is why people keep using it even though they knew that CEX are attractive for hackers as long as they continue to secure their platform then I guess people will not shift to DEX given that it has low trading volume and have poor user-interface.
165  Economy / Speculation / Re: some people love imagining doomsday when there is any drops! on: November 01, 2019, 12:25:51 PM

what happened? price started a tiny rise then the FOMO kicked in pushing the price back up. guess who was FOMOing? Wink
Im expecting for some u-turn of words on here  Grin. I actually laugh in front of my pc when i do able to read up some speculations

that we would head down to 4k after they do saw that the price plummets on 7k level and now we do see almost 9k price in a short time.
Wondering on what would be their new speculations as of this moment.

Whether we like it or not there will always be people like that whose been so confident speculating this and that but when they see a small rise then they are the first ones who do FOMOing, I just can’t understand them. Anyways, I guess they need to study more before doing or saying anything because it just made them look stupid.

There are two reasons why I think they are doing this, maybe they're really angy with the modern technology because they think it will affect the status of their current business or they want the Bitcoin price to fall so they can buy it cheap and eventually benefit from it when the price goes up.
166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH vs ADA on: November 01, 2019, 11:53:15 AM
For me both of them are worth to hold so instead of converting all your ADA to ETH why not diversify them to reduce the risk, with this kind of strategy the only worst case scenario I can think of is that the rewards will be minimize if only one of them goes up but at least you didn't invest and hold for nothing.
167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for your feedback! on: November 01, 2019, 11:24:26 AM
Exchange platform is not a new idea so you must have unique features that you can offer to the users and add it on your main landing page to attract more people to use your platform. I do like your idea of getting feedback on this forum before launching your project but you must know that new exchange these days have trust issues so I was thinking if you will publicly show the team behind this project?
168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you involved with Crypto? on: October 31, 2019, 06:28:31 PM
I think most of us here have discovered cryptocurrency because we knew in the first place that we could generate money using the new technology and as time goes by our views have changed. As for me I feel so much freedom using cryptocurrency and I also feel that I am rich because I have my owned bank!
169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Happens If China Bans Bitcoin Mining? on: October 31, 2019, 02:30:10 PM
It's very possible that Bitcoin price and network will take some impact once China ban Bitcoin mining since they are consider to be one of the worlds largest mining farms, but I bet that the effect will not last too long because miners will just shift to a new country that is Bitcoin friendly to continue doing their business. I have read on some articles that the countries like Canada, Switzerland and United States will be the best option for Chinese miners.
170  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is this OKEx Site is it safe? on: October 31, 2019, 01:09:13 PM
I am rather familiar with crypto trading and trade once so every often, but recently I found this new website called OKEx and some of my fellow trading friends are using it. Is it safe to trade in it? I worry whether my friends are safe when they trade.

I think it is safe exchange. Yes it is new, but I have see the transparency of this exchange, and I think couple of months ago they are having a conference I dont know if it is in Honkong or Singapore, I have some friends who are an ambassador of it, I think if something happens we can directly ask them since there is a regional ambassador everywhere.

Okex is not a new exchange, in fact it is one of the most reputable exchange in the crypto industry. I've made a few trades on their platform way back 2018 and never had any issue so therefore I could say that the exchange is safe, if OP is not convince then he/she can do some research about Okex via google.

You can find information like this one:

In May 2018, the exchange became the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange by reported turnover.

171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I need your advice! on: October 31, 2019, 11:14:21 AM
OP you should check their ANN read page 1-3 about question project, trusted member try to ask many question and a couple answer is not show anything good, this project more like MLM, if you still want to invest better to make invest in fund that your afford to lose.

You were right because after checking their ANN thread there are lot of legitimate question from trusted members of this forum that was not addressed properly which is why I'm very skeptical about this project even though they are very active in social media platform due to the hype of their proposal on Binance DEX. Maybe OP can start researching about verifying their partners because they claimed to be in partnership with Klaytn, GroundX and Kakaocorp.
172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Promoting ICO scams on: October 31, 2019, 10:10:15 AM
If these sites just go for some verification before promoting these scams, it would be very good for the visitors. Verification can include Mobile verification, Identity verification etc. These sites are an open image of crypto, if these sites just reduce their earned money by a bit and plan for long term then it would be beneficial for all of us.

Seriously, that's business and they don't care whether they're advertising scam projects or not. They'll just reason out that they're not affiliated to all of those and we should invest at our own risk.

And not surprising anymore as they're still being paid to fake trading volumes.

Money really run the world.  Roll Eyes

Indeed, same way as what most exchanges are doing. They dont care about the project they are always after the money, the more money they will get when projects or campaigns are being given to them they will not make an investigation first . Also some ICO rating site before are the same! The will advertize ICO whether it is scam or not as long as they will provide a kyc and money of course which is big, they will advertize it.

This is why crypto investors should not believe easily on any crypto advertisement that they see on the internet and always do a proper research before investing. As for the community, we should expose and spread awareness about the bad practice of this companies who advertise scam projects, with this we can ruin their reputation and might to the right thing in the future.
173  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BEWARE of Telegram Groups you have been added unwillingly!!!!! on: October 30, 2019, 02:22:12 PM
In my opinion, most of scam happen on telegram after ICO scam. There was a time once ICO's are scammed us, but now so many scammers are active on telegram. Sometimes even me receiving same like spam and usually I report them and skip. But problem is about greedy people, they can't control their greed when they see some greedy offers. That's how scammer gain on their spam attacks. Telegram is only one social media that chosen by huge number of scammer. Main reason is totally anonymity. So click on unknown link would hack you as well. We should more careful about Telegram scam. Everyday scammers are finding new way to scam us. We should not give them that opportunity. Once you will discover that someone unknowingly added you any group, just better to report spam and leave. So almost you can say that your are safe. Don't be greedy then no one could save you.

Telegram became a widely used media platform in crypto-space and also one of the tools for scammers to find their new victims. Telegram has a very good feature where they are so quick on banning a user if someone reported him/her as spammer or scammer but what I dislike in telegram is that scammer keep coming back because it was too easy to create an account using fake mobile number to verify their registration.
174  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Some essential trading rules beginners! on: October 30, 2019, 10:25:59 AM
This points are indeed helpful I'm actually new here and my inttention is to focus fully on trading coming across those points just give me some inserts about some possible risk and what to do to limit them. I was actually thinking of selling a landed property but with what I see here its not advisable thanks for this brief information.

That is not voice idea dude, do not focus in crypto trading because already many traders lost their funds and mood out for investment kind of businesses.
Well if you want to try the trading still without any hesitation, please take some time to learn trading strategies and then you can invest for day trading.

Why discourage him/her to do crypto trading? don't you think its good to have people like him/her who wants to learn and understand the risk involve in crypto trading. Let me remind you that traders plays a big part on this industry because they are one of the reason why we have a lively market so for me its a good thing to have more active traders in crypto-space.
175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What have you done to promote the Blockchain technology & cryptocurrencies? on: October 30, 2019, 09:16:28 AM
On my side I have been promoting Blockchain technology & cryptocurrency by working with my friend to conduct various events in school universities because we believe that these young generation will be the key for mass adoption, it's like planting a seed on their young minds so when they became adults then they are full knowledgable about cryptocurrency and how to use it for their own benefits.
176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHY DOES BOUNTY PROJECTS TAKE TIME TO ENTER A MARKET on: October 30, 2019, 08:51:04 AM
Everything is simple. The vast majority of projects that conduct bounty companies do not raise enough funds. In this regard, they simply do not have enough resources to implement the project and enter the exchange. And those who still manage to enter the exchange instantly receive a price drain from investors or bounty hunters if the capitalization is very small.

This is the common reason why projects can't list their token on exchange after token sale since they have a limited budget, the project owner chooses to use the funds for development instead of spending it on listing in a good exchange. Other possible reason is that they intentionally delay the listing to avoid price dump or maybe conduct another round of token sale to gather more funds.
177  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do we still expect a repeat of 2017 ? on: October 29, 2019, 03:26:00 PM
Just expect that more positive things will happen on Bitcoin and forget about the timeline of when the new ATH will happen because I'm pretty sure that no one can accurately point it out since the market is very unpredictable, let's just hope that Bitcoin become more popular globally so that the next generation will also benefits from the usefulness of its technology.
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why will you invest in something you know nothing about? on: October 29, 2019, 02:29:03 PM
Invite their friends to invest in projects that are recommended to have the goal of getting benefits from the referral program. Projects that are followed usually provide additional tokens for anyone who invites others by using a special referral link that already exists. But as a smart investor, you must conduct an analysis before deciding to participate in the project so that it is not in vain

Referral program is very tempting that is why sometimes I introduce a project to my friends that I think its worthy but I never force them to invest because I don't want them to blame me if things go sideways. It's like I'm giving them some signals and its their duty to make a thorough research before investing since its their own money.
179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People are to be blame for what happened to them on the internet on: October 29, 2019, 01:40:50 PM
There is no need to put blame on anyone. Rather, they should be thought on what to do or how to correct their mistakes, so that they do not repeat the same thing. They got convinced in their ignorance. Had it been they knew the right thing to do, they would have done it.

I also don't see any positive outcomes if people keep blaming themselves for their failures instead of moving-on and learn from their past mistakes. People just need to be more careful whenever they transact on the internet especially on crypto-space because its been a tool for people who have bad intention to find their new victims.

180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 17,800,000 BTC already mined on: October 29, 2019, 12:49:14 PM
I wonder if mining will pay off when the Bitcoin block reward is halved? It seems to me that the electricity and the price of equipment will exceed the payback

Good question, based on the previous halving which happened last 2012 & 2016 the price of Bitcoin always went up and creates new ATH at least one year after the halving and I think this is one of reason why miners continue to mined Bitcoin because they still see it as profitable. With regards of electricity consumption there are mining hardware already that is available in the market which is cost efficient and I bet they will continue to improve these in the future.
