161  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: [MEGATHREAD] Pilipinas Coronavirus/COVID-19 Thread on: July 26, 2020, 12:55:42 PM

Quote
The five provinces with the highest number of new cases were Metro Manila with 1,345, Cebu with 304, Laguna with 109, Negros Occidental with 66, and Rizal with 40.
Source: https://www.gmanetwork.com/news/news/nation/748532/philippines-logs-over-2-000-covid-19-cases-for-4th-straight-day/story/

If this still continues -- 2,000 daily confirmed cases. I'm afraid, we will reached 100k mark in no time   Embarrassed, sa tingin ko mga first week of August. Nakakapangamba kasi 'yong isang area dito sa may amin naglockdown ulit dahil sa spike nung mga nag-positive. But then again, 'yong government natin... still have no clear plan para ma-lessen na 'to.

And as usual, stay safe y'all.

The more likely scenario is someone opening it up to find a confetti of shattered metal.

Probably, since hard drives were pretty sensitive  Undecided.

I couldn't imagine the reaction of his grandpa if he found 'bout that tool holder he has would be able to buy him a decent garage whole new garage.

What a waste  Sad. I feel bad just like anybody else here. But that's it, just move on, if nothing else?, so if OP can find a way to recover those stuff which I doubt would be possible given the scenario, then great. Well on a second thought, there was no rush on getting hold of some BTC again, in the first place  Wink.
163  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 20-Year-Old Robinhood Customer Dies By Suicide After Seeing A $730,000 Negative on: July 25, 2020, 01:25:13 PM
It is always sad when someone's dies, it is even more sad when someone dies way too young, and it is even sadder when someone so young takes their own life. Dude probably had some sort of personal problems as well with his emotions, after all not everyone who loses money goes out and commits suicide, most of them just continue to live and somehow find a way to pay it back or if not even go to jail or get their things possessed or whatever happens but usually doesn't commit suicide as the first thing in their mind.

This dude probably had some psychological problems way before any of this happened, and when he reached to this much debt he couldn't saw a way out and a way for a good life and instead of living a life where he pays debt until he dies and has a horrible life because of it, he decided to end it instead.

He took what was been displayed wrong. Yeah, this might be the most unfortunate incident. Because he took his own life out of dismay of what was being showed, in which, apparently he had not in the first place.

And yeah, he might have some problem prior to the incident, I couldn't believe that money (in his perspective) weighs more than his own existence  Undecided. And to add, he's not the type of guy that fits in such industry, neither to spineless people. They easily get bothered with those circumstances, and would dare to commit morally wrong behavior  Undecided.
164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do hackers steal huge amounts of bitcoins? on: July 25, 2020, 10:28:53 AM
If they are smart enough to steal those huge amounts, they are probably also smart enough to hide their tracks too.

I'd bet that they'll find a way to cash them out.

Exactly! They won't set their foot into dirty doings without knowing their way out. It is not like, they are letting themselves get caught in the end, so what's the point of stealing if they won't get the chance to use it  Undecided.

As majority said, this bitcoin mixers thing would come into play. So, if you want to know what bitcoin mixers are, then.
Here's the thread for you:

165  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin Loophole? on: July 24, 2020, 04:34:56 PM
Update: still seeing a lot of advertisements using the same guy Carlos Dominguez III from different facebook accounts, I reported some them already.

I'm just curious, was it because I click a link before, so I keep seeing more ads like that?
How to completely stop seeing these ads?

Perhaps, it was because of that. Not sure, kabayan pero feeling ko may kinalaman 'yan sa cookies. You can read 'bout it naman under legal and policies.

Here's the process para mabasa mo 'yong about doon:

Code:
Facebook -> Menu -> Settings -> Cookies Policy.

Now to clear it (not permanently), punta ka again sa settings then click off-facebook activity then i-clear mo lahat ng pu-pwede i-clear doon, and i-clear mo rin 'yong data or 'yong cookies sa fb application itself, same thing sa browser na nagamit mo nung nabuksan mo 'yong link. And one more thing, turn-off mo na lang rin 'yong future off-facebook activity mo.

Not sure kabayan ah, 'yan lang alam ko  Cheesy. To stop it completely, then better if iiwasan mo 'yong pag-ki-click sa mga ganiyang ads para 'di mo na sila mae-encounter again and again.
166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 24, 2020, 07:53:43 AM
- Players' bench area is three rows of socially distanced seats for players when they are not on the floor.
Why would they even distance them if after every quarters or a good dunk they will get close and do handshakes and other things?

Exactly! Not to mention, that they're going to bump each other again on the floor. Dunno... but I think, they'll change such set-up soon?

- The usual chant or music of the home-team will be heard on the game. Yes, even playing in the same arena, there are still home and away teams as usual.
Which is cool. They still want the home team to feel at home. But, it looks like it doesn't work.  Grin

It is just kind of funny though. Have you guys seen Heat vs Sacramento highlights? They did flash defense chant of miami heat fans on the screen.

Here's the clip from NBA on ESPN:
https://www.facebook.com/31881783642/posts/10158977781793643/

Strange, it is. Do you guys think if such thing is really effective  Huh

To sum it up.
The players did good.
They played like it was a real game already and not a scrimmage. That's the good thing about this.

It would turn into intense match-up later on specially for those teams vying for the eight spot. Well, I'm really glad, that they look like, they didn't lost their touch on the game.

Bump ko lng to dahil hanggang ngayon ay running pa dn ang forsage at madami pa dn naloloko nila. Hayssss
Same case with me, ang daming tao ang nadadale ng ganitong pamamaraan. I can still see many posts sa social media especially facebook na nanghihikayat sila ng members ng forsage and maraming naaattract, sila yung mga taong walang sa cryptocurrency.

Up until now? Sa may area namin wala na, I haven't seen anyone on my friends posting anything related to forsage simula nung umusbong 'tong babala. Kaya mukhang nag-work naman dito.

Not really sure on how SEC would handle the situation diyan, pero given na they still operate despite the warning being imposed then something must be checked.

Report niyo, kabayan. Here's SEC contact info:

168  Economy / Speculation / Re: Living with parents again could fuel the next Bitcoin bull run. on: July 23, 2020, 02:46:33 PM
But, this will only be applicable to people who can live with their parents and be welcomed.
Also, we have different lifestyles so it might not work for everyone. You don't know what you or your parents could say when shit happens.
You won't like being on that position especially when you are old enough to think for yourself.

Exactly! I'm going to get kicked out right away for having a such dumb reason. You know... savin' myself financially isn't their thing anymore. It is my responsibility alone specially if they were already done supporting your studies. I mean, you have all the necessary stuff; diploma and skills to make yourself a living. So, bothering them is kind of disrespectful, imo  Undecided  dunno 'bout you guys... but that's what the culture I grew up with.

I just don't understand the connection with bitcoin. Saving money to buy for bitcoin? Is that it?

I think, that's what he's trying to imply here Huh
169  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID-19's "New Normal" is Creating Opportunities in Crypto on: July 23, 2020, 09:09:34 AM
In my case, I was able to improve, and published my craft online (By the way, I'm into art industry). Getting clients who could pay me using crypto is kind of rare though somehow, I was able to accumulate even a little. But whatever, the thing is, I had get the chance to make myself even more better, as I am not as very occupied as I am before.

I was lucky, since this is the industry I was enjoying on doing the most even though it is very exhausting. Now am getting paid for my crafts. I couldn't be more happy than this  Cheesy. (Haven't opened my service here yet but I think, soon, I would).

Many crypto related scams are sprouting here in our country. The scammers are taking advantage of fhe current situation where most of people are staying at their homes and only depending on online jobs/investments to keep their living. *sigh Like Forsage, this one scammed many people here. Stay away from it.

Yeah, and there are still going on despite SEC's warning. What's worse is that, similar thing like forsage is coming out of a blue. Look here. Just indicates how desperate those scammers are, and what measures they had to do for a living  Undecided.
170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 23, 2020, 04:37:15 AM
It looks like the Minnesota Timberwolves has been made available for sale by their owner Glen Taylor. There have been rumors that there is a chance that the team might relocate to Seattle if some suitors will be interested buying it but the current owner of the Timberwolves had made it clear that his only condition was to make the Timberwolves stay at Minnesota so the only clear options named right now is either the Wilf brothers or their former player, Kevin Garnett. The former one might be the likely candidate for the takeover as they are also the owners of the Minnesota Vikings which might make Taylor be confident that the team will really stay in the state.
Kind of in a jumble now.
Before, it was Seattle SuperSonics and then moved to Oklahoma.
Now, they might get Timberwolves.
So, it will become Seattle Timberwolves? It doesn't sound right.  Grin
Better use the old name.

Wait, what the heck!??  Grin. Yeah... it doesn't feel right. I dunno, but it really sound different. Yeah, better use the old name or much better something related to the city's history.

Well, anyway, it is cool to see Supersonics team back in the league again (if this would really happen), and at the same time it is sad if Timberwolves team would completely vanish. I mean, the name of the team itself, not the roster though  Grin.

Even if Zion completes that 8 game tournament it will be Ja Morant.
If Zion wins, NBA just proved there is deep politics in the damn management.
There is nothing to consider anymore or if they do, they will lose a lot of fans.
Fairness is still better than just making money.
Ja worked hard for it putting the Grizzlies in the 8th rank.

Yeah, there's nothing much to talk about between the two. Their race for ROTY were already finished even Zion had already played his remaining regular season game. Effort, and impact to the team wise? Ja is on the edge here. We won't even be able to see a good, competitive Grizzlies if you would take out Ja on the roster, just my two cents   Tongue.
171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally some justice, scammer sent to jail at South Korea. on: July 22, 2020, 11:55:53 AM
The measure is to sentence the scammer and then seize his assets.

As far as the damage they did goes - it is not fair, not even seizing his assets, imo. Besides, there's no assurance if this guy won't ever do the same thing after serving his sentence in prison  Undecided. You know... he might return with another name, identity or whatsoever considering the mastermind behind the operation he had worked with still remain uncaught.

You why? Most of the prison isn't fair, I have watch some youtube videos concerning prisons, where prisoners often have privileges because of their wealth. But this doesn't holistically saying that most prisons will have this tolerance, but to make sure that things will be fair, if these people scammed or conducted fraud using cryptocurrency, the authorities could actually return the fund of the victims by tracing the transactions made by the scammer. I think this is the best justice victims could have, not just putting the culprit in jail for years.

But yeah, I couldn't deny this possibility either  Sad. It is just sad to know that critical matter like this wasn't properly dealt in a right way.
172  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Twitter Accounts Hacked & Used to Scam People on: July 22, 2020, 08:38:29 AM
I just saw MrBeast's twitter getting hacked too.

Is this thing still going on? I have read that twitter had already took those tweet down. And they already prevent verified accounts from posting temporarily, right?

He is known to be a huge Youtuber and known for donating huge amount to streamers and do other stuffs that usually tell people how much money he has. People would really fall for this especially those people that know MrBeasts since its his nature to be that kind of guy. Twitter should really improve their security and I hope that no one fell for this.

Yeah, this guy is a bit different among the list of those who get hacked, he's more of a generous guy. However, I don't think Mr.Beast would ask you to donate first before giving you back. Besides, what's the sudden interest to crypto though? He's mostly known for giving away cash.
173  Economy / Economics / Re: Business / private sector is dead on: July 21, 2020, 01:25:17 PM
No, they aren't dead. That's quite normal in this situation, imo, some companies haven't been fully operating yet hence, some employees had to be off more than what's usual, not to mention that they are now experiencing a salary cut which leads to various events, like they have set aside buying unnecessary stuff, and those stuff you mentioned.

Anyway, here, in my country (PH) have been in similar situation, fortunately, after months of lockdown where the collapse of some businesses have been witnessed, now things are seemingly getting back to normal although, it wasn't the same as before wherein customers are congested inside a popular shop or whatever kind of store.

I can say it adds more pressure.
Well, that is if Kawhi do know the word "pressure".
Looking at his facial expression, I doubt that.  Grin

Well, at least he knew how to laugh LOL.

It's still too early to think of the next goat but I guess many will agree to me if I say that Giannis could reach a certain high for his career. He's still young and there's more to improve and experience to gain.

He can, I have no doubts about his potential. However, he need to make sure to avoid injuries that would ruined most of his career or worse his entire journey. You know... maintaining a healthy, and robust body (like what Bron did) is just as important as chasing after the ring, records, fame, and whatnot.

I hope we can see him play until he is 40 years old. where most of the NBA players concluded their careers.
Playing still at this stage and still have the same intensity or still have the same passions with agilities to convert. It's really remarkable once done.

I cannot say that it is not likely to happen 'cause he got a pretty healthy, and well-built body. With his maintenance, he might even be able to play long enough to catch up with his eldest son.

LeBron James set another record Saturday night when his 2003-04 Upper Deck rookie card sold for $1.845 million at Goldin Auctions.

How about that?! We are in pandemic and he is still alive.  Grin
Lebron's autographs price is going to be expensive in 20 more years.
How about his rookie shoes? Where are they? Gotta find it!

It's the most expensive basketball card ever purchased and the priciest trading card of any kind in the modern era (since 1980).

What??? Is their interest with a mere card worth something like that? I mean, they could've spend that huge amount of money with something more valuable, isn't it? Or maybe, perhaps these rich folks doesn't know where to spend their money anymore  Grin.

Now I'm getting into interest collecting Luka's card, now that it can be bought around a hundred to hundred and twenty bucks on Amazon. Who knows he might be as worth as Bron's later on, that's a huge deal LOL.

Kawhi? Yeah, a lot of analyst are still looking for that reason for him to be called as one of the GOAT's.
He needs 1 more win to prove it and this must be the time.

Gonna be tough for him, now that there are bunch of promising players. But I'm sure he can, he got his own skills he just need to be paired with a decent roster.

7. Charles Barkley – $800,000 on a $500,000 bet

Did Charles Barkley make this legendary bet when he was with the Suns or the Sixers? Grin

Neither of the two. He made this bet back in '02 though, and he is for about 2 years retired player already in the league back in that time. Here's the source, man.

How would you do that guys? do you consistently bet on parlay with big odds?

Sure it gives you a big win but it always come with a big risk as well, reaching a point of not getting anything at all. That's why I'm not fond of such ideology, I don't like it, even if the odds are that appealing. Not putting much of a thought, I just don't wanna go home empty. One more thing, bear in mind, that circumstances might turned the opposite.

I was going to say the same thing but I'm kind of late LOL  Cheesy.

It is most likely these two personalities will eat their dick now if they are serious with their statement (but probably not)... Cheesy
Eh, no. He's not going to do it. He's just an all talk guy you would see around the internet specially in social media platforms.

Quoting the previous comment for you to see the source:
And he already backs down from his own bet (source).

It was that year 2017 the market surge to the highest peak and most of us think that it continues to move higher as it could be their basis of being hyped and think $500k is achievable. And I was thinking that also but I wasn't that very speculative and thinking much as it is out from the real possible case scenario. We can possibly be wrong and that is what it happens to both of them.

Tell you what, those predictions thing they carried out are just nothing. Yeah, we can speculate, and all but it won't matter at the end of the day. Bitcoin's nature is what it makes unforseeable the same way why it became a very interesting thing for most specially last 2017.

However, it would be hard to get into match shape when everyone already played 10 games and you are just coming in.
Correct, it's hard for someone who just came in to condition well, while others are already playing and already catching the rhythm.

Harrell might lose a lot of minutes. Either way, he can still gear up himself for a while as their games isn't in a daily basis, am I right? Well I just hope he would still be able to play as tough as he did previously, 'cause he is a significant player for his team to win though. Not to mention that playoffs is a pretty solid game, that's why he is really need to be on the floor.

Dunno 'bout Zion but he needs to get back as quickly as possible. Now that, Pelicans have to put a real battle for similar teams vying for the 8th spot  Grin.
180  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: [MEGATHREAD] Pilipinas Coronavirus/COVID-19 Thread on: July 18, 2020, 03:20:14 PM
Siya kasi mismo nag-utos sa mismong NBI na i-examine lahat ng posts tungkol sa kanya. Some of it are just criticism and sa tingin ko hindi naman ata okay ipatawag yung student dahil crinitiscize niya yung senador na yon. The fact that people's money ang kanilang kinikita, they should accept criticism kung may nakikitang mali ang mga tao. Pero may iilan nga diyan na sobrang below the belt na memes and posts pero can't blame those people kasi sila rin yung mga naaagrabyado sa desisyon ng gobyerno. Also, nawawala ang pagiging professional, if a simple post sa social media affects them, mas lalo siguro in personal baka may hindi magandang mangyari.

To summarize - he's just pathetic. Of all people na nakaka-receive ng hate or nang mas malala pa na accusations siya pa talaga nag-dare magpa-examine ng mga ganyan. What a bum!

Anytime soon ite-take down rin nilang 'tong implementation nila. Preventive measure against virus infection? More like hanap aksidente lang e   Undecided.

There were reports na nag-cause na ng accident 'to though I'm not sure if 'yong narrative is certain kasi 'di ko nabalitaan 'to sa gma nor nakita sa ibang news outlet.

Here's the post:

If gagamit kayo make sure 'yong 'di masyado makakaapekto sa hangin, 'yong barrier ata na gawa ng angkas is effective against wind. Nonetheless, ingat sa ride as always.

Almost 15k confirmed cases away na lang tayo to reach 80k @plvbob0070. And yet almost 2 weeks pa bago matapos ang July. I'm afraid we might even surpass 90k kung patuloy na ganito 'yong dagdag. Pero h'wag naman sana.
