162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Metamask Reaches One Million Users on: February 15, 2020, 12:26:29 PM
Metamask surpassed 1million users, as the Ethereum market price pump to 300$ and the market cap is back to 30million $.

The ethereum transactions was double from 400,000 to 800,000 transactions a day.

Reference:
https://www.trustnodes.com/2020/02/14/metamask-reaches-one-million-users

It's no surprise metamask would reach these number of users. As a user of metamask, I really think that the application is very useful in adding protection when transacting with your crypto wallet. Being able to get notified when somebody is accessing your crypto wallet provides a bit of confidence.
163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why most of ALTCOINS are dead or worthless? on: February 14, 2020, 03:57:40 PM
I think there are a lot of reasons why many altcoins becomes worthless or dead right now. Some projects did not meet their required capital during ICO or IEO so maybe admin abandoned the project. Market situation lately is bearish causing investors to stay away from crypto investment.
164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facts about mining Coins on: February 14, 2020, 02:09:21 PM
Cryptocurrency mining, especially bitcoin, is one of the most rewarding way to acquire crypto before since the market was not yet saturated by many miners. But now it is a different story. With so many mining farms right now with powerful setup, it is impractical to compete with them. The cost of the setup, electricity, and the scarcity of the available bitcoins, makes mining less rewarding. Since then I have abandoned my mining setup and concentrated to day trading instead.
165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Recommend me good altcoins! on: February 14, 2020, 01:22:40 PM
So guys, recommend me some good altcoins, and also explain why.
My wishlist currently:
Kucoin Shares
Huobi Token
BNB
Cardano
Ethereum
Litecoin
Tezos
Tron
Dash
Wanchain

Some lower marketcap coins are welcome!

You a good list of crypto wishlist  their. You can go wrong with them as they are also top coins in cryptomarketcap and I think have proven their place and stability in the market. I would also add chainlink (LINK) and iexec RLC in the list. They are the coins that I feel would be bullish this year. I am trying to get hold a good volume of them.
166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Anyone still earning with bounties? on: February 13, 2020, 01:24:36 PM
Hi,

I didn't get any valuable tokens for several months in bounties (even the promised tokens without any value) .

Are you still earning money with them or just a few bucks (which is not worth to bother)?

In 2017 and 2018, it was so profitable. Now, what is the situation?

Should I start again?

I am still doing some bounty hunting right now. But unfortunately, most of the rewards I get is very low in value. Missing those times when bounty hunting is a very attractive and rewarding activity. But I hoping that this year will be different. The market is somewhat changing to bullish situation and hopefully big bounty rewards would go with it.
167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We are only rich on spreadsheets on: February 13, 2020, 10:38:37 AM
Yes, that's what bounties these days make us. They show us big big rewards on their spreadsheets but the real values of those rewards they offer us are sometimes not even up to $5 on the market. I feel bounty hunters are only being used as baits by project owners to catch their investors virtually for free. What do you think guys ?

Said but that's true. Bounty hunting is not a very rewarding undertaking nowadays. Most of the time, the efforts you exert in doing bounty tasks are not paid back equally since the value of the coins you received from your stakes is very low. Hoping that this situation will change as the market becomes bullish this pass days.
168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: As a Bounty hunter, don't expect too much on: February 13, 2020, 10:14:02 AM
Often timw, i have seen lots of Bounty hunters complain about inability to sell their earned rewards simply because it dumped massively and got de listed or wasted away or died.

But I feel otherwise, some Bounty hunters expect too much from project they worked for and got few tokens, so instead of taking profits, they hold and end up earning nothing, then they claim the project is scam.

Stop working for free
Don't expect too much profits from projects.

NB: Taking profits does not literally mean dumping tokens, for examples, i earned 4,500,000 cyfm then worth over 200$
Today it worths less than 10$.

Always dyor

I can relate and oftentimes fall victim of my being greedy. I tend to hold my bounty rewards eventhough the equivalent is substantial enough because I was hoping that the project would prosper and eventually make it big in the market. Only to realize that its value went down very low or the project was eventually abandoned. so right now, even if the stakes is not high, I right away exchange the tokens. Better salvage any value for my effort than not having anything in the end.
169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what solutions do make to cover Loss on: February 12, 2020, 04:32:34 PM
You can do nothing about your loss but to let it go. Better learn from the experience and try not to repeat same mistakes. day trading, if you have time, would help you slowly but surely, will let you gradually recover your lost assets. Just make sure you are trading on stable cryptos. You can also invest in IEO or ICo but just make sure that they are legit ones. Just do some research before investing.
170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Keep your assets safe as the Bull run draws nearer on: February 09, 2020, 03:29:24 PM
Dear bounty hunters, and traders in the house. The year 2020 has been positive and we have been experiencing price surge lately.

We look forward to even more price surge or a bull run in the coming weeks, but do not lose guard while using exchange platform to trade.
Always withdraw your assets from exchanges after trade.

Because some exchanges have the potential to disappear after a little price moon.

NB: Just my opinion and thoughts tonight, and i am not pointing fingers towards any exchange.
Open to be educated further more.

Thanks

I agree. The safest way to store your crypto assets is still your wallet where you can keep your private keys or seeds. These coming days are interesting to the industry and I bet many hackers will be busy trying to hack exchanges as there are lots of stored cryptos in them. Better secure your assets to avoid losing them.
171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this Right Time to buy Some ALT coins? on: February 09, 2020, 01:50:10 PM
Many are expecting altcoins to become bullish this coming months because of the development and upgrading in their platform. With that, expect also that their prices would rise exponentially. So before buying price goes high, I think it is better to invest now and wait for the their price to pump. Just be sure that you are investing in a coin with a sure project. else you'll end up with lots of shitcoins.
172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum very volatile on: February 09, 2020, 02:03:13 AM

During the past 8 days Ethereum price went up by 22.5%, more so than usual.

Currently at $190 at the time of this post, and there is a huge SELL ORDER on Binance at $195.

IT already broke $195 mark yesterday but went no further.

Another factor is that it's been trading very heavily with Velocity reaching over 15%.

Is ETH ready to push through $200 or is price correction due to happen?
Thoughts?

Well, ethereum price has pump since you posted this thread. Eth has overcome a lot of resistance recently that many predict that it will surpass the $282 barrier in the coming weeks. Great developments are coming to the ethereum platform these coming months so expect some good things to come. Been holding eth for quite a while now and I am hoping to cash in soon.

174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Cash A Better Crypto To Invest? on: February 08, 2020, 01:34:13 PM
Well!! Bitcoin cash is one of the most popular crypto in the cryptocurrency market, as a lot of experts have been predicted on bitcoin cash.

According to Several experts bitcoin cash price prediction the price will go up in 2020 and investing in bitcoin cash gives a better return on investment.

What's your take on this?

Well, if you look bitcoinCash's current status in the market right now, your statements are spot on. It is one of the major coins that really is bullish on its pricing right now. I quite happy that I held on to my BCH even during the bearish season. Now, I have great returns on the BCH coins I have purchased. And its price is still continuing to rise.
175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top Crypto News Websites - Where do you find your crypto news? on: February 08, 2020, 01:29:27 PM
I have also tried Publish0x for crypto news and updates. Try out coindesk. As their moniker says, they are the leader in crypto blockchain news. I think they do provide reliable updates on upcoming events and trends in the crypto space. I like also CoinTelegraph for crypto news. Aside from the reliable news, I also like their humor take (cartoon style images) on their take on crypto news they publish.
176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No good projects from a long time on: February 07, 2020, 04:46:35 PM
I think there are still a lot of good projects right now but the bearish market affects the whole crypto industry. I have invested in a startup of what I think is a good and usable crypto project. They should have launch a long time ago but the developers held off their full launch because of the bear market last year. They said it won't be profitable to launch the project now as many investors shy away from investing big in crypto.
177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: There is no highland of knowledge on: February 07, 2020, 03:03:08 PM
There is no amount of years spent in this space that would make you know everything.  If you give room for learning, you would learn, but if you feel proud to learn, you might remain ignorant of so many things.
The crypto space is emerging with new inventions and technologically, it is advancing.
The market is becoming more advanced with astute traders and sophisticated softwares.
Even scammers and scam projects are devising new means to remain undetected.
Your years of experience in the space is not what matters most, but how much you have been able to develop yourself through learning.

I totally agree with your insights. The crypto space and even the blockchain technology is developing so fast that new advancements are being presented to us every day that is sometimes hard to keep up. Proper research and understanding about technology is a must for you to make it big in the crypto world. The more knowledge you gather, the better and higher your gonna make it through.
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A lesson learnt on: February 07, 2020, 02:47:47 PM
I wasted a year mining useless coins before I later finally understand how important is 'Real Use case' in crypto world. I spent a year mining cryptonight coins because I have many CPU and free electricity but all energy was wasted. I mined coins like
1. Dynasty coin
2. Crep coin
3. edollar
4. Hadron
5. Stellite etc
Now they are just completely useless projects, if I have just stay focus on mining Monero I would have had up to 3-5 Monero by now, but I was running after quantities instead of quality projects, newbies, do learn from my mistake to avoid wasting your time.

I got a similar experience to you. I got many coins from mining and even held them hoping that they will pump later on. But that never happened and their price right now is near worthless. Some even were abandoned by their developers. But I think these happen not only in mining but in other crypto activities. Some coins I invested in ICO before are worthless nowadays.
179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whoa, Ethereum breaks the $200 barrier on: February 06, 2020, 01:47:53 PM
I was surprised to see that today, ETH broke $200 price barrier, and a lot of altcoins in the top 10 are also making a good run, is this the bullish signal that we all have been waiting for the altcoin market?

Source: Binance

Many are predicting that ethereum will be big this year. Others even predict that ethereum will start the crypto bullrun this 2020. This is great news for me since I have been amassing many ethereum during the bearish season. Excited to cash out my etheruem when its price pump as I have been holding my assets for a long time.
180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Crime is getting Worse, what do we do? on: February 06, 2020, 01:24:15 PM
https://news.yahoo.com/cryptocurrency-thefts-fraud-hit-1-211446327.html

In Q1 alone of 2019 there was $356m in theft of digital currencies from exchanges and scams while losses from fraud hit 851m. This number includes the QuadrigaX scam which accounts to about $134m in total losses.

What can we do to help stop these from happening and getting worse?

I think crypto crime continues to exist because scammers know that they have lots of victims that they can deceive. Educating ourselves about the crypto industry and how it works I think is the best way to help ourselves avoid these scams. Always stay alert and don't get persuaded in joining investments that promises you super big returns. Researching the project is very important.
