581  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Red Period but be Patient on: August 31, 2018, 02:55:25 PM
Its been a long while that the cryptocurrency market is in the red. I was hoping that the correction was going to happend during the second quarter of the year just like the previous year but it didnt happend. I am still positive that the fourth quarter would bring great news to the crypto world.
582  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Many will regret that they do not invest in cryptocurrencies on: August 31, 2018, 01:48:56 AM
I think that many who have not used the "drawdown" of the cryptocurrency market and have not invested in it, will regret it when the market starts to grow again by the end of the year! I think that the current dynamics of the market, when it significantly "sags" from the beginning of the year in relation to the January highs, does not stand out from a number of conventional cyclical phenomena. I see that the cryptocurrency market is cyclical, and, despite the current decline in the market relative to January, if you look in relation to last year, we see the growth of the market! And what do you think, you too, as I see the prospects in the development of the crypto-currency market or think it is a collapse?

those without knowledge about the crypto trade just look at the present situation of crypto and not in the long-term impact. this gives advantages to buyers and hodlers who know that the dip is a cycle crypto follows annual. Im confident the price will soon rise
583  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin must be regulated! on: August 30, 2018, 03:27:22 PM
if it will be regulated then it defeats the purpose why bitcoin was created in the first place. that is no regulation and decentralized. i don't how this would coincide with the idea of crypto but somehow their should be a way to counter scam in crypto.
584  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the world ready for cryptocurrency? on: August 30, 2018, 01:33:58 PM
Although there are a few countries who uses bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies now, I cannot help but wonder if the world is truly ready for this digital currency? It will certainly be hard to replace all currencies in the world but it could happen in a decade or so, perhaps even less? Still the question is, is the world ready? I think if this happens it might be one of the biggest changes that will happen worldwide.

I think it is still a long way for crypto to have total adoption. There may be some countries that have acceptance of crypto and has regulated it somehow. But these are only very minimal when compared to the world's population. But I think the progress is there!

587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We trust in crypto! on: August 25, 2018, 02:50:07 PM
How long do you think will the cryptocurrency be popular? Does she substitution the usual fiat money? How many years will pass before this?

I think with the big development with blockchain and digital money, crypto will be here to stay for a long time. Recently it has gained a lot of attention and money big companies are adopting it is their means to exchange their goods. It may still not replace traditional money but I think it will gain mainstream usage in the near future.
588  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Holding Coins and Tokens... on: August 24, 2018, 04:17:40 PM
Until when you gonna hold your coins and tokens?
Will you dump it if it is pumping in the market?

You must set in mind how many multiples of the price you bought the coins you want to receive. Having 3x profit is good enough. Just trade again if you think you want to get more profit. The price of crypto is so unpredictable that the profit you get from price pump will disappear instantly if the price dumps
589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have received some tokens. Should I sell or hold? on: August 24, 2018, 04:14:20 PM
I am a full time bounty hunter. But I am not good at making decisions. Because recently I have received some tokens from a bounty campaign. Now I am really confused about, should I sell the tokens or should I hold them for the price to be a rise?

Note: The token company is saying that the price will go higher. On the other hand, some experts are saying that the token is not good enough to go higher price. What should I do?

Check on the project if it really has long-term potential. Because if it has, its price has the tendency to pump later on especially when the crypto markets recover. Also, check if the rewards you receive from bounty is big enough compared the total quantity of the coins. If you receive a big ratio, then its good to hodl your coin for a while and check how the coin moves in the market.
590  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still believe in the cryptocurrency market? on: August 24, 2018, 04:11:09 PM
If you’re still in crypto after you’ve:

- been scammed
- been dumped on
- woken up in complete shock
- bought the top of a pump
- panic sold the bottom
- listened to Official McScamFee

Say me why do you still believe in the crypto Smiley

I can relate with you. It happened to me many times when trading crypto. Indeed what they say about the crypto market is true. It is so unpredictable that at a split second its prices can jump at extreme ends in one second. When trading crypto, you really need to watch carefully your coins.
591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whats your biggest mistake up to now on: August 23, 2018, 03:10:15 PM
Recently

I bought iotx , and sold it after two days. Unfortunetly next day it listed on binance , iotx moon . I have lost of oppertunity of 12000$

Thats biggest mistake done recently. Share your ones ?

Read all posts , you can undertand where  our weak points. Some too early sell , some too early buy.

From mistakes we can learn

I have been in your shoes so many times. selling my coins too prematurely thinking that it is the highest exchange I could get only realizing that it mooned so much. The bad thing is when I eventually decided to buy even at a very price hoping that I could sell it higher, the coin abruptly goes down. sometimes in trading discipline is really important. my mistake.
592  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 80% of ICOs are Scams on: August 23, 2018, 03:03:47 PM
Actually are other studies that it is higher than 80%. This scam projects are just riding the hype and popularity of blockchain and crypto and wanted to benefit from it in the wrong way. But it is still to us user and investor to fully research the project that we are joining.
593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why people try to create their own coins? on: August 22, 2018, 02:53:23 PM
There are so many coins, but many of them just a copy of anothers. Why they waste their time for nothing? Grin

Blockchain technology was created as an open source system. Meaning anybody with knowledge about it can copy and revise the code for their usage. Plus creating smart contract does need require very deep knowledge in programming. I think this is why there are a lot of people creating their own coin. Some to legally make their project but I think some just want to scam others.
594  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to Google to have their own coin ? on: August 22, 2018, 02:48:47 PM
I have read in one of the crypto forum that Google has plan to create their blockchain. I dont know if this is true if it is I am not surprise as they have all the capacity to create their own. It would be exciting to see the development of this.
595  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are stakes? on: August 19, 2018, 01:26:38 PM
Hello all,
I have a quite stupid question...
People always say XXX stakes to reward in their bounty program. So what's a stake? My understanding is that is this the project token? So we just avoid saying the names of different tokens by saying just STAKE for them all?

For example, if I get 1 stake for QASH, means that I get 1 QASH; if I get 1 stake for Tezos meaning I get 1 XTZ?

Thanks guys!!

Stakes are the equivalent percentages you get from the total coins that will be distributed to all participants. So, if you get 10 stakes from 1000 total stakes of all participants and the campaign will distribute say 100,000 coins. then from your 10 stakes, you will get (10 / 1000) x 100000 coins or that is 1,000 coins.
596  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to find if airdrop is fake on: August 18, 2018, 03:14:12 PM
This tip based only on my experience how find if the airdrop is fake

few months ago i encounter a fake airdrop using a telegram bot.
An airdrop bot pretending as a real airdrop of coin already listed on CMC
first i search on coinmarketcap from there i saw the legit site..
second i search the telegram group chat
and ask the admin there if its legit airdrop or not and they said its not legit an airdropbot using the name of their coin

another fake airdrop i see last month is bitair also asking for selfdrop to buy their token
i search the bitair website and i find it.i see the twitter account from there website
and i notice on there last post was november 2017 if im not mistaken,
and bit air ico sale was ended last november.

both of this type of airdrop scam i noticed they both collecting a member for their telegram channel and collecting follower on their twitter account.and asking for selfdrop

i hope this post can help some newbie to avoid to be a victim of airdrop with selfdrop

any other tip on checking if airdrop is legit?

One way for me to spot if an airdrop is fake is if there are many details about the project is missing or not disclosed. Also, the details about the team running the project is important. Check if they have a telegram group and see how active the team, not the manager, in answering inquiries and answering questions about the project.
597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Please Suggest Do & don'ts For Newbie on: August 18, 2018, 02:42:13 PM
Hello Everybody
Sr. & Experienced Members are requested to suggest some "do and don'ts" for Newbie's so that They can Follow and Maintain the Platform Environment Healthy.

Do not get influenced by fake marketing ads promising you big rewards on a very easy task. Always research the project that you are trying to join or you plan to invest. Start slowly until you gain enough confidence to invest big.
598  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Invest in Ethereum on: August 18, 2018, 02:35:50 PM
Hello.

do you think it's a good time to invest in Ethereum?

I think aside from Bitcoin, Ethereum is one of the best cryptos to invest for long term. It has the features to go toe-to-toe with any other coins and has the support of many projects and ICOs out there. The cheap price of ethereum right now makes it a good time to invest.
