161  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin VS bank on: May 03, 2018, 03:52:45 AM
I think bitcoin is better than banks because with bitcoin we have full access and control, I do not like to waste time waiting in line so I hope that someday the transaction system is like bitcoin.
It will be nice if we could get a future like that but we need to be realistic banks are the most powerful entities in the world and they are not going to give up that kind of crazy power due to a new invention, so I think that the best that we can expect is that banks and bitcoin are able to coexist together, and since banks cannot destroy bitcoin either that seems to be the most likely outcome.
162  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is bitcoin stability important? on: May 03, 2018, 03:49:31 AM
With this level of volatility, BTC will never be able to replace fiat in any major application.

And that is exactly the point; BTC was created as an alternative not exactly as a replacement.

In order for BTC to behave like fiat, it has to be heavily regulated like fiat is. Do we want that? I don't think so...
You are right, besides even if I like bitcoin a lot I do not want it to replace fiat, using something like cash still offers you some advantages that bitcoin doesn't, using cash is completely anonymous, while bitcoin is not anonymous at all everything is there in the blockchain forever, so I like that privacy that cash offers that bitcoin and most cryptocurrencies do not.
163  Economy / Economics / Re: How will crypto go long term? on: May 03, 2018, 03:43:05 AM
In my opinion, it is in our best interest to gain enough profit so we will have the funds to become qualified investors, and be able to re-enter the markets through the banks exchanges.
Is that not the reason why the small fishes should open their eyes to see what the big whales are up to? But instead, they end up swimming away out of panic just because of some little dump and giving up their long term positions. When the bigger players take hold of this market, we will sure see a big run and from there we will get to see the market controlled by them eventually. The reason why we say HODL, is simply not to give them a huge chance.

There are still many who will buy cryptocurrency. If there are still many who buy cryptocurrency, of course, crypto will continue to survive even though much negative news everywhere.
When we believe that there will be more number of new investors over time then cryptos are here to go for long term as per OP. This must be another reason why we are using cryptos as investments as of now Cheesy.
Correct, it is very interesting that people choose the analogy of calling those that have huge stashes of coins whales, the big fish can always intimidate and eat the smaller fish, any movement that he does intimidates the smaller fish, this happens in the market as well as soon as the whales do something everyone panics and begin to sell and to abandon their positions in the market.
164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When Will Ethereum reach 1200 again? on: May 03, 2018, 03:32:09 AM
just wondering when Will Ethereum reach 1200 again? Is there any upcoming news about ETH that might lead to price growth?
You need to learn to be patient, I know that I will like that the market was skyrocketing right now and that we all got profits and that we talk about all the Lamborghinis that we are going to buy but the market cannot be in that state forever, at some point it needed to go down and we need to wait for our opportunity and not sell for a bad price.
165  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin now the biggest bubble of all time? on: May 03, 2018, 03:25:51 AM
It was a big bubble no one can deny that but fortunately for us the bubble already popped and yet the price of bitcoin is still high which should be a clear sign that not all of the growth that we got was a bubble, many people adopted bitcoin, the technology improved and there were good news in those months so not everything was hype there was real growth.
166  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will you do with your Bitcoin in 2018? Will it become more valuable? on: May 01, 2018, 03:49:31 AM
In 2018 i remain consistent to continue to hold my bitcoin, until the price actually moves up, because i am sure that by the middle of this year bitcoin will increase and become more valuable again.
I have great hopes in bitcoin, especially for my future and my family, so i keep investing and saving some of it to get a lot of profit in bitcoin when i later sell it for a high price.
The price of bitcoin will surely increase but unfortunately no one knows exactly when that is going to happen, that is why it's important to remain consistent like what you are doing, I know that it can be very hard especially when the price crashed so rapidly at the beginning of the year, but if we want to avoid losing money and even better if we want to earn money we have no other option but to hold our coins no matter what.
167  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will happen to bitcoin in 2018? on: May 01, 2018, 03:34:10 AM
Bitcoin has been hot, but many bosses think it is a big bubble. If you want to ask how the red currency will fare in 2018, some of the weaker bitcoin institutions think it won't be long, and prices will fall in 2018. The famously bold bank of Denmark has made a startling prediction: it will be back in its original form after it has shot up to $60,000, falling back to $1,000.

Deutsche bank has previously said the bitcoin crash would be one of the major risks of 2018. Ahead of the launch of bitcoin futures, deutsche bank warned that the bitcoin boom could pose a serious threat to the broader market in 2018.
That particular prediction is not going to happen it is impossible for the price of bitcoin to go that high and then that low, why would the price of bitcoin reach 1000 again? When there is so much money invested in it, when there are so many more people using it, when the technology is improving by the efforts of the developers, there is not a reason to ever go back to that price.
168  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how often do you check BTC price and how to cope with stress? on: May 01, 2018, 03:19:47 AM
how often do you check BTC price and how to cope with stress associated with this?  I am checking it every few hours and it drives me crazy and makes me anxious. Is there anybody in a similar situation and how do you cope with this?

PS: I was trying to do this once a month, but I think, I missed the beginning of the bear market in January this year because of this.

Thanks,
Mike
You need to relax I know that it is not easy but you need to do it, what is the point of earning a huge amount of money to your trading activities if you are stressed all the time and you eventually get sick because of it? Stress is one of the main factors that causes a lot of diseases in the long term, so learn to relax, learn what works for you maybe you can try meditation or yoga.
169  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin so down on: May 01, 2018, 01:50:30 AM
Why Bitcoin came so low in 2018 january to march
All the guess people were saying that Bitcoin would touch 25k$ but why did not it happen ?
We were in the middle of a bubble, it is that simple some people predicted that we will reach 50000 or 100000 but that didn't happen because there was not a reason for that to happen, you need to understand that the market is not going to do what we want it to do, the market is going to move freely and you are the one that needs to adapt to it if you don't you lose money.
170  Economy / Economics / Re: 16 Cryptocurrency Exchanges Get Approval to Launch in Venezuela on: May 01, 2018, 01:36:40 AM
I think this is to give liquidity to the petro coin from Venezuela? It sounds great that the country that is near to economic collapse is embracing blockchain tech but it also sounds risky for putting the petro in the blockchain way too early in hopes of restoring the economy. I feel pity for the people and hates the corruptions going on. Anyways, I hope Venezuela get back on their feet soon.

This is likely the aim, but this isn't beneficial to crypto in any way. This dictatorship is attempting to circumvent international sanctions on the country with the Petro, and anyone buying into it is helping to prop up the regime. Venezuela just arrested executives of Chevron because they didn't sign a contract with the Venezuelan oil company and Chevron has since pulled the rest of the team out of the country. Source:  https://www.reuters.com/article/us-venezuela-oil-chevron/venezuela-arrests-two-chevron-executives-amid-oil-purge-idUSKBN1HO2V7  The Venezuelan state-owned company is full of graft and corruption, and the country keeps firing executives and installing soldiers to run things. This is particularly why the country is failing. The use of the Petro is an attempt to get cash into the the economy despite the fact that international sanctions have mostly cut it all off. By selling the Petro for cash instead of oil, the government hopes to get around the international sanctions, but anyone helping is selling out to support a dictator in hopes of making crypto gains.
This, he is just trying to save his government and nothing more he is trying to circumvent the sanctions against his government and its trying to make it last for as long as he can, but it's going to fail no one is going to invest in anything that has the Venezuelan government behind it, they have shown over and over again that they are not to be trusted I just hope that the Venezuelan people get him out of the power before he really destroys the country completely.
171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: bitcoin or ethereum ? on: April 28, 2018, 03:00:17 AM
Is now the Right Time to Invest in Bitcoin, Ethereum, or Should I Stay Away?

This is definitely the right time to invest in bitcoin or ethereum, invest in the one that you like the most or the one that you think has the most potential to give profits in the near future, there is no reason to stay away from cryptocurrencies like those, if you look at the previous prices you will see that we are very far away from the all time high which is a good sign if you are a potential buyer.
172  Economy / Speculation / Re: After " Destroying Bitcoin " prices went up on: April 28, 2018, 02:53:15 AM
Have you seen that MIT technology review explaining 3 ways to destroy Bitcoin ? It is from a month ago.

Well I won't discuss that, but briefly, imo they have too much imagination, for real, it's all biased.

So basically, even with this news the prices went up from about 7k at the time to the prices that are now. I learned that Bitcoin prices usually fluctuate due to bad news, but I started to follow prices only this year. What kind of news would make the prices decrease ? Anyone remembers one ?
Most of the news that make the price bitcoin to go down have to do with some kind of government regulation or banning, in the previous years China was very influential in the price of bitcoin almost anything that China said could push the price down or up but now they are losing their influence, also news about hackings to exchanges can cause the price to go down.
173  Economy / Speculation / Re: The real problem of bitcoin price decline on: April 28, 2018, 02:48:13 AM
The real problem of bitcoin price decline is that more of 50% of cryptocurrency community are most of them ignorant and lazy people , they just follow rumors , they never get news from trusted source , never do research and this what create this panic Sales on the market and this bloody bath that you see right now , they heard about bad news from India so they start selling and never try to understand what was the news and  what is really going on , and did this affects on bitcoin or not , I am sick and tired of those kind of people .
If you don't believe in bitcoin just walk away , we don't need you in our community .
The actual problem of bitcoin price decline is that more of 50% of cryptocurrency community are almost all of them ignorant and lazy people, they just follow gossips, they never get information from trusted source, never do research which what create this panic Product sales on the market which bloody bath that you observe right now, they learned about bad news from India so they start advertising without try to understand what was the information and what is very occurring, and did this influences on bitcoin or not, I am sick and tired of those kind of folks.
If you no longer rely on bitcoin just walk away, we don't need you inside our community.
You are right but the problem is that those kind of people make the majority of any market they are not going to disappear and in fact they're going to become even a greater nuisance in the future so the only thing that you can do is to take advantage of it, I know that is not healthy for the development of bitcoin but we will need to find ways around it.
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How do you find good ICOs? on: April 28, 2018, 02:42:44 AM
Check if the profile team pics is displayed and check the use case. Read the whitepapers and see on the Product usefull.

Yeah, read and understand the entire concept of the project, but think also that scammers are still around us and definitely they have using ICO project to get money from the community. They are working it hard also so we can't easily take it down such ICO is legit or not. That's why we just be cautious in doing these.
The most important thing is to look at the project and see if they have the potential of becoming a success, there are many coins that are released that make no sense after reading just a few lines you realize that there is no way they can make that a reality, so by using a little bit of common sense you can avoid most of the scams that are in the market right now.
175  Economy / Economics / Re: Crisis is Coming on: April 28, 2018, 02:36:12 AM
Why should be worry about crisis if it is already part of cryptoworld’s existence? And without crisis, you don’t have the cjane or opportunity to buy your prospected cryptos at a lower price. When there is crisis, there is money.
right, with so called crisis, is an opportunity for many people to buy and invest in cryptoworld. with cheap price we will get a lot of cryptos, so that later we will get a lot of profit, i think in cryptocurrency we should be smart take advantage of opportunities, like this
How you look at a crisis will depend entirely on how to you can respond to it, there are many people that when a crisis strikes they cannot really do anything, they have no options that is why they feel desperate, but if you have some money in your hand, skills and experience then a crisis can be a great opportunity to earn a lot of money very fast.
176  Economy / Speculation / Re: 82% of Institutional Crypto Investors Believe Bitcoin Price Has Bottomed on: April 27, 2018, 03:40:39 AM
Most of the time investors are going to be divided about where we are, whether this is a recovery or not and that we will see the price decreasing again, but when we have so many investors agreeing on the same thing then you can be very sure that they are most likely right and I think that many people in the forum will agree with them as well.
177  Economy / Economics / Re: Banks admit they fear BTC on: April 27, 2018, 03:28:40 AM
This is true that banks are afraid of bitcoin because they thought that in the coming days many would prefer to invest in bitcoin , than putting their money in the banks with so little interests gain, while when they put their money in bitcoin it could get a big interests than saving their money in the banks.
They are not really afraid that investors are not going to put their money in their vaults, true investors never put their money in a bank for a long period of time since they know that is a losers move, what they are afraid is that bitcoin is adopted by everyone around the world and that their services are not required any more due to people becoming their own banks thanks to bitcoin.
178  Economy / Economics / Re: Invest in BTC vs Invest in Real Estate? on: April 27, 2018, 03:16:58 AM
Bitcoin chart is going up and down some times I am thinking maybe I should invest part of my BTC (at least the part of the profit  I’ve made on crypto) into something real?!
Let’s say I can buy share of real estate company and get the part of profit (50-100% per Year).

Should I
Spend all my BTC on that shares?
                Spend small (profit) part?
Or just do nothing and wait?

Huh?!

I’ll do appreciate for answers with any suggestions and recommendations!

It is your choice but I think this is not the right moment to sell your bitcoins you are not going to get as much money as you could have just a few months ago, so to me it is not the best thing that you can do in this market right now, if bitcoin was skyrocketing and you were saying that I will probably agree with you because this will be the perfect moment to sell some part of your bitcoin and buy some shares in a real estate company.
179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Invest in ETH or in Neo at the current market situation? on: April 27, 2018, 03:03:21 AM
I am looking forward to invest 500€ either in Ethereum or Neo. I have a big stock of different cryptocoins (quite a few Ether and other Alts) and now my question is shall I stock up my Ethers or invest in Neo? Also with regard to future developments. Any reccomendations?
It was depends on what you're looking for, if you are looking for faster profits then investing in Neo could be the best option, however if what you're looking for is to make a very safe investment then when it comes to altcoins the safest investment is ethereum there is no coin that comes close to it and yet the profits that you can get out of it are decent because you are investing when the price is kind of low.
180  Economy / Economics / Re: Study says being rich is determined by chance rather than intelligence or talent on: April 27, 2018, 02:21:01 AM
This is true. There are a lot of people who have worked hard their whole life and have nothing to show for it and I have met very intelligent people, some with incredible talent but they never made it and they never turned out rich, then you see people who are just starting out with no talent or brians, a slight turn of events and they end up rich with more money than they can use.
There is no way to deny that luck plays a factor when it comes to be rich, after all if it was just about working harder or to have the talent then all the people that work hard or that have talent will become rich and that is impossible, but at the same time those that were able to become rich have something else going on for them they have some kind of natural intelligence when it comes to money.

To begin with, I agree with you and your point in general. Just by hard work and intelligence alone, you won't become super rich like Bill Gates or Warren Buffett. I don't know much about Buffett and his lucky star, but Gates once upon a time had more luck than a few hundred people may have in their entire lifetime. With that said, though, if you are slightly more intelligent that the rest of the pack and not very much unlucky beside them, you can rightfully hope for a decent living even if you were not born into riches, especially if you put a good deal of effort in pursuing this end.
And you are completely correct there are also some studies that show that those that have an higher IQ earn more money than those that have a lower IQ so as long as you do not have terrible luck or just take terrible decisions then the chances that you will be fine by yourself are very high, and it is not really surprising someone that has an higher IQ can comprehend more difficult subjects that pay more.
