Okay serious question here.

For people living in the USA, what is the legality of actually using PXC for it's intended purpose.

I assume you would have researched it heavily before fronting servers inside the USA for online gambling.

No attacks, I just want some honest answers here. Maybe some citations or sources of information if possible.

SatoshiDice has restricted USA access, and reading their terms it states:

NOTICE: Your IP appears to be from the United States or another jurisdiction where SatoshiDice does not offer its service. You may not access the satoshidice.com website or service from the United States or any other excluded jurisdiction. Please refer to the Terms & Conditions.

5.3 JURISDICTIONS. Persons located in or residents of the United States and the United States Territories (the “Prohibited Jurisdictions”) are not permitted make use of the Service.  For the avoidance of doubt, the foregoing restrictions on engaging in real-money play from Prohibited Jurisdictions applies equally to residents and citizens of other nations while located in a Prohibited Jurisdiction. Any attempt to circumvent the restrictions on play by any persons located in a Prohibited Jurisdiction or Restricted Jurisdiction, is a breach of this Agreement.  An attempt at circumvention includes, but is not limited to, manipulating the information used by SatoshiDice to identify your location and providing SatoshiDice with false or misleading information regarding your location or place of residence.
163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FTC Attack Again (?) | Heads up | on: July 21, 2013, 07:29:49 PM
You are a terrible miner, and you are hurting your PXC investment via UNOCS partnership.

FTC needs real miners more than anything to fight it.
How could you make a, clearly, wise and insightful comment whilst knowing nothing about the launch details of UNOCS?

Folks are scared, thus the attacks and 24 hour launch delay. Childish.

My comment had absolutely nothing to do with details about UNOCS.

My comment was that you do not understand how an attack works. When a coin is under a large hash attack, one of the best methods of mitigation is to maintain the real miner hash power and try to add to it if you can. You told people to bail on the coin and go mine your pool so you can make money instead. That negatively impacts a coin under attack(potential attack) and helps the attackers.

When 3 coins partner up, their value becomes connected. If someone controls 33.3% of a company or entity or group and has issues, it typically effects the other partners as well. Same theory that everyone is banking on in that combining 3 coins provides positive reinforcement to the pricing. The positive end is that all 3 collectively add and benefit each other, the negative is that each coin poses an additional layer of risk. The combining of 3 coins is not the same of providing redundancy for protection since they are all working in unison but separately.

If you support one of the three coins, and support UNOCS, you should support all 3 coins equally to get the most benefit.

it was about 12 when you posted on that page i checked before that other guy posted the link Wink
look at it now lol

notice when the auto pool hoppers move / difficulty changes..
the point i made is very real so you do have to take that into account, it's a fact !
whether that is what is happening or just happened i am not too sure.
don't jump to conclusions.. posts like this is like a weak attack on the coin.
it almost seems like your trying to stir up some controversy to damage the coin or your just being a nub lol

Auto pool switchers do not switch much more hashing power than all alt coins excluding LTC combined. Catch my drift? FTC was in position 3 or 4 at the time and would not be the #1 choice or auto switchers. It hit 26 Gh/s when I was watching it. That is more than LTC's global hashing power (23 Gh/s - 24 Gh/s) for comparison. FTC normally sits around 2 Gh/s - 3 Gh/s.

I was trying to do something nice and notify people that an attack may have been occurring.

It seems the only thing people can do is lie 24/7 and be douchers.

Give it a rest. You have been playing the same, broken record.

The fast block times after a retarget skews the calculations. You will find a better estimate here (as it uses smaller number of blocks to average) http://www.feathercoin.com/netstats/

Where do you think I got my 26Gh/s network reading?!

167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FTC Attack Again (?) | Heads up | on: July 21, 2013, 09:29:01 AM
This is not the real hashrate, just stats error due to miner switching between main and forked chain !

don't loose your hash with FTC at the moment, better mine PXC http://pxc.theblocksfactory.com/

You are a terrible miner, and you are hurting your PXC investment via UNOCS partnership.

FTC needs real miners more than anything to fight it.
168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FTC Attack Again (?) | Heads up | on: July 21, 2013, 09:16:02 AM
Wow

Current Network Hashrate   26,378,022 KHash/s

Higher than litecoin.
169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FTC Attack Again (?) | Heads up | on: July 21, 2013, 09:09:21 AM
are you sure it's not just auto script / multi pool users ?
when i visit here, https://www.multipool.in/
I see they are on FTC right now (see top right corner of screen)

What rate are you seeing? That does not seem plausible.

I just saw Current Network Hashrate: 15,220,519 KHash/s EDIT: *Current Network Hashrate   18,320,182 KHash/s*

That is something like 8x the normal FTC hash rate, and almost to LTC's hash rate. It was at 2-4 Gh/s previously.

I suspect they are hashing to get the next network difficulty to switch at which point their fork will come into play again and actually lower the difficulty. It will then snowball when the profitability rises like last time.

LTC pools? Botnet? I do not have the ability to find out that kind of information, otherwise I would.

FTC appears to be under attack again.

Double digit Gh/s mining rate. Upwards of 26 Gh/s when it is only 3 position on coin monitors.

What else do you see going on?
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Miner's Official Coin LAUNCH - NUGGETS (NUGs) on: July 21, 2013, 08:09:10 AM
100,000 from r3 when he refused to give me anymore.  1 million from r3 when I fired his ass.  50,000 from programer X for getting upset with me and returning my bonus.

274,000 from shekazula for coins given to him by r3 with without ever asking my permission.

R3 had a blast with my coins, your clj a, coins made for bounties and now there's gonna be zero bounty coins cause I'm giving away every single coin.  I'm sick of hearing how rich I am. As you can see there isn't one out transaction and not one single coin silent or sold.

I kept my word.  I could have gotten some nice BTC on r3's exchange for this many coins but I'm not a sellout and I'm here for the long term. I Dom know how I'll pay amount it's now or how ill make money off this coin since I'm broke but this had to me done to shut up the mindless fools.

Enjoy, it's nearly 2 days of miming hitting every block straight.

Now lets hope R3 didn't make them worthless with his games while trying to cover up the theft of millions of coins.

Want the 10k I got?

Post your add

The coin before had 0 reward for first 250 blocks. Does this still have that?
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Supposed ASIC Scrypt Miner | Scrypt ASIC International on: July 21, 2013, 03:10:34 AM
Something comparative to 230GB of GDDR5.

Um it is certainly a scam but what does 230 GB of GDDR5 have to do with anything?  You do realize Script uses none of the main memory on a GPU.  The main memory has far too much latency (latency for loading from GPU main memory is about 200-300 clock cycles).

A GPU which needed to use main memory would work for 10-20 clock cycles and then up to 300 (totally idle) and then work 10-20 and then wait up to 300, etc.  That is the whole point of scrypt.  A GPU which needs to use main memory on GPU would be beyond useless for hashing however the scrypt used by Litecoin (and others) is intentionally weakened to only use 128KB about 1% of what is recommended for LOW SECURITY (i.e. realtime logins) applications.  That's right Kilobytes of memory.  It uses the L1 cache located on the GPU processor itself (much like it uses L1,L2,L3 cache on a CPU).

I was just using numbers based on 7950 stats.

How much memory do you think it would need to hash at that rate? You seem more knowledgeable than most at requirements.

Do you think it is actually feasible?
179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Supposed ASIC Scrypt Miner | Scrypt ASIC International on: July 21, 2013, 01:57:27 AM
LOL their image of the "ASIC" is a Cooler Master

http://www.coolermaster-usa.com/product.php?product_id=10020

Next time, copy & paste the image URL into Google image search and see what comes up.

Why would they need one of those for an ASIC.

Edit: Also their dimensions are off and they say their ASIC only weighs 4kg while the case alone weighs ~8kg.

They have to put it in something. Nothing wrong with using an existing case for a product. It clearly says the cooler master logo on the front of it...

Worst reply ever haha.

The case is totally fine it fits 2 full size GPUs in it. But the mathematics still do not work out with output vs power usage vs required memory

So why are their dimensions and weight off by so much?  Roll Eyes

I can't expect an 8kg case to suddenly go down to 4kg after installing the boards + psu, even if they remove some of the crap inside.

Not commenting on that. That is just a blatant fail on their part. Even more proof they are scammers.

You just wrote some Sherlock response to something blatantly known, it was a CM case.

I would consider selling @ 1 LTC per 500 CSC.

You think it is worth 0.000064 CSC / BTC ?

Seems quite high for a new coin.
