Are we in the midst of a pump and dump? Considering the lack of volume one wouldn't think so but with the price having been slightly increasing since about 20:00 EST last night until now I'm wondering if a dump is in our near future?
Wild guess: mild interest from Bitcoin 2014 conference in Amsterdam (which so far has not made any big news at all). And maybe some demoing of ATMs going on over there. Doesn't start until tomorrow: http://bitcoin2014.com

I think today will be good news. Fingers crossed for delivery dates!
They aren't great at communication anymore, but they aren't daft enough to drop bad news following the FrankenJupiter debacle that's still lighting up their forums.
I just hope it's substantial enough to warrant being an announcement and not just performance updates with vague delivery times and a bit more information about Boden.

Spondoolies making some statements regarding KNC in this post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=521520.msg6703090#msg67030901. They pretty much claim that KNC lied in the tapeout press release and didn't tape out in february but rather in march 2. They say that the fab itself takes at least 4-5 (I guess months but they accidentally a word), and of course in addition is shipping and assembly If this is true that would mean that neptunes won't be delivered in Q2, but rather late July at the very earliest, and that's just the first batch, they have said that batch 2 will be delivered one month after batch 1 which will be delivered one month after customer-only batch, which means that batch 2 and maybe even batch 1 would not be delivered until Q4. Wow. Thoughts? Sounds like we will find out today, Kurt says there will be an update at some point for Neptune and Titan.

Think people are reading too much into that status. At best it's likely a formal announcement of these: http://www.coindesk.com/bitpay-partners-hotel-software-provider-new-booking-tool/http://techcrunch.com/2014/05/08/bitpay-index/Today Bitpay is coming with a huuuuuge announcement right?
We will see. It is the new crypto trend to pre-announce announcements and not deliver. It will just hurt bitpay to tweet about something big and then go silent. They don't want to ruin their reputation , I hope. Where did you hear this? I couldn't see anything about an incoming announcement on their Twitter. If they do have anything to announce they'd keep it until the conference this week surely? Check their twitter. https://twitter.com/BitPay/status/465206481474686976It's not really an announce but it's a hint something will come. And that thing is big =)))) But i'm really worried about how big or small this might turn to be. Amazon Amazon Amazon Amazon Amazon Amazon Amazon Amazon Amazon Amazon Amazon Amazon Amazon Amazon Amazon Amazon Amazon Amazon Amazon Amazon Amazon Amazon Amazon Amazon Amazon Amazon Amazon Amazon Amazon Amazon Amazon Amazon Amazon Amazon Amazon Amazon Amazon Amazon Amazon Amazon Amazon Amazon Amazon Amazon Amazon http://time.com/63376/amazon-bitcoin/Amazon won't be accepting Bitcoin any time soon, there are no few benefits for them to do so. Have you ever used their one click checkout? It's easier and nicer to use than paying for anything with BTC.

What about Btc-e?
They can sell them for CNH. Of course is not the same than CNY, but they can keep trading with their currency.
But can they withdraw the CNH from BTC-e to their mainland bank account? The secondary problem is, form China will comes a lot new bitcoins to Bitstamp and BTC-e and it will crash the price. Just check fake Huobi volumes ! FTFY If the Chinese exchanges are going to close, where would they sell them? For most Chinese, the non-Chinese exchanges must be as viable as the Chinese ones are for Westerners.
Logic, Chinese people will sell all on Bitstamp. Arbitragers and some other clients will do that. But most Chinese clients would need to open a bank account in the West in order to withdraw dollars from Bitstamp, and then will have to convert those dollars to CNY so that they can spend them at home. Since the price at Bitstamp is unlikely to go much higher than now in the near future, many will rather sell now at Huobi. What about Btc-e? They can sell them for CNH. Of course is not the same than CNY, but they can keep trading with their currency.
The problem is the next, In Chinese banks, incoming funds from BTC-e, Bitstamp or any exchange will be baned.
They are in most countries, look around at people receiving payments from exchanges and having their accounts banned. That is why I deal with Kraken, the payments come via SEPA from "Payward Ltd"

Earlier than I expected. EDIT: Ah, they're only studying it. Good, good. Now I will keep my funds on the European exchanges for sure. Edit: This news combined with the fact that Mastercard hired some lobbyist to create some anti-bitcoin awareness is really bad news. We don't 100% know that MasterCard are lobbying against. Likely, yes, but speculation none the less.

Look at his last posts page... every single one of them have btc FUD. This guy desperately wants low prices and has ZERO credibility.
why FUD ? bitcoin is obviously going down back to 200$. What credibility do you have ? More than the 2 of you combined based on his previous posts which aren't crying when things get bad/ citing Ripple as the future or calling for Bitcoin to fail.

WTF is this at stamp.
The rumors might be true, bitstamp is closing its business due to some illegal activity of its users. LOL what rumours exactly? I have some friends in USA, who actually introduced me to this Bitcoin pest. They all say Bitstamp will go down till the end of this week.It has something to do with paedophile activity , they seems to be trading with bitcoins through bitstamp now. They are going to sell everything. but i am not sure where they got those information. I dont really care since i only have 0.2 btc=)) Bullshit. Bet you haven't got any friends. Now scram and go spread your FUD elsewhere.

Chromosoma is the worst troll on here.
Are you willing to put your money where your mouth is and wager on Bitstamp shutting down?

Might be perfect for the Neptunes... Introducing the Corsair AX1500iIt ain't cheap ($449) but it is Titanium-rated and delivers 1500W on a single rail but also configurable for multiple rails. I've got a geek boner! ![Shocked](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/shocked.gif) Nice! But pricey. How are people planning on powering their Neptunes out of interest? I've been looking at server PSU's and breakout boards.

Isn't there supposed to be some Gox news today, or did I imagine that?
|
|

Yup. In the current climate, I'd say that falls more into the category of 'not bad news' rather than 'good news'. It is good news for bitcoin bad news for the price of bitcoin. in that dirty money rents a miner, mines clean bitcoins, sells clean bitcoins for clean cash. the net result will be selling pressure on bitcoin, but a growing network. so cheep coins Anyone renting a miner is not going to be able to sell a large amount of coins. 3THS only gets you about 0.19BTC a day with this difficulty.
