Never understood this lines but I drawed one from the sight of an optimist  Cheesy

[...]

That's pretty much my point too. I see a lot of posts here with screenshots of Bitcoinwisdom with randomly drawn lines but not so much explanation/detail/Actual TA behind it... Usually the lines are simply placed in a manner that supports the poster's sentiment.

I'd like to know who everyone thinks does the best TA here (or on Tradingview etc) because I don't really have time to sort the wheat from the chaff myself...

That's quite lazy (although at least honest) and short-sighted: ask that question in here, and you'll get 10 different answers. Now you're faced with the same problem: who do you trust to give you a good recommendation about who's best at TA.

That said, watch out for masterluc (posts infrequently recently) and TERA. Both are rather bearish at the moment, draw your own conclusions from that.

Thanks, I do enjoy Tera's posts and will keep an eye out for masterluc in the future.

I've been lurking here for some time now and am a long term hodler (I've been mining and buying and hodling since 2011) - so I have been through a LOT just like the rest of you.

There are many who post good, reasoned, solid TA, but to be honest there's also a lot of crap posted here that I just skim past.

So call it laziness if you will, but I'm extremely time-poor, I run a business and have a family and other responsibilities in my life so I can't spend my days staring at charts on screens/photoshopping CCMF pics and making bets about the size of my eWang.

Reminds me of that slow slide we had this year, forgot when exactly, just steady slide down on zero news.

Bottom probably somewhere near 370

I like rpietila and windjc although windjc might be overly pessimistic because of loss of millions

China already managed to pull it down below 350 (Apr/11, Bitstamp) because of some short-lived scare.

Chromosoma is the worst troll on here.

That's a pretty bold statement.

Igorr, MatTheTwat, Fonzie and Mah87 are no better.

You can't put Mat and Fonzie in the same bucket as mah - they might both come across as harsh, puerile sometimes, but theres intelligence there - i actually enjoy their points of view.  Different strokes 'n that

The poll is missing 'boredom' or perhaps 'frustration' none of the terms really fits these kind of feelings.

I can't be the only one who feels like it's dragging along somewhat indecisively...

I really liked the idea behind the poll, too.... However, I agree with some of the posters here, that there may have been some common feelings that were NOT quite captured... but reflective of how many poster feel....   Certainly, since this downtrend has been going on for a couple of months, my feelings have changed over time.  For example, sometimes I feel manipulated.. even though that may be a better description of how bitcoin should feel, if bitcoin were to have feelings... ..... maybe even honey badgers have feelings?    Cheesy    Wink

Translation:
Quote

goes the rate on a day- or week-basis under 335 $ then losses down to the the reistence range 205 - 270 " have to be considerd

Under 200 " it becomes more critical than a downslide might go to 120-130 $

Oooh, looks like some new 'news' on the cards:
http://www.ibtimes.com/bitcoin-terrorist-threat-counterterrorism-program-names-virtual-currencies-area-interest-1579699

Rumour has it Saddam paid for his WMD's using bitcoin, won't somebody think of the children... Meanwhile paper dollars remain the No. 1 currency for criminals worldwide.

Earlier than I expected.

EDIT: Ah, they're only studying it. Good, good.

Now I will keep my funds on the European exchanges for sure.
Edit:
This news combined with the fact that Mastercard hired some lobbyist to create some anti-bitcoin awareness is really bad news.

Damn. What's the source for this news fact? Not like it's very surprising but still.

We don't 100% know that MasterCard are lobbying against. Likely, yes, but speculation none the less.

Random thought, how would a war in Europe affect Bitcoin ? 2014 seems to be a really really bad year so far !

(snip)

.... But completely hijacking the conversation, I posted earlier a link to another thread about Sunlot and you-cannot-make-this-shit-up shenanigans. I got a few rightfully concerned replies, but no real discussion. Does nobody care? I think it's a serious indirect risk to the Bitcoin economy...

I read Phineas G's stuff on Sunlot and it was quite shocking - it does seem like the SaveGox is more SavageGox to me - I really can't see the kind of people involved doing anything other than a cynical raid on assets and laughing all the way to the bank, or that Spanish villa some of their associates seem to enjoy.

Equally surprised no one seemed to comment TBH.

How can you really know that there is merely going to be a plan to raid the assets.

If the "savior" of GOX entity goes into the court and makes a specific and plausible and persuasive plan that shows an intention to recover and preserve assets and to reopen the exchange with those kinds of intents, then that kind of information may be sufficient in order to persuade the court to try that avenue rather than going down a liquidation path.

The Western Leaders AND Putin would both have to make some rather foolish mistakes for things to escalate to the point of any hostilities outside of Ukraine. The economic interdependence of Russia and the West is simply too strong at this point.

Disagree.  China and the satellites suffice for Russia to develop full tilt.  They can erect another iron curtain, no problem.  They really don't even have the bandwidth to spare for European economic engagement: The population is low, aging, and falling in Russia.  (Although I recognize it is a low probability event by any conventional estimator, reality is itself a low probability event, and I think Putin will launch a surprise attack of some sort on the U.S. during his tenure as head of state, de jure or de facto.  I just don't think he yet knows why.  The actual game plan which drives the event is just a self-interested rationalization of a deeper necessity.)

Quote
Bitcoin is likely to retest $340 support

I tend to agree.  There's going to be another bottom.  We just don't know where, just yet.  Between 340 and 400 around May 21st is my best estimate for the last of the bottoms before the hype ramp begins again.  Any lower would almost certainly mean a protracted malaise, a delayed hype cycle, and a ca. 60-100x superbubble on the next cycle, in 2015.

I told you few days ago, that bitstamp is going to be closed  due to some illegal activities. That wasnt just a rumor;)

Please, enlighten us.
as far as my sources teold me. Bitstamp is involved is some illegal activity, presumably  some paedophile groups use  bitstamp to exchange money. That is why bitstamp  is going to be closed for investigation etc  next week or so.
If (or really, WHEN) it turns untrue, I hope someone here will remind me to have this guy banned.
that is almost like a bet.  It needs a timeline.. maybe one or two weeks (or NO later than the end of the month), if the closing of stamp does NOT happen, then Chromosoma = banned... he definitely has been spreading a lot of NON-substantive bitcoin is dead FUD>>>>>  that's for sure.
