Where do you get all the data?

This question has been asked again and again since the beginning, and OP never answered it...

I'd like to suggest some improvements:
3rd) Showing the feed source for each type of bet may help proving that this game is (almost) provably fair;
3) We're not disclosing a source for the financial feeds and never plan to.

162  Economy / Gambling / Re: DirectBet – Best LIVE Sportsbook & Racebook. No Accounts. Instant Payouts. on: July 31, 2014, 02:31:39 AM

Is the site down? I keep getting the error 522.

No problem at all here. Maybe OP fixed the problem very quickly after discovering it. Smiley
163  Economy / Gambling / Re: Withdraw bitcoins from gambling sites on: July 31, 2014, 02:26:42 AM
I remember PD had 6-7 confirmations before until recently. Extremely annoying to wait, and not worth losing the potential customers the casino might've lost.
PD has had instant deposits for a long time, they have changed to 1 confirmation one month ago.

That was the main reason I played there and not JD, when it switched to 1 confo JD was definitely the better option. Now the only site with zero confo deposits is 999dice Sad

Not really sure about the details, but 999dice was accused of scamming and the owner has left bitcointalk since Jan...

164  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Selling my main account on: July 31, 2014, 02:13:24 AM
How is it only a Senior Member if it's from 2011, you only needed to post 100 more times to be a Hero. What a waste.

The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

The "time" value in the activity formula depends on the number of period you have posted, and so an old account doesn't necessarily have a high "time" value, especially when the word "inactivity" is mentioned in OP.

This is my first signature i hope i do all right :-)

You have set your signature right, but it seems your personal message isn't quite right.
You should use "★☆★777Coin.com★☆★ What are you waiting for?" instead, according to OP. Smiley
166  Economy / Services / Re: Up to 0.01 BTC weekly for YOUR SIGNATURE on: July 31, 2014, 01:43:00 AM
Is this sig plan still active and what has people success/failure rate been like?

Did I read the optutline correctly - max of 0.01BTC per WEEK paid weekly!

Yes it's correct. We've just been talking about hos ridiculously low the pay is. If you post regularly this campaign isn't for you.

You must look from the other side. For example you don't have time to post or you are traveling for few months etc... So in this campaign you still get paid, but on others no. So this is still better then nothing. Also they allow more signatures, so you can apply for free POS coins while on other campaigns you can't. (and you can make 1BTC from each coin sometimes - which is a lot of comments actually Wink )

How many hero members don't have the time to make (possibly) more than their actual job? Gosh if I could make $35 an hour POSTING I would do it. Even if I was busy I would prioritize some time.

Just check a few pages in this thread and you will see there are in fact quite a number of people joining this sig campaign.
167  Economy / Services / Re: [DiceBitco.in] [Make the most out of your sig!] Make coins by simply posting! on: July 31, 2014, 01:19:46 AM
Wish I could do weekly payments, but imagine having to pay 100 people every one week. Its simply TOO much time and trouble. On another note, added in first post just to make it clear:Posts posted on THIS specific thread will not count and they are not eligible for payment.

hahaha great to hear!  All the spammers will be leaving you now Wink  Freaking genius idea (and I'm serious) now I can visit this thread to see updates instead of people spamming questions everywhere.  And 10 people answering.

Yup it is a good idea, and indeed, such rule has been used in the GAW campaign for quite some time already. Cheesy

Link me to your account I'm too lazy to check.
I'm pretty sure that you were suspended for a reason, aren't we all?

Yes, it's true that the house edge is slightly higher than other sites, but as it's mentioned, this is to make up for the return of half of the bet.

I implemented the 50% back because I thought with this people would be more willing to take the risk of the bet, as they are sure they won't lose all the bet.

However, even if you get 50% back, the bet is computed with the total amount. For example:

I bet: 0.01 BTC to 50%
If I win, I get 0.01 x 1.44 = 0.0144 BTC
If I lose, I get 0.01 x 0.5  = 0.005 BTC

If I play on SD, I could bet half of my bitcoin on a 50% bet (x1.957 with 50%, x0.005 with 50%) and keep half of my bitcoin untouched.
Then, I would be able to get x1.4785 (x1.44 on your site) with 50% chance and x0.505 (x0.5 on your site) with 50% chance.

OP, it is good to see new gambling sites coming up, but to be competitive you need to set the edge lower. Smiley

BTW, don't get me wrong, I am not trying to discourage you or bash your site, I am just trying to help make it better. Smiley
173  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 51% problem still existant after all coins have been mined ? on: July 27, 2014, 05:16:29 PM
I dont hink it will be a problen once all coins are mined.

Not really, people with a majority of network hashrate can still launch double spend attacks on casinos and exchanges, even when there is no block reward at all.

174  Economy / Gambling / Re: Withdraw bitcoins from gambling sites on: July 27, 2014, 05:10:01 PM
There is always a risk for double spending but It's very low so you just don't think about It.

Oke, but there is a reason for waiting on 6-7 confirmations right?

I believe "6 confirmations" is used just because it takes on average an whole hour (a nice number) to get there, and there is nothing special about the number "6".
IMHO, if you are not doing a big transaction, 1 or 2 confirmations are good enough. Smiley
175  Economy / Gambling / Re: [ANN] CoinNotify Dice, the dice game where you can't lose everything on: July 27, 2014, 05:05:31 PM
My problem to it is that the house edge is pretty high (compared with other dice sites).

For the 50% bet, I have 50% to get 1.44x and 50% to get 0.5x back, and so the edge is 3% (before tx fees).
For 0.3% bet, I have 0.3% to get 155x and 99.7% to get 0.5x back, and so the edge is 3.65%.
176  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn Bitcoins Simply By Posting on: July 27, 2014, 04:53:55 PM
i thing prime dice not paying

Why so much feeding to this troll?

ALOT of people who are replying to the troll are doing so in order to pump their post count and get that extra 50 cents..

Apart from the signature ad payment, some people do enjoy some arguing on the Internet. Smiley
177  Economy / Services / Re: [13 avail.] UPFRONT PAYMENTS FOR YOUR SIGNATURE - Limited offer. | lunamine.com on: July 27, 2014, 04:43:04 PM
Yeah, currently working on the new participant list, after that I'll make the next upfront payment. No worries, you'll be in.

Hey, seems u have overpaid me. I'm a Member. So per post is 0.0003BTC. So, half of the total 20 in a week should be 0.003BTC. But u have paid me 0.006BTC !!! Where should I return the rest or am I doing something wrong in calculation ?

+

Please check my Sig if it is properly set up with your referral.

Half?
The following line can be found in the OP:
"Payouts will be done once you have placed our signature in your account. The upfront payment will be for minimum post amount (20)."

And that's why you received the payment for 20 posts in advance. Smiley
178  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: July 27, 2014, 04:38:05 PM
Hmm I think this one is interesting since its sorta new it qualifies but its a tricky one kind of a tiny amount here then more on another site in this case letstalkbitcoin.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=710993.msg8030870#msg8030870

I want to run a signature promotion campaign. Lets Talk Bitcoin started paying the audience for participation and I'd like to promote that. I don't need that many people or posts for this campaign. Once enough people sign up I will start a campaign. I want to start over the weekend, so don't wait too long to sign up.

Requirements:
1. This should be the only signature you have
2. This sig should display correctly, if you too junior you will not have enough space in your sig. In this case you don't qualify.
3. You can't change you sig until campaign end.

Rules of the auction:
1. Once we have 7 people who qualify I will start a campaign. In rare case more then 7 manage to sign up I will pick only 7!
2. Campaign ends one week after it starts.
3. I will count posts you made in this week and the first 5 people  with the most posts will get paid 0.01 BTC
4. Bottom 2 don't get paid, but I still appreciate your support
5. I know I don't pay much, but please don't cheat and don't spam. I'll try to find people who play unfair.

That signature campaign has been now cancelled as no one is interested in joining it. Smiley

179  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: At what point (hash) is solo mining viable? on: July 27, 2014, 04:23:55 PM
damn, how much hash do you need to solo/mine these days? Penta?

Nah, you just need some TH/s to get a reasonable chance (not high, but it is doable) to get a block.
sciack (in post 16) got 4 blocks in 10 days with just 10TH/s, but unfortunately he wasn't solo-mining. Smiley
180  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Getting paid for signature space? on: July 27, 2014, 04:17:11 PM
trust me you need to post a grip to get any btc around on this forum.

And thats if those posts are approved, which most dont go through since its counted as spam.

That's true most have to be constructive. which is very hard to meet the minimum amount for that month. It's only a little bit of Bitcoin but anything is better than nothing really.

So is there an easy to know threshold of what's considered spam vs. constructive? Would this question/post be considered spam even though I'm asking a genuine question?

There is nothing set in stone. Most campaign managers reserve the right to make their own decisions regarding this, so when in doubt, do not pad your post count. Some are explicit; my campaign, for instance, urges members to make 3+ sentences per post to be considered constructive.

A lot of people agree that it needs to be on topic and adding to discussion to be considered constructive I often have to reduce non constructive posts of mine from the total.

One way to know the campaign managers' requirements for "constructive posts", is to check the posts of those getting denied for sig payment. Smiley

For example, Stunna denied 6 persons' sig payments last month. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=291387.msg7916455#msg7916455
