There are over 800 altcoins already. 90% or more of them will die sooner or later.
New coins trend is likely going to continue until people will finally start to realize that there is no money in quick pump and dump. Thats where truly innovative and professional coins will start to shine and all shitcoins will be quickly forgotten.

Not an answer i was hoping to get, but ok then. If he has a vision that he definately needs yet another new coin, then at least he should open hes personal wallet and hire a decent coder who can manage the technical side of this new coin. Sooner or later there will be a fork or a some major bug, which will requre skills. A valid question. I know he has a vision that he wants to be able to achieve with WAC that was not really something other coins were doing. MMC comes close but was not what he was looking for. |

The existing coin base is Vertcoin. For some reason the current dev is having trouble compiling it for WAC. I am not a programmer so I am not sure what the exact issue is. We have separate people for the dev and the charity... The problem is the dev can only use a VM and is struggling to get an executable file. We cant use an existing coin for what we want to do it wouldnt work.
Moving this from Mac wallets thread to answer. Why cant you use existing coin for your project? What is stopping you exactly? If you answer me in detail and i agree with the answer, then i will build your OSx wallet for free. You misunderstood the question. I will try to be more clear. IMHO, a developer who cant compile Mac wallet dont deserve to be developer at all. There are plenty of coins with capable devs. If you want to start a charity program to aid someone or something - use existing coins and do not create another shitcoin. Doing this will benefit everyone. You will not have to struggle with code and you can fully focus on your charity program. I second this. I will add to the bounty for this as well. The coin is being used to help people and the kick off has been slow and we want to bring new devs on board as well as others. So if anyone has time please contact Gravitate. I appreciate your time and consideration. If someone can do a Mac wallet for www.woprldaidcoin.org I will pay a bounty perhaps but PM me first please |

try restarting wallet Still cant fully sync it. When i restart the wallet it downloads a few new blocks but then it gets stucked again. Tried deleting all in roaming folder except wallet.dat and redownloading the chain but still the same. Synced just yesterday from block 1 and no problems what so ever. If yours get stuck for some block then simply restart the client and wait for it to continue syncing. |

So supply does not fit in with the lack of demand in any way? Any idea why 42coin costs thousands of dollars for 1 coin? I know, that's a tough question. How about this one: Do not inflation and dilution affect the price and value of ANY asset? Not many economics or finance guys on these boards, that's for sure. OK, "mr master economist". Do yourself a favor and go read about what exactly is a "supply cap". A small hint for you: Coin production has nothing to do with a supply cap. They are not related in any way. Seriously.
