Sorry for the last of communication lately. I had some minor issues with accessing my account for the last month, but it's since been resolved. As far as news, we don't really have anything that we can share publicly yet, but we certainly want to do everything we can to get this launched and released to the public. There has been too much hard work put into this to just forget about it.
How about a sneak preview of what it is you're working on? I, for one, have not the slightest idea what you guys have been up to all this time. Nor do I know if it's still relatable to R3D, or if it has become a totally different product/project. The slightest of insight into what's coming up would be awesome!

The developer that never sleeps, it's 6 o'clock in the morning! Nevertheless, you never cease to amaze me Banzai, another awesome job. The new wallet looks great, nice graphics and colors while retaining the simplicity, I like it. Looking forward to the swap!

LOL Like Banzai doesn't do enough already . Be grateful he even took this coin on .
youre right my apologies im just excited about where this coin will be heading after the swap.. cuz staking makes it a lot more interesting for a lot of people including myself Aren't we all? Let's give Banzai the time he needs, instead of rushing and pushing him. Don't forget he's also dependent on the cooperation of two exchanges, which can be a hassle at times. He will deliver, just have some patience!

Hey Luc,
That's because we've been approached by a couple of private parties interested in our methods. There really hasn't been much to report on other than that, so we'll see where things take us and update everyone with any news.
Best regards,
syntaks
Cool, guess we'll just hang in tight and wait for an update.

To make one thing clear. I work at my own pace... I had some private matters that needed some attention, but that is all ok now And unlike a newbie... I will not just disappear in thin air I picked up this project because it was "dead" since the original developer left us... Many takeover projects failed us in the past.. I want to change that negative view on takeovers... And show people a takeover project can really work out when you are dedicated enough as a new project leader.. Working at your own pace is perfectly fine, especially when you're as dedicated as you say you are! So far I'm not worried about you abandoning the project, on the contrary I have enough confidence in you leading it that it will become an even bigger success. Anyway.. Ik think we can already safely say the takeover was a succes... Even though a few big dumps happend the last few days.. Which is pretty normal when BTC does a 100% actually... We are still standing stronger since I worked on CHIP then before.. Remember... We we're at 15-20 satoshi haha Exactly, and it's not only CHIP that suffered (in terms of BTC value) from the insane rally of Bitcoin. The past few days most (if not all) altcoins have reached new bottoms. As for a whitepaper.. I want to focus on completing the swap without problems first... When that is done there are a few other things that need attention.. OP/Website/Games/Explorers/Nodes all need updating after that.. But when that's all done I will gladly work on a whitepaper for the things I have in mind in the long-term for CHIP You're right, let's first focus on the swap and make sure it's executed successfully. After that there's a plethora of time to realise a whitepaper and other extras with some community input, like; promotional videos, wiki page, etc. EDIT: Seems I misunderstood... I will create a " flyer " with final info for the swap if that is what you meant That's not what I meant, but it's a good idea nonetheless! My Previous post on CHIPS thread "That (ticker -CHIPS) won't cause any confusion with Chip ticker"... was satire. Of course, it causes confusion! But... they still don't care. Maybe we can pick up some of their potential customers. This coin is actually doing something vs. CHIPS pump group and promises.
Reaching out to them via their communication channels might help? Do they have IRC, Slack, or perhaps an email address we can contact?

Yeah, overhaul, more like a whole new one. I made offers of huge amounts of BCr for people to take up jobs but none came forward.
...
Might have some ideas, tomorrow I will hit you up on Skype about the ANN overhaul.

LOL.....dev is actually the first to verifiably solve the
1) Pool Domination 2) Hardware Arms Race
problems
Where have you seen/read that? That sure is interesting..
|
|
|
It already happend.... ummm... Can you please change your ticker?? We already have the ticker CHIP.. Your ticker is VERY confusing for people... How could you have missed that? Not only for me and the CHIP community but also for yourself and the smartpoker community.... Please change the ticker... Thanks... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1188983.0chipcoin.info chips.suprnova.cc etc. I agree with BanzaiBTC. This will be very confusing to people and might lead to people depositing to the wrong address, resulting in a loss of coins.. Using an abbreviation of the coin's actual name - "SmartChips" - would make much more sense, right? How about something like: SMCH? Whatever you guys decide to do, good luck with the project!

Every altcoin is heavily dropping in BTC value, and will probably continue to do so as long as Bitcoin's USD value is on the rise in such a pace. People are converting their altcoins to BTC and selling for fiat. For those still having some spare BTC, great time to get cheap coins!

hit up synonym.com and see what else could work. I dont know if there would be legal issues with the word "bank" but the easier bitcredit can associate itself as a decentralized ledger for p2p finances in the simplest way possible the better.
some masternode buzzwords built off "bank & node:" financenode agentnode enterprisenode economicnode fundingnode clerknode financenexus agentnexus enterprisenexus economicnexus fundingnexus clerknexus
lastly if there is/was a slack or irc chan where bitcreditscc, the people contributing to code, or anyone knowledgeable were around to field random questions and collaborate with ideas it would/could be helpful. though ive seen firsthand channles die off quickly. it depends on community, if its best to talk here no problem.
Yes sir, I 100% agree with you. Also, the legal concerns you mentioned are worth sorting out beforehand. Regarding Slack or IRC, good idea but that will require some effort of the community as well. Idling in an IRC channel in case there are people with questions would be a good start I would say. Just created an IRC channel on Freenode, feel free to join: freenode.net #BCR. ( Webchat link: http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=#BCR - might not be there as it's late already ) Tried searching synonyms for "bank" and "node" via TheSaurus.com, the synonyms for "node" are quite off-topic lol. banknode

As much as I love the new designs for the promotional material, I'm still very curious to hear what Navajocoin's next step(s) will be.
I haven't given up yet, and I don't want to...

Good morning,
Stoner's account is having some issues so I'm posting some updates for the time being. We've been working on getting everything to fall into its proper place before we make any announcements. We don't want to state anything indefinitely until we're sure of what direction things are heading in, but someone will be keeping everyone updated throughout the process. Sorry for the delayed response, it's just been a bit busy here.
Best regards,
syntaks
Thanks for the update, looking forward to what you guys will come up with! Is there any progress? Just curious as the conversation in this topic has completely dried out.

Algo X11 Reward structure:
Block 1 - Swap Coins
PoW | Block 2 - 6000 1 CHIP (Swap Period) or PoS | Block 2 - 6000 1 CHIP (Swap Period)
PoW | Block 6001 - 16000 - 8 CHIP or PoS | Block 6001 - 16000 - 8 CHIP
PoW | Block 16001 - 26000 - 12 CHIP (PoW End) or PoS | Block 16001 - 26000 - 12 CHIP
PoS | Block 26001 - 32000 - 6 CHIP
PoS | Block 32001 - 38000 - 4 CHIP
PoS | Block 38001 - 68000 - 2 CHIP
PoS | Block 68001+ - 1 CHIP
Still doubting if we should make the final reward 1.. or keep it at 2...
...
Looking good, I like the static rewards. Let's get ready for some staking! By the way, are you planning on releasing some sort of whitepaper containing all the information regarding the new specifications after the swap? Curious to see it. While things are moving a bit slow at the moment and we're all waiting for the swap to happen, you're doing an awesome job Banzai. Keep up the great work you're doing here, really appreciated!

Formal labels using 'bank' is likely to be a regulated term or the network might be considered trying to pass off as a 'bank' which might cause problems.
Maybe some creative renaming in a future release.
Thanks, very true, a lot of things here need renaming and legal assessment for various territories. first impressions would be bitcredit finance on the blockchain, lending escrow etc, and call the banknodes financenodes or agentnodes Financenodes sounds quite nice!

hi there guys, was wondering why the price is plundering so much, get em cheap is at place now.
and what's cooking @ bcr, when newer version out or any info on newer updates,
will bcr soon to be added to other exchanges, wich one? and when? so the 2k 3k satoshi prices has already passed. but banknodes working great, and wallet mining? i really don't know.
so the one mining and being bn, or mn, or i dunno what else possible inside this coin's wallet. has the greater advantage.
thanks for the great updates guys.
The banking branch is actively being developed: https://github.com/bitcreditscc/bicreditsnew/commits/0.30.18-banking

the swap will be 10/1 coin ?
Let's hope not, I'm hoping for a 1/1 swap.

Does this build feature any wallet speed improvements? It opens/closes faster on both Windows 8.1 x64 and Windows 10 x64, and it feels smoother overall. Also still hasn't crashed!

I agree, transitioning the coin from PoW to either PoS or a PoS/PoW hybrid might be a good move. How about combining PoS with a special staking reward program? Might make the coin even more interesting for (new) investors. If the community votes for a transition to PoS or PoS/PoW hybrid, will you start with a clean chain?
You're right about the fact that a lot of features have already been (newly) introduced by other cryptocurrencies. And it's not always necessary to reinvent the wheel, so I personally believe this gives Chipcoin a great opportunity to choose from a plethora of already developed features. How about creating - besides the PoS reward incentive - some sort of second layer incentive? Not sure if that will fit the concept of Chipcoin, but it was merely a quick thought. I have a few ideas in mind for PoS. I personally favor hardcoded pos blocks. As in 1 CHIP per PoS block instead of rewards based on a yearly %. It has to be worth it to stake your coins! The bad news is, this will probably involve a swap, so a new chain indeed... Coding PoS into the current source is one hell of a job to do.. And requires a lot of testing. It is way easier to clone a solid working source, and built the coin's future features from that +1! I like your way of approaching this, making it actually worth something to stake your coins. If a swap really appears to be necessary then so be it, even more so if it might affect the coin's future in a positive way. With regards to moving from PoW to PoS - I fully agree, however, it shouldn't be just another PoS coin. Instead, it would be great to have a custom reward schedule that really differentiates Chipcoin from other coins. Just a quick thought, haven't really thought this through (yet) so I don't know if this will work... But how about basing the stake reward on both a collateral for a minimum amount of coins held in the wallet, and the amount of time you're staking? So for example there are 5 reward levels:Level 1 Stake rewardCollateral: minimum of 50.000 CHIP held in wallet Reward: Level_1_reward (x1.0) Level 2 Stake rewardCollateral: minimum of 100.000 CHIP held in wallet Reward: Level_1_reward (x1.1) Level 3 Stake rewardCollateral: minimum of 200.000 CHIP held in wallet Reward: Level_1_reward (x1.2) Level 4 Stake rewardCollateral: minimum of 400.000 CHIP held in wallet Reward: Level_1_reward (x1.3) Level 5 Stake rewardCollateral: minimum of 800.000 CHIP held in wallet Reward: Level_1_reward (x1.4) You get the idea.. Thoughts on this guys? Like I said: No idea if this can or will work, so any feedback, criticism, opinions, etc. are more than welcome!
