Arrived very quickly. Fedex is about twice as fast as DHL from China. All miners arrived in good shape. Wiibox is not as bad as you might think. I like it better than the LightningASIC version.
Cept it does not seem to work and I am unable to see detailed stats. 监控中心 / Monitoring center says it all works - but nothing is reported at the pool. Sometimes powercycling does resolve the problem and they start to hash but sometimes they just go down. Not sure what is going here. Yeah, scratch my earlier comment. I have it running but it is difficult to see what exactly is running. Google translate stopped working after I ungraded the firmware to 2.0.2 and I cannot figure out how to overclock. Any ideas on overclocking with wiibox for non-Chinese readers? It is a little more technical but I can put a guide together for all to over clock. Should be easy for newbies. Just ssh into the controller, find the right text file and edit the speed there. PM me Pistachio and I can teach you quickly without the guide. Cheers |

Thanks for all the setup help! I am finally running 6 gridseeds and my gpu rig without issues. Keep me posted on a controller. Atari shipped it to me in Pennsylvania in 3 days from Australia.  I am glad to be of service. Anyone else feel free to ask me questions, I have done lots of testing on these units. Cheers |

I don't know which model it will be, ... probably the golden ones ... which firmware are you refering to ...link? to be precise jack (lightningasic) posted a picture which showed 5 mh/s. there are some comments that a new firmware upgrade would increase the performance. not sure exactly in which thread it was, coz there are severals ~ I dont' believe anyone has got those speed. It was just false advertising. The highest speed I got out of them is around 4mh, more stable at 3.8mh. What I believe lightning did was keep restarting the miners until the pool show that kind of speeds at the start. Sometimes when you start the miners a unit can show 800kh/s, but thats for like 5 mins. Over time it averages out to 350-400kh per unit. Cheers |

Whilst I understand why you would want to minimize electricity costs/maximise profit when Scrypt mining is marginal, however, at current levels scrypt mining is not marginal. The driving argument for which kit to buy should be greatest hash/$ NOT greatest hash/watt! (Unless you live in an amazingly expensive electricity region!)
I agree with your argument 100% , but are other circumstances where this trumps gpu miners. 1. When you max out your power at home. Instead to moving into and paying for a rented commercial property, you can put 24 sets of these on a 16amp line instead of 2 X 1200w gpu rigs. 2. When you live in a hot country like me and the heat causes stability problems in the gpu (and additional cooling costs). |

that turned pool, user & worker .... to a thrid party in my absence ....
I haven't changed ... anything at the code, except upgrading with wiibox.net to 2.0.2 ...
Has someone a similar issue with a wiibox controller ?
my work around im not using that controller for the moment ...
Can you show me those codes? That is not good, I can doubl-check with my controller I will send you a copy of the controller root when I'm home, ..... would you be able to give me a image for it so I could flash it with orginal? I am not in my home country at the moment. I am in China ensuring delivery for my customers =) But I'll see what I can do to get my hands on one from here. |
