163  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best way to make bitcoin on: May 27, 2015, 04:48:14 PM
No free lunch in the world. You have to do sth to earn it. Even you go to faucet, you have to view the ad and click it. OP, try to be realistic.

But with BTC unlike any fiat currency, there are actually ways to recieve micro payments that over time will build up... I dont think 1btc/yr goal is unrealistic at all and should be easily achieved... will be slow start as it takes $ to make $, but after the slow build up if you can find things to invest in then will be faster to go from the 0.01-.1 mark than it was the 0.00001-0.001 mark....
OP follow links off google/faucets try gambling if you know how to play any games like poker then there are many btc poker sites that offer freerolls many with good pay, i've won well over 2btc from freerolls alone in less than years time

167  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best or safest way to store coins? on: May 21, 2015, 06:37:36 PM
Im not really into technical information and knowledge about bitcoins so i need some help, what is the safest way to store your bitcoins? I didnt have much until now so it wasnt really a big problem but now im starting to get worried.

make offline paper wallets send you coin there divided into wallets with no more than 1-2BTC in each....

Done some research on that:

Proper paper wallets are often a very secure way of storing bitcoins, since they are not typically exposed to malware. They can also be easily stored securely in safes and safe deposit boxes. However, it may be more difficult to securely "backup" paper wallets, and due to the current sub-optimal software support, it may be easier to make a mistake that causes loss of bitcoins.

What do they mean by "a mistake can cause loss of bitcoins" as i said im not into technical details about bitcoins so i need you to explain pretty much everything XD

I once lost a phone that had a bitcoin wallet on it with no backup... lost the phone lost the bitcoin... anything like that can happen backups are best
168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google "Bitcoin" on: May 21, 2015, 04:59:49 PM
It is called as Search Engine Optimization (SEO). It depends on many factors. Keywords, backlinks, etc. Maybe CoinDesk concentrated on their SEO? Or as the other user pointed out, results might be tailor-made based on your recent search/browsing history. When I Google 'bitcoin' bitcoin.org is the first result.

yep google pays attention to where you go "in life and on the web" and tailors searches to the person, and advertisements always go up front of line followed by what google thinks is what you first wanted... wikipedia i think is best :-)

im just wondering if it is that they dont trust it or are just waiting to adopt it when the timing is right....
I know they have to see the overall value in it, also the fact that it can be mined cheaper and more environmentally friendly than any other precious metals that are being mined...
171  Economy / Economics / Re: Just found a person selling about 44,000 Bitcoins in localbitcoins on: May 19, 2015, 03:33:04 PM

173  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: A bitcoin miner in every hand on: May 19, 2015, 04:38:27 AM

It seems like a article just to get them publicity.  We are so far from in every hand, we need a lot more exposure.

And in every device just will never happen.  Some devices would be great other devices make no sense.  Like something you want longer battery life on... you would not put a miner in it.

You dont think technology will be able to overcome short battery life on devices? i Figured we would already have overcome this small step, but the constant flow of data and the heat caused by would mean alot of these devices have short lifespan which would mean more turn around on replacements and even more money in big companies pockets...
174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: “People should not be fooled by claims of online anonymity, each transaction..." on: May 18, 2015, 06:30:07 PM
Welll the way i look at it is if you are doing something wrong with the bitcoin and need anonymous there are steps to take to get that, but if ya using to say get a 20% discount at starbucks who cares ... personally I'd sign my name with every tx and send to the feds and not care
175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My experience with BTC ATM on: May 18, 2015, 05:58:32 PM
So far i've only used 3 times the ease of use is AWESOME takes less than 20 seconds from start to end of transaction i have no sold btc to it yet even though it is a 2 way atm, ive only purchased....
the  ATM Type: BitXatm. located at BuzzBrews in Deep Ellum Dallas, TX If you are curious about using btc atms i would say try it def alot of hassle going "offline" for btc use

Seems like they have improved a ton to keep it quicker for the user vs back when we saw these guys make it look really bad for everyone lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnm4xFC2xNo

ohh yeah, the one i use is sooo simple, and its like a 5 min drive one of these Robocoin ATMs the ones that require your basic DNA sample before purchase, this all ya need is $ and a QR code, they do have option when purchases "i need a btc wallet" but i just have it scan my phone, not sure what the atm does if ya dont already have a btc wallet, maybe i should check that option out just to see for further review
176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My experience with BTC ATM on: May 18, 2015, 05:23:13 AM
