161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient POC Mining | New version 1.1.2 on: September 18, 2014, 03:45:28 AM
Does this look like a reasonable set of 107 delays for 22.3TB of plots?  I am a bit concerned that they are too large.

Looks ok to me. 22TB should have a peak at ~ 55k seconds.

Thank you  Kiss

dcct, in the merge tool startnonce needs to be an unsigned long long int.

Hold on for a few hours, new version is almost ready. Just needs some final testing.

We need someone to re-do the flowchart in the OP:

We need something really fancy!

I'll give 5k BURST bounty for this. If there are any questions about it -> #burstcoin or send a message here.

+1

We don't need to be negative.

I too, am annoyed, I haven't sold shit in a long time, mining and holding all the way, trying to promote burst as much as possible, but I agree, it's time to take action against these assholes. Let me know if I can do anything.

Why?

They only hide behind some marketing speech, which is fine. If investors still want to invest - let them.
168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient POC Mining | New version 1.1.2 on: September 17, 2014, 03:27:29 PM
I'm a little annoyed, so I'm going to start a CLD fud campaign.

It doesn't seem right to me that CLD should be rising because it is only a parasite to true innovation, I.E. BURST.

They are severely limiting our profitability, and whoever you miners are that are just mining and dumping... You are just ridiculous. You are why BURST can't get off of the ground.

You can hold it and make more money. Do people know this? No investor wants to buy burst because they know miners are just dumping it for whatever they can get anyway. At this rate, might as well just wait till we are at 30 satoshis.

Do they even plan to store data on the nodes? They don't have a concept how that should work, at least I cant find it.

Looks like a payment system for their traditional cloud only.

Stuck at block 13080 ?...  Huh

Not stuck, just a long deadline. All OK - happens once in a while.

is reading speed of 133 mb/s enough (SATA 1) ?

Plenty. Don't worry about read speeds too much. Some people even read from 100Mbit NAS's.

Quick question. Is it safe to Mine with USB 2.0 External HDD?, does data transfer speed affect mining speed?

Its not optimal, but it will work.

Will mining speed be affected because of read time though?

On blocks which finish quickly it might not finish reading - and maybe miss a block. Its just a few % less.

I don't want to start using my spare HD to start mining burst coin.

I just want to know:

Let's say I have 1 TB hard drive. How many coins will be mine in 24 hours?

You should at least read the OP.

dev, burst need more advertisement and promotion.......

Also, if you have a good idea what can be done, I'll help out with some (or more) BURST.

Releasing a GPU plotter was the equivalent of an ASIC, so it's all done for this coin now.

Why are you still here? You don't even know what you are talking about.

I've done the math - created a GPU miner that can go without HDD, optimized it and so on. Result? A High-End GPU equals ~40GB disk space - at best - at 200W power consumption. Even with ASIC's built for this coin its FAR from being profitable.

Hello! I found your passphrase thanks to a malware i've installed on your pc.
If you don't want to wake up 1 day showing ZERO balance, please send 100k BURST to this address as fee.

You may think i'm joking.....BUT I'M NOT.

Ok, placed your 100k in a wallet, passphrase is in /root/yourBurst. Read it with your malware  Grin

hey dcct, did you see this ?  (last two posts on that page)
hm..I assume you developed the merge-utility ? The 64-bit version has a 32-bit file-rename bug.

Thx

Thanks, I'll look into it.
