the asset owner always will receive a 0.00001% share of the dividend pool, per Omicron, every 2 weeks.

I think a very important part of the remaining OMC has been overlooked.

Out of 10M, 1,008,333 were sold for BTC (121 BTC / 0.00012000) + 700,000 for swaps. There are currently 8,291,666 OMC not sold which represent 83% of the dividend share.

I suppose that would be spread over all the current circulating OMC temporarily getting a much larger share than 0.00001% per OMC and decreasing as assets become active no?

"Biweekly dividends ensure that no matter the price of the asset, the asset owner always will receive a 0.00001% share of the dividend pool, per Omicron, every 2 weeks" U just need to multiply that 4 ur coins and u will know how much u get.

Scenario A:
121BTC assets
John has 10,000 OMC
50BTC is traded and 50BTC is lent.

Gladimor scores a nice 50% profit on those 50BTC = Net 25BTC profit. (10,000*0.00001)
John gets .1 PERCENT of 25BTC (0.0250btc) at the end of the two week period + whatever interest the loan yields.

Does my math check out?

Does the following help?

In a nutshell, I need to buy 10.000 OMC in this ICO so I will be getting BTC dividend. That is ~ 1,2 BTC... Once I am invested... What will be my approximate profit? How much BTC biweekly can be expected?

On the current lending rates, you are looking at a basic of 0.67% of principle, biweekly. That is just for the lending interest considering half of the capital is locked for loans. The variable rate will of course, be variable, and I cannot give you an exact number because it is altcoin trading. Based on my past performance of my trading service in Delta Investments, I can say that the average should be around 10% biweekly from altcoin trading if half the capital is used for trading. So the total biweekly return would be ~10.67%. This is just a statistical number, and will of course be different every 2 weeks.

ahh thanks.. yeah I missed that reply.

I am very curious what the impact of having a popular dual miner like Claymore has on the otherwise very small DCR market.  Seems like it would just be an opportunity for people to mine and dump, further driving prices down.  I still believe in the project, and will hold some for the long run.  I made enough staking it early to cover my investment, the rest is a hail mary.

That has been on my mind lately as well. ETH miners can dump at a few satoshis and still profit from DCR as it is basically free for them.
nothing is free, i dont know how claymore works but i'm sure it isnt creating hashpower, therefore if you mine only ETH you will mine more ETH and if use claymore is because you want them both(not "free" like you said).

It is free DCR according to:

- Supports new "dual mining" mode: mining both Ethereum and Decred/Siacoin/Lbry at the same time, with no impact on Ethereum mining speed. Ethereum-only mining mode is supported as well.

I wouldn't mind some sort of fork to prevent this....

That would be illogical... it's free exposure for the DCR project and aids in distribution.  You're assuming that everyone using the miner is dumping every DCR they mine.  I'm sure the miner has brought new faces to the project.

good point about new faces but still a double edge sword IMO.

its not related to claymore at all... income is already under the price of electricity

Wouldn't claymore miners profit even more from that? less hash from DCR-exclusive miners....

Folks, please be mindful of not all picking the pools with the most users/tickets.

Biggest stakepools, obviously, have higher profit which they can re-invest in further improvements of stakepool infrastructure and Decred network, such as:
- launch more servers in different countries to guarantee high availability of voting wallets
- work on security improvements
- have enough resources to provide 24/7 support
- develop new services and apps for the customers

In the stakepool.dcrstats.com we are doing our best to simplify the life of our miners and provide them best user experience. Join our pool Wink

@Dcrstats: That reads quite misleading to me. Large pool profits can be reinvested, but there's absolutely no assurance of that always happening. On the other hand it hints at the idea that small pools might not afford to invest in their infrastructure or services, which is not a fair statement, because a tiny pool might have a comfortable budget isolated from ticket/user profits.

Such is the case with StakePool.eu.
We operate a tiny pool with healthy budget. We top your services since we do 25/7 support!  Grin

Importantly, voting should be as distributed as possible, for a healthier and more robust voting network.

Note: Your pool currently holds as many tickets as all the other pools combined. You run an awesome stats dashboard that will always attract users to your pool (and I am a regular dashboard user btw, great job there). It's just frustrating to see these claims & adverts on top of it all.  Roll Eyes Anyhow... I'll stay clear of further discussion about pools and such. Happy voting all.

Classy as always myagui - wouldn't have expected less.

Seems that ticket buying and voting works just fine with Mac OS X Smiley

Haven't had a chance to try the GUI... most likely reading it wrong but was the price really 13dcr in those purchases?  says 13 in those transactions and that was on August 16th. Also since I'm already posting, might as well ask. Does this defeat a dcr pool purpose, autobidding from the GUI? yeah sounds lazy not to try the wallet before asking but I'll get to it... feel free to ignore the question  Smiley

Yobit have set up a request system for all coin under "maintenance"

• Free (8-14 business days) - 0 btc
• Premium (5-7 business days) - 0.2 btc
• Exclusive (2-4 business days) - 0.5 btc

https://yobit.net/en/maintenance_request/

The yobit guy must have been drunk when he came up with that 'service'

Well, it's up to the donors. I asked for what i needed and used it to produce what I promised. If users like what i have managed thus far, they will fund continuation of the project. For someone who says he has a vested interest in this project's success, he acts quite contrary.

I say? I personally paid you 3.5BTC for a sixth of the pre-mine plus 0.73BTC total daily bids and I can sign with that BTC address. Don't pretend like you doubt I own any.
What did I get from that? well 1M from the 3.5 BTC and from my 0.73BTC bids I got about half the BCR I should have received I and EVERY OTHER BIDDER were skipped around half the daily blocks and those blocks went to you or to dragos. Now you will reply that the bidding was flawed etc but that didn't stop you from being quiet about those BCR you were getting daily, BCR that were not yours and were dumped constantly. And you act like nothing is wrong with that ....

But wait there's more!

The cherry on top is that out of the current circulating BCR my percentage will be devalued with a sudden influx of new shares you are creating out of thin air for your new crowdfund and blockshares... One current share = 0.28 now, an effective drop of 72% .... How sweet is that?

Well excuse me for not trusting you I guess I'm the bad guy!? wtf

You want to be funded? earn and work for those funds on a per needed basis you have got to answer to the people who blindingly trust you with their btc, unfortunately for you and me, I am one of them.

175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ◈◈UNIQREDIT P2P LENDING✔✔ BLOCKSHARES✔✔ TECHSTRAP ◈◈ on: July 10, 2016, 09:12:33 PM
Ok since you decided to move to a new slack out of nowhere. etc.  Let's continue here.

Where or who is going to hold these new funds from blockshares and the upcoming crowdfund?

It should be released via vote by the share holders. You might be the pope but we're in this context of anonimity, investors need asurance.... the less trust needed, the healthier for everyone. Submit a budget and let the community decide if you get the funds or not.

I find it strange that you want to *continue* here. Last i checked we were discussing the rules for the voting system. I think the simplest and fairest rule to ensure that a majority is what has voted, not a highly organized minority is to require a 60% voter turn  out . Your suggestion to keep the vote between yes/no makes the assumption that there will only ever be two options, which i think will not be the case. So now with 60% of eligible voters having cast votes, i think that we can then use a simple tally. We can of course go a little further and attempt to apply something like STV or an alternative vote system, depending on user response to this post.

The voting dynamic can be worked out etc.

The issue at hand is the BTC you will receive for further funding. You were given 21 BTC for the premine plus 3 BTC from bidders recently. There is no precedence for transparency or accountability

Not to mention the BCR that bidders paid for and were awarded to you instead, effectively funding you twice there. It always should have been transparent and 100% accountable more so now with the new round of funding you're seeking.

the exact amount wont show up on the list as long as they are on an exchange. exchanges have multiple addresses

hope that helped:)

deposits will add up with your accounting.... withdrawals is not the case nor current balance on your deposit address.

Renewels are 0.06 BTC for 6 months, and 0.1 BTC for 12 months...

If anyone is willing to renew the period, PM me, and I will update to my latest source...

Cheers,

Hi Banzai,

Thanks for keeping it going this extra time. I'll pm you for payment for another 6 months.

What determines whether I succeed in buying a ticket or not?

When the price was 17.53 yesterday, I manually tried to purchase a ticket within the first 5 minutes.

The coins got committed but after the price changed, 12 hours later, they just returned to me instead of a ticket.

Is it pure luck and trying to be fast does not help?

There's a utility on the recent release that can do a lot of ticket/fee intelligence, so that you can get your tickets in, without having to go crazy high on fees. I'm still just doing it the manual way, and no trouble here  Cool

can we get that implemented in the pool? with like an opt-in checkbox

Hey @proletariat,

It's implicitly a client-side application, in that whole purpose for the utility, is to give all users a sophisticated ticket buying application, and this is something that only the users can do, never the pool (as the pool does not control any actual user funds). It does integrate with pool staking, in that you can just use the utility to make your ticket buying more competitive, and still have the pool voting for you.

The utility is called dcrticketbuyer, and it's included with the last couple of releases.
https://github.com/decred/decred-release/releases

Some usage info here, though there was some forum post that I don't recall now:
https://github.com/decred/dcrticketbuyer

Setting up might be a bit tricky/complicated, but once that's done, it should be easy as pie, and much more convenient than manual purchases. Like I said, I haven't tried this myself yet.

Cheers!

Fair enough. Thanks for the thorough explanation.
Cheers!
