Thanks PascalCoin Dev for using my service, hopefully you will contact me again in the future as you need again a signature design.

Thank for the awesome feedback via PM Smiley

I'm not the Dev though. Just your average crypto enthusiast.  Our dev is @PascalCoin https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=888208

I got about 1190 Accounts, are these actually worth anything ?

Why would someone give them for free? There seems to be a little support in the books on cryptopia. U can dump ur coins.

New accounts are only acquired by mining a block. Not everyone can mine. There isn't a formal market for accounts yet and we need the user base to grow.

Oh, that's very kind if someone can share 1 account with me!  Unusual for the crypto-community. Much appreciated.

My public key is:

I'm very new to that coin, I have the v1.3.0 currently running and it seems synced, but I don't know if it mines anything (on processor) and I don't think it will mine me some account within some reasonable time.

Also, I apologize for potentially stupid questions, but anyone knows whenever it is possible to run it in the portable mode? I mean having a wallet and a chain data within the application folder stored on some usb-stick. I found my current data inside a "C:\Users\carap\AppData\Roaming\PascalCoin", but which command line parameter I should use in order to have a custom location (if possible). I couldn't find any help file explaining parameters (wiki is not covering that area), except some of them being mentioned in the ## HISTORY section of the readme.txt

I love pascal as a programming language and still code in it sometimes. I don't get how something like Java became so much more popular than pascal/delphi. Anyway, that is not to start a holly war, but to send my respects to the creator of pascal coin! Thank you for the amazing work you've done!

I had some troubles with compiling sources on Lazarus running at win7 32bit, it tells me "Cannot load  libeay64.dll", strangely enough, official openssl packages like
openssl-1.0.2j-x64_86-win64.zip contains only libeay32.dll
Finally, when I found libeay64.dll via google, downloaded it and placed it in the program folder, application gave me another error: "libeay64.dll id either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again bla-bla-bla...". At some point that haven't surprised me much, that is 64bit library and I have a 32bit system.  I have few other projects working with SSL on Lazarus and for my 32bit system they use all the *32.dll libraries.
May be I should change some compilers directives inside the sources, but I don't think like touching this masterpiece with my dirty hands Smiley

Also, I don't have a system suitable for mining anything, so I'm more into trading. And I want to buy some pascal coins, not as investment, but as a little respect towards the programming language, that Pascal Coin project written in it and the creator of that coin. I'm glad I can have some on cryptopia, but I don't like the idea of having my funds stored on the common account of the market. I want to get them transferred to my personal account, but I don't have one. So I'm awaiting for some market to begin trading accounts as well, or trading accounts with some coins inside - that be great! So I'm still watching for that to happen  Roll Eyes

My Respects to Albert Molina and everyone who helped him with Pascal Coin

@carap

Try to ask adaseb, I think he's got some spare accounts.

I have them! or some at least.

@carap
I'll need your public key.

The devs have to mine decred or buy them on exchanges just like everyone else.  We don't have any special way to get them.

So the dev block subsidy is only for RfPs?

*EDIT*

Also, could you clarify dbt1033's understanding that DCR payments are made at a fixed rate of fifty cents independent from market price?

Don't just throw them. Remember not everyone is willing to mine .... They can be used as give aways  for pascal related retweets or something..
Having said that... I'll take some off your hands if you don't want them

Post your public key and ill send you some. How many you want?

all of them? I'll redistribute them with retweets or some sort of community involvement.

I am getting some invalid char at 80/103 when I try to send you some.

I just tried it and it works. I transfered one account to that key and it is pending. I don't see the space mirny is referring to though. Are you on wallet version 1.2.0?

*edit* mirny is right. for some reason it inserts a space there but quoting the text removes it while editing the post...

I sent you 289 accounts, let me know you received them.

Received. I'll put them to good use, thanks.

The 50 cent range is an interesting one because that's the value Company 0 uses to pay developers...  I would expect some sideways motion here unless we are truly rekt.

well that is new  Roll Eyes ... where did you get that from? If they were paying at a set rate of $.50 even when it was $2.5 that would mean a big fuck you to rest of us people buying on the exchanges.
Hope it is and always has been at market rate which would make sense else it is fuckin criminal. People aren't blind and the project has a good rep given the constant development but at what fuckin price are we getting that development? they are charging an outrageous premium if perpetual $.50 is the case, and if you add to that the fact that claymore farms are getting free dcr from mining eth then this shit is not close to the bottom, no even close.

inbefore the "claymore is not free dcr because it consumes more electrity" yeah big chinese farms interested in mining eth for profit have their full attention on ETH ... they are not going to say no to free dcr and autodump.. even dumping at 1 satoshi would be profit for them..

That's been known since the beginning...  the devs can't sell their coins until Feb 2017 (when I'm expecting an uprise).  How is it unfair?  The dev team is paid in $DCR or has to buy $DCR with their own money.  They just get a sweeter deal (the same deal you get now) because they are shouldering all of the work.

Dev team gets 10% from every block and have set an example around this context transparency wise with full accountability of how that is spent, I respect that, we're not used to that around this place.

Now my understanding was that their funding cost math resulted in $.50 / DCR, that was what it had costed them to produce everything til the mainnet genesis block. That set a precedent in terms of price discovery to let the market go wild like it is supposed to. I honestly do not remember reading about a perpetual set USD exchange rate for DCR coming out of the daily block subsidy for developers. That certainly is not fair for market participants.

this thing is transparent and I personally love it. It might not make sense at first because we're very used to the bitcoin QT but I bet someone new to crypto would find it very straight forward because of the fact that it is works as a bank account and is as transparent as it can be. No need to go to an external website and learn how to read a block explorer etc.

Been playing with the wallet and figured I'd record some stuff for those that haven't seen how this thing works

Video from the cryptopia account:

Then I followed the last incoming transaction to cryptopia and found a youtube link in the payload of some old transaction....

Also searching and navigating transactions is snappy as hell.. no lag etc..........Pretty cool stuff! to me at least  Cheesy

Keeping an eye on it. I rarely do so, opted out of day trading. This one may play out, so keeping an eye on it for now.

are you keeping an eye on it? Do you usually do so? do you day trade? I want to know all about you  Smiley

How about just create a new genesis block and call it chocolatecoin?

That would be groundbreaking but i think it is taken. Plan B?

how send coin at exchange?

Exchange must provide a public key (like, for example, 3GhhbovFXcR3Wri8CE6Z4n6RRx8XGVTrzCBRgBQuYeBhSJftvcF5RahahLuu94fhuNFvGkpVrxR3sW5 q52jeAxcpRPL4zmeQR4o4BZ ). (Public keys can be generated by the wallet using JSON-RPC methods)

Then user must change account owner of one of his accounts by inserting Exchange public key

After that, exchange will have 1 account assigned to this public key (with it's coin balance), and user can send more coins simply sending coins to this account number.

It's easy... because when you work with accounts it's like when you work with a traditional bank.

Example:
- User has a free account 182610-61 (with balance of 100 PASC)
- User executes a "Transfer account to a new owner" operation, inserting exchange public key 3GhhbovFXcR3Wri8CE6Z4n6RRx8XGVTrzCBRgBQuYeBhSJftvcF5RahahLuu94fhuNFvGkpVrxR3sW5 q52jeAxcpRPL4zmeQR4o4BZ
- Exchange will receive account 182610-61 and also 100 coins.
- If user wants to send more coins to the exchange, just send coins to account 182610-61

Also, if user changes other accounts owner to Exchange's public key, Exchange will have more than 1 account associated to this user... introducing the possibility to trade accounts too.

Too complicated all Sad, need videotutorial this exchange is rare....., I do not see that I'm getting anywhere provide a public key

He explained how a traditional exchange like Bittrex or Polo etc might go about integrating PASCAL to their pipeline. So don't get confused by that post as it has nothing to do with how the current and only exchange -bitsquare- operates.

Bitsquare software only handles the base currency BTC acting as an automated escrow, Pascal coins are never in the bitsquare ecosystem - you send or receive to the buyer/seller directly to their wallets. I see no difference from openbazaar honestly, Apart from the traditional looking charts and books.

Too complicated all Sad, need videotutorial this exchange is rare....., I do not see that I'm getting anywhere provide a public key

Bitsquare is rare? Or PascalCoin is rare? Or both?

Edited: Both. But amazing!

what we have a here is a rethinking of the digital currency exchange mechanics not some latest hype cloned anon app dapp zero this fluff ... Takes connected people to get the word out though AND exchange operators willing to step out of their comfort zones with their backend instead of being clones of each other too, just with different GUIs.
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SINGULARDTV (ETHEREUM) - Launch Completed! on: November 28, 2016, 11:31:39 AM

Polo was a given but apparently they decided not to list it given the dividend nature of the singles token and polo's SEC regulations etc.

Has anything changed? else it is at the mercy of an iliquid exchange. I think plenty of people bailed because of that.... and of course the lack of any hypeable stuff to get people's attention.
