I believe in ethereum, in my opinion bitcoin will exist for several more years, and then it will go to retirement. The future of ethereum should be promising. You almost read my thoughts. I also think that bitcoin will retire in a couple of years. It's time to give way to younger and more promising coins. Bitcoin will remain king, all these coins are weighed up against bitcoin. And bitcoin will go through it's needed developments as well. What if btc all of the sudden adds smart contracts?

Why not sell it for bitcoin and use the exchanges or services you normally use to cash out your bitcoin?

I would definitely go ethereum if I were you, I currently don't even really see waves as a competitor. Waves might have more growth though.

A safe haven would suggest the price holds pretty good when bitcoin for example goes down, the past few weeks proved that's not the case yet.

I could not imagine that Ethereum will grow to $1300. It is really going very strong. Of course it fall down at the moment but it is temporary.
I'm sure it is temporary. This news from asian countries makes great advantages for their crypto holders. I think we will see price more than 1300 bucks in the future after Chinese New year At least 1200 I think, along with a rising bitcoin, going back to a healthy 15000.

I've been holding on to a few of them since the fork. I sold them off early for around $5, wish I hadn't. But long term this coin will not be able to compete with ETH I think so as well. Ethereum is on a whole different level, ethclassic can't keep up with them.

Many coins will recover soon, I am pretty sure of that. I have actually bought a decent amount of coins today since they seemed to be on sale.

I always go for a solid foundation, like good features and good devs. Preferably with a fair coin distribution.

Honestly it wouldn't be such a bad thing for my portfolio if that happened. But I just can't see ethereum going up like that in the near future.

I'm not hating on alts at all. If anything I feel they are forcing crypto to advance faster. Of course we all dislike the scams, but scams also occur with bitcoin.
|
|

I don't think it's the trading in itself that is addicting. Maybe it's the hunger for money Would people trade and care this much if bitcoin was worthless and didnt have value?
|
|
|
There has been some blood in the streets, but alts that are down 30-50% now aren't the best projects to invest in I guess. Most decent alts are - 10-15% now.

"the new microsoft of blockchain". Some of the things posted here are just hilarious to read.

Good, 2 more coin threads I don't need to look at and participate in. Good luck dumping these.

Aslong as people disclose they are being paid then I'm not concerned, in the end it is a form of marketing even if the word sounds rather negative.
But of course they don't disclose they are getting paid. There wouldn't be any use left in them shilling if everyone knows they are getting paid and just talking out of their ass.

Bitcoin is more decentralized although it's arguable how decentralized it is looking at the hash of some mining pools. One example with eth, the whole dao fiasco, look how they pushed the update through, they decided everything themselves...centralized.

Bitcoin is going mainstream, has a rare supply and is hard to get. Combine that with the current demand and you get high prices.

i think this is the problem with every exchange they such a big usersgroup but nobody to support this. i have raised tickets with 3 different exchanges non of them answer within the week.
one week is normal but i wait 10 weeks and after 4 weeks no more reply this isnt normal and due to the circumstance of the raising usergroup unacceptable. They earn every day millions. I agree, with all the money they are making from trading fee's, advertising etc etc, the support should definitely be better.

Keep the altcoins you believe in, and just try to get profit with the pump and dump meme coins and such.

I really wonder if Warren Buffett truly understands the underlying technology behind crypto and bitcoin, something tells me he doesn't
