161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: removal of taxes on bitcoin and recognition as currency is booming in the world on: July 05, 2017, 06:58:41 AM
Japan exempts bitcoin from Consumption Tax

The exemption from Japan’s 8% indirect tax regime recognizes bitcoin as a private currency used for the exchange of goods or services, and that the currencies hold no intrinsic value. The measure has come into force from 1 July 2017.

Traders of bitcoin will though remain liable to tax on their gains – capital gains tax or corporate income tax.

Australian's New Budget Includes a Bitcoin Tax Cut

Australia has officially confirmed it will treat Bitcoin “just like money” from this year and it will no longer be subject to double taxation.

Woo hoo! As an Australian Bitcoiner myself, I can't tell you how excited I am to here this, out of all the countries in the world, I can believe that my own country has decided to make Bitcoin mainstream.

I think this change will really give bitcoin the media attention it needs and change the way some people think about bitcoin. This should definelty mean more merchant acceptance, especially in Australia. We will wait until August the first where the future of Bitcoin will be chosen
162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ransomware Cyberattack ask for Bitcoin on: July 05, 2017, 01:09:41 AM
It started in Ukraine. A new ransomware struck computers and soon spread internationally. It cripples computers and digital operating system by taking control of them and demanding digital ransom from their owners to regain access to it. Guess what the digital ransom is?

It is Bitcoin! These hackers are using Bitcoin pseudo-anonymity to terrorise households. This is an international phenomenon and many security agencies have their eyes on Bitcoin. I think that hacks that occur remotely in the cyber world and demands ransom, will continue to ask Bitcoin as the ransom. Bitcoin is the perfect tool for such crime. What do you guys think?

Another case of Bitcoin being shown in a bad way, there are heaps of ways to make money go anonymous and guess what the most anonymous form of money is? It's cash, cash can hardly be tracked.

Bitcoin will always be used for illegal purposes, but that isn't a reason to stop using it. Cash and banks can be used to do illegal things but that doesn't stop them from being used. People who have no knowledge of Bitcoin will get influenced by this and have a bad opinion of Bitcoin, which really sucks.
163  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin *A Game Changer* on: July 05, 2017, 12:59:12 AM
Do you think bitcoin is a Game Changer? If yes then enlist your reasons?

For me:

1.Bitcoin changes financial condition of many people who don't have any source of income before joining bitcoin.
2. It give platform to investor to get high profit by investing money.
3. Many people start their business offline by earning from bitcoin.

Of course its a game changer and that is mostly due to how Bitcoin is not controlled by anyone, and how it is decentralised. It gives people kinda off a buffer if there Fiat currency goes down in value, because Bitcoin will not be affected, or affected very little. Since it is also decentralised, it gives people financial freedom. It also breaks the normal payment methods and has the potential to become mainstream, especially after the recent news there has been an influx of merchant acceptances.
164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is working fine! No change needed! on: July 05, 2017, 12:40:55 AM
Bitcoin has proven, that it is works fine, even through times of different attack modes (FUD, spam, patenting, +, XT, RV, CW etc). I don't think we have a pressure to raise the blocksize or to force the mass adaption. We don't need no SegWit to make Bitcoin great again, because it is already. Give this baby time to grow, folks.

I agree with half your point, since Bitcoin right now is great and it needs no change. But who says that in the next 5 years Bitcoin will still stay on top, we need to start improving Bitcoin right now, for us to keep up with all the other alt coins that are trying to overtake Bitcoin. There are still issues right now that are related to Bitcoin, but they are relatively small (transaction fees, long confirmation times),  Segwit should fix the miner fees, which is a good since for the growth of bitcoin
165  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin making people an Introvert on: July 05, 2017, 12:36:20 AM
hey guys I am back with another creepy thought. I hope you guys know the term Introvert and Extrovert if not then here is a short description. Introvert are the person who like to stay alone and are more concentrated on their work, but on the other hand Extrovert are the people who are more Social(talkative) or building their friends network . they spend most of their time chatting or checking emails. so I think bitcoin is effecting everyone on the internet to be an Introvert. I have created many good topics so if any of the topic helped you or if you are an Introvert then give me a green trust. and by the way I am an Introvert too.(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NLXyag83AGA)

Well, it seems unfair to just put all the blame on one thing and say that causes people to become introverts, Bitcoin is a simple cryptocurrency, so there is really no way it could make people introverts. What I think makes peopl introverts, is the internet itself. Before the internet everyone would be social and talk outside, but now with the internet, people are thinking, why go outside when I can talk to people on the internet.

What you are saying is that money makes people introverts, which doesn't really make sense, since I am an extrovert and also interested in Bitcoin. I'll love to hear your thoughts on what part of Bitcoin makes people introverts
166  Economy / Services / Re: Let your Facebook account make money while you sleep on: July 04, 2017, 08:31:08 AM
Dear All,
Herewith i am bringing an excellent opportunity for all and you can earn from 10 usd upto 25 usd for your Facebook account ( 25 usd for US Customer and 10 usd for outside USA ). For that you need to have paypal account, skype id and Facebbok account. It must be noted that during set up of your facebook account with them you should reveal your facebook details to them, so whosoever are interested, then can PM me. For your reference, i am posting my proof of payment.

There are heaps of things wrong with this

1. First your a newbie with negative trust, after some digging, your other 2 posts were promoting a ponzi scheme and the other one was asking for a loan without any collertal.

2. Who would give their information out to any stranger, with a single comment you are able to find out heaps of information related to that person, and giving that information to a random stranger on the internet? Yeah sure sounds safe.

There is an identical thread in Micro Earnings section. Same pictures.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1869476.0

I don't think it's a legit task, it's too good to be true and offers like this aren't disponible for anyone.

Good find, just confirms that this guy is a scammer even more.
167  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin ending up like Yahoo in the future? on: July 04, 2017, 07:55:15 AM
Yahoo was the first (?) search engine at the time when Internet started.  It was the pioneer in its field.  In the late 90's its market cap reached to a high closed to $120B.   Three and a half years after Yahoo started, Google came out and gradually took away market share from Yahoo.

After 22 years, Verizon bought it for $4.8B.  Would Bitcoin ending up like Yahoo in the future and got beat up by new competitions?

What do you think?  Please provide your reason(s) to support your view.

This definitely could happen no doubt, but the thing about bitcoin that differentiates it from other alt coins is that it is decentralised, plus Yahoo made heaps of mistakes, search was enough, but they then went on to expand and failed miserably. They had good offer for their company, but they refused to sell until they were first to. There have been other cryptocurrencies before bitcoin also, but they all flopped. Maybe in the future we will see other alt coins that have newer features and maybe then bitcoin will be overthrown. Let's hope that bitcoin doesn't make as much mistakes as Yahoo, and we will definitely be fine for 10 to 20 years.
168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [BREAKING NEWS]: South Korea to Legalize Bitcoin!!!! on: July 04, 2017, 05:42:15 AM
This hot news is currently breaking on all the wires. South Korea is on the verge of legalising Bitcoin. Fill your bags...

https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/south-korea-preparing-legalize-bitcoin/

Updates to follow as we receive them...

Looks like the asian countries are making a move. This is good and bad in my opinion, since it will benefit bitcoin with even more media attention and more merchant acceptance, but bad for the government who now landed themselves an issues. People will definitely use bitcoin for tax evasion and the Korean Government is going to have a hard time stopping it.

It is good new on the whole though, great to see more progress made for bitcoin to become mainstream and accepted worldwide. Hope to see more updates later on.
169  Economy / Services / Re: I want some jobs that paid via BTC on: July 04, 2017, 05:19:39 AM
I'm free now and I want to participate in any jobs  Grin if you wanna cooperate with me please send me a pm or comment here.
I can do many jobs, from easy to hard, except code jobs ...LOL, I'mnot good at this one
I can use proxy, sock, change, vpn, vps and more

Well to start, maybe list out what your services are in the title, like "Graphic designer for hire, Posters, Banners and more!" It would attract some people for sure. Since your only a newbie, if you have any jobs, you most likely would have to go first, due to your lack of trust.

you can try use https://workingforbitcoins.com , is freelancer platform and paid with bitcoin for now. Its good way to start.

Yeah working for bitcoins is a good website to start, and can support freelancing. I would personally recommend finding people who will hire you for writing articles, the rate is usually around 10 dollars for a 1000 essay. Try find a job that matches your interest or it will just be boring for you. Good Luck in finding a job!
170  Economy / Exchanges / Re: buy btc's by credit card on: July 04, 2017, 05:12:00 AM
Hello everyone,

On what platform can we buy btc's by credit card?

Thanks in advance for your future responses !!

See you soon Smiley
'

Hello, I am pretty sure if you live in some states in the USA you are allowed to buy bitcoin with credit card, but I would recommend not using it since the interest fees would be ridiculous, even if you are only purchasing one or to bitcoin. Try save up some money on your bank account or other online wallets and then, using localbitcoins or other websites, buy bitcoin off them.

Also, a hard fork is coming so I would recommend getting a hardware wallet such as ledger wallet to store your bitcoin.
171  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where should i invest 45 BTC risk free on: July 04, 2017, 01:04:04 AM
I have been buying bitcoin when the price was around 400$-450$.Most of my bitcoins are bought at that price around 40 BTC and remaining at less then 600$ price.i have been holding btc in paper wallet since then and already my stash in usd is 6 times.
here is one of my tx

what i want to know is please suggest some ways to invest my bitcoin at zero risk to earn some profit.Even 0.8% to 1% profit per month is good for me but it should be risk free.i don't mind the profit percentage but risk should not be there.if you have some suggestions please post that too,if i should keep holding for more years and if yes how long should i hold?

Nice job dude! Can't believe you were one of the early investors to bitcoin. Is that 700% growth not good enough to for you. My advice to you is wait for the hard fork to happen and after that see what happens to Bitcoin. Right now the best investment you could do, which is not entirely risk free, is just hold bitcoin. With all these countries adapted to Bitcoin, there is definitely potential for another huge surge. Every investment has risk no matter what.

Good luck with your investments!
172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is instant way to get rich ? on: July 04, 2017, 12:53:37 AM
what do you think about this topic?

There will never be any other little to none opportunities of getting rich quick. Just because Bitcoin is a fairly new currency compared to Fiat currency, it doesn't mean that you can just some quick money off that. Money is earned through work. The people who invested in bitcoin when it was only a few cents are now millionaires, because they had the wisdom and insight and knew that Bitcoin has potential.

Bitcoin is more of an "get rich slow" and if your invest in it now, who says you won't be living in mansion when. Your 40.
173  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Investing in Bitcoin / Storage on: July 04, 2017, 12:48:27 AM
New member here, but i have a question that i need some help with. Im looking to get into bitcoin on the enxt pullback around when the RSI gets to about 25-30 which should put the price around 1900-2000 and plan on using bitstamp. My question is this : Im aware that buying bitcoin on an exchange is risky due to hacks and although bitstamp keeps 98% of the funds offline, i still want to put in my own cold storage wallet. Any suggestions which wallets? Also how would i then send it back to the exchange? Im guessing through the bitcoin physical address given to you?

Basically what is the best way to go about this? I want to do it mainly as a 2-3 month short term investment and and sell it around 3k hopefully for a 50% gain and am looking to put in about 40,000 in it.

Hey so, since your buying it off an exchange and only keeping it for short term use, it's a bit of a pickle there. Since your only doing this for the short term, it would be illogical to invest a couple of grand on cold storage, and since your not even doing to use it I would just recommend using different hardware wallets. I would recommend trezor or ledger wallet and buying 5 or six of them and spilting the Bitcoin up between them. Maybe you should consider holding 2 or 3 coins for the long term, but that's up to you.

Good luck in your investment!

"Regulators Needs the Blockchain Master Key" — Morgan Stanley
http://internetmarketing.freedombucks.ws/morgan-stanley-regulators-need-the-blockchain-master-keys-3/

Insecured Elites are about to takeover the Blockchain. It's more like few people taking over the Internet.
For the first time in my life I am very terrified of our future. This people are not government, I know what they are capable of. They claim that regulating the New Internet (Blockchain) will increase the price of Bitcoin, this is a big lie.

Why are you not worried brothers? . How can you create a beautiful technology only for a few dangerous people to hijack it.
The people we are about to entrust the Blockchain network on are capable of wiping out a whole community. They are dangerous people.
Wake up everybody, we are about to be enslaved. Wake up.

Don't believe everything people say, especially on the internet. Just because the regulators want a master key to bitcoin, doesn't mean they will succeed. There is no risk here, although the banks may eventually centralise Bitcoin but the thing is: even if Bitcoin gets centralised, there will be more and more decentralised alt coins, so there is no point of doing that.

People have tried to find the master key to bitcoin but they have all failed. It's just rumours and you have nothing to fear.
175  Other / Off-topic / Re: What wallets do you use? on: July 03, 2017, 07:21:04 AM
Which one suits you the most?

I use 3 wallets all for different reasons

1. For my mobile and quick wallets I use coinjar, since I like the app (coinjar touch) and the UI is relatively easy to use. I usually have less than one btc here and I use it when I'm out and about or shopping on my phone.

2. For my desktop wallet I use electrum wallet, since it is relatively safe and the main purpose of this wallet is just for shopping and for my gaming needs, I have around one to 3 Bitcoin here.

3. For my 3rd wallet, I use a ledger wallet where I store my bulk of my Bitcoin which is around 10.
176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin about the free world, but not for us in the Middle East! on: July 03, 2017, 07:11:36 AM
It's not so straightforward to buy bitcoin  in the Middle East. Yes, I have tried everything. If bitcoin was about the free world, why all the exchanges ask for very strict verification that even the stock exchanges don't ask for?  I have never had to take a selfie with my passport in my entire 40 yrs of life until I came in to the bitcoin world, what the heck?!! All the exchanges take ages to verify and when they do, they discriminate those from the middle east. Most of them don't allow us to use fiat currency to buy bitcoin, so how the hell new comers will buy it? The barriers of entry to the bitcoin world are too many for people in middle east, am sick of it.

I find the conventional banks much easier to deal with than  the bitcoin exchanges. Guess what? I was successfully registered in one after waiting for a month, only to be told I can't spend more than  300 Dollars a week in buying bitcoin, seriously??? I freaking have thousands of dollars to invest and they want me to spend 300 dollars a week for a coin worth $2500???

Now, the easy way is to buy from others, but I am gonna have to pay a premium of 10 to 20 pct above fair market value to buy and that's BS!

I am thinking to start my own ICO for an exchange that has commercial sense an open to the world. We need a revolution here.

That happens everywhere, whenever I convert Bitcoins to Fiat currency I need to have I'd and whenever I buy Bitcoin of Coinbase, I need to have to a verified account which need ID to be verified. Everyone need ID to buy Bitcoin it's not just your country.

You can try finding people who sell Bitcoin for not that much of a fee, or use localbitcoins, Coinbase, coinjar to buy off. It's also not Bitcoins fault, it the government. It isn't Bitcoin itself which is making it hard for you to purchase but your goverment instead. Why is it so simple for me in Australia to buy bitcoin? It's because our government is more lenient towards buying Bitcoin. Truly sorry you are unable to buy Bitcoin from your area, but I hope you figure out a way.
177  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer - mixing reinvented on: July 03, 2017, 07:02:10 AM
We have received reply from Electrum author. Plugin won't be included in wallet by default. Author believes it would create a law risk to add mixer into wallet. Our hook was merged so our plugin will work with new version, but it will need to be installed separately.

We have published an article at r/Bitcoin about how to use ChipMixer to avoid upcoming "declare cryptocurrencies" US law: https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/6jzc41/easy_way_to_avoid_upcoming_us_declare_btc_law/

Good thinking! Having mixing in your wallet will definetly make it a bit risky and that might cause your product to get banned, it's a good idea but unfortunately I didn't work out the way you wanted it to. At least the plugin is a bit of a compromise.

Read the article and it seems to be well written, should definelty attract some attention to your service.

I think that the rate your going CM you have a real chance of becoming the most popular mixing service, especially with all these features. It really differentiaties you guys from just being average, to being excellent. Good luck in the future chipmixer!
178  Other / Off-topic / Re: What to do with my bitcoins ? on: July 03, 2017, 06:53:04 AM
Hello everyone,
I would like that each one participates in sharing the different sites shopping online (International) that accept the bitcoin, as well as different ways to spend BTC, thank you.
Your questions is a bit confusing, but I'll try answer this the best I can. Some online sites do accept Bitcoin, for example an online market place for games called Opskins accepts it, although Bitcoin has yet to become mainstream yet. As for shopping online, technically you could use Bitcoin for everything, by buying gift card and using them for the different sites.

Don't know what you mean by different ways to spend Bitcoin so I can't answer that for you.
179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin overcome Paypal? on: July 02, 2017, 11:27:04 PM
Do you think that sometime in the future, Bitcoin might overcome Paypal, as it scales in capacity and userbase over the years?

We already have the ability to create our own marketplace with OpenBazaar, that uses Bitcoin as its payment method, so it should be no surprise that the combination of these two may be a fierce competition for both eBay and Paypal.

Nevertheless, feel free to vote on the poll above and express your opinion about it, if desired.  Grin

I voted maybe, since Bitcoin definelty has the potential to overcome PayPal and become mainstream. In fact, Bitcoin has more advantages over PayPal. But the thing is, a lot of people are heavy users off PayPal, and you could argue using PayPal would be easier than Bitcoin. Since there so many people who are using PayPal regularly, it would be used to overcome that hurdle and transfer all the PayPal customers to Bitcoin.

I think what we really need for Bitcoin to grow into its final form, is for it to recieve even more media attention. The Japan incident was nice but we need more more countries to accept Bitcoin for it to become mainstream and overtake paypal
180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Offline Wallets Vs Online Wallets on: July 02, 2017, 11:22:40 PM
Which of the Bitcoin wallets between the Online and Offline works best?

Online wallets which are wallets like coinjar, blockchain, Coinbase are wallets that are always online which makes it very easy to hack wallets like them. For online wallets though it is usually very convient and safe to store under one Bitcoin there. For example I use coinjar as my spending wallet since it.is very convenient and since I only have less than one Bitcoin there.

For offline wallets they are more safe, since people can't hack you unless your using the wallet. And also if a hard fork comes, there is no guarantee that the money you have on an online wallet will still be there after the hard fork. For offline wallets though, that just doesn't apply to you.
