I'll probably buy back at full price + interest anything under 25 BTC, really. I have yet to make a decision.

Do you get all the share holder information from btct or do we need to act somehow?
I added a public BTC address on btct and I would like to sell you my shares (<=5 BTC) back with interest.

I already have all the info. You can still update BTC address on btct.co

Make sure you don't lose that address. I will wait until no more changes can be made to addresses.

public btc address for payment

ROFLOL This was 500BTC loan, I would suspect that large holders would have to have at least like 5k shares (Fidy bitcoins).
Imagine Namjies to handle random 300 dust payment in hiss wallet with sendmany every month...

I'll probably buy back at full price + interest anything under 25 BTC, really. I have yet to make a decision.

I've posted news on BTCT.co, emailed to all holders. Here it is again.

Hello,

I've received news from Havelock.

With BTCT.co closing down, Bitfunder blocking US people and Havelock not accepting new assets, I will be closing down this PT.

All assets will be claimable on coinbr.com starting November 1st to be traded directly with MPEx orderbook. Coinbr's monthly fees of 0.09 BTC will be waived if you withdraw everything from your account before the end of November. I've paid for Coinbr's withdrawal fees (0.1 BTC) to be waived. You will have until the end of November to claim your assets.

YOU MUST BE ABLE TO SIGN A MESSAGE ON BITCOIND (Bitcoin-qt) WITH YOUR BTC ADDRESS ON FILE! MAKE SURE YOUR PUBLIC BITCOIN ADDRESS ON BTCT.co IS ONE YOU CONTROL IN FULL (HAVE PRIVATE KEY). YOU WILL HAVE TO PRODUCE SUCH SIGNATURE TO CLAIM YOUR ASSETS.

Regards

Does that mean we have to wait until november 1st to claim the assets? Could we have them transferred to our coinbr account sooner than that?

Yes, it means waiting until november 1st. It's so people have as much time as possible to claim assets and then get out if they don't wish to pay monthly fees, which are not charged on empty accounts. A form will be created for people to claim assets and paste a signed message with their Bitcoin address on file.

Good thing I remembered to check this thread today.  Claim submitted for my modest quantity of shares.  What is the estimated value of a share and previous dividends these days?

Probably around 0.2 BTC or so in backdated dividends.
166  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC] BitVPS on: October 13, 2013, 10:36:23 PM
Thank you for the update, bad news are much better than no news at all : )

Still not the end of the world, it will get a bit complicated, but as long as who will be in charge is willing, we can go on a few months without an exchange.
Either with direct shares or waiting for the new exchange based on btct code.

PS: exchange or no exchange, I will expect to still receive monthly updates, right? (and the delay of this month is obviously very acceptable)

Yes, we should have monthly statements in order.
167  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC] BitVPS on: October 13, 2013, 10:27:06 PM
Hello,

As said on other threads, Havelock is not accepting new assets. Bitfunder does not accept US businesses. I am currently unsure about what will be done with shares.

As for statements, I am personally leaving BitVPS and needs to show arij how to do statements and transfer him all passwords and info needed to manage finances. He's been quite busy lately dealing with transfers however. There will be no dividend for September as we made new purchases. We're also moving to a private cabinet at NYI. We might keep making acquisition, focus on advertising and accumulate profits until a solution is found. Havelock may start accepting new assets at some point, but want to check some things first.

I will have to discuss these matters further with the others.

(As a sidenote, as some may know, when RG abandoned BitVPS, I accepted to join as RG had sold me a large amount of shares prior to that. I still have my shares and even more than before and will remain a shareholder.)

There is currently no acceptable place to move the asset. Havelock is not accepting new assets and BTCT.co is closing down and Bitfunder is closing down to US.

Bonds will be bought back. For large holders who would wish to stay, they will be able to lend me funds directly under new terms (1% per month), paid directly to their BTC address.

Please make sure you provided a public BTC address on BTCT.co and that it is accurate. PAYMENTS WILL BE MADE TO THAT ADDRESS!

Namjies please get the userlist before you can't. Trading should be halted soon

I currently receive users list by email twice a day as an issuer, last dating from 2 AM today. Once trading halt, the website itself is supposed to run until the 30th. I'll wait for more news from Ethan.
171  Economy / Securities / [SecondMarket] Bitcoin Investment Trust™ (Non-Official thread) on: September 28, 2013, 11:23:50 PM
Newly launched Bitcoin Investment Trust™

Now featured on homepage of SecondMarket https://www.secondmarket.com - https://www.secondmarket.com/fund/bitcoin-investment-trust

A trust for accredited investor to invest in Bitcoin without any of the hassles of securing and holding bitcoins. This looks exactly like what the Winklevoss twins hoped to do. Except its done by a SecondMarket subsidiary.

There's only a few posts about it in speculation sub-forum, looks like it missed the securities forum.

I've had good results trading. But you have to keep track of what you're trading and be careful. Plenty of landmines out there.

Hello,

I've been away this weekend. Will find an exchange to be transfered to once I'm back.

Apparently not
178  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Beware of Interac E-Transfer and Caisses Desjardins, both sucks on: September 20, 2013, 10:25:56 AM
P.S. Stick to face to face transactions with cash in hand. Those always go smoothly. (Public place)

Not always my friend!

We met, inside a coffee shop, introduced myself, asked him if he had done trades before.  He said he had done several.  I wanted to make sure he was familiar with how the site worked and then to see if he had any questions about bitcoins in general.  I released the coins, and we started to shake hands as he was handing me the envelope.  He jerked the envelope out of my hand and took off running.

Yeah, I already read that one. But I got a good rating and people give me the money first before I release.

Loaned him 0.3 BTC. 0.3 BTC to be paid back to 12T2voXT4f1jS13LF2XQ9B5iZsQxziJGug ... whenever.
180  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Beware of Interac E-Transfer and Caisses Desjardins, both sucks on: September 20, 2013, 02:12:15 AM
I understand your frustration Namworld, but I would like to point out a couple of things about credit unions in general and Interac e-transfers.

I do my banking at a CU. CUs always take less risks compared to banks, because they don't have owners who want to make a maximum profit like banks do. The owners of CUs are the member that have their accounts with them, and their main goal is to save money.

I think most CUs would have proceeded the same way Desjardins did in this case.

I wonder if there is a big police investigation against the buyer and police asked them to freeze you money during this time, but the are not allowed to tell you about it.

The problem here, as you mentioned, potentially is that the buyer used a hacked account to transfer the money.

Desjardings and CUs in general take fewer risks than banks do, because their deposits are 100% guaranteed, therefore their insurance goes up if they have too many fraudulent transactions that the insurance company has to cover.

I like Interac e-transfers because they are easy, fast and protect your privacy, buy the risk is that an account can have been hacked and now the hacker buys bitcoins to get the money out of the account. Another risk issue is that if the owner of the account is using e-transfers to buy illegal substances or other illegal activities and seller is linked to the buyer because of one or more legit transactions between the two.

I think using e-transfers with buyers that have a good reputation on localbitcoin is fairly safe.

Yes, the thing is, I'm still allowed to do transactions (payments, withdrawals), just not with my cards. There's no suspicion of any issues with my cards. If they blocked everything, that could make sense.
