Nietes did his best but the Japanese is really superior and he did improved a lot during their last fight. And with that huge gap in the score, it was a total disaster for a come backing Nietes, he should have remain semi-retired. Anyhow, the future still looks bright for Filipino boxing, maybe there could be one that they will discover again and maybe be the next Manny, or Ahas or Filipino Flash that will carry the flag for them. The've been successful though in the Olympic boxing and winning medals so I guess it could be a consolidation for a disaster 2022.
IMO, Ioka is not that good in terms of skill, he won yesterday's fight because of Nietes' declined performance-wise. Ioka is very beatable and if the rematch took place months after the first fight, the result could have been the same as the first fight. In fairness to Ioka, he deserved that win because of his aggressiveness and being relentless in throwing anything he has last night  . Looking forward to the match between Ancajas and Ioka, this could be exciting because we all know how skillful Ancajas is and for sure he would bounce back from that unexpected defeat. Casimero and Ancajas are now the bright prospects of bringing glory to the PH in the world of boxing. |

The arrogant father and son duo also dismissed a Loma rematch before the Kambosos fight. They're not man enough. They forgot that Lomachenko donated personal money of around $800,000 to them as additional payment because they demanded more money, something promoter Bob Arum cannot satisfy due to the pandemic. And Teofimo barely beat an injured version of Lomachenko who undergo surgery right after the fight.
Yeah, I remember that. Loma did that so the fight will happen as planned even to the extent of lowering his purse on that fight. I think that they have seen something that if they give Loma the rematch they would lose but karma still hits them as Lopez lost to his mandatory opponent in Kambosos. I hope this unknown Pedro Campa upsets Teofimo Lopez.
I also do hope that this would happen too but i think Top Rank is now calculating every move they made on Lopez's career so as to not repeat the same fate against Kambosos because we may not like his personality but Lopez is a draw in boxing because he is a knockout artist. |

Just for the closure of this thread, scam talaga yong ASJ Global, ang daming kasamahan ko sa trabaho ang na-biktima hahay, halatang-halata naman na scam pero tigas talaga ng ulo nila at may iba pang nagdag-dag ng kailangan investment.
May bago na naman na sumulpot na kapareho lang ng interface kay ASJ, yong BGI (Bullet Global Investment), ingat kayo dito at kung maari huwag na kayong pumasok kahit gaano man katamis mag-salita yong magre-recruit sa inyo dahil talagang scam yan.

But we will see if he still has it, of course by his age, he is no longer in his prime. But maybe he can still perform as expected and beat Ioka. It might be a slim chance, but with no Filipino champion right now, maybe that will motivate him to and give everything for his country.
Thinking the same. Nietes carry a lot of responsibility on his shoulder now especially since we don't have any world champion now. He will revenge Magsayo's loss but on the way thru claiming another world title for the Phillipines. But this time, it's really hard to do it as he's now at the retirement point of his career and Ioka will fight him in front of his Japanese supporters. I hope Nietes will upset Ioka on his home and bring the Philippines again to the list of having a world champion.
Let's just cross our fingers and hope for the best for Nietes in his fight tomorrow. That's one tough hill to climb but like I've said in my previous post when Nietes' back is on the wall and everybody thinks that he would lose, he would rise to the occasion and surprise everyone many times and hope tomorrow he will deliver one more time, it would be the sweetest not only for him but to all the Filipino fans of this sweet science. There will be no rematch in this fight, it's obvious that Mark lost, he might have rally in the second half of the fight but it was not enough even if he score that knock down.
People are now talking about a mega-fight between two Mexican warriors already, Vargas vs Leo Sta Cruz. I think that is the next fight that we are going to see. As for Mark, he needs to prove himself again and not just a fluke champion.
I don't know how to say this but his win against Russell is tainted with controversies because the latter claims that he lose the fight because of an injury which we can say was true and now that Magsayo faced a legit contender, i mean an opponent ready to fight and without injury, he lost so many considered that fight against Russell a fluke but I would say it's destiny lol, Magsayo was destined to be champion no matter what. I guess majority of us here lost our bet on Magsayo. When I saw how the round is going in the first 4, I said to myself that this is a difficult fight for Mark and he will have to knock out Vargas in order to win. He won't win on the judges score card for sure.
There is no cheating, it was a fair score by the judges, Magsayo was just short of his effort but it is what it is. He has to accept and move forward. If there will be a rematch good, if not then Magsayo needs to double up and work very hard again.
That jab and reach advantage really did the damage for Vargas and Magsayo was having a hard time closing the gap so i agree with you mate, that was indeed a fair score, if only Magsayo has enough gas, he could have finished Vargas right there but he did not go all out, maybe he save some gas for the next rounds. Nevertheless, it was a good fight and that was what I'm expecting, a close fight and just hoping that Magsayo could get the win but he fell short so better luck next time. |

It's very obvious that most voters here are Filipinos, so we cannot prevent but to be biased because we believe that Magsayo will win and we support him. Yes, we will be seeing this big fight tomorrow, but I'm not sure how to watch this, is there any streaming site that would give a free pass for this event?
I don't think that all those who voted for Magsayo were Filipinos, for example, I voted for Mark, but I am from Russia and I remember and love the outstanding boxer Manny Pacquiao very well and I think that Magsayo will be able to continue his legacy. Good to know that it is not only Filipinos that rooted for Magsayo for this fight but definitely the voters of that poll were mostly Filipinos and i think they comprise more than 50 percent of the population of the poll. One thing that I can vouch with Filipino fighters is that they will leave their all in the ring and do their best to win the fight, they are warriors in the ring of some sort. I thought Columbian DYIP will be changed at this conference as they showed great competitiveness when the league rested for months and return in action.
The fans even think that most DYIP players will be traded to Big Team in the league since that's always the setup in the PBA where good players from lower teams will be signed to bigger teams. I don't know what happened to them and suddenly become a practice team for other teams lol.
They now take place the previous status of Blackwater Elite. They are now the team who is nowhere to be found becoming a good contender team.
There are rumors that the faction of assistant coach Ronald Tubid wants coach Cardel to be replaced maybe that is the reason why this team played that way which is not acceptable for the fans who watched them live but were not entertained. The commissioner should step in and resolve the issue as soon as possible because this is not doing any good to the PBA at all. |

Looks like both are ready for their big fight this Sunday. Magsayo is very confident and issue a warning for Vargas not to run in this fight. And then Vargas says that Magsayo's team added more in their side of training, maybe they acknowledged his talent.
So tomorrow it's going to be the final weigh-in, hopefully both can make it to the limit.
And then the day after, it will be the fight that all Filipinos are waiting for. If Mark will be the next one to carry the flag.
I just hope that height and reach advantage of Rey Vargas won't be used tomorrow so we can see a brawl which i think is advantageous to Magsayo because he is used to this weight category but i doubt Rey Vargas would take the bait. Yup, Mark Magsayo is now the only reigning Filipino champion, if he loses tomorrow, we will be zero in the record lol so let's just hope that he will defend this belt while entertaining the boxing fans. Have already pulled the trigger for Magsayo here, if he will win via KO it would be break-even for me as i put some few dollars on that option too.  |
