1601  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Old lesson: Don't rely on your phone. Always save your wallet seeds on: March 30, 2020, 01:28:48 PM
All wallets, even mobiles, force you to save the seed somewhere to create the wallet.
There's no option of skipping seed key other than writing however, it's possible to create wallet without writing it anywhere. You can use the screenshot option for rewriting the seed key which I had done when I was noob. But now I'm not doing that amymore because it's very risky to save seed on electronic device.
Most of the newbies intentionally or unintentionally do this mistake more often. Saving seed or privkey in electronic device is very bad practice and saving it on phone is more riskier because phone can anytime get damaged which may not be recovered.

I am not sure if he is talking about Blockchain.com or Blockchain.info  Cheesy
Both are same. It was blockchain.info earlier which now have turned into blockchain.com. Blockchain.com was owned by some other guy who sold it to blockchain.info
Again you are wrong. I haven't used the wallet but that's what I got from a google search.

Click Settings > Security > Backup Recovery Phrase
You will get your phrase.
1603  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to get public and private key ? on: March 29, 2020, 02:17:05 PM
Thanks for guiding.
BTW I am using Blockchain wallet.

Someone right me if I'm wrong, but Blockchain doesn't let you export the private keys. Nevertheless, since you need to write the seed down (12 word phrase), you should be able to use that seed on another wallet that allows private key exporting (Electrum), and from there, you can get the private key

Again, someone right me if I'm wrong  please
You are correct, blockchain wallet gives seed key or phrase key. OP have to write down the key as it is maintaining the order and later import in electrum wallet. Then follow my above suggestion to get private key of certain address. However, I recommend OP not to using blockchain wallet since it's an web wallet.
1604  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Effective use of Personal Message- Tutorial on: March 29, 2020, 02:02:10 PM
OP have been updated with translated link.

This is great to organized your private messages so that you will find any private messages easily. I sometimes use the private message feature to save something like link to a thread, bbcodes to use and other important things that you need to use or keep safe except private keys and other stufd that can be used to access a wallet.
You should only use the PM system for the purpose of PM. Using this for saving private stuff is a very bad idea; more importantly if it's priv key or seed key. Saving these electronically is a very bad practice.
1605  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to get public and private key ? on: March 29, 2020, 01:50:10 PM
Can you share which wallet you are using? It would be easier for us.
If it's electrum, click right button of mouse on the address you want to get private key, you will see option to get private key. If it's bitcoin core, you have copy the address and on console, write; dumpprivkey [space] your address. That's general process.
1606  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to secure crypto wallets on: March 28, 2020, 04:40:07 PM
Wallet which requires email can never be a safe way to store your coins. That's are custodial wallets in most cases and don't give you the access of private key; non custodial wallet gives though. However, these wallets are very risky and you must never suggest anyone to use such wallets.
1607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: March 28, 2020, 01:07:20 PM
Don't know about WIPL being as much popular as the current IPL as the craze is much less compared to the current one. Also, I don't know the names of the current Women Cricketers to be excited about it. It's just because they don't get as much recognition like Sania Mirza or Sania Nehwal.
Women cricket is underrated I think. It deserves more buzz than current. Indian Women team is pretty much good team as far as I know. WIPL would be a great edition for women cricket to be flourished.
1608  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Finding the best cryptocurrency exchange to trade on - What is your top pick? on: March 27, 2020, 04:29:34 PM
It would very much handy if you would list and rate decentralized exchanges on a seperate list. I can't see any DEX in the top, may be because they didn't fit your rating criteria.
However, as expected, since I used to follow coingecko than other crypto tracking websites, Binance is always the best for me as well.
1609  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: March 27, 2020, 04:12:04 PM
What if the situation continues next month, with another 6x rise in the infections? I am getting really skeptical about the situation.
Most of the leagues are postponed and now at threat to be resulted as it is or dismissed. I don't think it's possible to start any series within next month; not possible even in next couple of months. We are far behind to get a meds/vaccin for this.
Any new announcement on IPL?
1610  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you think this is a good strategy ? on: March 27, 2020, 02:28:08 PM
You are going to pay a fee which will be your loss.
However, if you are trying to utilize stop loss, it's better if you select a range all the time. The range you selected will get you nothing but paying the fees over and over. I would rather use 10% loss or profit if I would be giving a try with stop loss.
The onlt strategy to make profit I have seen is DCA, it would be giving you less profit but the risk of losing is merely existed if you follow DCA properly.
1611  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: fuck google ads on: March 27, 2020, 02:21:23 PM
It's a pain to be honest. A while ago, someone was complaining about scam/fake antminer seller on google ads. It's better to not to use google as your main search engine, not at least things related to crypto; this industry has been the main place for online scammer I guess.
Use duckduckgo or brave browser instead and get out of google as much as possible to avoid possible scam.
1612  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best Browser to access bitcointalk on: March 27, 2020, 02:04:24 PM
I'm using TOR browser without any problem. If I'm not wrong, with TOR, usually it would be slower but still it's okay here. If you're not giving a fuck to anonymity, use Google Chrome. That would be the best.

I have tried 3 browser for bitcointalk, the google chrome, cryptotab browser and internet explorer,
I guess using Internet explorer is way more boring than TOR. IE seems to be pretty slower than any other explorer. It's a pain in the ass for captcha for me.
1613  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to make a good Announcement for a new token? on: March 27, 2020, 01:35:47 PM
It's not important to have a catchy Ann thread here. It's important to present everything about the project briefly; of course if it has something to be useful for the crypto community, otherwise, none of the catchy things would do anything. Not discouraging at all but that's what is everywhere in Ann section.

If you ask me what is the easiest way to grab some merits? I would say, "Be forum member." Exactly, at the very firstx if you become a forum member and stop looking for merits, you will get it more faster than you can imagine.
1615  Economy / Gambling / Re: FortuneJack and their KYC - I do not recommend on: March 23, 2020, 05:12:35 PM
Before starting gambling there, you must have read their Terms and Conditions where they have clearly mentioned that they may require KYC anytime they want. Therefore, I see nothing wrong with that as they have coded the terms. You agreed with their terms and condition while registering, didn't you? Why without a read?
You have been accused of multi-accounting, isn't it fair enough to ask KYC?

I recommend you trying out stake.com, I have been using that for a while and I'm quite happy with it. They do care much about the users to be honest. I can't assure you if they have welcome bonus or not but everything other than the bonus is perfect. Stake is very old and have good reputation here. 1617  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin explained in a simple way - feedback needed on: March 22, 2020, 04:55:53 PM
but I'm trying to avoid cryptographic terms like Public/private key.
That won't help you achieve your goal. You have to introduce the cryptographic terms with your readers but there's easy way to do that. You can put a paragraph below of your article as "Abbreviation" and explain all the cryptographic terms used in the article. That will be more user friendly and readers won't not be misguided as well.
1618  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin explained in a simple way - feedback needed on: March 22, 2020, 03:52:25 PM
At the very beginning, you have used some terms which are related to bitcoin's price which must not be presented such a way; not at least at the beginning of the article. It doesn't make sense what your website intents to.

You must never say it's a good idea to store bitcoin cryptocurrency exchange or trading site or online wallet. Remember, "Not your keys, not your coins."

You said, "A password which can spend them."
It is Private Key.

On average, you must have to do some more background research for yourself. Some of the information is wrong.
1619  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Insider Trading on: March 22, 2020, 03:38:10 PM
It doesn't look like insider trading. That's just a reporter's spin. Buying or selling stock on bad news or expectations isn't illegal.
It is indeed. North Carolina Republican Richard Burr, chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, has sold around $1m worth of stocks while he was receiving all the information about corona virus and keep insistant in public that Govt was able to handle this situation, then why did he sell before 1 week of the market crash? They used the information and sold before the crash.

Quote
To be an "insider" you need to own > 10% of a class of company stock.
It was not known to me. In that case, it might not be.

So, crypto are not subjective to be classified as insider trading? I got to learn lots of laws.
1620  Economy / Trading Discussion / Insider Trading on: March 21, 2020, 05:05:42 PM
Recently we have seen that US senators was accused of insider trading, sold million worth of stock right before the crash happened in the economy due to the Corona virus.
Is this kind of insider trading happening in crypto exchanges as well? If so, any information which exchange did this, with authentic link? Well, it may be a common thing but I just want to have some idea. Hence, looking for some previous case if existed. Of course, with bitcoin only.

Please let me know if this thread is not in the correct board.
