Italian Open - Rome

The rounds of 128 get under way today and I notice that there are a lot of Italian players
in action today, 5 today who have made it through the qualifiers, another 6 in action
tomorrow. I think tennis in Italy is becoming stronger and stronger.

Lets see how the top italians do this year, big things expected of Sonego, Musetti and
of course Sinner.

Eyes will be on Alcaraz of course, along with Djokovic but its really Alcaraz' tournament
to lose.
as Italian I can only agree with you. I mean, until a few years ago the "top" was represented by Fognini (also known as Fogna - sewer by the "evil ones") or Volandri or Seppi. Certainly all capable players but really far from Sinner Berrettini Sonego etc etc... in short, new truly capable players are constantly emerging ... years ago anyone who was in the top 100 was already considered a sort of privileged now it is almost "normal"
I'm curious to see what Sinner will be able to do here in Rome. there is a lot of interst for his performance and he could surely make a very good tournament

Hi @MoparMiningLLC,
what could be the price for shipping in EU? (Private courier or regular postage?)

To other EU collectors, anyone potentially interested in a group buy in order to save some shipment fees?
1603  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What kind of rewards/bonuses do you prefer? on: May 08, 2023, 06:21:24 PM
My favorite bonuses are cashback and rakeback.
Instead, I hate bonuses that require wager requirements because these bonus are "forcing" the user to bet on a certain conditions.
VIP levels with random bonuses are also quite fun Wink but always depends if these are bonus for casino or bookmakers (sport betting).
1604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have You Experienced Winning Bets By Upsets on: May 08, 2023, 06:16:46 PM
if we all thought the same way, there would be no horse racing Smiley

the best way to monetize these bets... is to use the betting exchange and follow the live matches. maybe you don't take home the maximum jackpot but you still manage to achieve an excellent result every time.

E.G with a practical example
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KteAuuGtI3k
some years ago I placed a bet on new zealand to win against italy. They scored 1 goal. At this point I have just "sold" the odds after their goal. Final result 1-1 but I still had a very good profit.
1605  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How's your gambling experience right now? on: May 08, 2023, 06:09:23 PM
I'm also on break.
"ith these fees it is really difficult to be able to make deposits (for example I like to bet live but at the same time keep the coins in my wallet).
will this be the right time for the major crypto bookmakers and casinos to decide to use LN in order to manage both withdrawals and deposits??

Vires in numeris.... Wink

1608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Back and Lay in sportbook on: May 07, 2023, 09:48:51 PM
Hi Little Mouse, did you see this option in a casino/bookmaker that accept crypto/bitcoin? I am curious to know because it's an interesting way to bet...
As reported correctly by many users, back and Lay are used in exchange betting a kind of p2p betting. I will suggest to understand how it works because there are some crucial differences from the classic bet vs bookmakers (likewise market depth, volatility of the odds, market with/without suspension and so on...)
1609  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: May 07, 2023, 09:34:59 PM
Agreed, Struff showed his best tennis. But to be fair, he missed some good break opportunities and who knows what the outcome would have been if the German would be a bit more confident.

Meanwhile, Petra Kvitova pulls out of Rome with a foot injury: https://www.flashscore.com/news/tennis-rome-wta-singles-miami-champion-petra-kvitova-withdraws-from-italian-open/tU92YLAt/

Struff played really well in the second set and also in the first set he was able to worry the Spanish player.
But this is not enough, Alcaraz's performances are simply "aliens". His tennis is really of another level

Well, I have missed this piece...and its seriously interesting Sad a superb piece...
however the "private" designs/custom stamps/private issues I don't think are listed at least for now Sad

the only way to get listed in a stamp catalog in this case is to speak directly with the publisher... I have a particular variety of an italian stamp (very few pieces known) and the only way to see it listed in one of the main catalogs is happened with the direct contact of the publisher ...
Or another solution is to have a specific catalog for crypto-themed stamps...a pdf example was posted few weeks ago.

Yes Scott for sure just because these are "classic" UPU stamps and are classified like any other stamps used for real postage.

There are some local stamps catalogue that can list also private edition / overprinted locally etc ... Italian stamps catalogue most of the times are emitted by stamps Sellers so they can decide what to list as "extra/unofficial" Roll Eyes

Hopefully they will list our stamps someday  Wink  Mine was the very first ever in 2017

I wonder how many really know about that in the stamp world?  Cheesy

Nadal announces forfeit, since he will not participate in the Internazionali in Rome.
a bad news for tennis fans (like me who will obviously follow some live matches Smiley ) but above all Its also a bad news for him since the player also risks to fall out from the ATP top 100 !
1613  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: May 07, 2023, 03:55:59 PM
Lecce Udinese Empoli Cremonese
I dont think that Lazio has to face top teams during the next matches, they can made enough points to reach Champions League placement. For any of team this is a must for the season. Roll Eyes

I think its an interesting data that Juventus has 6 young players used this year (they are in the second place in this special rank behind Verona ...)

....
maybe Lazio will be wasted from the top 4 of the standings.

[he]
1615  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Predict the results of Serie A season 2023-2024! on: May 07, 2023, 11:10:00 AM
as already reported there is already the main topic on series a, here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1159855.0
this one more or less I think it's more ... and in general... at the moment it is almost impossible to make any prediction as the transfer market must begin and we will not know which players will be reconfirmed in the various teams...

every year (for at least 20 years) it is always the same teams that compete for the top title, it is almost impossible to see new teams for the final victory
1616  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: May 06, 2023, 09:00:16 PM
Bad loss for Lazio today, it was a disappointing match... But they have, much probably, reached third place/Champions League qualification...its a great result for sure... this result isnt a real issue for their current rank

slowly but steadily increase the number of countries that issued their cryptostamp.

I can't wait for the first edition of the crypto-stamps catalogs to come out in paper format. I have a 1880 Yvert Teller catalog in my collection and after more than 100 years it seems to be more and more beautiful.
imagine in 100/150 years what impression this catalogue will make on stamp collectors....

tennis player Anisimova confirms she is taking an indefinite break from playing tennis due to mental issues/stress. the player at only 21 yeara has achieved moderate successes in her career, and is in the top 50.
at these levels it is really difficult to keep up with the " pace" and visibility reached.

Yes, you are right It should be stick on top of the board because its updated by OP and this topic is rich with a lot of information related crypto gambling.
If any of the sites listed has a btc deposit option ...its perfect as main thread of the section Wink
Personally, this is the first time that I am able to see it...even if I am writing often into this board Roll Eyes

although the topic should be bumped from time to time because given the activity on this board, it loses visibility very quickly.
Thanks for the suggestion, I'm afraid of the signature campaign spammers who make unnecessary posts in different topics. But I will bump this thread occasionally if it is really helping the gamblers.

You have the right to bump a topic every 24 hours (of course with the deletion of the old bump - rule 32), but maybe you should contact the global mod or admin for this board and ask to stick your topic on the top. Given that it is extremely useful information and that the merits show what users think about it, it is possible that you have a chance to have your request approved. Even if the answer is negative, it doesn't hurt to ask Smiley
