What hashrate do you get with a gtx 980 ti?

435 Sols/s, according to the google search I just did for you. Ahem.

1622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DERO: A secure, private blockchain with Smart Contracts. on: January 12, 2018, 12:09:37 AM
I DL base in 5 min and now its all ok. BUT. i dl 600mb in 5-6 min . why i must sync 50hour?. This wallet have big problem.

This is bug and any work on this problem? or this is it?
i have ETN DYNASTY EDOLAR and dont have problem with sync. deamon and cli for this coin and DERO is identical...

Do a little more reading and a little less typing and you'll see I had the exact same problem as you. The solution is to stop the daemon and wallet client then delete the data.mdb and lock.mdb files then restart the daemon then the client, once the daemon says it is okay. The two .mdb files will be located in the C:\PROGRAMDATA\DERO\LMDB folder if using Windows.

Blockchain sync will restart from the beginning but generally proceed fairly quickly if no reorganization has to take place.

1623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DERO: A secure, private blockchain with Smart Contracts. on: January 11, 2018, 01:57:37 PM
huh, now i see what a hard job to mine some dero Wink

now my ip banned from http://pool.dero.live... Sad used port 7777 with 1 vega (2 Kh..) so just don`t understand why....

Try rebooting the cable modem (if this applies), then close and restart the miner.

1624  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Reliable cable modem for mining? on: January 11, 2018, 01:11:40 PM
No thanks to the lot of you, I pulled the trigger on the SB6183; I read that the next higher up model, SB6190, has some issues with latency because of some Intel chip that everyone uses for this and similar model modems.

1625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Zcash/Zclassic/Equihash GPU Benchmarks on: January 11, 2018, 12:47:34 PM
All results using dstm 0.5.7; core/mem clocks are as-reported values in MSI AfterBurner. No real tweaking of voltages or power limits employed.

Zotac Mini GTX 1050 Ti - 190 Sols/s - 1835/3800
Asus GTX 1060 3GB - 305 Sols/s - 2000/4151
Unknown GTX 1080 FE - 540 Sols/s - 1898/4714

The real surprise here is the relatively good performance of the 1050 Ti, a card that is all but written off most of the time.

1626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Happy New Years! Seventh alt coin thread! on: January 11, 2018, 10:47:53 AM
Hey guys sorry I've been so MIA lately T_T been trying to adjust after having my life/schedule flipped around last month (not a pity post, but seriously I miss being more active in this thread)

On a positive note I'm kind of impressed with the numbers the 1050 TI's put out for being old tech on equihash wi/ DSTM miner, these ASUS pulled ~190 sols @ 60 watts

I'm one of the many rooting for Tails!

The GTX 1050 Ti was my first mining GPU - because it was what was installed in my main desktop when I started. It didn't take me long to figure out that Equihash (and Neoscrypt - 460 H/s) are its strong points*. In fact, the Equihash performance - combined with not needing external PCIe power - makes it almost compelling. I would still be using it for Equihash except the fan went bad - new one on its way from China - and I have since bought an RX 570, (4) GTX 1060 3GB (chosen mainly because of availability), and a used GTX 1080 from a local store for the low-low price of MSRP...  Roll Eyes - Yes, I know Ethash is especially bad on the plain 1080, but it is an Equihash and Neoscrypt monster (it's churning out >1k H/s on the latter right now with just +300 on the memory clock).

* - Cryptonight performance, however, is especially terrible at around 385 H/s - my Ryzen 5 1600 is faster - while I could only manage about 13.4 MH/s with Ethash despite that this card has Samsung memory.

1627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Reliable cable modem for mining? on: January 11, 2018, 10:25:46 AM
My current cable modem is a Motorola (now Arris) SB6121 and it had been working very well for 2 years, but so far this week it has locked up on me 3 times (and two of those times were about 1 hour after I went to sleep, of course) so it is clearly on its way out. I should note that I bought the SB6121 because my previous modem needed to be rebooted on a daily basis.

My ISP will supply a cable modem for "free"* but those modems are always 10+ years old and suck so I am buying a new one.

My top pick right now is an Arris SB6183, but I am definitely open to other suggestions. I may replace the router, too, as the once luxurious seeming 4 wired ethernet ports on it now feels a little cramped.

* - except they raised the price of internet service by $10/mo. when they bought out my old ISP, so not really free...

Yes. Can you help me ?

Keep your eyes peeled for that space cash...

1629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Happy New Years! Seventh alt coin thread! on: January 10, 2018, 06:36:29 PM
Just got an update from DHL: the 2 Onda D1800 that I ordered before Christmas - and splurged an extra $17 for "premium fast" shipping - are finally on their way...

In other news, I've resigned myself to populating one of the D1800 with GTX 1060 3GB* as that is all I can find in stock without exorbitant price gouging. I just refuse to pay $700+ for a GTX 1070 Ti.

* - for equihash or neoscrypt, so don't care about the impending 3GB DAG limit breach for Ethereum.

1630  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Airdrop] - Electronic Dollar on: January 10, 2018, 12:29:22 PM
Hey Guys another question, my wallet still says out of sync in yellow letter and it has been sitting like this for hours now. Do I need to do anything or should I just leave the wallet open? Is there a blockchain I can dl to get it to sync faster as well?

If all else fails, and assuming your OS is Windows, you can try the following:

1. close the daemon and wallet
2. delete data.mdb and lock.mdb from the directory C:\ProgramData\edollar\lmdb
3. restart daemon - remember to run it in administrator mode (ie - right click on edollard.exe, chose "Run as Administrator")
4. once daemon reports it is synced, run wallet client as administrator (edollar-wallet-cli.exe).

1631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] dstm's ZCash / Equihash Nvidia Miner v0.5.8 (Linux / Windows) on: January 10, 2018, 12:18:50 AM
Sorry for the newbie question, which might be already answered - dstm is for zcash, or all mineable coins with equihash algo, i mean can dstm be used for zclassic, or zencash for example? Thanks in advance.

Yes, just use an appropiate wallet address and mining pool.

1632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Happy New Years! Seventh alt coin thread! on: January 09, 2018, 11:59:44 PM
Would it be dangerous to use an adapter that converts a single PCIE header into two? Specifically with 1070ti's operating at 106W?

EE here.

If each 1070 Ti uses 106W then that is a total draw of about 18A from a single PCIe jack on the PSU.

PCIe power uses the "Mini-Fit Jr" interconnect system with 3 wires dedicated to positive regardless of whether it is a 6 or 8 pin connector (that means either 3 or 5 pins are used for negative/ground). If quality Mini-Fit Jr connectors are used and the wires are crimped properly then even 18 AWG is more than sufficient to carry ~6A over the short distances involved here, but crappy connectors or crimps could get into trouble at a mere 1A. Fortunately, it's easy to tell if an interconnect is overloaded - it will get warm - so it really won't hurt to try out connecting 2 cards with a Y-adapter as long as you keep tabs on the temperature (particular at the interconnects - ie, plug and jack). How hot is too hot? Well, hard to say, but "bordering on uncomfortable after 5 seconds" is a reasonable guess. Some heating at the connectors - ie, a noticeable temperature rise, though not even remotely uncomfortable - is perfectly fine.

1633  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What you think about: is it worth? on: January 09, 2018, 04:53:00 PM
This is a very simple math problem but whether the results justify the expense is up to you to decide.

Multiply the power savings, in Watts, by the rate you are charged for electricity, usually given in kW-h (kilowatt-hours), then divide that number by 1000 to get the savings per hour of operation; multiply that number by 24 to find the savings per day, obviously.

Now divide the premium in price paid for these savings by the hourly (daily, whatever) savings rate to find out the payback time.

For example, electricity costs me $0.11 per kW-hr so saving 100W would reduce my cost by $0.011 per hour, or $0.264 per day. If that savings cost me $120 then it would take ~454 days to pay it back.

I don't know about you, but that payback period is so long I wouldn't even care about it.

However, there is a twist - if the power savings let you use a smaller (but same efficiency rating) power supply then you might offset some of your costs there.

Like I said in the beginning, the math is simple but the judgment call is less so.

1634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]: cpuminer-opt v3.7.9, open source optimized multi-algo CPU miner on: January 09, 2018, 02:42:58 PM
Claymore would probably do much better for 2 reasons:
a. it autodetects the amount of cache and amount of necessary threads
try allocating 1 thread per each 2mb of L2 cache you have
b. it supports memory locking mechanism that speeds up memory transfers

cpuminer is good in many things, but cryptonight is not one of them )

Aye, after writing this I tried setting "-t 8" as my CPU has 16MB of L3 cache, but there was no real change (if anything, it might have been a little slower!?). Also should have mentioned I always run miners as administrator just in case large memory pages can be used, but, apparently this is not the case here. Ah well, I'll keep my eye on this project anyway because I like rooting for the underdogs.

1635  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bminer: a fast Equihash miner for CUDA GPUs on: January 09, 2018, 02:28:14 PM
What faster Bminer 5.0 or DSTM 0.5.8 ? Someone make compare with data from pool ?

I was getting around 305 Sols/s per GTX 1060 3GB using dstm 0.5.7 (didn't try 0.5.8 because some people were reporting issues with it) and now with bminer 5.0 I am getting around 310 Sols/s per GPU, or 1.6% improvement. Modest, but worthwhile. Mind you, it's only been running for about 1 hour at this point.

The -no-timestamps switch is a step in the right direction, but I still want to see cumulative mining time.

1636  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]: cpuminer-opt v3.7.9, open source optimized multi-algo CPU miner on: January 09, 2018, 02:15:58 PM
I hope I'm doing something wrong because this is a real disappointment compared to Claymore CPU Miner 3.9 - I get around 400 H/s with my Ryzen 5 1600 on Cryptonight with Claymore but just under 200 H/s with this. I'm using the recommended exe for Ryzen - cpuminer-avx-sha.exe - but without any command line optimizations enabled. Desktop interactivity of this computer is also reduced running this miner.

1637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v10.3 (Windows/Linux) on: January 08, 2018, 10:18:07 PM
Yeah, probably, but next time they will mine since I attached a simple mining server to claymore's default ports!! Please hack me and make me rich!!

Ingenious! How are you pulling that off, as it sounds like particularly appropriate punishment for the vermin!

anyone see problem running 6 rx480 and dual mining ETH and MUSIC ?

Yes, because these coins use the same algorithm - ethash.
1638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's CryptoNote Windows CPU Miner v3.9 on: January 08, 2018, 10:12:46 PM
Good luck and come back and tell about the results.

It looks like the benefit from enabling large page support and "-t 8" is very modest relative to the increased CPU load (+20 points), and the hashrate varies a lot more now, swinging over a range of >100 points with an average of 405; before the swing was more like 20 points, with an average of 375. So about 8% more hash for 33% more CPU load (80% / 60% = 1.33).

Here is a representative block of hashrates from the last 45 minutes, and this is with the devfee enabled, too:

1639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's CryptoNote Windows CPU Miner v3.9 on: January 08, 2018, 08:45:33 PM
Its probably because you havent enabled large pages, there is a guide somewere how you do it.

Yeah, a minor complication is that this is machine has Windows 10 Home (I know, I know!) so I had to go through some gyrations to enable large page support: http://awesomeprojectsxyz.blogspot.com/2017/11/windows-10-home-how-to-enable-lock.html

But large pages are now enabled so I just need to stop mining and reboot.

The airdrop was for 1000 coins, right? I can earn that many EDC in 1 day with my crappy old FX-8300 CPU, and my Ryzen 5 1600 is bringing in over 4k per day. Just run a CPU miner for a day or two and get your airdrop that way!
