1622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PLEASE, stop sending promo tokens!! on: August 19, 2018, 12:39:25 AM
What a shit this "new" way of promoting ico!

Marketing managers of ICOs, are u really thinking this way contributes to development of your project? NO. Your useless shitcoins are being perceived like usual SPAM. It's even more awful than Avon samples from desperate women.

Thanks for the listening to.

Just wondering whether you have already put you wallet address (or some body sold your data) earlier in some free airdrop sites.
Air dropping is a good way of promotion of your coin, why do you think it will not work?
Change your wallet if you are getting so much airdrop in it and so much bothered about it.
1623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 10 Altcoins That Will Survive the Bloodbath on: August 19, 2018, 12:26:55 AM
Somewhat surprised , author did not add ETH in the list.
XRP also does not look a good choice to me, ok I guess it will survive  the bloodbath but I do not think it is going to appreciate too much.
Surviving the bloodbath and  potential to grow and survive , both are different.
1624  Other / Meta / Re: People monitoring merits on: August 18, 2018, 09:37:40 PM
Ok thanks for your replies, I guess I didnt see it like a chat thread and thought merits should be given wisely anywhere on this forum.

Merit is subjective in nature. What do you think wise might be below average for somebody.

I like to quote Sir Author Canon Dolyle , Dialogue from Sherlock Holmes book.

Quote
"Excellent" , I cried.   "Elementary", he replied.

So what is excellent for Watson, that was elementary for Sherlock Holmes.
Same goes with Merit.
1625  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How Can/Do You Store Files on a Blockchain? on: August 17, 2018, 07:51:20 PM
I think this is solid answer, IPFS is one of the examples.
Its great that it works even today and you can see great community there.

That is 195.90 USD, not 100,000.00!

ok no $1000 or $100K
Do you think still $195 for an MB is a cheap option?  What about if you need to store a GB then.
It is better to use the technology that is intended for the purpose. Storage is getting cheaper and faster day by day but it is not true for the blockchain.
1626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I am a newb but I want to invest... any thoughts? on: August 17, 2018, 05:52:16 PM

--Snip---

Just wondering how you lost 90 % in Bitcoin. It is definitely you get scammed or invested in a fake ICO.

I will recommend you to read the below 2 articles before doing any further investment.

1627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: To survive the bear market I am chainging my strategy on: August 17, 2018, 05:35:53 PM
---Snip--

Thank God, Bear Market make you realize that you should get a real Job. Bounties should be hobby/part time income but should not be method of living.
Anyway I become just curious how much $USD you are making in bounties.

You lucky because you already have income from bounties to use for trading.  I plan to do that, collecting money from bounties then trading and invest but a little too late I think.  Market is down and account rank-up is way too hard, almost impossible.  Good luck to your strategy!

Do you think trading is a free money? You have no idea how badly trading can burn  sometimes leaving everybody clueless and dumb.
1628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Please let us know your thoughts about our free ICO listing site: ICOgoals.com on: August 17, 2018, 05:24:25 PM
Do you have any measure to check whether ICO is fraudulent or not? Please share some techniques that you use to verify the ICO.
Any list of fraud ICO that you busted make a good reputation for you.
Or you just  list  any ICO without reviewing or rating it?
1629  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: something that made me curious on: August 17, 2018, 05:10:33 PM
If the A invests $1000 in bitcoin, then the next day the price of bitcoin drops dramatically and the A loses $1000, which makes me curious, where does the $1000 A money go?

You already said th $1000 is an investment. so it is governed by principle of markets.
News made the phrases  like "lost billion dollars" to make you believe that really a worth of billion dollars wasted?

It is never real Dollars. It is the potential that you lost.

For ex. I have a house that I sell it now for $1000 but after one month if I am getting offers for $800 only , so according to investor /News I will lose $200 but in reality I just lose the only potential $200 but no actual loss.

Any way OP, this is also a nice read.

1632  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Do you think it is fair to save merits for high-quality, low-ranked members? on: August 17, 2018, 03:47:58 PM
lower ranked members think it is fair because they want to rank up, and higher ranked members think it is unfair because although they don’t need the merits to rank up, they want to see their contribution to the forum recognized.

Actually it is very tough to review each and every post for Merit. So somebody who need Merit need to do something that can highlight the user. This debate will be now to what we should give merit  to instead of to whom we should give merit.

High quality (whether it is low ranked or high ranked) will eventually get Merit. so we do not need to save them for it.

On a contrary I believe in giving Merit to someone who can show promise to improve or improving with time. But it is again a time consuming process and you need surplus of sMerits to start these kind of challenge.

I am great supporter of these kind of challenges but currently we do not have any.

1633  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ✅ [ANN] Goodomy - From the Creator of the first ICO - v1.0 on August 24th!! on: August 16, 2018, 06:56:49 PM
I am referring to this logo that is available in Google Play store for downloading the app.

Thanks. I did it myself. It's not professional but it tested well (between 3 other variations). We'll see how others feel about it, but the "G" logo is pretty popular, too.

Yes, G is plain and effective and look more tied to the business image , but smiley in other logo , open board in shop picture and background green colour make that logo very lively and vibrant. Let see what other thinks.  Any way, very nice and eye catching logo design by you.

1635  Other / Meta / Re: Community generated suggestions to improve the forum (+ eventual voting on them) on: August 16, 2018, 05:45:17 AM
Quote
• Require at least one merit to become a Junior Member (bots will never rise past Newbie status then and can be nuked once spotted).

Going through the activity logic, if Full member require 100 merit and 120 Activity, then Member should require 50 merit and Jr. member should require 25.
So definitely we can increase the Merit requirement for Member rank and introduce Merit concept for Jr. Member.

Quote
• Remove signatures completely from lower ranks (at least Juniors). Purchasing a Copper Membership (or higher) could still get you one.

I do not think anyone will agree with my suggestion but to control Signature spam, we can introduce the requirement to get at least 2 Merits in previous month. (If I have not got any merits on July, then signature will be disabled for August month (even with Coopper membership, irrespective of rank in forum. If I receive 2 merit or more in August then it will be enabled for September and you again need to earn 2 merits in September so  that it will remain enabled for October. )

On a side note, this will halt the account sales too.

Since system is already in place for more than 6 month, so we should decay all the default sMerits so that no more merit abuse can take place.
1636  Economy / Services / Re: Bounty Managers Rating on: August 16, 2018, 04:47:34 AM
You can go through this list.

Some of these managers are DT members too, so highly trusted and reputed.

1638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Paying Bounty With TOKEN or ETH which will be better? on: August 15, 2018, 03:09:04 PM
Do you think that 2% of total token distributed in bounties can crash the whole token market and it cannot recover indefinitely?

They are just bad project with false promises, that`s why they never recover.
1639  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Invest in Crypto or Na? on: August 15, 2018, 02:58:45 PM
What are the  advantages to invest in cryptocurrency rather than fiat currency?
Considering the fact the market for cryptocurrency are red tide and how will it recover?
What is the fastest liquidity in terms of daily volume? Please share your thoughts and ideas thank you.

Look like English is not your native language. If you taking crypto currency as an "investment" because everybody else is investing then stay out.
Crypto Currency is in red tide and same happen with stocks too, so basic fundamental of recovering remains the same. so it is also possible that they do not recover too as happen with some stocks.
I guess daily trade volume of 110K  Bitcoin (you can multiply 110 *1000* price of 1 bitcoin in you local currency)

At the moment all cryptos are really low priced, so I think it is better to invest in crypto than stay in Fiat because all the coin prices are probably going to go up and you will make more Fiat comparing to any way to invest with Fiat. I cant imagine bitcoin going Lower than 6 or 5k. Think about it, im putting all the Fiat I have got in cryptos right now.

What you are telling is not the investment, it is just a plain greed.

1640  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Bitcoin ETF, Is it really needed? on: August 15, 2018, 03:20:28 AM
Even Andreas Antonopoulos says that Bitcoin ETF is a very terrible idea.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSv0J4bfBCc&feature=push-u&attr_tag=GUmiDnU0TxDaahFh%3A6&ab_channel=aantonop

The main points from his video

1.When you own Bitcoin you own keys. You are in control of your Bitcoin. By ETF , you will not have any keys so you are not in control of your Bitcoin.

2.ETF owner/Custodian  will be a single holder of the Bitcoin. ETF holding so large amount of Bitcoin can easily manipulate the market.

3.If any debate going to happen in bitcoin (like Bitcoin cash ) in future then ETF custodian will have the voice but not the actual share holders.

4.Bitcoin ETF is a terrible idea but it might happen in future.
