1621  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: August 12, 2023, 09:04:53 AM
It is not that I am not proud of what I am doing… It has nothing to do with it. It is just, we don’t need to tell everyone about everything we do. Especially the money stuff. Gambling, investing, business secrets, trading…

I don’t usually talk about anything that makes me or loses me money. Talking about it usually affects the situation in a bad way and I don’t want that. I want the things to stay clean nice and tidy. I can make or lose money while I am gambling and it is nobody’s business but me.

We need to keep our secrets to ourselves sometimes.

Exactly. When it comes to gambling especially when we are winning huge amount of money, most people will keep it as a secret. I'm sure people who are lucky enough to win huge amount of money proud of what they get but they will not tell everyone about it. Just like huge lottery winners, they do not want to show themselves in public because of privacy and security reason. If OP win a huge amount of money from gambling and he keeps it as a secret because he cares about his own secureness, I will not call him as a man who is not proud of what he does/gets because I understand that it is his own right to do anything with his life.

People want to show their achievement so they keep celebrating and share to other people but is this ideal? For me not because you are exposing your self that you won a large amount of money and your life may be at risk because you know how people getting greedy and envy to the things they don't have. So ideal to keep it secret to make sure your safety and prevent people want to have part of your money.
1622  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greed can cause a lost bet, (true or false) on: August 12, 2023, 07:00:28 AM
There's a thread right here for the Betking try to check it up first they have an issue to their platform, and next is not all single wings have consecutive wings this is the most common misconception of the people. This just could be a hype to let you more to bet.
If you win and get satisfied take it home most of the gamblers are greedy that make them lose a lot than unexpected.
1623  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You must do this if you want to QUIT or NOT on: August 11, 2023, 01:57:54 PM
Main goal.of gambling is to give a satisfaction to the people who wants to play gambling some of them treat this as an entertainment purpose only but some of them make this too much serious they made the game as source of income reason why they urge to win but it's gambling the assurance right there is quite small unlike taking a business. In that case people keep chasing their losses and hoping to hit a jackpot in some point it's true but it does not always happen the house always wins the game.
1624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anonymity is no longer a benefit of gambling with cryptocurrency. on: August 11, 2023, 01:16:16 PM
The essence of cryptocurrency is being secured and anonymity. With the centralized platform, the players do not have any more rights because upon creating an account, they agree with the terms and conditions that there's the information needed for them to proceed to make a gamble, be entertained, and more. Some casinos offer a non-KYC or at least a level 1 KYC etc, which requires an email and phone number for part of the verification for account recoveries. The essence of being anonymous might not as we expect. Some trouble with accounts now requires a higher level of KYC that makes the player more expose with the data privacy.
1625  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do wager affect outcomes in any provably fair games on: August 11, 2023, 12:14:59 PM
I noticed that when I start to play games like keno, limbo, dice, etc. First some bets don't hit and after wagering some percentage of my balance it starts to hit,
How it works? like when we wager we have more probability to hit win, anyone noticed this? Do you know how it works and what is the calculation behind it?, do server sends outcomes by checking our wager?

Some casino offer their system calculations with the odds given by the game itself but some of them are not, so in this statement, this is not always happening some gamblers to their first game makes a hit of the rewards, jackpots, etc. This is most likely just speculation of the players, for example, if they didn't make a win in the first try, they speculate for the next coming to try it works, and vice versa on it, or if they win in the first try they win and they think the luck is with them. Players keep playing to increase the odds of winning that's all.
1626  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: benefits of having mature accounts at 3 casinos (personal experience) on: August 11, 2023, 12:01:34 PM
Different gambling casinos offer different consents, perks, exclusive rewards, and others. People want to stick with these rewards but we cannot deny they are not as always contented to the things they have reason why they seeking more gambling casinos offering what other casino don't have, so nothing wrong with this, also you can enjoy all of the perks of it. But for me makes more hassle to have deposit to all of those accounts every time this is my opinion only. Included too your data privacy because you don't know which casino might happen a data breach.
Having 4 to 5 accounts at a trusted casino can provide a different gambling experience. The trouble is that we have to deposit money that may vary for each gambling account. It's okay if we have prepared a certain amount of funds to be used to gamble at each of these casinos. But if we don't have these funds, we may only play in 1 or 2 casino accounts while the others wait for the next money deposit. And it is normal to have more than 1 gambling account because we are never satisfied to play in only 1 casino so we want to get more experience.
Yes creating 1-5 accounts at a casino is normal, but making each account at each different casino making it an adult account is a mistake in my opinion, especially if it is targeted to mature all of them, I also have many accounts at casinos but I don't aiming to make it an adult account, I only switch accounts when I get bored at one casino and looking for fun in my account at another.

For me its quite expensive to have this kind of account but if you are an active gambler who have tons of activity, I guess its just okay because you are paying the perks and rewards reason why you level up the account is because you are get entertained and favorable perks, base on my experience I have games for slot games and e-sports/sportsbook because I want to track the win rates of the both accounts just only two its a players preferences because I'm satisfied with the platform I'm currently using.
1627  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is Stake.com allowed to lock account with $6,000 untill I lose it all? on: August 11, 2023, 11:46:02 AM
Are you an active gambler with the stake if yes you will not face this kind of trouble on your part, but if no, and just recently created an account and make a deposit and then win a large profit seeking a withdrawal immediately for sure they will tag your account for a freeze status, we cannot deny this always happen, each gambling casino have a minimum wage after they deposit just read the terms and conditions too so if you made a deposit and win why not to play those funds you've been use at least a 1k usd, also if you submitted the KYC to them sure they will immediately take an action. @OP if you fix the problem you can now lock the thread in the lower left of the whole thread.
1628  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Have you ever used copy trading apps on: August 10, 2023, 11:45:15 PM
Before I had a hectic schedule and of course I still want to earn through trading before I'm using the Etoro one of the known copy trade and I have a deposited balance of 500$ and up in case and seek for the normal trade not like a high baller traders and leave to the person I make copy trade those traders have their profile too that you can check their winrate and not all the time is a green day. I made profit that time but the problem is I let other people to make a trade for me which it becomes hard for me to decide that someday they might throw their trade so I decided to learn more in a day trade so I can monitor easily.
1629  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to make a life by Day Trading on: August 10, 2023, 01:18:11 PM
You can share the information with your trade OP for example, updates with your current trade, sheets with your margin balance, positions and take profits. Im fan of the MACD too I created a topic before related into it because its ideal too for newbie traders [GUIDE]Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) when I start this trade I trade with the $500 for capital and make a whole day trade not as always have a profit but its good to have end of the day there's an accumulated gains. Beside this I also make a long which takes almost a week to hold, I made different accounts for short and long term trade so I can track the winrates.
1630  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is all what they say about bitcoin true? on: August 10, 2023, 01:04:31 PM
As a newbie on this forum, for some days now I have been going through threads, reading and trying to understand and getting better knowledge on every single one of them
In a thread someone said "Bitcoin is not all about happiness" can a little more light be thrown on this?

People see Bitcoin as always as a profitable source of income but they don't know once they enter the market they need to get a ride with the market price movement, which is the volatility. People see the bitcoin in the up or the ATH feels so satisfaction to them because their investment goes up and continuously because its a bull run, but tried to check them now if they keep celebrating in the bear market they keep silent, and wait again for the ATH to get profit. If you make exploring related to the topic you've created you will see their different stories how they lose their money, house, investment and etc. because of the market crash.
1631  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Came back from long haitus on: August 10, 2023, 11:39:40 AM
I came back here on Bitcointalk from a very long hiatus due to personal reasons. I wanted to start offering again my services such as participating in signature campaigns but I don't know where to start. Can some tell me what are the current qualifications to join some campaign and how/where to get them? Any help will be appreciated. Thank you in advance!

The service board is always open, as long as you can give the details with your offering service, its ideal if you exclude an image, what are the other perks of your service, are what is the cost and also your previous projects handled so the people who see your service already knew that you are not new in this particular field you are offering with. Campaigns information requirements are already open to the first page take time to read before inquiring.
1632  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: As an undergraduate, is it advisable to invest my trustfund in Bitcoin? on: August 10, 2023, 11:01:37 AM
In investment, dont put all of your savings it's a dumb idea, because in case of emergency you have a small amount of money for your needs, instead invest few of your money to the crypto if you still really want to. Currently we are in the down of the market people are waiting for the next halving and accumulate as possible, you can ride with it or make a trade for a daily or weekly basis to gain profit for the short term and hold for a long term. If your allowance is your source of income manage this properly but if you are a working student seems ideal make invest only your super extra, I know its hard to become a working student too so make your study well and invest when you afford now.
1633  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the market still profitable for new projects? on: August 09, 2023, 02:55:47 PM
Given the crowding of the market with hundreds of new projects and the emergence of new services or companies every day, I think that the number of investors or users of these services does not correspond to this large increase.

So my question is: is this market still profitable for new projects?

It depends if the project has a good roadmap, perks why people need to invest and other things for as part get benefits to the investors. The project will go for a good run; the market also affects the project, for example, the project goes to launch, but the market gets to crash the people keep panicking selling their assets, the traders makes a lot of position for buy and sell, the market in a chaos, now it affects because people might doubt that your project is still going well after this crash or not. This always happens based on my experience. But if the team already built a good reputation, good initiative and have a good social media marketing and still consistent the project might be succeed.
1634  Economy / Economics / Re: No choice but to use the unavoidable middle man, the exchange companies. on: August 09, 2023, 02:47:21 PM
I believe that most business owners will prefer to transact money transfers with their customers directly without using an exchange, that will be a third party, and you'll have to pay this third party or middle man money for his services, whether you like it or not. I also believe that nothing beats transacting money directly with your clients or customers, no third party whatsoever. One of the reasons why I like bitcoin is that it's decentralized, and you can do a P2P transaction with another bitcoin holder without any exchange being involved. But for convenience, transparency and scams that are associated with P2P, you don't have much choice but to patronize the services of these exchanges.

You can not eliminate the middle man in businesses, especially in this digital age, be it fiat or cryptocurrencies, because they have come to stay. Big exchanges like Binance, are cashing in on being the middle man in businesses, an unavoidable indirect business associates, in your face, waiting for you to go through them.

Companies and businesses use a third party for efficiency and less hassle on their part, if you have a budget why not buy or use a service so you can work efficiently, for example with here is the salary, they are using third party banks so they can distribute those salaries to their employees account and does not need to wait for a whole day just to give them a paycheck, another is the system use of their company, instead, they are using a file cabinet system, they use a system related into their task so they have the safe data in their database.
In cryptocurrency the use of it is for the decentralized but most of the people using the exchange or other centralized platform because being comvinent to them.
1635  Economy / Economics / Re: What could Elon Musk be buying next? on: August 09, 2023, 01:13:58 PM
Elon who was on the internet for having agreed to a fight with Mark Zuckerberg is one of the worlds billionaires with a networth that's more than Mark's Metaverse.

He has followed a trend of acquiring some of the world's top assets in form of largest shares and ownership of the companies.

In 2021 he purchased huge BTC, in 2022 he acquired Twitter. This is 2023 and he is yet working on huge space exploration project to Mars among others like Neuralink, the boring company, Tesla.

My question is, what big purchase could we see Elon Musk likely make this year?

This allegedly issue shows on the internet, with the competition of both entrepreneur makes the stock market movements a lot, and they release new updates for the both sides, with the part of Elon he always grab the opportunity to buy services or product as possible before everyone notice the potential of it, many speculation reason why he bought a social media platform to gain power and connect to the web3 we know he is a crypto enthusiast too most of the NFT projects related to twitter and not with the FB, also he offer a badge for the verified account but just a paid version not need any follower specification, expect in the future that there's some supported coins again like meme coins as always offer by him.
1636  Economy / Economics / Re: Am I a bad person if I manage to avoid taxes? (Hypothetical question) on: August 09, 2023, 12:40:06 PM
It's just a hypothetical question and says nothing about me. I decided to open thread with this question for a lot of reasons which I'll explain down below.

If you think about inflation, taxes and your salary at the same time, you'll understand how the government eats you alive. Let's start with the fact that იf you live in Europe and have a normal salary, you have to leave almost half of it in taxes. Then, when you want to go for shopping and buy something in store, including food, clothes, technics, etc, you have pay your taxes of those items with already taxed money. Then, the store owner has to pay taxes of the income his store generated. Distributors, who deliver things to these stores, have to pay taxes too. Then there are vehicle taxes, property taxes. So, absolutely everything is taxed and on top of that, our salary is taxed and even on top of that, we experience inflation. This is not fair!

There's always happen an export and import and we called this trading those items before get transferred to the particular place there's already a tax given into it so when you came from the store the things you would like to buy already have a taxes so in that case you cant avoid the tax, unless you will go through the main branch of the item you would like and buy this into them so you don't get too much tax value because there's no transport happen but this is hassle right, reason why you are paying is for the convenience. AFAIK large properties have taxes too and there's a way to prevent this by helping to the community.
1637  Economy / Economics / Re: It ain't meant to be easy on: August 09, 2023, 12:06:05 PM
Newbies that come here see the potential that the forum can earn through the use of the signature campaign, but upon exploring, they knew that the merit system is one of the requirements to rank up, and most like the campaign right now requires at least a minimum rank of a full member, but if they learn more and invest time in the forum how to get merit, they don't need to worry about too much to have this because being knowledgeable member that could contribute a lot of continents merit will follow. Also we have a lot of boards that they can contribute with so they don't need to settle themselves on the top merit-earned board. Theres a lot of information in the forum that they can use in their journey in the forum so earn a profit, the use of it is to help each other to gain knowledge.
1638  Economy / Economics / Re: Are short-term rentals to blame for the lack of housing? on: August 09, 2023, 10:52:37 AM
In this, people want to use their extra assets or houses to use as a rental and there's nothing wrong here. Some of them have this already, and instead, the house not use better to use for the rental, so there's still a cashflow on it, Here in the Philippines some of people use those rentals because its more convenient they don't need to pay a lot of things like the taxes made by the house and if you are focusing with the long term goal you can dream your own house it's more convenient than not having a house. In some point to those people use their house for bnb its ideal only for the houses near in the top places could be known, near in city for the tourist attraction and have a nice view in just a short time frame they can earn more than the people who are employed in regular basis. They are using the house rental for a good cashflow there's nothing wrong with it.
1639  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is for everybody but we must accept it before it can be ours. on: August 08, 2023, 11:44:48 PM
Bitcoin is for everyone who want to use but there's a problem with it even you want to use the bitcoin there's a factor that this can be prevented for example the government they restrict the use of the crypto if you disobey this sure there's a hard punishment so are you willing to risk your freedom on it or not. Also many people saying Bitcoin or crypto is can be use for the salary because it's transparent and sufficient but the problem is the market volatility are you willing to risk your salary to survive for your daily sustain for possible loss due to market movement? I guess no. It's good for everyone but not for everyone.
1640  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A advise to my friend about his decision on: August 08, 2023, 11:23:00 PM
People who are not literate with the bitcoin does not want to have it but sooner or later once they know already the use of the bitcoin for sure they will grab the opportunity to have this.
We cannot deny their ignorance because not all the people related into investment and cryptocurrency so why would they take a risk to have Bitcoin who doesn't know how to use than the land and other tangible assets they can use for investment or sell the property easily.
The bitcoin gives a bad image to other people due to movies and another factor so they are afraid to use this too.
