1621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how many of you are investing in chronobank ico? on: January 07, 2017, 04:26:37 PM
i did invested to chronobank a month ago. they are legit with the reputable people from crypto are involved.
I'm a freelancer from job sites and so this should be a good crypto for me. if you happen to be one of those employees online who will take 6-8 hours aday for a rate, you should also consider chrono because of their LH tokens.

It say that the Australian government is supporting it, where's the proof?

i don't think they will scam though but they may be able to show it later.

But why the hell would you need an additional token for that? why not just create a website to list people offering freelance services for bitcoin? in fact im pretty sure this already exists. I just don't see why we would need an additional bitcoin for this, why not just get paid in bitcoin? having to deal with more tokens just adds more stress to people.
1622  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Klitschko vs Josua Info and predictions on: January 07, 2017, 02:57:01 PM
40 years old against 27 years old and obviously in terms of experience Klitschko is more better but i think he has already through his golden era and maybe that is the cause why the odds for Klitschko is very high

Anthony Joshua @ 1.4
Wladimir Klitschko @ 2.84
Draw @ 32

Never count a Kltischko out. Age is just a number. Bernard Hopkins was a champion in his 50's, sure we saw im recently getting KO'd out of the ring but that doesn't matter, Klitschko is a freak athlete with long arms and great technical skills, he is taller and has a longer reach and a deeper understanding of boxing, all Anthony Joshua has on Klitschko is age and probably explosiveness but that isn't everything to win against him. Im giving K a big win.
1623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Can someone explain wtf Cosmos and Chronobank are about? on: January 07, 2017, 01:29:30 PM
Im talking about these 2 coins:

https://cosmos.network/

https://chronobank.io/

These 2 are running an ico, and I can't tell if they are yet another scam to get bitcoins from people that want to get rich by investing early in an altcoin. Is this worth your time or not?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xp3u6G1VIjY

This seems like something to advertise yourself to get a work... but this already exists in tons of webpages. Why would this be any different?

And the cosmos thing claim sto be the internet of blockchains... wtf?

anyone can ELI5?
1624  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how many of you are investing in chronobank ico? on: January 06, 2017, 05:31:11 PM
Overly complicated.
So no.

Same here, I don't get it and im not a code rso I can't know what this is all about. Also I don't understand the white paper.

Can someone explain what Cronobank is to a normal person that just wants to invest? If I dont see a real use case for something im not buying it.
Also what's the difference between Chronobank and the other coin called "Cosmos"? there's also an ICO for that one being opened soon...

https://github.com/cosmos/cosmos

this one
1625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Let make a list of all ICO"s so far on: January 06, 2017, 04:08:17 PM
https://cyber.fund/radar

You can find all ICOs ever here I think. Just take a look, most of the ICOs fail, the always end up getting dumped as soon as the token hits an exchange, and if it survives, then when it hits poloniex it's showtime... red candles everywhere.

Only very few ICOs give you something profitable. Iconomi went pretty good. I still didnt buy tho, im not sure if its an scam or not.
1626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Decentralized Exchanges: Why do they lack liquidity? on: January 06, 2017, 03:07:08 PM
As some have pointed, in order to attract volume, you need to please the needs of day traders. No exchange is ever going to be big without day traders. Without fast speed movements all you get is a marketplace.

Apparently we may find a solution with the lightning network. We may be able to figure a way out to get a decentralized high velocity exchange. Exciting things in the coming years for bitcoin. Let's just hope we can get segwit as soon as possible.

That is certainly true. While fast settlement is key, to help make the trading process smoother and efficient, decentralized exchanges can soon gain traction as more people start using it.

I have the feeling that the concept of a DEX will improve over time, rendering centralized exchanges with middlemen or central operator a thing of the past. Take a look at OpenLedger, InstantDEX, and EtherEx. They are all good decentralized exchanges with huge potential to change the way you trade cryptocurrencies. Just my opinion.  Grin

We will never fully get the full decentralized experience until we get the lightning network working, possibly with segwit too in order to avoid certain problems... so we are maybe looking at 2 to 5 years until we have decentralized exchanges that can finally replace poloniex and whatnot. Of course, im speaking about crypto->crypto exchanges, I don't see how fiat->crypto exchanges can ever become decentralized since you still depend on the banking system.
1627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Klitschko vs Josua Info and predictions on: January 06, 2017, 01:55:40 PM
Klitschko is still fighting? Isn't he in the era of Mike Tyson and George Foreman nearing the end of their boxing careers? And those guys are in their 60's so he must be about in his 40's.
That is at the end of a man's life cycle in the boxing ring I would think.

Yeah, Wladimir Klitschko is 40 years old and still boxing, he is looking pretty young. Vitali Klitschko is 45 an he has been retired for a while, retired in 2012 with a 45-2 record.

Their first profesional fights were around 1996 so yes, they boxed in the Mike Tyson era... but I guess they were still considered nobodies compared to Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis and Hollyfield. Vitali fought against Lewis in 2003 and lost. I would have liked to see Mike Tyson in his prime fight against the super tall Klitschko brothers.
1628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why does Iconomi work under ETH and not BTC? on: January 06, 2017, 01:12:44 PM
First of all, did you read the white paper? You can not judge the ability of the project by the failure of Ethereum or not! A coin that costs $ 10 is failure? That depends on the point of view.  Roll Eyes

I don't care how much the coin costs, let's look at the fundamentals... and we'll see how Vitalik has done a poor job in numerous occasions. He told exchanges to stop all ETH trades during the DAO disaster, he did a ridiculous fork which resulted in 2 chains, due the rushed hard fork, they forgot to add some fixes so further hard forks will ensue... ETH is indeed a mess, I don't care about it's price, price is just speculation, if they can't get their shit together it will not last.

My question is, why did they choose ETH and not BTC? BTC can't make ICN work? because i've heard that they can move the project to Bitcoin if they want to, my question is why they didn't start with Bitcoin from day one?
1629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Why does Iconomi work under ETH and not BTC? on: January 05, 2017, 07:12:18 PM
Iconomi seems like an interesting idea (if im understand it right... and maybe not). If I get it right, I think it's like a cryptocurrency fund.. now I don't get why there are multiple tokens like ICN, ICXN or whatever, can someone explain how that works? is there multiple tokens or only one?

Also, why does it work under ETH and not BTC? How can I trust a token that works under Ethereum? Ethereum seems like a failure to me, ETH doesn't stop collapsing and im not safe with Vitalik and is crazy hardforks.
1630  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Mirrax's HIGH RISK altcoin investment guide for 2017 on: January 05, 2017, 06:43:10 PM
I wouldl ike to see Ethereum Classic surpassing the hard forked ETH, but I think you are making a big assumption by claiming it will happen. Sure, ETH is stagnating and all that, they fucked up bigtime and so on... but don't understimate how stupid people are and how much of a sheep they are, they will follow Vitalik and whatever he does it will be seen as cool. It's the cult of personality that kills human race, and it is still very strong, this is why I think ETC will have a hard time trying to surpass ETH. I want morality to win, but at the end of the day im here to make money... personally im not holding neither ETH and ETC. I may buy ETC since it seems prime for a pump eventually.

Any thoughts on Iconomi, XMR and Maidsafe??
1631  Economy / Gambling discussion / Klitschko vs Josua Info and predictions on: January 05, 2017, 04:25:20 PM
Quote
Days after the Fury rematch was called off, Klitschko was approached by Eddie Hearn, who promotes IBF champion Anthony Joshua, to fight on the November 28 date they had set for a second defence. Terms seemed to have been agreed for a $30m fight showdown although an initial contract was yet to be signed.[79] After Fury gave up his world titles, it was said that Klitschko wanted the WBA title up for grabs in the potential match up against Joshua and waiting for approval, which the WBA kept postponing.[80] A reason as to why the WBA was delaying sanctioning the fight was due them having a legal settlement with Lucas Browne so he could fight for the vacant title next. Klitschko then turned his attention to fighting Browne instead on December 10, a date his team had an arena set for in Germany.[81] On October 24, Klitschko suffered a minor calf injury which would rule him out until 2017. Talks between the Klitschko camp and Hearn remained active with a fight set for Spring of 2017.[82][83] On November 2, the WBA finally agreed to sanction a fight for their super title as long as Joshua defeats Eric Molina in December 2016.[84]

On December 10, immediately after Joshua had defeated Molina in Manchester Arena, Klitschko was invited into the ring by Hearn. It was announced that Klitschko and Joshua would face each other for the IBF and WBA Super titles at Wembley Arena, London, on the April 29 2017.[85] WBA president Gilberto Mendoza confirmed that the winner will have to face mandatory challenger Luis Ortiz next, with deadlines due to be set after the unification fight.[86][87][8

Big boxing heavyweight fight, lots of money to be made here, this one will be huge, a lot of people has been waiting to see these 2 fight. What do you think? I may gamble and bet for an Anthony Josua win, the guy is younger and eager to win, and Klitschko is I think a bit psychologically damaged from the Tyson Fury loss... but then again maybe that is the fire that he needs to win this one and get a rematch with Tyson... very thought call. Still a long time to go so I will think about it.

1632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Amanda B Johnson - fraud, scam enabler and paid shill for dash/darkcoin scam on: January 05, 2017, 02:46:00 PM
You guys have a different taste in beauty than I do apparently. I'd get hot for something more along these lines:

Compare:

The novelty was that she was a female, libertarian, and supposedly somewhat attractive. Heck I don't care what a woman's politics are, because women typically aren't reliably/logically principled any way (they are emotionally, hypergamy, and family driven). And a few token females isn't changing the fact that Bitcoin is a male only phenomenon.

Sorry I was born before the politically correct, leftist fantasies become the law of the land.

Give her credit though for maximizing her income in our ecosystem. She apparently hit that geek/libertarian sweet spot for a while. Perhaps the novelty is wearing thin now.

It is interesting to note how even Steem didn't manage to escape the confines of our eccentric demographics here in cryptoland.

To be frank, the girl you posted is wearing tons of makeup, probably fake tan and has photoshop to make the colours stand out. Amanda B Johnson's pic is a real picture, she looks cute with long hair parted to the side and not that Sia type of hair that I saw on some recent dash video.

Anyway, the thing is, this girl is obviously a paid shill.  After doing the daily decrypt and shilling classic and ethereum, she moved to the dash youtube program and only shills dash full time. People pay other people to promote products, it has always happened and always will.
1633  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Amanda B Johnson - fraud, scam enabler and paid shill for dash/darkcoin scam on: January 05, 2017, 01:21:01 PM
As far as I can remember, Amanda B Johnson worked in sales, specifically worked selling cars, that's all I know before she started going that program on youtube called the daily decrypt, which started as a good and informative youtube video series, but then something happened... she started being hostile towards bitcoin core, and started shilling bitcoin classic and ethereum, then she started shilling dash. At this time, other youtube people like david seaman also did exactly the same, started hating on core, then started shilling classic and ethereum... I think this is where those shills started getting paid.
1634  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your new year start in gambling! on: January 04, 2017, 11:17:20 PM
I haven't done any gambling on bitcoin yet, but I went to vegas with some friends in new years and had some fun on the casino. I went with 100 bucks and guess what... lost 100 bucks, that's right, I lost it all, but it was still fun, I wasn't expecting anything remarkable. We had some drinks and went to some clubs, the gambling was just an extra, one guy made like 2k in blackjack, most people lost money lol.
1635  Economy / Speculation / Re: If we didnt had idiots blocking segwit we would be sittting on 4 figures by now on: January 04, 2017, 06:17:20 PM
Here we can see that SegWit won't have any positive impact on the Bitcoin's ability to achieve 4 digits. We are already at 4 digits and we have achieved this WITHOUT SEGWIT. This proves that SegWit is not necessary for Bitcoin to soar in value.

This is a ridiculous train of thought. It could also be said that the fact that we are about to smash the last all time high proves that nobody gives a flying fuck about the block size anymore (which I personally think it was always the case... people only wanted to rush a block size increase because they thought it would trigger something like what we are seeing right now, only to find out that we are seeing it with still the good ol 1MB limit)

Im sure if someone makes that claim, you and the big blockers will come and say "bbut its in spite of the small block size.. if we were at 8MB blocks we would be at 10k!" or some ridiculous shit like that.

I personally think this applies to segwit, we are at 1k, but we would be at 2k+ if we had segwit, because segwit means blocksize increase incoming and more importantly, all the new cool features that come with it would be getting ready too.
1636  Economy / Speculation / Re: This pump is not sustainable. on: January 04, 2017, 06:12:38 PM
no pump is sustainable. at the same time no pump and subsequent fall is predictable either. why did you sell at such a huge psychological barrier? it's obvious it was gonna continue if it breached it.

Long time holders are so weak, specially bitcoin holders... im sure a lot of people sold at $1000. "Oh wow, one thousand bitcoin!, this will surely dip". It's 1138 right now, that's 1138 of shorting losses, a lot of money lost for those that decided not to believe in bitcoin's strenght when rising.

And as you pointed out, it's simply impossible to predict when this ride will take a break. Sure, all pumps end up correcting, the question is, you can't know if it will be in $1000, the ATH, or $10000.
1637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are cryptos going up right now? on: January 04, 2017, 04:36:29 PM
I can easily explain why Bitcoin is going up... simply put, it's very undervalued and has been very undervalued for a long time for what it already is, let alone for what it can become in the future, but what I cant explain is why other altcoins are going up too. Maybe Ethereum bottomed, but I dont see why other random alts are going up, its possible the strong Bitcoin is giving the rest of altcoins a positive aura too.

Im not going to risk going anywhere but bitcoin to be honest..
1638  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell your bitcoins within a month or two on: January 04, 2017, 01:44:47 PM
Bitcoin price will again go down to 600-650$ by june-july end.By august it will be definitely in range of 600-650$
Bitcoin value will again start dropping down after reaching 1.2k$ or max 1.3k$ or else will start taking fall soon.
As per reports in a month or two bitcoin will again start falling down from 1000 slowly and steadily and will reach 600 in 6 months and will again start rising after september end/october.

Wrong. You are just victim of the "oh it went up, so it must go down" mentality. Reality is, there is nothing that tells us such a big correction of 50% will happen. In fact, if we can finally get segwit going and the idiots blocking it give up and start collaborating, we are going to see 2k sooner than most expect. We just need keep making solid progress and keeping the project alive, everything else will happen when it's due. Not even a big exchange "hack" will push the price down massively.
1639  Economy / Speculation / Re: why did btc sort of jump from 800 to 1K on: January 04, 2017, 01:32:47 PM
I predicted that after we broke the $778 resistance of last december, we would fly up to the skies and beyond:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1712722.0

It turns out I was perfectly right, im modestly congratulating myself on this one... I also told shorts to liquidate all shorting positions in $1000 because there would not be a big correction, most likely we would aim for a new all time high. A lot of people didn't listen and now they are paying the price, a big price of 90 dollars + leverage in shorting losses.
1640  Other / Meta / Re: Dear signature spammers... (or account farmers.) -- Read the STATS inside. on: January 03, 2017, 01:33:44 PM
You are making the mistake of thinking that McDonalds minimum wage applies in every country in the world... but someone making 380 ish dollars with 3 accounts posting on the internet is having a great deal in certain countries. Even in some European countries like in some parts of Czech republic or nearby, you could make a living in some non expensive area with that money.

Sig campaigns are saving a lot of people's lives. Let's not ruin something that has an actual direct impact on people's lives thanks to bitcoin. Some people hate commuting and having a boss telling you what to do, they may prefer to make less money and get the freedom of working at your own schedule in return, plus like I said before, in some countries you make more than minimum wage with sig campaigns (is not my case, for me is just a small bonus, im still doomed to work unfortunately).
