781  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What the hell is JPMorgan upto? on: September 16, 2017, 12:49:39 PM
Jamie Dimon finally earned a fortune to his daughter who was supposedly being mocked by his father of being Bitcoin enthusiast.

If what you are saying is true, then Jamie Dimon must be investigated for inside trading and fraud. This is not a silly matter. As a result of his irresponsible statements, he caused financial ruin to many hundreds of thousands of people. If it can be proven that he made the statements in order to help his daughter, then both of them must be sent to the prison.

He said "my daughter made some money off of Bitcoin, and now she thinks she is a genius"  during his Kodak rant.

It was also said by Dimon that Bitcoin could hit $100,000 before it crashes. So what we have here is subtle pumping while FUDding. These bastards helped to dump the price along with the China ban thing to make newbies panic sell on their lap, now they are loaded up on cheap BTC and it isn't going lower than $3000 again. This is insider trading textbook, I don't know how this is even legal, but then again Dimon is known for billions in actual fraud with mortgages and so on.
782  Economy / Gambling / Re: Any multiplayer games where you can bet bitcoin? on: September 15, 2017, 04:31:42 PM
I want fun, multiplayer games to make bets with my friends using Bitcoin. My favorite of all times that I've seen was this:

www.battlecoin.org

Unfortunately the project is abandoned. It could have been awesome if it got perfected with the lag problems fixed and so on. I love the idea of arcade games mixed with bitcoin. I was wondering if anyone knows any similar games where you can bet some bitcoin at.

I dont think you'll find that kind of game with bitcoin easily, I cant see any efforts from the bitcoin community to build such video games. Maybe most of gambling site's owners thinks that this kind of game is not profitable because only few people will play. Most gamblers in this world will prefer to play luck based game such as dice or roulette instead of video games IMO.

Gaming is a huge market. Skill based games are more entertaining than just rolling a slot machine all day. There's a place for both and both can be fun, but I think this field has not been exploited properly with Bitcoin.

If I had the 30 BTC I would buy the website, I would hire some developers and I would launch a ad campaign, signature campaign and anything that could help promoting it.

I still believe in this type of format becoming huge once crypto is really mainstream, maybe it's still early on in the game but we will see bitcoin in multiplayer games everywhere once we have the lighting network and payment channels allow you to embed fast cheap bitcoin payments pretty much everywhere.
783  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: September 15, 2017, 03:50:27 PM
Singapore GP is great track for Ferrari and if Vettel want to stay in fight for championship, he must win.
And Mercedes before race weekend extended contract with Bottas. He shows good and stable results and this what Mercedes need.
Important news for McLaren. According to Autosport.com, McLaren reached agreement with Honda to be released from their partnership and switch to Renault engines.
https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/131767/mclaren-agrees-deal-to-leave-honda-for-renault
I hope that next season Mclaren will be able to reach finnish and fight higher positions. It's shame to see what is happening to this legendary team in last and this seasons.

That is the best news that has come out from McClaren since the beginning of the season. But who will their new engine partner be next year?

Renault? They are having their own problems too. Redbull has been blaming them for being unreliable during races.

Mercedes? Are they willing to use a weaker version of the fastest engine in Formula 1?

What about Fernando Alonso? Will he stay or go?

McLaren planning to use Renault engines. And Alonso still didn't decided, he will stay or not.
And Toro Rosso signed deal with Honda to use their engines. In future, Red Bull also can use Honda engines, if Toro Rosso will show good results.

It depends a lot on how things are going to develop in the following months. It's clear that Alonso is a top3 driver and is underperforming due the insanely crappy car that he has the unfortunate to be driving with his current team.

It all comes down to what teams give him a chance for the next season. The problem with top world champions is that teams don't want two world champions on the same team, usually they have a world champion and a newcomer or a guy that's not that good so they don't have dangerous situations like we saw with Hamilton vs Alonso era in McClaren.
784  Economy / Gambling / Re: Any multiplayer games where you can bet bitcoin? on: September 15, 2017, 02:33:33 PM
Do u consider event based betting as multiplayer game?

Not really. Im looking for proper multiplayer videogames, where you are controlling a character... just your classic videogame but with bitcoin betting.

I don't consider a multiplayer pinball for example, what im looking for, or anything that could be found at a casino.

I want a proper videogame, ideally with arcade aesthetics because im a nostalgic for old games. I would love a version of MAME that allows bitcoin betting embedded in the client, ideally in a webbrowser... that would be epic.
785  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 0.15 is so damn fast!!! on: September 15, 2017, 02:01:40 PM
And what's more important: Bitcoin Core 0.15 automatically bans attackers such as the segwit2x (btc1) nodes, so everyone must update immediately in order to be ready for the november 1 st attack-hardfork by CIA gent Jeff Garzik and co.

Get all of your nodes updated to Bitcoin Core 0.15, enjoy the increased speed and enjoy helping the network from scammers trying to fork it.
786  Economy / Services / Re: ♠ BETCOIN.AG ♠ Signature Campaign - High Pay - Monthly Payments - Bonuses ♠ on: September 15, 2017, 12:17:02 PM
Well, we know what the rate will be: fixed rate of 0.05 BTC per calendar month. The only thing not known yet is the minimum number of constructive posts that will be required for each month. That along with who actually has been selected by the powers that be among those who requested/applied to continue with the new campaign. I'm sure they will let us know in due time. They might still be hammering out the fine details and deciding things.

0.05 BTC is too low. Look at the current price. There are Sr Member making 0.035 a week on other campaigns (any of the ones that pay 0.0007 per post). As a legendary member that also wears an avatar 0.05 at this low BTC price feels really low to be honest, just compare it to other campaigns.

Hopefully manager adjusts an higher rate due the lower BTC price.

788  Economy / Speculation / Re: I want to Buy or Multiply bitcoins on: September 14, 2017, 03:41:25 PM
Ideas for quick BTC investment?

Bitcoin fluctuation now creates certain momentum for action.

The worst strategy is to hold them and wait that "nothing" happens.
Selling it - is the sign of personal weakness and panic
Buying it - is for those who likes opportunities (perhaps me)
Investing - perhaps is the best strategy now. (it's me  Grin )

What do you think?

Not doing anything is as valid of an option as the next one, this is investing 101.

If you are not sure what's going to happen and you believe in the fundamentals (and in this case, I believe in the fundamentals of Bitcoin regardless of price action, so im holding through the storm).

You risk losing your position hoping that the price will go lower to re-buy cheaper. You can't know where the bottom is. It could be current price or not, who cares if we will be back at $5000+
789  Economy / Speculation / Re: End of bubble, recovery impossible. on: September 14, 2017, 01:47:56 PM
Ethereum and OmiseGo (OMG) is the future, both will be PoS and implement Plasma (1 million tx/second), maybe even KyberNetwork Decentralized Exchange... not this slow crapcoin with incredibly large fees programmed by incompetent developers.

Bitcoin has brought us a new idea, but we have better uses than crippled bitcoin for it.

Two facts here:

1) There is no such thing as "Crypto 3.0 coins", whatever that means. Thereum, OmiseGO, IOTA and whatever else you want to mention are scams. Bitcoin reigns supreme.

2) Kwukduk is a troll that has been wrong a million times. Here's just a glimpse of this poster's past history:

"The crash continues, dead cat bounce."
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=918368.msg10086490#msg10086490

"Who bought this latest dead cat?"
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=953177.msg10434758#msg10434758

"return of the dead cat"
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=930100.msg10211279#msg10211279

"wow dead cat bounce. surprise!"
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1233435.msg12844148#msg12844148

"SURPRISE! Dead cat bounce."
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1048416.msg11281894#msg11281894

And it goes on and on for years.
790  Economy / Services / Re: ♠ BETCOIN.AG ♠ Signature Campaign - High Pay - Monthly Payments - Bonuses ♠ on: September 14, 2017, 11:57:44 AM
Still waiting for some updates from the campaign manager, anyone has any clue on whats going on?

The current term continues as normal until september 23, then we will need news from the manager to see what the new rate will be.

0.05 is way too low specially for Legendary members, and specially BTC is crashing badly. The campaign will become one of the lowest paying ones, so I hope they re-consider the rates and adjust them accordingly to the new, lower BTC price..
791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mayweather Vs McGregor: Info and prediction thread on: September 13, 2017, 04:23:32 PM
The game is over, there is no need to bump this thread anymore. (Unless we see a rematch.)
Mayweather was the favorite and won the game. We didn't see any surprise. He beats McGregor's ass and made 50-0.
It's time for him to retire, he's too old now.
There would never be a rematch in my opinion because Mayweather doesn't need it anymore and that match made him lots of money and it's just one game for him. It was obvious that he would win knowing that he's 49-0 before the match happened and probably he wanted to make his 50th match to be an amazing one or a unique one and that's what he did.

I think he's just toiling with the minds of the rest of us in the world. He's making serious market from us by promoting dull games with trash talk so he can milk us and he's succeeded in a number of times that's why he will not go for a rematch because they won't sell so he will probably look for another trash talker and they'd hype a new fight perhaps.
I thought about that too, I just think he doesn't need to earn more money with his fights and it's just going to be upright scripted if you ask me. 50 - 0 is already an awesome number for him to be in the real retirement stage, he wouldn't have another match anymore. He doesn't even need the money nonetheless, Mayweather has all the material things at his disposal.

He's done. This fight is done and a rematch is very unlikely. Connor should stay away from boxing and shouldn't juggle between ghe two contact sports he's tried. Very few excelled in any two sport. Even michael jordan realized this after his short stint as a baseball player
I think it's going to be a rough path for Conor if he wants to pursue a profesional boxing career starting at age 29... even if he is a MMA champion, he needs a lot of training to excel against top boxers.

I believe he can milk his fame and get tons of money in superfights where there is a lot of drama involved, for example a Malignaggi fight would definitely be a great success financially.
792  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will push Bitcoin to $10,000 on: September 13, 2017, 12:53:32 PM
If someone here says China, then man I am sorry to tell you, that you are one of the Pigs, Bulls Make Money, Bears Make Money, Pigs Get Slaughtered.

So lets see what we have:

1- USA opening new doors for BTC..Will not happen.

2- Europe..Just keep moving!

3- Japan..Maybe will push it above $5000.

4- Russia? No.

5- Gulf states? Maybe will push it above $5500

6- Financial melt down another 2008, or 1920...Here is your $10,000, which will happen, and thank you Trump!

Do you now understand why Chinese gov keeps spreading rumors? and lower the price to buy more?

Another 2008? Wow you see that coming very soon? Like in 2018? or 2019? Because we will have something major in 2022 for sure.

I would say around 2020-something too. The bond market is going to collapse and geopolitical situation with North Korea and so on will just keep getting worse. Add in the materialization of the brexit, add in Euro collapse... so many bullish reasons for BTC, and this is not considering the technological improvements that are coming such as lightning network, finally allowing everyone on the planet to transact BTC, or sidechains, rendering all alts useless.

BTC is going $100,000 next decade, forget $10,000. Trump will try to avoid the bond market crash for as long as possible but they can't stop this, nobody can.
793  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bought my first BTC @ $4600, slightly worried on: September 13, 2017, 12:06:48 PM
Just look at it this way: Did people that buy at $1300 back in 2013 feel really bad for a long time? yes they did.

Do people nowadays dream to buy bitcoin at $1300? yes they do.

In Bitcoin you never lose money if you are patient. Sooner or later the price will go higher than where you bought at, you just need patience, and most people simply aren't cut to hold long term on the red. Don't be the guy that sells at a loss.

21 million bitcoin. 7.5 billion people. Do the math.
794  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 215: Johnson vs Borg Info and Prediction Thread on: September 12, 2017, 03:43:49 PM
Anyway, how was main event?  Is it worth watching?

It wasn't a good fight. They were both waiting to counter & spent a lot of time not doing anything waiting for the other person to make a move.

Gilbert Melendez vs Jeremy Stephens was a brutal fight. Can't say that was really a good fight either so much as a one sided beat down.

Ilir Latifi vs Tyson Pedro might have been the best fight on the card that wasn't a completely one sided affair.

Wasn't able to watch the fight but I read that the fight is very tactical and they are very careful against each other, so I don't think they lived up to the hype. And they say that the fans are booing, LOL. I guess the 5th round takedown really seal the victory for Nunes. Yes, the Melendes and Stephens fight are brutal and we all know the Gilbert get bloodied always. And Jeremy Stephens won the fight. Will try to look for videos later and watch the fight though.

Valentina vs Amanda fight was such a scam. Valentina clearly won, outstriked her for 5 rounds. The only thing Amanda Nunes did was to go for the takedown on round 5, not much else to be honest. I can't believe how much a of a scam of a split decision that was. Dana White must be so pissed off at this, considering that he was mad at Amanda. I doubt he made Amanda win by paying the judges or something. Didn't enjoy this card, the rest of fighters nobodies for a casual fan like me. I can't wait for the next Ferguson vs Lee main card, that will be great.
795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on its way up again, increase +25% within 24 hrs on: September 12, 2017, 02:48:48 PM
It increased so rapidly that it's going to dump soon. We have to remember that the dev team is not able to deliver and strong hands and whales dumped already leaving only bagholders.

More information:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2166184.0

Does this mean IOTA isn't good for long term hodl? I'd like to sell my NEO and perhaps bought some IOTA and Lisk.

Instant cheap decentralized blockchain-less no-scaling-issues transactions coin? Sounds too damn too to bed true, and in fact, it is not that good, because I have heard several people now pointing at technical flaws.

I wouldn't hold this coin long term to be honest. If it sounds too good to be true, then it is too good to be true.

Bitcoin still #1 and no altcoin is solving its issues.
796  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens if BTC gets regulated? on: September 12, 2017, 12:28:16 PM
Bitcoin will never be regulated by the state. Perhaps the state will try to create their own crypto currency and they will be monitored by the government. Don't know how it's going to have the trust of the people, but such currency will be more stable that's for sure.

That is no true. There are already some countries where Bitcoin is already regulated, like Netherlands and some US states, Japan. And there is no harm in Bitcoin regulation, that could only benefit because it would lead to biger addoption, especialy in businesses, and then you can divide legal from illegal Bitcoin operations. Regulation doesn't mean centralization that many users have fear.

The notion of bitcoin being regulated is a fallacious one. What you are talking about is fiat to bitcoin exchanges being regulated. This is not the same as "Bitcoin is begin regulated". You can't regulate the protocol.

You can work for bitcoin, get paid in bitcoin, and buy something from someone with bitcoin, without the government being able to do anything about it. That's the whole point of bitcoin.
797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: POSW is going to get pumped to $5+ by a whale group on: September 11, 2017, 03:10:47 PM
I said this coin would go to $1+ and I still say this coin will go to $1+. The fundamentals are good, the devs keep on improving the project, the technical (circulating supply, current price etc) are also good and prone for an epic pump.

Once it gets into an exchange with liquidity, we will finally see it shine. Bittrex could be it and its coming at the right time.
798  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Proof of Traffic/Bandwith on: September 11, 2017, 01:42:42 PM
There are various crypto's that reward staking by keeping your wallet open and there are crypto's like SIA, MaidSafe, Burst that offer reward for storage capacity. However, I am not aware of any crypto-projects that offer the opportunity to get rewarded through staking traffic? I have plenty of bandwith to offer, which is not used most of the time.

It's this the same concept as we saw in Freenet? Never used it but supposedly everyone stored everyone else's data encrypted, and then it would be impossible to stop the network since every computer would be a node, similar to Bitcoin nodes storing the blockchain, but without proof of work involved.

If Core devs didn't entertain this idea im sure there are big problems with it. I remember Maidsafe never delivered on its promised thus far..
799  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BLOOMBERG JUST REPORTED: China bans cryptocurrency exchanges on: September 11, 2017, 11:31:02 AM
Just more fucking around by the usual suspects. If they really ban it, then their opinion is now irrelevant, they can't no longer keep FUDding with other news. You banned it? okay, now shut your dumb commie chink mouth and watch the price go up, because you made the mistake of actually banning it. Bitcoin will survive your commie garbage government.

Now, what's most likely is, it didn't even get banned and these news sites are looking for easy views and will come up with a clarifying statement in the next hours.

In any case, buy the dip.
800  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Chart of the Day | Bears Taking on Litecoin? on: September 10, 2017, 04:28:00 PM
Litecoin might have peaked above $80 very recently but the bearish market sentiment of the last few days cut its rise short. LTC/USD markets continue experiencing big losses after the initial downward spike.

Chart source:

https://cryptocoincharts.info/pair/ltc/usd/bitfinex/2-days

That's a nice chart.

I dumped by Litecoin a while ago. I think we are going to see a bear market on Litecoin until next year when we get cross chain atomic transactions in order for Bitcoin to benefit from Litecoin. This could be a great thing to drive the price of Litecoin up, ideally 1/4 of a Bitcoin as the goal of Litecoin being the silver of crypto.
