821  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Doubts about BTC -> BCH process on: September 05, 2017, 01:51:12 PM
I want to update on this in case someone is going through the same hell trying to sell the Bitcoin ABC node. I was able to finally sync it yesterday, so it took me almost a month to sync the damn thing.

As I expected and contrary to what someone told me, the last blocks were much faster. Once it stopped syncing the legacy chain part, after it started needing to connect to the internet to download the latest block, it went from 0.10% hourly increase to 0.90% hourly increase, so the last couple of percentages left where completed in the same day.

Now im just deciding if im going to dump it right now or further speculate with it in hopes of a random Roger Verified pump.
822  Economy / Services / Re: ♠ BETCOIN.AG ♠ Signature Campaign - High Pay - Monthly Payments - Bonuses ♠ on: September 05, 2017, 10:41:27 AM
We would like to announce that with the current stage we close the current pay-per-post campaign and start new campaign with fixed rates for 30 participants. If you took part in our pay-per-post campaign and you are Legendary member from next month you have the chance to join the new campaign. We offer a fixed rate of 0.05 BTC per month for participants. The rate includes paid for posts and if you wear our avatar also for avatar. If you are interested please post via this thread or via private message. We do not accept any people out of the current campaign. We will select the top 30 participants from the submissions. The new campaign will run from the first day of the each month to the last day of the month. Your Betcoin.ag account will be charged 0.05 BTC each month as long as you participate in our campaign.Thank you.

0.05 per month and what's the minimum post count per month? Thanks, not interested in joining though. Just want to update your details.

I would like to know this too. I want to continue in here because Betcoin.ag has been a solid campaing and I have been here for more than a year, but this is a serious downgrade in the rates... currently I was able to make 0.093, so -0.043 for the same work is not good news, specially if BTC keeps crashing. Let us know.
823  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC FN 115: Volkov vs Struve Info and Prediction Thread on: September 05, 2017, 10:36:39 AM
Stevan Struve still has to improve a lot his striking. His gameplan was not good enough, he was gasing out at the third round and Volkov was capitalizing on it with a ton of punches. His defense was down. Also his ground game is weak, he was too easily ground and pounded. A waste of potential for such a big a guy with epic reach.

I can’t imagine how frustrating it must be to be one of Struve’s coaches. The guy has all the right tools and attributes, but just never seems to be able to put it all together when it matters most. Struve mentioned he’d like some time off, which I think is a good idea. Hopefully by the time he’s ready, Junior Dos Santos will be finished with his USADA business and they can have that rematch that was booked for March. He always has this issue of gassing out in the later rounds that cost him some of his fight as evident of this lost. Volkov entering the Heavyweight division win this win is a welcoming news. Let see how his career goes in UFC.

Well, at some point if your joints are too long you can become an uncoordinated mess. That's why there are so many lanky guys that can't fight and get beaten by shorter sturdier guys. But look at Jon Jones, lanky guy with big joints that mastered his tools and turned himself into an unbeatable opponent. Too bad that his legacy is now pretty much over after the cheating/drug incidents. Now that is a real waste of talent.

Gp Monza top 10:

1  Lewis Hamilton  Mercedes   gap
2  Valtteri Bottas     Mercedes   + 4"471
3  Sebastian Vettel  Ferrari       + 36"317
4  Daniel Ricciardo  Red Bull     + 40"335
5  Kimi Raikkonen     Ferrari       + 57"844
6  Esteban Ocon   Force India    + 70"338
7  Lance Stroll  Williams              + 71"653
8  Felipe Massa     Williams       + 72"064
9  Sergio Perez     Force India    + 75"276
10 Max Verstappen   Red Bull      + 1 lap

The Mercedes have dominated this race!
Hamilton is the new leader of the world championship.
Incredible comeback for Ricciardo (4th)

It is a track which is run 85% at full throttle so winning from Mercedes was widely expected. They , the media do a lot of hype about Ferrari how good they are progressing this year but in fact I don't see any progress from them, I only see Mercedes making bad decisions in the beginning races of this season. Now everything fits the puzzle, Ferrari and everyone will continue to struggle and Mercedes will keep on winning everything. That's why F1 is super boring compared to MotoGP.

I didn't manage to watch the race but looks like I didn't miss anything out of the ordinary. The expect top5 is there, no upsets. Esteban Ocon at number 6th is pretty surprising. He is only 21, maybe he gets promoted into a better team if he keeps performing.

Alonso abandoned once again with a problem in the shifter. He abandoned so he could get a new shifter in Singapur. The nightmare continues.
826  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO is officially banned in China !!! on: September 04, 2017, 11:07:36 AM
Here's the list of ICOs banned by China:

Looks like nothing of value was lost. Purge that shit.

Once the markets realize this is not a global ban of all ICOs, but only some ICOs that no one even knows, BTC will be the first to go back up, followed by speculative altcoin money short after.

Stop falling for the good ol chinese tricks and traps and buy the dip.
827  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / A deep dive into Bitcoin Core 0.15 on: September 04, 2017, 10:04:44 AM
While scammers are trying to overtake Bitcoin with spam and astroturfing, the real smart guys keep developing solid software:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nSRoEeqYtJA

The new Bitcoin Core will be 50% faster, have a super improved fee estimation for cheaper transactions and much more.

Bitcoin Core continues being the leading team with the best development in the space, proving anyone that wants to fire them while putting scammers such as Gavin Andresen, Jeff Garzik, Roger Ver and Craig Wright in charge, to be terrorists against Bitcoin.

It is a good time to bet on Sebastian in Monza. I reckon that Ferrari will do something more and try to win harder for their home race. They also cannot have Lewis get the lead in the championship.

My prediction, Sebastian will take FP3 and pole position in qualifying.

Today it rains a lot at Monza and surely the pole position will be wet, in the fp3 all pilots are using full wet.
Rain can make the pole position unpredictable

This is why I said the most skilled pilots can take high-risk/high-reward strategies and try to beat the pilots that may have better cars but not as skilled in the rain. If we can have a clean start we can have a great race of strategy and endurance, because trying to keep your car on the track with heavy rain is a nightmare. If the rain is not too hardcore, it may not make that much a difference tho, because of the modern technology allowing cars to be glued into the track even in harsh circumstances. Back then during V10 and V8 times the cars were way harder to control, so we are going to need some serious rain to put them in trouble.
829  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What happened? on: September 03, 2017, 12:44:56 PM
Panic selling happened. $5000 is too strong of a psychological barrier to blast through it at the first attempt, so smart money is starting to accumulate now on the dips because the next atempt will most likely be the good one, and we will go to $5000+ guaranteed, which means, you better stack stockpiling on sub $5000 BTC at the highest rate as possible.

And once we get rid of the damn big blockers for once, the days of 4 figure a BTC will be over.

I can't wait for Bitcoin Core 0.15 and lightning network and sidechains.

It's going to be a good day for Alonso to try to pull some impossible feats. In rainy days Alonso is one of the best ever, and a rainy Monza could allow for some overtakes, and potentially some chaos could happen in the first spots that other could take advantage of, so either Hamilton or Vettel may not finish the race.
831  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is bitcoin on: September 03, 2017, 10:37:07 AM
What do you say when asked this question from a friend who has only heard its name mentioned a few times in the news and has no clue. I find myself lately taking the easy way out and suggesting google. I would prefer to give a clearer answer, but usually saying something leads to more questions and more confusion.
If someone could point me to a twitter type answer that would inform and twig their curiosity, i think it would be a better outcome.

I also tell them to google it if they want more information. Honestly it's fucking annoying when people that are clueless start making all these questions. It's going to be easy for them to just start doing some research. I tell them that it's a decentralized currency but it's better used as a store of value rather than a currency because it's honestly pretty stupid to spend your BTC on groceries when you know it's going to go up, similarly to how it's stupid to buy groceries with gold.

Valentino Rossi has broken his tibia and fibula in an enduro training accident in Italy...

Most likely his season is over, surely he is out of the games for the victory of the world championship

That's unfortunate... he has been trying so hard for the past few years trying to get his last championship, but he always ends up having bad luck.

I think he should just retire. Why keep risking your life at such at late age? It's a good time to sit back and enjoy your millions, but then again, I guess that's why they are so good, they really like what they do for a living, unlike most people.
833  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / F2pool drops from NYC agreement: all time highs on: August 31, 2017, 10:56:03 PM
The first major player that signed the so called NYC agreement has resigned from it, causing an immediate positive reaction in the market, hitting all time highs.

As previously disused, segwit2x is nothing but another powergrab attempt, and doesn't actually help when it comes to a stronger, more sovereign Bitcoin:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2130222.msg21285670#msg21285670

The actual news:

https://www.coindesk.com/f2pool-reneges-mining-pool-pulls-segwit2x-support-hard-fork/

Turns out Wang Chun is real bitcoiner after all.

If more hashrate keeps dropping from segwit2x and we can avoid the hardfork, expect $10,000 by x-mas.
834  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: August 30, 2017, 11:01:22 PM
There is a big rumor that Williams wants Fernando Alonso for the next season. Lance Stroll need an old-timer alongside to get better. But will be Williams better team for Alonso than McLaren? William is weaker and weaker now. Every team has some improvements, but it seems like in Williams they are doing something wrong.

Alonso will definitely leave McLaren for sure. Team that are rumored to be for him besides Wiliams are Reno and Mercedes. Dont know how he will be in Mercedes cuz he left McLaren last time due to fight with Lewis. This one is hard to back up, for other teams think that its very possible reason they have better engine and the car from current McLaren one. This is hard for Alonso seeing him so only cuz power unit when down twice in last two races, must say this is frustrating to the rooftop.

Still he announced that he will say after next race what he will do will he stay in Formula 1 or leave. It would be shame to see him leave but think he is also considering to go in INDY championship cuz he almost won INDY 500 he lead most of the race but engine blow up.

Alonso wants to win the Indy 500 and 24h of LeMans in order to have the three big motorsports championships. Im sure that if next year he doesn't have a competitive car he will try either Indy500 again or LeMans. Probably Indy500 because now he got the experience from the previous year, he can definitely win if the car doesn't fail again.

Current championship I can't decide if Vettel or Hamilton will win.
835  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BCH, SegWit, SegWit2 - I'm confused, can you help in laymans terms please on: August 30, 2017, 10:37:47 PM
Segwit2x is another iteration if the usual scammers trying to push a hardfork into bitcoin to gain power of the main branch and add anti privacy stuff, including a blocksize that's too big for people to run nodes at (first it will be 2MB, quickly it will be 4... 8... etc)

Read more of the segwit2x scam here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2130222.msg21285670#msg21285670

BCH is just Roger Ver/Bitmain experiment to have big blocks without segwit.

BTC is the real Bitcoin.
836  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto caught by NSA? on: August 29, 2017, 12:26:40 PM

It is known by everyone that as been here for a while that something strange happened once Gavin Andresen went to the CIA. Satoshi disappeared after that. It's also weird that Mike Hearn went to work with the banks at R3, and both have been the biggest proponents in hardforking, which leads to the strong hypothesis of all these hardforks to centralize the networks inside datacenters due big blocks are orchestrated by the government or some sort of 3 letter agency.

Craig Wright's connections to PsyOPS stuff is also pretty scary, makes the theory look pretty legit to me.
837  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cash to the moon? [UPDATED: Lost money I feel stupid] on: August 28, 2017, 05:46:49 PM
We tried to tell you (or at least anyone worth listening to): Do not go into hardforks or you risk lossing all of your real BTC.

Now you are realizing that BCC is just a toy for miners to play with, look at how stupid the difficulty and hashrate looks on this thing:

http://fork.lol/

BCash takes a vacation ever 3 days, this thing is just not serious.

And now the segwit2x scammers will try to get people forking into 3 BTCs.
838  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / CAUTION: Major big blocker astroturfing going on on: August 28, 2017, 03:57:35 PM
As I predicted a while ago, major big blocker astroturfing would kick in again after segwit activation:

The Bitmain-Ver PBOC sponsored attack on Bitcoin is increasingly obvious as the spam attacks become increasingly less organic and happening right in key moments where hardfork FUD is being spread.

Segwit2x will soon join XT, Classic, and Unlimited into the also ever increasing list of Failed Bitcoin Takeover attempts.

Sorry, no hard forks for you.

The mempol is getting filled again with funny transactions.

The spam machine is on and so is the propaganda one. Obvious example of abnormal upvoting in reddit:

3399 upvotes on an obvious "hey guys im acting neutral but the fees are soo high! :/" type of thread. That type of activity on the votes is extremely obvious to be manipulated.
Also there is evidence of tons of reddit accounts being bought as they became active all at the same time after years of inactivity,
https://archive.fo/lPbSS

Notice how the user has deleted his past activity now that the account was caught:
https://www.reddit.com/user/gtmb
archived just in case:
https://archive.is/ee0Md

and its well known Roger Ver pays people to retweet his shit:
http://birds.bitcoin.com/

The agenda is obvious. Notice that by supporting the segwit2x camp, the BCash camp benefits because the more disturbance there is with Bitcoin, the more Bitcoin Cash will gain as noobs will see it as a safe haven when it's the opposite.

Don't fall for the hardforker's propaganda, or you will be sorry when you lose your money. Rushing a hardfork in a month with inferior developers into inferior software creating more confusion and a price crash due 3 Bitcoins is not what anyone holding BTC without no external agendas want, so be sure to not fall for the FUD and be sure to not support these scammers.

Perfect race from Hamilton and I win the H2H bet against Vettel however thanks to the inexperience of Bottas and not a needed safety car I lost the H2H bet of Bottas against Raikkonen. A not so beautiful race to watch with Alonso complaining all the time about a shameful Honda engine which didn't have power today. Moto GP starting in about 18 minutes from now.

Hamilton is making the competition excting again, it was getting boring with Vettel's domination, and I was starting to feel like it was over, but Hamilton is getting closer to Vetel again.

You judge the season as boring already? This is one of the closest fights for the driver's championship we have in years. There is clearly no domination by Sebastian or Lewis this year.

If they continue to try to surpass one another then the driver's champion might be decided in the last race of the season.

Yes maybe it was too early to say Vettel was clearly dominating, there's still time to keep it tight until the end, but I still think Vettel will win and Hamilton will be able to overtake him.

Alonso is probably going to compete again next year in Indy 500 because at this rate he isn't going to be able to compete for the championship unless he gets a better car, so he will not care to miss another race.
840  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: August 27, 2017, 06:01:20 PM

Oh and of course, we had to see Alonso's curse continue. It is unfortunate to see him break so many motors. He must have a world record of breaking motors at this point. He needs to get a better card next year or just retire, he should be fighting for the championship but he can't due having a shitty car each year.
