1622  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: July 16, 2023, 01:15:05 PM
~ Personally I think that if at some point a gambler develops an AI like this and eventually they get banned by casinos due to the edge they get, eventually this software may make it to the hands of gamblers all over the world, and if that is the case then you will find yourself at a massive disadvantage, compared to those which are willing to use such tool.

How can you ban something like this? Although, maybe we see how to use AI to predict outcomes differently? I see it like this. You promt it to search for the needed info, like injuries of the main players, health and legal issues, their probable replacement, everything that affect the outcome of the game, and then you ask whether making a bet with a certain odds makes sense, right? And you either accept its advice or you don't. How can you ban such an adviser?
1623  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you lose on slots? on: July 16, 2023, 12:05:45 PM
<snip>.
Not everyone gets bored playing Plinko, there are even those who solely play that game. Personally, I also find it enjoyable and not boring. However, if you play it for a long time, it can become repetitive and boring. The main point is that everyone has different preferences, so we can't say that everyone dislikes this game. On the other hand, slots are specifically designed to be entertaining, which is why most people find them enjoyable to play and don't get bored easily.

That's what I'm talking about. I'm not trying to say that Plinko is so boring that I hate this game and never play it. No. I used to play Plinko a lot in the past. I even hit 1,000x multiplier twice, although the win itself wasn't that big because the stake was around 1 cent only. But, as I see, you agree yourself that Plinko can become boring with time. There are many online slots that can become boring too, most of them, I would say. But I think there are more than twenty of them that no one would call boring.

Nice!
What was your biggest hit on Stake?

My biggest hit on Stake was on The Bowery Boys by Hacksaw Gaming:

I was hunting for 40x+ for a similar challenge on the Stake Forum, and hit this, accidentally> Smiley

I have tried this slot for last 3 days but still no decent hit. My luck is good usually on either PnG or NLC slot providers.
Imagine hitting 300,000x on Tombstone Rip slot by No Limit City and changing your life standards. That is just my dream tbh.

Tombstone Rip is one of my favourite slots. I simply love the accompanying animation. I remember hitting something around 400x when I was playing the slot for the very first time, and although there were no big multipliers since then, I keep returning to it from time to time. Let's hope one of us hits that 300,000x one day and post about that here.
1625  Economy / Gambling / Re: Without money, does it still qualify as gambling? on: July 16, 2023, 10:54:50 AM
~ I don' agree with your opinion, we should take the reference as the basis for this topic, based on the Oxford Dictionary, it says that Gambling is "The activity or practice of playing at a game of chance for money or other stakes".

So it means that, all activities which allow us to earn money by playing like guessing scores or guessing anything is an activity with the opportunity to earn money, so it means that it's still gambling, even if it's without money (for this case is Superpicks.com) or capital at all or playing for free on that site.

I'm actually not sure about this. If you look further into the same Oxford Dictionary you can see that to gamble is "to risk money on a card game, horse race, etc." I think this is very important part here, "to risk money". In this thread we heave agreed on that by "money" we mean anything of value, but if you put nothing of value at risk, it's not gambling.
1626  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's on! 2024 US Presidential Election Biden+Harris Vs Trump Bitcoin betting.... on: July 16, 2023, 09:26:07 AM

With the people going wild as Trump walks with Dana in UFC 290, it just shows how people support Trump. He walks there like he owns the people cheering up. Even Joe Rogan I think has set up Trump in his podcast it may happen sooner. It's a tectonic shift toward Trump as polls swing 10+ points to Trump and voters choosing the populist.

Biden in Peril as No Democrat President Has Survived a Recession Since FDR
https://www.newsweek.com/recession-joe-biden-inflation-economy-obama-reagan-1728850

One analysis I have read is that if people are going to elect a new president with the potential to be reelected, this president may concentrate more on his re-election and do more for his image. But electing a president that has no other goals but his legacy will do his best to do good for the people.  There is just got to be Biden and Trump.

Well, the president of the United States isn't elected only by UFC 290 attendees, is he? Looking at the odds on different sports betting sites

I can only say that Biden is still bettors' favourite. Yes, for those who bet on Trump there's a good multiplier on their bet if Trump wins, but, as always with good multipliers, it is kinda unlikely.

I don't know why more people does not mention their 0 confirmation policy for bitcoin. I don't know any other site that is letting players bet in the same second they send tx before it even confirms once. Great thing with no actual risk attached (you can't withdraw winnings if your tx does not have 3 confirmations).

It is hands down the best feature for me, very easy to implement and yet only Sportsbet has it.

It's a great feature, and more gambling sites should implement it as soon as possible. By accepting a zero-conf transaction you show your customers that you trust them. And it's a nice feeling when the people you are dealing with trust you. You want to do business with them again and again.

As you have rightly said, they are covered against losing money. And that's good, because not all people can be trusted. But for honest people it's a good bonus: to not wait for a confirmation.
1628  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: July 15, 2023, 11:35:45 AM
They don't forget to care about us gamblers too. Remember their competitions like "Guess the bet number", "Guess the slot" and many of Roobet Art Contests.

Also, just after reading your post I decided to try my luck on Roo Bonanza and I hit this nice 16.55x multiplier from the 5th try!

Kudos for cooperating with Pragmatic Play, Roobet! They create amazing slots for you. Smiley
Nice luck mate , congrats to that big multiplier though hoping that you put bigger bet
so you can take much from that wins so you might be taking a food for the table  Grin Grin
the last time that I win 2 digits in Bonanza is last december in which I got to win x28 with 4 dollars bet .

Wow, man, that's something! Congrats, @kotajikikox!

I do win over $100 on slots soemtimes, but I need to hit a 500x+ multiplier for that, because I never bet more than $0.20 at once.

Roobet is an honest site and they will not make you lose your big bets on purpose, that's what I'm sure of, but still I want to say, be careful with those 4 dollar bets of yours. It's too risky to bet so much at once, in my opinion.

~

~

congratulations, how much did you put in each round? and how many rounds did you do until you managed to hit this multiplier? ~

I bet 20 cents and it took me 5 rounds to hit it. I know I was lucky, okay? Smiley
1629  Economy / Gambling / Re: Whats happening with Betnomi? on: July 15, 2023, 10:58:51 AM
when trying to access the site. And I deposited $250 on the platform just before that(I got sponsored for playing in poker tournaments recently). I hope everything will be alright soon, because I want to play poker on this amazing platform. Smiley
All you can do is hope for the best. I remember only two days before Chipmixer disappeared I mixed some coin and I was lucky to be able the get the coin back. If I was a day or two late then I could lose a larger amount of bitcoin. You never know what can happen with a centralized service anytime.
Yes you never know and sometimes they are honest and make their best to avoid to completely scam their (past) customers. For example Hotbit had a rather bad reputation but when they closed they gave several weeks to their users to withdrawal their remaining funds and they even extended the deadline at the end. So Betwrong could maybe get lucky and get back his funds.

I really hope that things will be better for Betnomi in the nearest future than a situation when they, as honest people, will just allow users to withdraw their funds.

I hope they will be back soon with even more nice features. As for their poker platform, we all know how great it is. Online poker players would miss it big time if it wasn't there any more.

Ivanka Trump is not in any way qualified to be running for President so thats just a good thing its not likely to occur.   Just electing people because of a family link seems quite wrong for modern day political control of a democratic country, they should have to at least be justifying that power with work done over decades and thats not true here.
~

As far as I know, bets on Ivanka Trump are not accepted anywhere, apart from sites that accept bets on George Clooney, Mark Zuckerberg, Kanye West ... I mean, it's totally totally for a laugh, right? But if you want to bet on them - Yes You Can! Right?

Fot example, some sites where you can bet on Bitcoin price accept bets on the range "More than $1,000,000". And I make such bets myself sometimes. It costs me only 10 sats

and I think the fun is worth it. Smiley
1632  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you cheat in gambling? on: July 15, 2023, 09:43:11 AM
Rather than cheating it is all about utilising the opportunity. It is really hard to win against the machines. There are people who are skilled enough to cheat the machines through learning. I don't have the patience to learn as well as try against the gambling machines that are completely focused on profit making. I will go with fixed bets, because in the past I've won with fixed bets information shared on our forum. I'm not sure how far the bet is real information or coincidence, but I was able to win a fixed bet.

You mean, betting on fixed matches? You mean, reading a "secret info" on some private forums and use it in your betting? You know, I personally don't it's cheating from the gambling sites' perspective. I think they can perfectly say "Be my guest. Utilize the info and make your bets." Firstly, because all that "secret info" is bullsh*t most of the time. And secondly because, unless you are betting such big amounts that can't be compensated by counter bets on the site, the site shouldn't care much. It will still get its house edge.
1633  Economy / Economics / Re: Look for what to invest, not what to eat on: July 15, 2023, 09:14:50 AM
~
Well if we look at the condition of the OP then the analogy is like don't think too much about tomorrow think about a bright future even though if we look closely when we don't think about tomorrow and don't have something to eat then let alone for a bright future, even for the day after tomorrow or one week ahead we don't know if it still exists or not because we are too obsessed with the future lol.
Indeed, in this case there are exceptions if we are still lived by parents but I think everyone here is very mature to just ask parents for food.
Investment is of course good I definitely support that but that doesn't mean we do everything in investment so that just to eat is difficult.

I think before reaching a certain level of income, the income that you don't need to think of how to cover your basic needs, you shouldn't think of investing at all. It shouldn't be like this, "Well, my salary is small, so, I can't afford investing a lot, but I can afford investing $50 per month, so, why not?" No. Those $50 will be taken from your "unnecessary spending", like spending on your entertainment, entertainment of your wife and kids, and you shouldn't just cut that and invest the money. Because cutting on your happiness can cause nose-diving at some point, and we don't need that.
1634  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can i make 100 $ daily from online casinos on: July 12, 2023, 10:04:33 AM
is there method
To get 100 $ per day
what do you expect from betting in the casino? casinos are not a great place to look for a steady income or a stable income. you can't win bets in the casino every day.
the only good method to earn $100 per day is to open your own business. analyze a good business opportunity then use your money to open the business.

It's surely a good advice for someone wants to make money. I don't know about opening your own business, but expecting to make money on a regular basis, especially as much money as $100 daily, in online casinos is stupid. What  you can expect from online casinos is relaxation from making money elsewhere, and occasional winnings, of course, but not constant.
1635  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you been threaten to stop gambling on: July 12, 2023, 09:38:47 AM
If you get to that stage , I think you're an addict to gambling and you already lost more than you can ever recover. Threatens on gambling are scary and I don't even want to imagine what is like to be like that and I don't want to find out. However, every action is a reaction of you previous choices so that should sum it up.  Undecided
Yes, of course it's clear if you're not an addict you won't be threatened to stop gambling whether it's from your family or lover especially your wife, I think everyone who threatens has seen you go beyond the limit of gambling or let's say they have seen you as a heavy addict so they threaten you to stop . because otherwise, of course there is no threat whatsoever.
~

This is not necessarily so. There's so much bad publicity about gambling that your relatives or close ones may be concerned about your betting even if you don't lose much to that, or you don't lose at all, or even win. And why is there that bad publicity? It's because there are addicted gamblers and their life is a tragedy. And people love reading tragedies, so, there's a demand, right? And journalists are happy to supply. They don't care about how objective it is as long as it attracts attention. Not all journalists are like that, but many, unfortunately.
1636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Chat GTP destroy poker on-line gambling??? on: July 12, 2023, 08:44:10 AM
~ Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it will never happen because it's impossible by design for a poker site to lose money regardless of however talented poker player or advanced AI is playing on the site. In poker tournaments the house takes its money, from 6% to 10% out of each ticket bought, before the game has even started. After that the house doesn't care about the level of players and who wins and who loses.
There is nothing to correct, I myself don't know very much about poker and all I said was mere speculation, and for all I care, you might be right after all..

And based on what you said, another question that comes to mind is, since casinos do not participate directly in the game, they just act as the game facilitators, in a situation where one or two players on the table are Ai bots, and the rest are humans, is it right to allow such a tournament? I mean for online pokers, first of all, is there even a way for the casino or other players to know if other online players are real humans of bots..?

I think if an AI bot would always take the same time before making a move like calling, folding, raising, things like that, it would be easy to spot one because humans always take different times for those moves. But the thing is that a bot can be programmed to purposely take different times. Then I think there's no way to tell.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it will never happen because it's impossible by design for a poker site to lose money regardless of however talented poker player or advanced AI is playing on the site. In poker tournaments the house takes its money, from 6% to 10% out of each ticket bought, before the game has even started. After that the house doesn't care about the level of players and who wins and who loses.
You are right, people utilizing AI models to beat others in poker won't actually affect the casino directly since they already get their fees from the games, but there can be one thing that might be disastrous for the casino, and it's the genuine players leaving their platforms only because there are AI models playing against them and they aren't being able to beat them, that will surely cost the casinos a fortune in the long run.

So to prevent that from happening, casinos will surely need to take action against those accounts which are utilizing AI models to gamble as it won't be difficult for them to detect that if they also make use of AI and ask every player some questions that only a human user can answer.

From what I know, for an AI to start beating human players, if they are good players, of course, it takes many hours, much more hours than the length of a single tournament, of studying their ways of playing. Without that an AI can't do much against good poker players, so, they won't be scared.

1639  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is money ruling the world? on: July 11, 2023, 12:00:25 PM
This is how it should be, but there are countries where national currencies are printed in unlimited amounts at some point. It happens when the government feels that it will be overthrown soon. Then they are printing out as much money as possible and people from the government and their relatives are buying property, gold and other precious metals and precious stones, and many of them become billionaires with that in the future. Regular people, of course, suffer heavily from that. The purchasing power of such currencies drops catastrophically and there are cases when can buy only several kilos of sugar with their monthly wage.

May be true because the people in government are living more satisfied life but not in all countries because their salaries are so higher that they can life comfortable life. If they are printing more money then they will use illegal way which is termed as money laundering and they cannot steal money of population because they have to give answer that how they earn money.

There are so many government's persons who spend certain time in prison because of money laundering and they have to return that amount if they earn with wrong way.

In those countries I was talking about they are not accountable to the law. Judges are either their friends/relatives or they just obey them, the authorities above them. It happens in very corrupt countries, and I hope they will seize to exist in the future, but today there are still too many of them, unfortunately.

Overall, for better or worse, money is the blood of the economy. I personally think it's for the better. Before money was invented the world was like hell compared to the current one.
1640  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots 101: Basics, Strategies, and Discussion (with poll) on: July 11, 2023, 11:08:23 AM
-snip-

Just stick with the smallest bets possible, mate, that's my advice. And it can be both, for fun and for money, sometimes. You can stake just $0.20 and win $200 if you are lucky. I know it's possible because it happened to me once

$0.2 is already too high, because when I lost ,I played Sweet Bonanza with a bet of IDR 1000 = $0.06 (current rate). I lost quickly because I didn't do normal spins. At that time, every time I played, I always used the buy bonus feature. But it really worse, from every free spins, always get below 50% of the bonus buy price. Since then, I, who initially made sweet bonanza as my favorite place to play, no longer play this game anymore and move to other provider such as spadegaming and PGS.

Well, you din't buy bonus feature for $0.06 , did you? As far as I know the price of the feature ranges from 50 to 200 times your stake. So, I assume with the base bet of IDR 1000 = $0.06 you paid $6 for using the buy bonus feature. That's a $6 bet, mate, and nothing else. And my advice is to bet $0.20 at once, and never more than $0.40. It is more entertaining to hope for some big luck than making your potential win bigger at the expense of bigger bets.
