I think the officer playing gambling could order other people to place bets while he remained in place watching if there was news of an ambush so he could immediately tell his friends in the casino to stay away for a while. The officials were very careful if they wanted to place a bet and would wait for the right time to come to the casino because they knew their fellow officers supervised all forms of gambling. That's why it's not easy to find where cockfighting is because only certain people are invited there.
This is the advantage of being a police because they know if there will be a raid that will happen and they can leave on that gambling place before their co-police came in the scene. It is still risky because what if someone reports them to their head? They can be fired out in an instant. That serves as a punishment because they are supposed to stop these kinds of activities, not to join them and encourage other people to do the same thing. This destroys their image as a police.

I really don't know the reason on why cock fighting is illegal while other gambling games are still illegal. I think this is because there's an animal that is involved or harmed here.

Well, surely they knew the risks and consequence if they will get caught gambling illegally with other gamblers but even though they knew that, they still chose indulge on such things because of the entertainment it an bring. One reason for that is at the end of the day, they are still a private citizen if they aren't wearing their uniforms who does gambling on one end.

To correct you on that last phrase. Cockfight is not entirely illegal, there are cockpits designated for people who wanted to gamble. What's illegal is all sorts of gambling that are not sanctioned by the government or who haven't got any permits to hold any gambling event and that includes cockfighting.
When you are off-duty then you do really have the rights as an ordinary citizen which means you could really make out involvement on things just like a normal citizen would tend to engage out but they aren't that
dumb on engaging on something that is illegal, once they're caught then say goodbye into their jobs. Its true that there would really be that legal places on where these cockfighting would be held upon.
But just as expected that there would be places that wont really be on scope of government and this is where illegal arenas been mold and gamblers or bettors will really be get arrested
once there would really be a raid.

Yes, but we cannot deny that some of these uniformed personnel are also engaging such events even though they knew it's illegal. Why? It's because they have that privilege to know because I'm sure they will hear such news if there will be a raid on that day so that he can avoid as the ones who will conduct the raid are also their colleagues.
1622  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: December 14, 2022, 04:01:53 PM
Butler almost managed to last all 12 rounds, it deserves respect. But  in the 11th round, Inouye managed to knock out Butler and referee stopped the fight. In general, the fight is not bad, in the second half of the fight Butler managed to level the fight a little, but still Inoue's advantage was expectedly very significant. Congratulations to Inouye with the absolute championship, now all 4 belts belong to him!
Even if there’s no knock out, its clear that Inoue dominates most of the round and maybe in Round 11, Butler can’t hold it anymore and fall in the ground to lose the fight. Inoue proves to be more dominant here and having that 4 belt on different division is quiet a great achievement, many boxer will surely aim for this guy and its hard to say who will be the one to defeat Inoue, congrats as well to those who placed their bets and make the profit.

I don't think Butler even won a single round and to think that Butler is holding the other belt, things could have been different if he is facing Casimero, Butler did not come to fight he come to survive the power of Inoue but he failed to last the 12 rounds, I hope in his next campaign in the upper division he will face a real challenger like Casimero because I read that Casimero is also moving in that division and hopefully Navarette a very dominant featherweight.

If Butler's match-up against Casimero pushed through, for sure the situation would've been a lot better rather than watching a fight for survival. But my take is Casimero would still leave the division unfinished because it was really evident that his weight won't sit at 118 lbs., so he will still vacate the belt eventually.

Anyway, Casimero already made his move and have just got his first fight at 122 lbs. but he met an unprofessional boxer who is not man enough to stand the fact that he will be defeated. Now, it was rumored that Inoue will also climb the next weight class and will be looking forward in facing the champions, hopefully that will happen, and maybe Inoue and Casimero's path will cross this time.

What is happening with the Phoenix Suns? they already lose 5 straight... This team is not legit, they'll never win a championship because of their inconsistency. Rockets are enjoying beating CP3, that's coming from his old team.  Smiley

Also, another great performer was the Utah Jazz as Markkanen's return sparked a big win.

Not really expecting a good game from them today, I already know that Chris Paul alone cannot bring the team to a win without Devin Booker onboard. Nobody on the team is stepping up and give good contributions like Devin Booker, another team with superstars that is struggling to win.

Gotta hand all the credits to the Houston Rockets for defeating two heavy teams on the league successively. Jalen Green put up a good show again as he led his team to the win against the Phoenix Suns today.

1625  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why still keep the money on phone? on: December 13, 2022, 07:11:24 PM
Android is one the biggest operating system used by people in the world. Many hacker and cheater try a million way to hack that OS from user to steal his money, many hacker have succeeded and many user lost his money in the wallet.

if vulnerable why people still keep his bitcoin on wallet phone?, are they rich? Why they give his bitcoin to the hacker?

You make it seem like the people really wanted to give their bitcoin or coins to the hacker, it's not like that they handed it freely.

Actually, that's the thing. People are already accustomed to hold some of their coins on some applications/wallets and there's a reason for that. Some are spending and using it on a weekly/daily basis and it's not that they are really hodling it by using a prone-to-hack storage. By now, people already know what to do about their coins and only hold big chunks of coins in a cold storage where it is really safe.
1626  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Running a casino during crypto crash on: December 12, 2022, 08:49:17 PM
Check the casino's tabs and pages and see if they're showing how much they've got in their bankroll. Some casinos and dice sites do this and if you're not satisfied with the current one that doesn't show it to you then leave them. They don't have the obligation to show how much they've got especially the reputable ones because we know how huge they are. I think it's not a matter to me as long as I know where I am gambling and I have an idea about the track record of the casino. Btw, this topic should be on Gambling Discussion.
I believe their bankroll amount should be more privatized, instead of letting it show to the public. And if we are seeing that in public, I don’t see it as reliable either as it could be somewhat an estimation. And if the casinos are reputable enough, then there’s no reason to prove it more to the public. These casinos will always be standing strong as long as gamblers will continue to trust them and put their money on these casinos.
1627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gambling today and lesson i learnt (lost 2000 usd today) on: December 12, 2022, 07:58:12 PM
The damage is still manageable. And you are never too late to finally stop gambling. It may be a lot of money, but it's good to face reality. A good first step is the realization that you have a gambling problem, only when you realize that you can tackle the problem at the core. And hope that you don't get a relapse, otherwise you will end up in a negative spiral that you can hardly get out of. The time you have been addicted to gambling is approximately the time it takes you to get out of it. And that is a very difficult task sometimes.
I believe the hardest problem a gambler need to face is to admit to himself that he is already falling into gambling addiction. Even if we say the damages are still in controlled, but we are just seeing it at the present time, we don’t know yet if in the future we can still manage our losses and damages. So quit now and thank yourself later. Gambling is making us poor unconsciously, and we will only realize that if we are already in a position of having debts that made us too hard to get out from it.
1628  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would be an ideal KYC solution? on: December 12, 2022, 06:55:01 PM
The side of the casino:
One more, they will always say that they must ensure that their users are not from certain restricted countries to make them safe. However, this may not be the main reason.

If comparing the pros and cons of doing KYC and not, it will never end, moreover if we are talking about the centralized casino. although they always say that they are high in privacy, when they are asking for KYC this means that they are not dealing with privacy. However, we don't know if they are really trusted enough or not in keeping safe our data. I really hate sending photos of my identity and my face to the KYC identification because this is too private. But sometimes, we don't have the choice to pick the best casino to have. Once more, they will not give us the solution that the term and condition may make the suers afraid to continue.
I don’t believe that centralized casinos have high privacy because if they do, they don’t have to disclose our private information into the government that regulated them. But it’s not the case since centralized casinos have to follow the terms and conditions given by the government, otherwise they will subject for investigation. So my point is, let’s just accept the reality that if you gamble in reputable centralized casinos, be ready to take the risk since KYC is soon to become compulsory. And with that, privacy is no longer given to us as these casinos have taken our own privacy.
1629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Types Of Online Casinos To Avoid.. on: December 11, 2022, 09:53:39 PM
It's pretty obvious that we have alot of casinos without online presence here on BTT, but does that make peeps reject an offer to bet on their platform? The answer is NO!
People don't really care about it.. afterall, organizing a campaign on the forum is just an AFTERTHOUGHT and the whole project needs funds ; so an excuse (to anyone who might Wanna hear) would be that it incures extra expenditures -- after spending alot already on a customer care Bot? Or hiring a representative to attain to any complaints? That'll be too much. Most gamblers don't even consider that as a preference anyways.

Sandra 🧑
Well, I believe that won’t be necessary at all especially if we are already in a trusted and reputable casino, but for those who have just come out in the market and are still attracting new players, a good online thread will help them gain interested players since they can bargain there their bonuses and promotions and anyone that will be interested will be given chances to inquire first of the requirements to avail those games.
1630  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you experienced this kind of gambling on: December 11, 2022, 09:32:09 PM
I have experienced some guys who are chronic gamblers making unimaginable predictions from football player's jersey numbers, basket ball, hockey, rugby etc jersey's numbers. I have experienced this and their prediction is only based on these numbers shown on TV sports analysis consistently and regularly.
These chronic gamblers feel that when these jersey numbers keep flashing on your TV stations maybe during the sports news, analysing the jersey numbers on different clubs and display of the jersey numbers may be a sign that such number will appear as draw for the week and they do their permutations on that.

This is for example what I'm saying with the jersey numbers not about the person but numbers precisely.

The pictures are different and analysed differently for the week.
Like 7,19
Another week 10,7,17
Another week 10,7,17,10 (probably 10 confirmation of banker  Grin for this week)
Another week 8,7,8,10 (probably 8 confirmation of banker for this week)
Another week 16,15
Another week 10

So this particular guy in Nigeria around 5 years ago followed some Jersey numbers he has been monitoring for the week and according to him 3 of the numbers where consistently and regularly appearing on different TV stations for the week and he concluded some numbers and went to stake them 3/3 in the weekend draws and behold! When the matches were played all turned out draws and this guy cashed out from different pool shops where he did the stakings. It was a big winning story in the area alongside few guys he gave the numbers to try their luck.

My question is, have you experienced this kind of gambling with Jersey numbers ?

Note: The pictures are just to illustrate my point with the jersey not particular about who was wearing it and I didn't need to link any source because any jersey number will do or can be imagined, at most written with bare hands.
I have no experience with Jersey numbers but I used to list down numbers that I often see in important events like in television or even read in the news. After that, I analyze which set of numbers are more appealing to me and bet them in gambling lottery. Sometimes, I even asked from those lottery experts in town to spare some lucky numbers hoping to win one of these days. But until now, I haven’t won significant amount in gambling but I keep on losing instead.
1631  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Ryan Garcia vs Mercito Gesta (January) on: December 10, 2022, 07:32:09 PM

Yes, it's been in the news lately that Ryan Garcia will have its own tune-up fight before a showdown with Tank Davis.

His opponent is a Filipino slugger named Mercito Gesta which is for me a very lively opponent and dangerous as well but i also do think that a very good tune-up fight for him.

Although Gesta is a very good fighter with a good background I consider this a cherry-picked fight for Garcia because Gesta is not a promising boxer, already old and checking his fights on Youtube I saw some weaknesses in his style he is flatfooted and has lax his defense especially when attacking, these loopholes are the things that's Ryan's going to explore when they meet, I'll pick Ryan to win this fight because obviously, this is a cherry-picked.

Mercito Gesta is a decent fighter but I'm afraid that he's role now is to give the rising stars more experience and will be a stepping stone for their success, and like Ryan Garcia, Gesta will pave a way to create and give Garcia a good experience before he will fight a much more heavy boxer named Gervonta Davis. Although, Gesta is also that kind of boxer who will pull the ones who aren't good enough to pass his challenge. It will be a good fight of course but Ryan Garcia needed to pass this challenge first even if this is just a cherry-picked fight.
1632  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 10, 2022, 06:56:34 PM
I’m watching the Lakers vs 76ers game and man is this De’Anthony Melton kid lighting up the scoreboard. He is 8/11 from 3 point range on his way to 30 points.  I don’t think the Sixers would’ve won this game without him. A great performance for a relatively unknown player against multiple hall of famers. He’s going to be one happy guy when he gets home tonight. I’m happy for him, but would have preferred a Lakers win as they’ve been playing great lately.

Indeed! It is one of his best nights against the heavy names on the league of which I bet he will boast it to his closest friends and family because it's not every time that Melton can have that good points. He got the most points contributed next to Joel Embiid, and if not because of his successive 3-point shots, the 76ers will really have a hard time battling against the Lakers. A good close game that at least needed an overtime to know who's the winner.
1633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: December 10, 2022, 06:30:54 PM
Trashtalks are like a natural reaction for a fighter who acts tough but are really afraid of their opponent, as they are trying to get into their opponents head, hoping he'd get distracted and lost his concentration.

Not true at some point. It depends on who the boxer is involved.

We should know and be able to generalize boxers who just trash talk without a sense.

I did a quick search on Google search but found nothing related to trash talk on this fight. Whether from Butler or Inoue, I can't see news or article that they did some trash talk. What I see is the interview of Ring TV on Butler and I don't even consider that as trash talk.

Maybe I miss that trash talk? Can anyone lead me to a link about that?

Yes, I certainly won't agree that boxers will resort on trash talk if they already know the likely of the fight or if they will be have a fight that is much more stronger and agile than he is. Boxers already know that there's always that person who will be above them but they aren't discouraged by that fact and still chose to fight to know what will be the outcome. As for Butler, he likely know what will be the result but the fact that he is silent all this time means that he is indeed preparing for this upcoming fight.
1634  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Ryan Garcia vs Mercito Gesta (January) on: December 09, 2022, 08:01:02 PM
Ryan Garcia is professional boxer of America,he become a sixth rank in less weight category. While the Gesta had title winner during 2012 and 2018 in light weights. Gesta was the experienced boxer with old title and Garcia is with 24 years and younger with huge spirit to make his win the title in January. As we know it’s hard to Garcia to win the experienced fighter over 11 years.

I'm afraid to say that there's no title in this fight mate, both Ryan Garcia and Mercito Gesta currently have no titles to put on the line. Even Gesta haven't had a single regular title on his possession in his whole career,  I know that he got skills but with against Ryan Garcia who is much more younger than him and faster? We all know how would this likely end. Moreover, this is just a tune-up fight so I don't really expect an upset especially in this case.
1635  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Currency should be Integrated into School Curriculum on: December 09, 2022, 06:11:22 PM
Perhaps, countries that ban cryptocurrencies just want to promote their own currency, or they fear that cryptocurrencies can lead to a lot of financial crimes.

That's one way to put things why they ban cryptocurrencies because for them, digital currencies are still an unexplored water for them and people with resources can take advantage of it (especially for crimes to launder money) while the government are still studying about it. Moreover, the governments can't control this currency because it's decentralized.

Quote
Incorporating cryptocurrencies into the school curriculum, in my opinion, is not good. This is because it can cause students' minds to only focus on cryptocurrency and not focus on other education.

I agree, there's a lot more important stuffs that a student should learn rather than adding cryptocurrency to their curriculum. I know it does have an advantage if we decide to add it, but that advantage also have its own disadvantages. Apart from that, students can still learn it if they're seeking financial courses but not on a bigger scale.
1636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: December 09, 2022, 05:46:38 PM
Based on his status now, he can already start promoting himself, his proceeds will go to him 100%, with a great marketing team, I'm sure he can always be profitable, most especially if he will continue winning as that would make him better and better in the eyes of the fans. Lots of boxers already left their promoter when they become popular, so this is not surprising anymore.

I was confirmed that Tank Davis had left the Maywether Promotion.  According to this article that was published last May 24, 2022, GERVONTA 'TANK' DAVIS CONFIRMS MAYWEATHER PROMOTIONS EXIT: 'IT'S TIME'.  And this fight against Ryan Garcia Eddie Hearn offered a $10m to be Davis promoter but the action of Davis of posting the offer online and deleting it strained the relation between them (Davis and Hearn).  So right now it is true that Davis will earn 100% of the proceeds if he start promoting himself.

Yes, Gervonta Davis severed his ties with Mayweather couple weeks before his fight with Rolly Romero announced. I have this theory and I've read an article about this too somehow confirming that Mayweather sent the before undefeated Rolly Romero to defeat Davis because Mayweather can't accept that after all he did for Davis, he will left him now that he's already a star. But that plan bounced back to them because Tank sent back Romero to his stable right after defeating him in mere 6 rounds by a TKO.

Mayweather's actions towards Bob Arum way back 2006 bounced back at him because if you guys remember, Mayweather left Bob Arum after the latter brought him to the top and accused him of underpaying him. After Mayweather left Top Rank, he founded his own promotional company in the same year.
1637  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: December 09, 2022, 05:18:18 PM
If the boxing body ordered but then the fighters didn't follow, he will be either stripped of the belt or have to pay them huge some of money, which I don't think Spence is willing to do. And as we have argued, they are in the same stable mate, so this fight is easy to be made. Just goes down on the money, but for sure Spence is going to be the A-side here, maybe 60-40 or 60-35, nevertheless it's all in house money.

Yes, I agree. Spence won't do something stupid and cancel the fight because of his own reason. In fact, he should be able to handle Keith Thurman.

About the purse split, it makes sense to think that Spence will surely have the biggest slice of the pie for obvious reasons.

Spence won't be called a "PPV King" for nothing that's why my guess will be, 60-35 in favor of Spence.

Yes, Spence will get the biggest part of the purse here, he is the champion the most active, and one of the biggest attraction in boxing and in this weight class. Thurman will have to play his part to accept the lesser money. But still a win win situation for him if he beat Spence and maybe him and Crawford can fight next.

Was just watching the Pacquiao vs Thurman fight and the hype behind it.

Lol, Thurman really bring the best out of Manny Pacquiao with all his trash talking and when he was knock down, that sums up what the fight will end up when you trash talk one of the biggest punchers. Anyhow, let's see how they will going to promote it, for sure there will be a lot of trash talking as well.

I'm waiting for him to bring something to hype the media and bring intensity and that kind of inspration for Spence when they are both inside the ring, I don't think Thurman will missed this kind of exposure, knowing that he really wanted to challenge the defending champion, if he manage to upset Spence here, he will gain a huge hype to his career and for sure more money fight to expect.

We don't know if what will be the outcome the conclusion will be dictated after the fight.
I'm seeing Spence claiming that he is still the king of welterweight and the recent set of fighters are just wannabes, including Spence and Crawford to some extend. He can claim that he is still the best although he has lost to Manny Pacquiao years ago.

And I think fans are going to watch this fight, could be one of the most anticipated fight in welterweight as Thurman is also a very loud trash talker and we can see some disrespect brewing in this fight.

I don't know but I think Spence should start boasting about he is the king if he already managed to unite all four belts in welterweight division, still too premature for him to call himself a king because Crawford is still there and the top contenders like Ortiz Jr. and Boots Ennis are also decent especially Ennis.

But for Thurman, I know he got skills but this upcoming fight with Spence is quite different. Let's see who's who because I know both of them wouldn't give each other an advantage to take. I expect a good toe-to-toe fight as both boxers like that.
1638  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 09, 2022, 04:56:31 PM
Close game between the Heat and the Clippers. Bam playing really well with 29 points already with half a quarter left to go. PG13 trying his best to keep the Clippers in the game. Ideally I would have expected Clippers to win but the Heat playing at home seems to have taken the edge.
PG13 is leading the LA Clippers but the Heat are still ahead. Bam is having a great night, he is also leading the Heat in this game. With few minutes left, it's not yet certain who will win as we've witnessed a game yesterday when the Jazz steal a win in a game that suppose to be a win by the Warriors.

The game is over, Clippers were not able to win on the road despite their big effort. Heat defeated them by 5 points only, so they were not able to cover the spread. The final score is 110-115, Bam with 31 points while Butler also has 26 points.

It’s hard for the Clippers to beat good teams with Kawhi not playing. Tonight John Wall had a bit of a tough night, leaving a lot for Paul George to carry. The Clippers have a lot invested into players that aren’t available at their best very often. That makes it tough to win consistently. Hopefully Wall and Leonard can get healthy for the playoffs and are able to contribute more frequently.

That's the thing when you have veteran players, it's expected that they will be reliable but that's only during their best nights which is not that frequently happening to the team. Nonetheless, they still have a couple of months to improve their current roster and maybe that time, the Clippers big three will carry the team along the way. Hopefully there wouldn't be no injuries as well as we already know what will happen to them.
1639  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: December 08, 2022, 06:51:40 PM

For now, let's wait for the result of this match that's already predictable by 99.9%.
We already know who might win in their upcoming fight but let's see if Butler prepared a hidden strategy that can beat the monster.

At least give Butler 1% chance of winning as a sign of respect, saying 99.9% chance for Inoue, that only gives Butler 0.01% chance. I know upset happens in boxing, but just like guys, I don't see it happening because Inoue are just too good for Butler.

So you are saying that I'm disrespecting Butler? Wake up mate, we are just stating facts here.

Not because I'm not giving any chance for Butler to win, it does mean that I'm not respecting him.

Ok, I will give Butler a 1% chance to win so that you will see me respecting him. Cheesy
@1.02 Inoue vs @13.00 Butler.
I think that tells it. Even bookies think it will be a miracle if Butler wins this match. No disrespect for Butler here. Another sad fact is they are just giving away @1.06 if Inoue knocks him down.  Cheesy That's just a 0.04 difference.
It's not even profitable for a low-end gambler like me.
Maybe if I could just guess what round it will end then I can make some money on this match. No friends are also willing to take Butler's side so it leaves us the only choice of enjoying the fight.

Such odd is not worthy to risk your money unless you really have a huge amount to bet with Inoue's ML and if he will KO butler, nothing for a small-time gambler but to enjoy watching.

Though I'm sure there are bettors who will try some luck and bet with what round Butler
will be KO and who knows, maybe luck will permit them. Then they will surely enjoy the
profits are surely better than the amount with the ML.

Indeed mate! Apart from risky, given that kind of odds, it's also not that worth it as well because the profits in-exchange are not that much either.

Let's just wait for the other betting option, who knows, we might be given some nice odds for us small time gambler.

And if not, then let's just enjoy the fight and cheer on Naoya Inoue on becoming the 1st boxer in the bantamweight division to unite all the belts on this four-belt era.

Ryan Garcia badly needs a very good tune fight because if you run a comparison between who he fought against Tank's opponents he will badly fail in comparison he needed a good but fading fighter who will give Garcia a quality opponent and Gesta is the right choice, but a choice that could backfire because Gesta is a guy that will not run and like to slug it out and has a solid chin he just won a tough fight against Jojo Diaz Jr seven months ago and you can tell on this video that Gesta is a big threat.

Yes, I've looked up on Gesta's recent fights and some of his highlights because I don't know him at all as he is also not that known. It gets me the idea why Oscar Dela Hoya and Ryan Garcia chose him, truly a good tune-up fight for Garcia to get him in good shape and be more ready when he will be facing Davis in the same ring, although Garcia should be vigilant because this Gesta is not the kind of boxer who you can't really underestimate because he is the kind who will take advantage whenever Garcia shows some weakness. This is quite exciting, IMO!
