1641  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What do you guys think of scrypt.cc on: March 11, 2014, 02:00:09 AM
I like it a lot actually.  So far so good.
I am up to 140 kh/s.

So far so good.
I also have some a cex as well though.  It never hurts to diversify.
1642  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Antminer U1 x3 and possibly hub. on: March 11, 2014, 01:26:06 AM
Not a problem thanks for letting us know.

I got an offer of .15BTC shipped tomorrow for the miners. I believe this is the highest, or very close to the highest offer I will be given; so the USB miners are sold unless the buyer falls through. The hub is still for sale at the moment, I do have 2 pms expressing interest in it.

Thanks it most likely is that.

I am running at 1700 kh/s and get a ton of stales should I change something or is that normal?

Your intensity is probably too high.

LTC -> BTC auto exchange is now part of automatic conversion (did a manual script execution about 10 minutes ago before putting it into the auto script).  It uses BTC-e instead of Cryptsy, since BTC-e is consistently a better price with significantly more market depth to avoid slippage.

Well, I guess I gotta ask.... now that we can auto exchange LTC to BTC, should we?  Right now I'm converting all the other coins to BTC, except LTC (they're just piling up).  Is there anyway to know if I should keep the TLC or exchange them for BTC?

You're asking the wrong guy on that one.  I personally recommend dumping altcoins as fast as you can, LTC included.  But that's because I don't believe any of them deserve any valuation at all.
1645  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Considering buying a bitcoin miner on: March 10, 2014, 08:14:24 PM
Keep in mind too that the Ant's are shipping fast.  You can have one in a couple days and it seems there are always delays with KNC.

I've been looking at an ant miner and a Jupiter KNCMiner .  Any opinions?

I am leaning towards the Jupiter KNCminer, they are asking $3400.00 and claim 680GH/s, it seems like a good buy to me.
1646  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Antminer U1 x3 and possibly hub. on: March 10, 2014, 08:03:58 PM
OK

HI,
I will go .12 for the 3 Ants shipped.
Also do you do escrow or half up front and half upon receipt?
Thanks

Sure, escrow is fine. If no one else offers more I will take this.
1647  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [5500 TH] BTC Guild - Pays TxFees+Orphan+NMC, Stratum, Private Servers on: March 10, 2014, 06:24:01 PM
Variance makes us happy at times and others sad.
Still could be worse.

Yeah, the last 2 and a half days have been pretty abysmal with luck.  Our 1 week is still above 100% for now, though the current open shifts make me think we might finally see 1D+3D+1W+2W all under 100% for the first time since that luck chart was added.  Then again:  That was going to happen eventually.  You can't stay 1-3% above expectation forever.

0.037 shipped is the highest I would be willing to go because of the new u2 group buy.

Good luck with your sale though Smiley

I may take you up on that if no one else offers within the next 12 hours.
1649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MemoryCoin | CPU Coin | Paid Dev Team | Limited Supply [MMC] on: March 10, 2014, 06:02:17 PM
It's too bad.
It is a good coin.  I have an article almost done as well that highlights MMC and a couple other CPU mined coins and how it is still a viable platform for mining.
I will have to get it out sooner if I can to help boost it's visibility again.

HI FaSan,
Can I ask why it is closing?

Hi,
The MMC OnlineWallet (www.mmc-wallet.com) will close on 15 March. Please move all your coins before this date.

FaSan

'Cause MMC is sinking, and i must admit i like this coin Sad
1650  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MultiMiner Remoting & MobileMiner: Your rigs. Your coins. Your pools. Your way. on: March 10, 2014, 05:47:51 PM
Great work Nate.
I am going to DL it this evening.
Thanks again.

I can now confirm support for both 1-chip and 5-chip GridSeed Scrypt ASICs in MultiMiner (and BFGMiner):

The current build of MultiMiner should work just fine. Windows users can download a preview release of BFGMiner with support for both 1-chip and 5-chip devices here:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/i8cai8x79b79gzo/bfgminer_gridseed_pr2.7z

The 1-chip devices require FTDI drivers available here:

http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm

The 5-chip devices require a custom INF file available here (GridSeed folder):

https://www.dropbox.com/s/w06b7nj1f07lv29/Windows_ASIC_CDC_Drivers.zip

This (and more) will be available in BFGMiner 4.0 but if you'd like to start testing now and leave feedback that would be greatly appreciated!

Edit: For non-Windows users (or interested folks) the source code for this branch is available here: https://github.com/nwoolls/bfgminer/tree/feature/gridseed-dualminer-support

1652  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon ASIC users thread on: March 10, 2014, 05:36:16 PM
It would be a happy coincidence though as mine dropped a bunch as well.
It runs very fast and stable as well.  I have been peaking on BTCGuild with it at 86 gh/s at 350 with sustained at 83 gh/s.
The new firmware rocks.

Any difference you see in HW% with the latest firmware is almost certainly sheer coincidence.

1654  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Canadian Miner Hosting Solution (beta stage - gathering interest) on: March 10, 2014, 05:29:44 PM
That was my thought as well.  Sell now and get an Ant S1 saves power while boosting output at a reasonable price.
Thanks again.

I think the buyers on ebay just don't know how to value miners. Some would use not so kind words to describe them, but I shall refrain. But I think you are also right about the convenience part, and to that I would add that the buyer protection offered by paypal is an important factor as well. So although they may be paying more for the hardware there is less of a risk involved as compared to buying the gear from some random dude on the forum. Pros and Cons as with anything.

I agree, the Avalon miners are true heavy beasts of mining burden. Since you have a batch 2 or 3 avalon with first gen chips I think you are making a good decision to sell it. You can cut power consumption in half and double the hashing power by replacing your avalon with an Antminer.

I have been selling stuff on there for a while but not anything expensive.  My wife on the other hand has a small store on there and she has had great luck.
This one has me nervous as if I get scammed I lose not only the money but the BTC it generates.
Nerve racking.
You are right too people there pay alot more for stuff.  Here is would only sell for maybe tops $300 on there it will be $600 to $700.  One went just a couple weeks ago for $1000.
I guess on there it is about convenience too.

Crazy thing is that it is reporting 86 gh/s on BTCGuild right now for the last 6 hrs.  It is a beast for sure that just runs and runs.

Thanks for the luck I need it.

I just setup and account.  I have been so happy with BTCGuild I had to give this a try.  I will point some mining power at it tomorrow when I get up.
Have a great night everyone and thanks for setting up this Pool.  Grin

An Ant Miner S1 is the best bang for your money right now.  They are shipping and easy to use and setup.
Depending on where you are located there are several group buys that can help you on here.
Good luck and happy mining.

Yeah, I avoid ebay for selling now. The only positive thing about ebay is that it seems buyers are willing to pay more, but of course there are downside risks - like fraud or refund.

Good luck with the sale!

Thanks.
I have been keeping a close eye on the sales.
In fact today I listed my Avalon that is running at 83 gh/s on ebay to try and get the money for an S1.
I hate that I have to list it so high there but the dam ebay fees are crazy.
Hopefully someone gets it though.

I am thinking of it.  I have to save up for it though.
I also sent you a PM.   Smiley

When are you looking at taking orders?
The rates are not bad considering the exchange rate as well.

I could likely start taking orders in a week and a half. If I know there is definite interest I can do my best to speed up the process. You looking to host just antminers?

Got your PM and replied.

At the moment a brand new Antminer is 1.11 BTC, but they may lower their prices in the coming weeks. You could perhaps find a good deal on a second-hand antminers either here on the forum or ebay and other classifieds sites.

Looks like a full moon with a large crack in it.
Still hope it can recover.

Hey op, looks like something has to change with moon.  I just saw this on Cryptsy:

Quote
The MOON/BTC Market will be shutting down due to the low price - You may continue to use MOON/LTC market

Only buy left is for 0.00000001 a piece.

M

Yup.

Looks like it is time to get rid of MoonCoin for good.

It has bit the dust.
