I am with you there.  That is why I buy my cables and adapters from you.  No shocks and worth the money due to the quality.
If I had the money I would invest in a US based company for you and for mstrongbow.  That would be a great combo.

I just have to say they are cheap at $1.50 each at quantity but damn are they ugly.

I could just as easily put an LED on mine and it would be so much prettier, lol.  I wish I had my own Chinese factory workers to make stuff so I wouldn't have to pay retail for everything. Sad

You can get some nice overclocking  They did change up the controller a bit it seems so you have to be careful in tweaking.  I am still seeing how far I can push it with existing software.  So far I have it up to 25 mh/s stable with 2% errors.  I am working on trying to get it up to 28 mh/s with less than the 12% errors I get.

Yes I have a Thunder X6.
It works well and I get the freq up to 280 with great results.
242 is the sweet spot for some others.
http://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/news/review-zeusminer-thunder-x6-nx-gen-scrypt-asic-miner/2014/07/28

Anyone get any of the under clocked X6 hardware yet? Want to see how easy it is to over clock these to X3 ranges...im assuming all they have done is cram in more chips and just undervolted.

Yeah, I think the real advantage will come from overvolting it because it's the same hardware. What they did was just pack more chips on the board and undervolt them to achieve less wattage. So if you restore the original voltage or even overvolt it you should get really good MH.

That is good news.  Home is definitely one of the states of mind I love the most.
Enjoy.  Unpacking can be fun too as you get to put things the way you want.

Unpacking never ends, it is not years but a lifetime.  LOL
I hope your move went well.
I know my last one to where I live now was utter hell but now that I am here I actually feel like I am home.  I have not felt like I had a home even when I owned a couple they were just places.
 Smiley

Going well so far.  I can definitely sympathize with your last statement though.  This is my 4th move on my own (and about 12 other moves while I was growing up).  Feeling significantly more at home even with a mostly empty (other than boxes) house than I have in quite some time.

645  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 01, 2014, 07:09:52 AM
Very correct there.
It is a good thing to have a sub panel or separate service entrance if you are going to run a large amount of miners.
That way the lights don't go out when you open the fridge door.  LOL

Depending on where your mining setup is located you may need to run a sub-panel to that location which could house 20 Amp circuits running from the main electrical panel, but I would hire a qualified electrician to have the job done correctly.
646  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 01, 2014, 06:30:12 AM
More newer homes in the US now have 20 amp and they can be put in easily if you do not have it.
Make sure that the wiring is 12g or 10 g to be safe.
I added 200 amp for my mining setups in two phases.  10x 20 amp breakers.
It works well for the SP10 and should work fine for the SP30 if using two separate circuits.

The electrical code in North America limits a continuous load on a 15A/120V circuit to 80%, or 12A. That's 1440W. Using 2 of these circuits gives you 2880W.

Can the SP30 be configured to run within this limitation? And, if so, how? And what will the resulting hashrate be? The original spec was 2400W; now it is 3kW ... very relevant to those with 15A/120V circuits.
Our recommendation for the 110V users is to host. There are very good options available: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=622998.0
If hosting were free, it would be a reasonable option. But it isn't free. And it isn't the product that was originally ordered. I have access to plenty of 110V power, but not 220V. 220V was never a requirement for the SP30 until today.

Since it is no longer feasible to run this product in a 110V environment, do you not think it reasonable that Spondoolies offer a full refund option for those affected by this new limitation?

You could run them in a 120V environment if you had access to 2x 20 Amp circuits instead of the 15 Amp ones. This may be something you could have an electrician put in if you really wanted to, but I feel where you're coming from, that you expected 1 thing and now have to go out of your way to make it work in your own environment at a possible extra expense.
647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [WAC] Official WorldAidCoin Thread on: August 01, 2014, 06:25:22 AM
If we keep number one they usually have the market setup by tuesday.
Then everyone can buy WAC at usecryptos.com.
It is exciting.  The timing is great because in a couple weeks now WAC will help its first group.
Finishing setting up now and details will be on WAC website soon.

First exchange on saturday! Things are about to take off!

Lol, all I said was Psa ma an intersting point.

The frakenstein thing was just fun... light hearted humor.

If you wana get witch hunt from that, more power to ya ;-)

I was joking as well.  It was a quick post written before I unplugged my workstation.  Almost done moving into the new house...well at least getting everything physically located in it.  The unpacking process is probably going to last a few years.
649  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN-GAUGING INTEREST] AntMiner Jumper Switch GB on: August 01, 2014, 06:03:11 AM
They do not look safe.
Cablez makes them that won't zap you if you brush up against them.
Still it is much better than a paperclip.
What do they break down into per unit?
Sorry I see now.
650  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [11000 TH] BTC Guild - Pays TxFees+NMC, Stratum, VarDiff, Private Servers on: August 01, 2014, 04:49:47 AM
Not a problem.
I reviewed it as well and was in contact with the Bit-Tech people then they disappeared.  Not a good thing and it is going in my comparison article I am working on for late august.
It runs great just that odd swing.  I have not had a problem and I have a custom image not released to the public.  I am sure if I mess with the freq settings I could get a better poolside hash rate.  It works best on BTCG with the diff set to 1024 I set it lower but the swings were more it would dip to 800.

It is a Bit-Tech miner it goes between 850 and 950 depending on temp.  Right now it is a bit warmer.
I can PM you.

Why is your dragon hashing so low ?

And can you PM me individual prices with USA shipping ?

Ty.
Sounds good and ty, I only ask about the dragon though because the three I have are all 990 Gh - 1.05 Th each.

I am bummed out I lost 1.4 th/s today.  I was at 4.2 to 4.3
I had to sell my SP10 so I could pay my medical bills.  The rest are for sale too.
This is all I have left for SHA-256/Bitcoin ASICS.

Variance is a bitch that is for sure.  I would have loved a good run before I sent it off today but it is ok.  Overall BTCG is the best pool.

Eleuthria I love the stats you can pull.  I learn a ton when you post with info and explanations like this.
It is good to see new miners joining as well.  Very cool.

654  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-07-27] Review: Antminer S3 450 gh/s Bitcoin ASIC Miner By Bitmain on: July 31, 2014, 10:30:26 PM
Your right the ASIC speeds and deployments have spread so fast and so high it is crazy.
Plus with the amounts of people mining now it cuts it even further.

http://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/news/review-antminer-s3-450-ghs-bitcoin-asic-miner-bitmain/2014/07/25

The Bitmain Antminer S3 Bitcoin ASIC Miner is their next step in the evolution of their ASIC chips as well as going back to the basics with the blade design that started it all. There are some changes that have been made along the way though. First is the cowled dual fan enclosure that the S3 has is a new twist on the first-blade design. They also made overclocking easier as well. The Antminer S3 was initially announced to run at a 478 gh/s and then revised down to 440 gh/s.

It is only a matter of time when will every old miner become outdated and non-effective, and rare are the ones that will ROI in the end.
It seams that bitcoin brought most interest on itself by earning opertunity that mining generates, and has created an oversaturated field.
Bitcoin mining is becoming(actualy more like it allready is) industrial operation, leaving the small guy behind, that being said; i would never again invest in mining equipement.

Sadly, i'm now in this same boat. Last year i was starting to mine BTC and was really excited! Being a part of a pool and generating .1 btc a day was something i really enjoyed seeing! Now, with the same equipment i'm generating roughly 10% of that! It's crazy to think how high the difficulty has gotten in such a short amount of time.

But, like you, i'll probably never invest in mining gear again. The return on investment is too much of a gamble.

Juan will be in touch soon and is working out the compensation setup.

Juan,

How are you guys handling the Coupons/Refund based on Bitmain's annoucement?

1)   10.0% worth of coupon for the B1~B3 customers. This is the default option.
2)   7.7% worth of refund. We will release a function on our official website for application of this option. If you have bought from our resellers, please contact them and provide your Bitcoin address.

Just trying to follow up on this, tried calling no answer. Sad

I was just reading on Bitmain's S3 Discussion and Support forum at this link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=671189.msg8042466#msg8042466

Apparently, Bitmain is just starting to process the refund.

There's also a lot of tech talk on Bitmain's forum. That may be of interest to some of you.

Still waiting on this.  When/How are we getting our refunds/coupons?  You need to address this.  Otherwise all future orders will be going through bitmain directly.

I've also left Skype messages, voice mails and contact requests (on 112bit.com) trying to follow up on this. Thus far, no answer.  Sad

I can vouch for Juan and 112bit.
He working his butt off and is sorry to be out of touch.  He will be back in touch soon.
I have been talking to him on the phone.  All orders are still going to go as normal.

The S3 is nice I reviewed them and really like them.  Sweet miners and so easy to use.
Here is my review.
http://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/news/review-antminer-s3-450-ghs-bitcoin-asic-miner-bitmain/2014/07/25
Let me know how you like yours when you get it.

So is this true?  The only ways to purchase is with either bank wire or BTC?
Yep. Those are the two ways. Pay bankwire the 25$-50$ would be well spent having a fraud department to call if something goes wrong.
Went through the thread in detail and seems one can use Paypal(?)/Credit Card via Escrow.com.  Think I'm going to give the S3 a shot.

Sorry I understand now. I am not sure why Dmxl is finicky. Maybe an update will fix it.
So you went 240 on your X6 that is very interesting results. I stayed at 280. I will try going to 240 as well to see if anything changes for me.

I wish I knew why it is not working for you. Have you tried the Zeus image and put the correct amount of chips and 280 to make sure it is not a bad miner?

They use the same chips but different freq and lower power to achieve the results.

Clock of 240??

EDIT:
I think stock is 328 and most run it at 340.... maybe that's your problem, it would explaine your low consuption at the wall...

I take that back, I had the X3 in mind...

--ltc-debug should be --zeus-debug but it not help, still 99% HW

i think X3 and X6 use different usb chips then

so, why X3 can use CGminer Dmaxl Zeus while X6 can only get 99% HW ?

of cause my zeus miner is fine, zeus's img works fine, minera's bfgminer woks fine too ( before is my bad to set wrong clock to get 20% HW )

but with CGminer Dmaxl Zeus i only can get 2M/each and 9x% HW, i wonder why

PS: my zeus is HURRICANE X6, power-reduce version, 64chips, 240Mhz, 9-10M Hash power, 230W on wall ,not X3 which is 328Mhz or so
659  Economy / Goods / Re: 🌟 🌟 Bitcoin Shirts! | 20+ available! | $25 each 🌟 🌟 on: July 31, 2014, 03:19:14 AM
Very good. I will pick one up tomorrow when I'm not on my tablet.
Thanks.

Do you have them in XL?

Yes sir, the sizes offered include small, medium, large, XL, 2XL, 3XL

I love this design.

Thanks! I hope you enjoy wearing it as much as I enjoyed designing it.
